I need my photos from Google photos, but here problem is I had deleted my images permeability trash and as well as bin by accidentally. Will you please help me out this problem

Answer:

Doondi Phani Kumar,

When you attempt to manually empty the trash bin in Google Photos, a warning message box appears that explains you are about to permanently delete those pictures and videos. If you choose to proceed anyway, there is nothing that any of the volunteers in this forum can do to help you recover your pictures.

The information on the following Google Photos Help pages will help you become more familiar with finding, deleting, and restoring your pictures:

If you deleted pictures or videos that were not previously backed up to your account through the Google Photos app, then unfortunately there's nothing that Google or any of the volunteers in this Help Community can do to recover them.

Files that existed only on your phone, ones that were never uploaded to the cloud, cannot be recovered or restored by a cloud storage service. Simply put, Google can't help you recover files it never had in the first place

I am not sure what the problem is.
In which album do you expect the photo to show up ?
When you tale a photo with the camera of your phone it should show up in the Photos tab of the Google Photos app, and in the Camera (or DCIM) folder under library > photos on device.

'We can't restore anything because you have to take care about your own collection through all years.
And you problably also have a computer to download for additional security.
Good luck

PS: typing 2011 in the search box may help if you are logged-in with the same account as used in 2011 and check on photos.google.com for the same account also.

Recently I moved from Apple Photos to Google.  I'm seeing randomly photos not pulling camera or date details- it'll just have the date when the file was added to my library or some random info.  It's also missing the camera and location details.  I know 100% the dates in photos are accurate as I can view in other photo editing software.

Answer:

Hello Sean,

Thanks for posting in the Google Photos Help Forum.

When you move photos and videos from one application to another there is a tendency of file change (Eg: file type/date). The date had already changed when imported or exported.

Hence, when they get backed up they showed up a different date (recent).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Amanda

Answer:

Hi Amanda,
I have this problem. What does "tendency of file change" mean?  I want my google photos to retain the SAME date and the location information that I see in Apple Photos.  What must I do to ensure this happens?  I am using your file uploader tool.  Please advise.  Thanks!

Answer:

@Nicole & Scott Bowman
A photo has several dates, but Google Photos should use the DateTimeOriginal, also called "Date taken".
The file date may be different (date the copy was created).

How to remove special characters from images

Hi, pratap narewade

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

Regretfully, there is no utility in the editor of Google Photos to modify the superimposed text.
You will have to look for some proprietary editor to do so.

Question: Recover deleted permanently files Google photos

Recently permanently deleted files Google photos Backup

Deepak Maurya 6214,

Following is text from the official Google Photos Help page about deleting and restoring photos and videos:

Restore photos & videos
If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it’s there.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Library  Trash .
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone’s gallery app
    • In your Google Photos library
    • In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
    Important:
    • If you delete a photo or video that’s backed up in Google Photos, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
    • If you delete an item from your Android device without it being backed up, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
    • If you see a photo or video in Google Photos that you think you deleted, it might be on a removable memory card. To delete it, use your device’s gallery app.
    Empty your trash
If you see a request to "Delete permanently" when you try to move an item to trash, your trash is full. Your trash can hold 1.5GB.

Important: If you empty your trash, you permanently delete any items in your trash.

Don't see the photo or video?
If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
    • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
    • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
    • You permanently deleted it from your trash.
    • You permanently deleted it from your device’s Gallery app, without backing it up first.
When you attempt to manually empty the trash bin in Google Photos, a warning message box appears that explains you are about to permanently delete those pictures and videos. Hi, Garima Arora

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

To delete the photos stored on the cloud completely, please follow these steps on your Android phone.
    • First, turn off backup & sync.
    • Next, open the photos tab & long-press on the first picture till a tick appears.
    • After that, while still in pressed condition, stroke down your finger to the bottom & park it there.
    • The screen will keep on scrolling selecting multiple pictures.
    • Once you reach the bottom, tap the bin icon.
Since the collection would be large, you may not see an intermediate stop of storing the pics in the Bin.
Nevertheless, through the library option, reach the bin & then empty the entire content in that.

That would get rid of your entire data stored in Google Photos.
Once done, please uninstall or disable the app.

Question: How do i send photos from my photos app to galler on m android stlo 5

How to move or send photos to my gallery from photo app on a android stylo 5

    Hi, William Bryant 4280

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

To bring back the pics to your phone's gallery, either, you can download photos one by one.
Regrettably, there is no option to do so on a batch of photos.

Alternatively, you can install the Google One app there is a one time option to restore up to two hundred most recent photos to the device.
However, the local folder structure can not be restored.
To do so, there is no requirement to join Google One, the option is available to everyone.
However, the method may not be effective to recover something when the count is more than two hundred.

Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/
Select the Google Photos app for data download.
Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments into your phone's gallery.

That will bring everything to your phone.

    Answer:

    Stormy Gutierrez,

I'm sorry for what you're experiencing. Unfortunately, none of the volunteers in this forum have access to your account, photos, or other personal information.

If pictures were recently deleted from your Google Photos storage, check the Google Photos Trash. Deleted photos remain here for 60 days, after which they're permanently deleted. If there are pictures in the Trash, you can easily restore them.

If someone with access to your account intentionally deleted photos permanently (by emptying the Trash bin) it's unlikely you'll be able to recover those pictures. If you are a Google One subscriber, you can try contacting Google One Support from your Google Account page.

Additionally, I recommend these steps for securing your Google account and data:
    - do a security checkup of your account
    - do a privacy checkup of your account
    - change your Google account password
    - enable 2-step verification
    - review your Google Play order history for suspicious activity; report unauthorized charges HERE

    Hi, Sharuk Sonu

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

Can you please provide some more information?

Do you backup over a WIFI or data network?
Further, are you using WIFI connected to the ISP through wired broadband? or 3G/4G mobile network?
How many devices are sharing the same connection?
Have you evaluated the upload speeds of your network? Many web-based utilities can assess that.
    .
Have you put a daily limit on the use of data in the Google Photos app?
Have you activated the data saver in the settings of the phone?
Additionally, have you permitted the Google Photos app to use data in the background?

Your reply to these points will help in knowing the exact reasons for the slow upload.

I have set up shared access to my wife's Google Photos library. Her iPhone now uploads HEIC files to her Google Photos library. If we download one of these HEIC files directly from her library to a Windows PC, the file is good (recognized by software, can be converted to JPEG, etc.). If instead I first save the file from her Google Photos library to mine via sharing, I can view the image in Google Photos, see info, etc., BUT when I download this HEIC file from my Google Photos library to a Windows PC the file has been corrupted - it is identified as an invalid HEIC file by conversion software, cannot be converted to JPEG.

Question: I just downloaded google photos and no people grouped; just places & things. Why?

    Get facial recognition

    Hello John,

Welcome to the Google Photos Help Forum.

    To change or remove label:
    • At the top right of someone's face group, click More , then Edit name label or Remove name label.
    To apply label manually:
    • At the top of a person's face group, click "Who's this?"
    • Enter a name or nickname. Now you'll be able to search with that label using the search box.
Note: Only you will see the private face labels you choose, even if you share those photos.

Know what 'remove results' option is for:
If you see a photo that's in the wrong group, you can take it out.
    1. Open the group you want to remove something from.
    2. Select the photo you want to remove.
    3. At the top right, click More , then Remove results.
Meanwhile, Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Photos app on your iOS device to check is this sorts the issue. Also, could you try toggling the switch off & then on for face grouping in Google Photos?
    • Go to Google Photos app> Settings > Group similar faces> Face grouping.
Note: This will not delete the photo or video from your Google Photos library. Here's a help article for your reference to know more about face grouping and adding a label. Facial recognition feature isn't restricted to region specific. Here's a help article to more on how to use it.

It's just not possible that I've already uploaded 3 GB since June 1st.

    Answer:

    Leen M,

The amount of free storage space you have with Google is shared between Google Photos, Google Drive, and Gmail.

This means that email attachments in Gmail, original quality pictures in Google Photos, and certain file types in Google Drive will all reduce the amount of space you have left.

Visit the Google One storage page to see your current storage usage. Visit the Google One Storage Management page to view more comprehensive details about your files along with options for cleaning it up to create more space.

This info should go a long way to helping you figure out what's responsible for using your storage.

Question: How do a change a video to mp4 to png or jpeg

Went to photos and email no luck . trying to enter vedio in art contest

    James,

It sounds like what you're trying to find is a way to save just one frame of a video as a standalone picture. Is that right?

This is not a feature that's currently available with the native Google Photos app, nor on the Google Photos website. However, I have also wanted to save some frames of videos in the past, and I found an app in the Google Play Store that works for this.

    That app is called Shutta

With it, you can scroll through the frames of your video file and pick the exact stills you want to save as standalone images. It's pretty easy to use.

Keep in mind, though, that the frames you extract from a video will not be of the same quality as pictures you take with your phone's camera. This is because video resolution is much smaller than the size of a single photograph. There's nothing that can be done about this, either.

Let me know if you have more questions about this.

    Regards,
    ~ Greg

    Answer:

Stop the video at the right moment and take a screenshot.
Generally that will be a png-file but if uploaded to Google Photos and edited a bit, it will become a jpg-file.

Question: I want to recover my photos on my new phone

My all call list are recovered so why my photos are not??

    Rahul Tiwari 5721,

If the pictures that were on your old phone are not visible in the Google Photos app on your new phone, that means those pictures were never actually uploaded or backed up to your account. Or you're not logged into the same Google account on the new phone.

It's possible that the pictures you're missing (assuming that you're logged into the same account) were in folders on the old phone that weren't selected for automatic backup. Or maybe the backup process hadn't finished yet.

The only way to verify for certain that your pictures have been successfully uploaded from your phone to your account in the cloud is to visit the Google Photos website from a computer. If your pictures aren't visible on the website, then they haven't been uploaded.

If that's the case here, then unfortunately there's nothing that Google or any of the volunteers in this forum can do to help you recover your pictures. Nobody here has access to your account or your files, and Google can't help you recover files it never had in the first place.

      Answer:

Unlikely that you are doing anything wrong. It's possible that resetting your Account in the App will fix this problem. You can try the following:

      1. Open Google Photos App on your phone.
      2. Tap the icon with your image (or initial) in upper right of screen.
      3. Tap on  your email address.
      4. Select Use Without an Account
      5. Power off your phone and power it back on.
      6. Repeat Steps 1 - 3 above but now choose to Add an account and sign back into your original account.
      7. Go back to Settings and be sure Backup & Sync is toggled on, then wait an hour or so and see if the backup starts to work in the background.

      3. Select Google Drive, then select the images you want in the photo book and follow the prompts to create and purchase the book.

      Answer:

I cannot see any "Print Store View" when logged onto photos.google.com.
I can see a Photo Book option on the left side under "sharing\

      Answer:

In the first image immediately below, you see what pops up on my browser at photos.google.com, including a Print Store option.

But if that doesn't work, see the second image below, which is also a view of the browser navigated to photos.google.com and shows a prompt to "Upload" images to Google Photos. When you select Upload, you are then given an option to upload from Google Drive. Once the images are uploaded to Google Photos, you can then add them to a Photo Book in the ordinary way. Same effect as above, just with an additional step.

If you choose to proceed anyway, there is nothing that any of the volunteers in this forum can do to help you recover your pictures.

          Question: Down size video

Down size video so I can send it on message

          Hi, Gerald Steiner 1678

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

The moment we select high-quality over original quality some size reduction happens automatically

To have some more size reduction, you can trim that by removing some frames from the start & end in the video editor available in the Google Photos app,

          To do so,
          • Open the video.
          • The video will start playing instantly without showing controls. To make that visible, tap once & pause the video.
          • At the bottom, you will see an icon with three horizontal lines & sliders over that. Tap the icon & then that will show various choices to edit.
          • Here, at the bottom, you will notice a broad bar with two thick white lines at each end. That is the collection of all the individual frames in the video.
          • Tap any of the white lines & slide horizontally to deselect some frames from either end. Then save the trimmed copy.
However, if you do not wish to do trimming, then you may have to look for some proprietary apps to achieve the size reduction.

          Answer:

          That is a problematic solution.
You need to send that video as a link or share straight from Google Photos.
That's why you have Google Photos.
          Just try.

If you have a question about recovering deleted photos/videos on Google Photos :

Please check in the Google Photos trash, maybe there are the photos/videos you are looking for. (Open Google Photos --> Trash)
If the photos/videos are permanently deleted, I think you cannot restore them.

I understand and I know how important Google Photos is for you. Please give the below steps a try in a sequence to help resolve the issue:
          • Check your internet connection (mobile data).
          • Close the Google Photos app and re-launch it.
          • Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos with the same Google Account.

            • Touch Apps.
            • Select Google Photos in the list.
            • Touch Clear data.

            • Visit the Google Play Store.
            • Open Google Photos.
            • Touch on Update.

          Answer:

          @Sylvia
Most likely you have used another Gmail-account before 2019 - probably on a preceeding phone.
Or these photos never haved reached Google.
You always can check in Safari in photos.google.com what you really have at Google because due to bad design, the app does not show that. Then you need to log-in with your account (adress + password) to see anything.
          Please come back to report.

Today (July 5th 2021) I have noticed that the DCIM\\Camera folder on my phone is almost empty. I've had the phone for over 2 years and taken hundreds of photos of holidays/family occasions, but this folder has now been reduced to just 35 recent photos.

What's worse is that I do/should have had a backup on Google Photos, but it seems that it has synced with the phone and also deleted many hundreds of photos. I've checked the Bin/Trash, but they are not there. Perhaps because it has been just over 30 days? If so, this is extremely frustrating as the photos have vanished without my knowledge, so how was I expected to go in and recover them from the Bin?

The 35 Camera photos that remain date back only as far as 1st June 2021. This happens to be the date of the most recent Google Play system update which I think could be responsible.

I've researched ways to recover the photos but the software was unable to root my device (Samsung Galaxy S10+) and I'm worried about doing so manually. The Android photo recovery software also looks very expensive and I feel angry about paying when Google has deleted my photos!

Would anybody be able to help me at all? The only way seems to be rooting and recovering if anybody knows a safe and free way to do so. Also if anybody can shed any light on what exactly has happened that would be useful to know.

Thank you. This is my first post so I hope that I have included all the details you need.

I appreciate that most members here are volunteers and that this issue can't be solved with the usual guidance.

I was hopeful that maybe this might catch the attention of a Google employee, so I will try and remain patient for a little while longer.

This is a very desperate situation, it's giving me sleepless nights and I was hoping that having supported Google products for my entire life, I would at least get some support in my time of need. Please can somebody help, or at least point me in the direction of somebody who can. Thank you.

          Answer:

          Adam,

I recognize your frustration and I also greatly appreciate your understanding that we are all just volunteers here. Believe me, most people don't know that or simply don't care and attack us like everything is our fault. So, again, thank you.

None of the volunteers in this forum have any access to your account, files, photos, or other personal information. So, there's no way for any of us to "see" or "do" anything other than give advice and insight based on our own experiences.

That being said, what I do know is that there is nothing in the Google Photos app that should automatically delete pictures. The only way pictures get deleted by the Photos app is if you manually and intentionally choose that option. So, if you did not purposely delete your pictures with the Photos app, then it's likely that a different app or process is responsible for this. Of course, this assumes that your apps and device OS are up to date and working properly.

Have you checked for your pictures on the Google Photos website? Have you recently started using another device? Have you recently logged into your account from a new/public/not-your-own computer or device? Have you shared your Photos library with another user?

Those are just some of the off-hand questions that come to mind that could point you in the right direction to figuring out what happened. Let me know.

          Answer:

          Hi Greg,

Thanks for your response and especially for putting some genuine thought into helping me resolve this, as I was half expecting a generic support response.

You mentioned that the photos on Google Photos will not automatically delete themselves despite them being deleted from my mobile. This has astonished me as it means that not only were 2 years of photos removed from my mobile storage, but also somehow on Google Photos at the same time. There may be some people thinking this happened due to user error, but can you see how unlikely that would be for me to accidentally delete all these photos both on my mobile and Google Photos?

The Google Photos website is the main one I've been using. I'd also like to point out that all my screenshots and stuff are still there and unaffected, it is just DCIM Camera images (the important ones!) that are affected.

I haven't started using any new devices and I haven't shared any photo albums with anybody at all. I have/use only basic apps, have downloaded nothing dodgy, and the mobile is fully up-to-date (as mentioned previously).

Honestly I was being hopeful that someone from Google might see this and there might be some emergency backup somewhere that could help me out. This seems very unlikely so my final option would be to spend stupid money on some Android deep recovery tool. This isn't a dig at you Greg, but after something as disastrous as this I can't see myself spending any more money on Android/Google products from now on.

The archive within Google Photos just is a secundary stream at Google hidden in the main Photos-page.
So to be able to add pictures on phone to that archive, backup has to be switched on to the same account as for the normal stream and you need wifi.
Unless you are using a special fileformat not compatible with Google Photos like transparent png's (no normal screenshots), there should be no problems. So try with a normal camerashot also.
And your phone needs to have enough free space for normal operation of the app.
