Help. Occasionally when taking a video it record fine. Then when it plays back it's at a quicker speed and no way to change this. It plays too fast. But was recorded at normal speed.

Regretfully, the video player in Google Photos doesn't offer any feature to adjust the speed of the video.
You will have to look for some proprietary video player like VLC.

The first thing is to check if the images/videos are available in the web version of Google Photos. To do this, go to https://photos.google.com.

Look under the "Photos" menu, located in the left menu. If the images / videos do not appear, proceed to look for them in the "Trash".

If the resources you are looking for are there, just select them and click the "Restore" button.

Remember that images in the "Trash" are automatically deleted after 60 days. After this date it is not possible to recover them. If you delete the trash it will not be possible to recover the information.

You can review at the following URLs (I recommend you review them from a desktop browser):

An important consideration is that the "Backup and sync" option has been enabled on mobile devices. If this was not the case, the images and videos that you have deleted from your phone will not be able to recover them, at least from Google Photos.

Lastly, if the deletion process is foreign to Google Photos and responds to file management on mobile or desktop, I recommend using a file recovery app. On the Internet you can find different.

Welcome to the Google Photos Support Community.

Unable to back up videos/photos can sometimes be upsetting. I'd recommend trying the below steps to check if they resolve the issue:

Open the Google Photos app on your mobile device .
At the bottom, tap Assistant .
Read the first card. If it says:

"Back up & sync is off": Tap "TURN ON" on the card to back up your device's photos and videos, including ones you capture in the future.
"A photo or video was skipped": A photo or video on your mobile device doesn't meet our uploadrequirements:

Photos can't exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels.
Videos can't exceed 10GB.

It does take approximately 24-48 hours for the photos and videos to sync across all devices. Please ensure to have 'Backup & sync' enabled on the Google Photos settings while you're backing up your photos and videos. It's possible that Google Photos is merely scanning your library again, the scan will take some time, but it shouldn't re-upload the photos entirely as duplicates. The app may look like it's doing this but it's actually doing a re-scan of the photos.

If the issue still persist after 24-48 hours, then give the below steps a try in a sequence to help resolve the issue:

Close the Google Photos app and re-launch it.
Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos with the same Google Account.
Clear App data:

Open your device's Settings app (not the Google Settings app).
Touch Apps.
Select Google Photos in the list.
Touch Clear data.

Update the Google Photos app on your Android phone:

Visit the Google Play Store.
Open Google Photos.
Touch on Update.

I had Vivo V15 Pro, and i had clicked some valuable photos during vacation to London, presuming my photos are backed up on daily basis as per default google settings, and after coming back to India somehow i had to exchange the phone, before exchanging i ran back & sync on Goggle Photos and it showed that backup got completed. After then i reset it to factory settings before handing over.

Now when i see Google photos i could see photos of current date, 1 day before and then photos 12 days older, Google photos not showing photos between that period. I am not sure why Google photos is not showing up photos for that period. Did the Google Auto sync did not worked during that period? Kindly suggest How can i retrieve photos for that period.
