An animation is intended to be used almost like an old fashioned "flip book", where you have multiple images that are just slightly different from each other, so when you put them together and flip through them quickly it looks like an animation, like a mini-movie. It works well for photos taken in "burst mode". For this reason, you cannot change the speed.

 

For different something like what you're trying to do, I would recommend creating a Movie. In here, you can adjust the length of each clip. You can choose to have background music or no music.

To see your backed up pics, enter the link https://photos.google.com in any of the web browsers available on your phone. Log into your account & then see whether the photos become visible.

 

However, if you tap to open any pic in Google Photos & slide up, you would see an option "Delete from device" for all backed up items. 

That means the photo is already there on the cloud. Then you can tap the option & delete it.

 

But, never delete the photo through any other means when the backup & sync is on. Otherwise you will lose the cloud copy also.

Read the info Google before clicking. 

But many make the same mistake and we can't make clear towards Google that they should warn much more clearly.  

However nothing is lost because they all should be visible in the Google app if you are logged-in with the same account as used in the backupsetting. 

And your gallery will get filled with new photos soon enough. 

It is too difficult to get all back, but sometimes you may need old one in some app and that picture can be downloaded from Google then - just select and hit the 3 dots - then you will see that option. 

 

PS: the Google One app has an option to get 200 recent pictures back for free.

• Upload the picture in high quality. That will produce some size reduction.

Once installed, the editor in Google Photos shows that option through "More".

The editor in the Google Photos app allows corrections in the orientation of pictures.

To do so, please follow these steps through the phone app.

• Tap to open the picture
• Tap on the edit icon below the picture
• Tap on menu option Crop. See the screenshot at the bottom "Rotate".
• Tap on the rotation symbol for achieving a turn through ninety degrees. Each successive tap will add ninety degrees going through 90 -> 180 -> 270 -> and again back to 360 degrees.
• That will help you correcting sideways or upside-down orientations.
• If you wish to fine-tune then move the slider above the rotation symbol. That helps in correcting slight misorientations at an increment of one degree.

This sounds like they were deleted from an app other than Google Photos since you mention a shared folder.

 

In case you want to get a deleted photo or video back, check your trash to see if you can get it back. If your photo or video has already been backed up and you deleted it, it will remain in your Trash for 60 days.
