I understand how important Google Photos is for you and I'll be happy to help. This seems to be more of a network issue.

In the meantime, could you please uninstall and reinstall the Google Photos app on your iOS device and login with the same Google Account to check if this sorts the issue?

I have uploaded a lot of pictures from my desktop computer to Google Photos using the automatic Back…

I have uploaded a lot of pictures from my desktop computer to Google Photos using the automatic Backup and Synchronize (the realtively new program from Google). Later I have edited the pictures - correcting the dates taken, added captions and descriptions. But these changes don't appear in Google Photos.

As a test I have manually uploaded one of the edited pictures using drag and drop to Google Photos-window in my browser. The upload went fine, but now I have two identical photos in Google Photos - one with the old information and one with the new edtited information.

Is there any way to let the program update the photo (like synchronizing)?

If not, are there any workarounds?
Or do I have to manually delete the old versions in Google Photos and then manually upload the edited versions?

Hi Jesper, sorry to say that you will need to delete and re-upload. Day to day workflow I use is to move the photo out of the chosen folder which will delete online (subject to the remove settings allowing deletion) edit then move back. Remembering to re-add to any album after the upload, Regards, Peter
