Hi Ian,

It does not look as if in the camera app there is an option to turn off HDR, which was an option in previous versions of camera.
 
There is an option under advanced settings where you can show both the DNG and JPEG folders. Perhaps if you open the DNG file in another application such as Snapseed, for example, you may be able to adjust the file to better represent how you want it to look.

Additionally, in camera under settings, you can swipe all the way down to the feedback menu option and make a feature request regarding this app.

Hi Harish

Photos in locked folders are considered sensitive documents. Therefore they are not backed up to Google's Photos, and are not transferred from one phone to another, for example, when setting up a new phone. Additionally, if you move a photo from Google photos to a locked folder, Google photos will remove the image from the backed up file and it will only store the image locally on your phone in the locked folder.

To better understand how photos work with locked folders, here is a link. You should read it completely so you understand how images work with this feature.


Unfortunately, it sounds as if the images were not moved from a locked folder back to Google photos for online storage and since the phone was lost, these images are likely gone. You may want to see if the photos were shared with someone else and perhaps get the images back that way.

Hi George ,

You have to make sure that you use the remove from album option. If you delete a duplicate photo from your main photo stream, it will remove it from all albums.

So what you want to do is, open the album with the duplicate photo. Open the duplicate photo in full view and swipe up. Select the option to remove from album. This will remove the duplicate photo only from that album, but leave the photo and other albums.

The safest way to delete from Google Photos is to delete the Google Photos app and delete the photos at https://photos.google.com/  or in bulk at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ where they are sorted by upload date. Check the trash and if 100% sure empty it (cannot be undone)

The camera roll photos will not be affected.
 
If you need to reinstall the app do not enable Back up & sync,
The photos will be backed up again if Backup & sync is re-enabled.

If you have back up & sync on, photos and videos you delete will stay in your trash for 60 days.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Trash Trash.
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to recover.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone
    • Into the "Photos" section of the app.
    • Into any albums it was in.
If you have deleted the photos from the Trash, then I'm sorry but you can't retrieve them. This is why you receive a warning when you delete from the Trash. Deleting from the Trash is permanent. 
 
Lastly, you could try an Android Data Recovery app that might be able to restore the files to from your phone. But I can't promise that it will work as they are all 3rd party apps.

First- If you have more than one Account, make sure  you are looking at the correct account and didn't  purchase it for the wrong account.

After you purchase storage from Google for Google Drive, the process  is as follows:
1. it can take up to 24 hours for the storage to be available in the system.
2. If the storage wasn't purchased directly through Google, it can then take an additional 24 hours to be reflected in the system.
 
If your storage is incorrect, sign in to your Google Account to see if your payment has been processed.(https://one.google.com/storage)
 
If the payment was processed AND it has been 24 hours since you purchased storage from Google (OR 48 hours since you purchased storage from a non-Google source) AND your storage is still not correct, THEN contact the Google Drive support team. (https://support.google.com/googleone/gethelp?)
