Since you are posting in the Google Photos forum, I would assume you are looking for an image in Google Photos, you can use this to find all your images sorted date added: https://photos.google.com/u/0/search/_tra_
 
Or, if you are using the new "Locked Folder" feature (I haven't used it, it's not available on any of my devices):
 
Where can I find items in Locked Folder? 
You can find items you’ve moved to Locked Folder in the Photos app library under "Utilities".
 
Or, if the assumption above is wrong, and you but the image someplace in the Android file system, you might want to use a File Management utility to find it by filename, date,  type or some other attribute.  This seems to be a popular one:

Hi! I just did this. I went through Shutterfly photos that I wanted and copied them to a new album. Then, click on 'download'. Shutterfly will send a link to your email with an archive of all the photos. It will be in your downloaded files. Go to google photos - click upload - go to computer - go to downloads - go to the archive - and you are all set! It took less than a minute!

  2. Tab Library
  3. Tap the desired folder under Photos on device

  6. Tap Move to folder

Note that if the photos are backed up to Google Photos this will not remove them from the Photos view and even if the new folder is not selected for Backup & sync any contents will still be deleted if deleted using the Google Photos app.
 
You should also have a setting in your camera app which saves new photos to the SD card.

To do this, select up to 2000 photos at a time, delete in Trash and clear Trash.  

I would like to warn about possible unpleasant consequences, although this may not necessarily happen.  

If you have many thousands of photos, then do it slowly so that in the automatic system these mass deletions would not lead to the fact that the process of deleting from the servers in the account could take several days (during mass actions in the Storage, sometimes there is a slowdown in deleting,  - for a large amount of data).  
Also, mass deletions can lead to temporary blocking of the account, as the automatic system can identify this as suspicious activity from the hacker.  
Therefore, act gradually, you don't need to rush anyway. 

 And uploading large files is also better not at once many thousands at the same time.

To stop using Google Photos & to entirely delete the photos stored on the Google cloud, please follow these steps on your phone.
  • First, turn off backup & sync.
  • Next, uninstall or disable the Google Photos app on your phone.
  • Next, open the link https://photos.google.com through any browser on your phone. Log into your Google account if the browser asks you to do so.
  • After that, go on deleting the pics one by one. You can speed up this step if you do so through a desktop PC. There, you can select multiple pics through the combination of the Shift + Mouse key.
  • Once you have deleted all the pics, empty the trash bin also.
Once done, please block the webpage https://photos.google.com within all browsers available on your phone & desktop PC so that you do not visit that site again accidentally.

I have the  same issue as Jenny.
I am wanting to stop using Google Photos completely. I turned off the backup and sync option on the app on my iPhone.
But it is taking up a lot from my 15GB storage. I do not need Google Photos, I have iClod on my iPhone.

I have tried the above steps but I am unable to complete the steps outlined above. I have no options to disable or uninstall Google Photos.

 I'm afraid if I delete the recently set up Google photo app on my iPhone I will delete all my photos everywhere.  I can not find how to get rid of Google Photos without losing any photos/video as on my iPhone and iCloud.

Are there any other alternative solutions?

As you're using a custom rom it might have changed your device model details to pixel 3 that's the reason you're getting unlimited photo's at original quality till Feb 2022

The same criteria is for pixel 3 devices.
Would suggest you to roll back to original stock android to get the benefits.

However, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup. 
There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.
 
Nevertheless, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app (be sure to not pick one that requires rooting) https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps;
and run a scan for anything to recover.

It's a minefield ! I recommend to try with some unimportant photos, and make a backup first.
