Good morning. If your pictures were uploaded to Google Photos, all you have to do is install the Google Photos app on your new phone and sign in with the same Google account. You will then have access to all of the pictures you previously uploaded. 

Also, you can always go to the Google Photos website and access all of your uploaded pictures from there.

Good morning. If you used the Google Photos app to delete pictures or videos, then they will be moved to the trash bin in Google Photos. Those files will stay there for 60 days. After 60 days, they will be permanently deleted. You should look in the trash bin in the Google Photos app for your files. 

But, if you have emptied the Google Photos trash bin, or if it has been more than 60 days since you deleted the files, then there's no way to get them back.

There is no way to archiven an album in Google Photos. Even when you archive all photos (which is not even possible from an album) the album will still be visible. 
But there is another workaround:
  1. Click on the "Share" button and then "Create link" (if not already created)
  2. You can now tap 3-dots > Hide from library
    The album will be visible in the "Sharing" part, but no longer in the library.

I've prepred a 24Gb .zip export file via Google Takeout. The file is way within expiry date, but upon clicking download, a google 404 error message shows up and will not proceed any further and would not start the download either. I've tried with other devices and other browsers without any luck.

Is there any possible solution to download my files, or this was a really bad idea to trust google photos.
