The easiest way to transfer the photos from the phone to a PC is by connecting through the USB port.

Once done, select the option of "Data transfer" out of the ones offered by the pop-up message that flashes the moment you connect your phone to the PC.

Nevertheless, if you have freed up space on your phone, you can do so through Google Photos using the following options.

You can download photos by accessing the link https://photos.google.com through any browser on your PC. Select multiple pics through the combination of shift key + mouse & tap the three dots to see the download option.

Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/

Select the Google Photos app for data download.

I went through the painful process of going through 500 photo and changing their dates, which seemed to be working well on my PC, however on my phone only half have moved even after waiting a night. The rest are in a big lump at the upload date. Help?

First try clearing the app cache, then if that doesn't work clear the app data.

You can do this by going long tapping on the app icon and tapping the "i" (might say "App Info" next to it) > Storage then Clear Storage (or the app data) or Clear Cache. Clearing the cache just removes temporary files, clearing the data will essentially be a fresh install, the only thing lost will be your settings no actual data. If you clear the app data, it will take a while (several hours to a day) for Google Photos to sync your device with your account online and show all your images.

For some reason the app isn't syncing with your account. Try turning on wi-fi and leaving the app open in the foreground for a while to see if it updates. If not, trying changing the date/time on all the "wrong" images (can be something small like 1 minute) to see if this forces it to sync.

Sorry to note your are not finding your pictures.

When we delete something from the phone through the Google Photos, then the sync action in the app removes it from the cloud also. The same action happens when we delete something in Google Photos, the app removes the matching content from the phone too.

Nevertheless, any deleted picture is retained in the bin for sixty days.

If your delete action is recent, you will find all the items in the bin. The bin icon

becomes visible in the library view. Tap that & recover everything available in the bin.

However, if your delete action has already crossed sixty days, or you have emptied the bin inadvertently, there is no way to recover anything through Google Photos.

If you want to get a deleted item back, check your trash to see if you can get it back. If your photo or video has already been backed up and you deleted it, it will remain in your Trash for 60 days.

On your computer, go to the trash or select Trash from the menu in the app.
Select the photo or video you want to restore.
At the top right, click Restore . That photo or video will be restored to your Google Photos library and added back into any albums it was in.

Don't see the photo or video? If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
