The only feasible approach is to download from https://photos.google.com on desktop in bulk selections of 500 and then create yearfolders which can be copied to a micro-sd which can be put into the phone. Just for viewing merely via Google GO (no internet needed).
Wait on other advices, but you can forget about any automatics.

I just tried on my iPhone, here is how the workflow worked for me..
- Use Photoscan to scan photo
- Photo is added to Apple Photos Library
- If you have backup and Sync on for Google Photos, the picture should then be uploaded to Google Photos when you next open the app.
Do you see the scanned pictures when you open the Google Photos app? If not, you may not have allowed PhotosScan to have access to your Apple Photos library.

As far as I understand, it is the smart storage manager which is preventing normal functioning of the fee-up space functioning which normally deletes all photos on device which are safely stored at Google.
And normally most people get very angry and shocked that they lost all in their gallery because Google is totally irrelevant for them.
PS: you can use the Google Files app to clean-up clutter.

However, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup.
There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.

and run a scan for anything to recover.

Putting back the pictures in the gallery will defeat the purpose of "Free up space"
Nevertheless, to bring back the pics to your phone's gallery, either, you can download photos one by one.
Regrettably, there is no option to do so on a batch of photos.
Alternatively, you can install the Google One app there is a one time option to restore up to two hundred most recent photos to the device.
However, the local folder structure can not be restored.
To do so, there is no requirement to join Google One, the option is available to everyone.
However, the method may not be effective to recover something when the count is more than two hundred.
Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/
Select the Google Photos app for data download.
Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments into your phone's gallery.
That will bring everything to your phone.

Good evening. Unfortunately, there is little control over how animations (GIFs) are created in Google Photos. So, if you want to adjust one you will have to use a third-party editor.
I have successfully used GIFMaker website countless times for things like this. It's free, and you can edit the speed, order, and other aspects of the animation.
My suggestion is that you use the Send Feedback feature within the Google Photos app to request that developers add more comprehensive controls like these.

To delete items from Google Photos, go to https://photos.google.com and click on the tick in the top left corner of an image when you hover over the thumbnail. Select as many as you want. Then, click on the bin icon in the top right of the page.
If the storage on your Google Account is full, then it may also be a good idea to check your Google Drive for unnecessary items. You can do this using the following link: https://drive.google.com. Once you have deleted items from Drive, make sure you empty the 'Trash' area, as deleted items will sit here for 30 days and will continue to use up storage. Only when they are deleted from 'Trash' are the items completely removed and only then will you gain the storage back.
Once you have done this, make sure you refresh your Google Workspace sites/apps/web apps (you may need to do it a few times) in order to see any change.

However, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup.
There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.
Nevertheless, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app (be sure to not pick one that requires rooting) https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps;
and run a scan for anything to recover.

I have lots of space available in Google, nearly 90%.
Can i assume that by deleting all the whatsapp media in their app won't delete it from my Google back up and therefore stop this message appearing?
