I have an android phone, where the gallery has some photos and some photos are backed up in google account. 

I backed up my android phone into my google account. So the google account has my contacts, photos etc. 

Now I want to transfer into iPhone. I did android to ios normal transfer procedure according to google/apple website. 

But now, the only photos I can see in my iPhone camera roll are from gallery. I cannot see photos and data from google account. My most stuff is backup in google account. 

Please help on how to transfer from EVERYTHING (all photos and contacts) from android to ios.

My Google storage is full due to when I used to back up my photos to Google Photos. I want to delete the backed up photos from Google Photos, so that I can clear my storage. I am worried they will be deleted from my phone. 

I back them up to my PC or external hard drive and so no longer need the Google Photos back up service.

Can someone advise if I delete photos from Google Photos, will they be deleted from my phone camera storage or just the app? Or please let me know the best way to do this? I have read some Google help pages, but I am still not clear on this.

First switch-off the backupping in the app via settings under your profile. That prevent further uploading. 

Thereafter you can go to photos.google.com in the browser of your computer and start deleting 500 per day and emptying the trash the next day before your select a new 500. 

That's the only slow but safe way, else Google will not reset your counter. 

Alternative: leave them there, but use the Recover storage button on photos.google.com/settings to compress them to high quality - this probably will help to get your usage down enough after a day for getting no troubles with Gmail and Drive. 

Then you also have these pictures present on phone after free-up spacing to clean-up to phone.

I'll be happy to help you. Does the same happen on a Google Photos app on a phone or tablet? Have you tagged/labelled her photo in the 'People' section of Google Photos? If no, here's how you can do it:

To change or remove label:

• At the top right of someone's face group, click More , then Edit name label or Remove name label.
  

To apply label manually:

• At the top of a person's face group, click "Who's this?"
  
• Enter a name or nickname. Now you'll be able to search with that label using the search box. 
  

Note: Only you will see the private face labels you choose, even if you share those photos.

Know what 'remove results' option is for:

If you see a photo that's in the wrong group, you can take it out.

1. Open the group you want to remove something from.
2. Select the photo you want to remove.
3. At the top right, click More , then Remove results.

Meanwhile, Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Photos app on your iOS device to check is this sorts the issue. 

Note: This will not delete the photo or video from your Google Photos library. Here's a help article for your reference to know more about face grouping and adding a label. Facial recognition feature isn't restricted to region specific. Here's a help article to more on how to use it.

If yes, give the below steps a try to help resolve the issue:

• Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos (photos.google.com) with the same Google Account.
• Try Incognito/private window.
• Disable extensions/add-ons/plug-ins.
• Try a different browser to see if it is a browser related issue.

The same thing happens on the google photos app on my google pixel.  I have already added tagged her in other photos but the last time google photos found one was April 13, 2017.  I don't understand how uninstalling the app on my device would fix this, nor do I have the option on my pixel to uninstall google photos.  I'm seeing the problem on both the desktop browser as well as my android app.

Welcome to the Google Photos Help Forum.

I'll be happy to help you. Please share the steps followed to create them. Albums can only be created if all your photos/videos are backed up to the Google Photos library. Having done that, you would then need to create the album within Google Photos by selecting the photos from the library. Here are a couple of ways, how to create albums in Google Photos:

• Procedure 1:
• Select the photos from the 'Photos' section in Google Photos.
• Click on the '+' symbol on the top right corner.
• Select Album.
• Select New Album.
• Name the album on the space provided.
• Click on the 'Tick' mark on the top left corner of the page to complete the creation.

• Procedure 2:
• Open Google Photos.
• Click on Albums.
• Click on 'Three dots icon' on the top right corner.
• Click on Albums (under Create new).
• Select the photos.
• Click on Create.
• Name the album on the space provided.
• Click on the 'Tick' mark on the top left corner of the page to complete the creation.

Do you find them in the Google Photos library ('Photos' section of Google Photos). If no, It can also be that the photos weren't uploaded successfully at the first place. Photos/videos that are not synced or backed up, will still appear in Google Photos and will have this icon  (which means not synced/backed up) or some photos/videos will also show up with the two arrows in a circle mean backup is in progress.

Once the upload is complete there will be no icon on any photos/videos. Often, many of us misinterpret that they are all backed up because the photos/videos show up in Google Photos and we over see the icons on each photo/video. If the photos/videos weren't backed up they cannot be deleted from the Google Photos library nor Trash.

Troubleshooting the reason for which the backup is not happening will take time.

Meanwhile, I suggest the following actions.

 

First, deactivate backup & sync on the source phone.

Next go for the following immediate action.

 

Connect your old phone & new phone to some PC through USB cable.

Then, select "File transfer" mode through the notification panel of both phones.

 

Once done, the phones will appear in Windows Explorer with some drive letters assigned to them. 

Move the files from the source phone to the destination through usual copy paste or cut paste command.

 

Once done, you can arrange for uploading the pics to Google Photo through the new phone. 

If you continue to face problems even on your new phone, then revert.
