Sorry you did not get a reply. I waited because I am not so familiar with editing on an Android device, and when I gave it a try, it said that I had only access to some editing tools when I have a Google One subscription. I could not find in Google Photos what you need.

When you have access to a computer, you can sign in to your Google Photos and find the tools you need, for example Edit > Colour > Warmth and add some "warmth".

To find what is the object, please follow these steps.

Take a picture of the unknown object.
Open the pic through google photos.
Tap the lens icon at the bottom.
That will launch a web search & show all the relevant results.
If you wish to improve the accuracy of the results further, then adjust the four corners of the focus area.
That will refine the results further.

Please review the following information in case there are any options you haven't yet tried.

1. Check your online account - photos.google.com

If your photos were successfully uploaded to your online Google Photos account they may be available there. Try visiting photos.google.com and searching for them. If you have more than on

2. Check the trash - photos.google.com/trash

Once you delete photos from your Google Photos account, they're moved to Trash for the next 60 days. If you deleted them by mistake you can always restore them from the Trash folder within those 60 days. Here's the link explaining how to recover them from Trash. If you have more than one Google account, check the trash for all of them.

If you accessed the Trash and manually sent the photos for permanent deletion, or if the 60 days expired, there is no way to recover them from Google Photos.

3. Review other options

if you previously used Picasa, visit picasaweb.google.com and search for your photos.
have you made any backups of the photos on your phone, camera, computer, or elsewhere?
there is a small chance that you can restore the photos using a recover deleted photos app (Android). I haven't used them myself so have no specific recommendations. There may well be more app options if you visit the appropriate app store and try other search terms. I don't see any similar apps on the iOS store, but you could check yourself.
you can contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Use the Google Drive contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Did the unrecognized photos show up in the Google Photos library?

Here are some of the possible reasons why you are seeing photos you may not recognize:

Your Google account shares storage with other products such as Blogger, Google Drive, or Hangouts. It is possible that you uploaded images to one of the other Google products which is now being displayed in Google Photos.
You accepted someone’s invite to share their photo library.
You uploaded someone’s files to your Google Drive storage.
You left your account signed in on another device.
You sold a device without resetting it to factory defaults.
You received the images via a messaging application such as Hangouts, WhatsApp, etc.
You configured the Google Backup & Sync software on a computer to upload the photos from a system folder such as the cache of a web browser.
You set up a third party service (e.g. IFTTT) to automatically upload photos to your account.
You have in your mobile device’s microSD slot a card you aren’t aware of or don’t remember inserting.

You should first review your account security and check for any unknown devices. You already changed your Google password but it's also useful to enabe 2-step verification. If you've looked into these explanations and still aren't sure why you're seeing these photos, please let us know.

Probably you are talking about creating a new album on the Library-page of the Google Photos app, because the word "folder" does not exist there. A folder does contain files, but an album in Google Photos does contain references to files only and that is a big difference.

When you do that you see "Add a title" and when you tap that, you can type a suitbale name for the album and thereafter you can start to add references to pictures in your mainstream.

I don't have a problem with that, so it is completely unclear why this is not possible in your app unless you have typed a name that already was given to an older album.

But it always is wise to close the app and to restart your phone and then try again.

Did you attach the video file to the email? Or was it just a link to the Google Photos video upload?

If you did attach it to the email, then it should be in your Gmail account. I'd recommend searching your Gmail account for it and useSearch filters to find it quicker. You can speak to the crew over in the Gmail forum for support in that area.

Google has started recently to count all videos synced from my android phone to google photos toward the storage quota. Therefore , I have deleted the videos from google photos, knowing that the original videos are still in my phone. Even more, I emptied the google photos trash when the storage did not recover fast enough. Only later I found out the GOOGLE PHOTOS HAVE DELETED MY VIDEOS ON MY PHONE! and there was no way to recover them!

That's cruel!

I understand Google is forcing us now to buy storage, but this is not a fair method.

Anyhow, it doesn't end here. After understanding the issue I tried to stop Google Photos' permissions to delete files on my phone, as suggested in a post, but apparently it doesn't work. Still, when I delete a video from Google Photos, the ORIGINAL VIDEO (and IN ORIGINAL HIGH RESOLUTION) is being deleted on my phone.

How can I stop this?

I would would prefer to keep using Google photos to backup my videos and photos for a short while. But then, I don't want google photos to delete anything on my phone! That's really outrageous.

Please help, before I give up google photos entirely.
