The following possibilities would arise once do not renew the the subscription.

 

Scenario 1. you have brought down the space occupied on Google Drive to less than 15 GB before cancelling the subscription. 

• You continue to have uninterrupted access to Gmail, Google Drive & Google Photos.

Scenario 2. You cancelled the subscription but occupied more than 15 GB of space on Google Drive.

• You stop getting emails.
• You can't upload any new documents & photos to Google Drive & Google Photos.
• However, you can delete the content from Gmail, Google Drive & Google Photos.

Nevertheless, if you do not access your account for two years, Google will purge the entire content & remove your ID.

I have an old profile picture of myself attached to one of my gmail accounts.  This picture has long been deleted and is nowhere to be found, either in my google photos, archives, samsung phone, etc.. It appears when I receive a response from any websites (example, if I'm ordering something online and need to create an account, or need to ask a question, etc..).  It's very odd.

This has been an issue for a couple of years now and I would really like to have the ability to delete this picture.  I've exhausted all avenues, but I'm stumped!!  

Any thoughts, idea or solution would be greatly appreciated.

You can PROBABLY find and delete the image in the "Profile photos" directory here:  Album Archive.

This pic has been attached to my Gmail account for quite some time now and the picture is nowhere to be found 🤷‍♀️.

This includes the Album Archive, Google photos, gmail profile pics, etc...  I'm stumped as to what to do short of deleting this gmail account which is not an option.

1.  Where is this picture coming from if it's not in any of the above mentioned places?

2.  Why can't I delete this photo?

Answer:  The problematic account is my personal gmail account that I have been using regularly for years now.

Answer:  I've done this many many times over the years and the new picture does reflect as my google and gmail picture.  The problem is when I e-mail any type of website from this personal gmail account and if they respond, the response always shows up with the old picture (shown below) and NOT the picture that I have changed it to. I've deleted the e-mail content for privacy but wanted to provide a visual example of a response e-mail that I received with the old picture.

 3.  Do you see a "Profile photos" directory at  Album Archive? 

Answer:  Yes I do, as shown below there is only 1 profile photo attached to this google account.

 If not, what are the names of some directories that are visible?

Answer:  I'm not certain what directories that you are referring to?  Can you clarify please.

Answer:  There are only two ways that I access my gmail account.  

• Through the Gmail website account via Gmail (google.com) via my Desktop PC; and/or 
• Through the Gmail "App" via my Samsung phone.

• The updated profile photo is reflecting in both the website and the app. That isn't the problem.

I think you have probably done most of the recommendations, but do check:

https://en.gravatar.com/emails  (I had one which I had forgotten about but it used my same profile image)

Clearing the Data/Cache on the Gmail app seems a little far fetched if you see issue at https://gmail.google.com/  but....

My apologies for not stating the actual issue that I was experiencing in the first place.  I re-read all of my previous posts and I was not clear from the beginning.   I'm sorry about that.  My bad! 

To recap:

• When I send an e-mail to a website (example to inquire about a product or to order a service, etc..) IF the company responds back to my e-mail, a very old picture shows up in the response and NOT the most updated gmail picture that I have assigned to it.
  

I thoroughly read the whole thread you provided to me and found some interesting points and possible solutions.  One of them stated: 

• It could be that the recipient domain receives your profile details for a different profile created using that particular Gmail account. 
• For example, Hotmail would once receive their profile information from their own domain; which means that any Hotmail profile created using that particular Gmail address would show up for a recipient instead of the Google profile info.
• In Gmail, there are 5 different places that Gmail could be referencing that profile photo:

1. In Gmail's Settings:
   • Go to Gmail >> Settings >> "My Picture"
2. In your Google profile:
   • Open https://myaccount.google.com/ or https://aboutme.google.com/
3. Via your contacts:
   • Search for yourself by email address and see what photo appears.
4. If you have a "Send as" address that is treated as an alias, Gmail may reference the profile photo used for that Google account.
5. Via another app or email program, like Apple Mail or Outlook.
• If you have your profile photo attached to your own contact in the address book of one of these programs, be sure to change it.

I went through each of the steps as noted above and the old picture is not to be found. 

To note, I've also checked my Microsoft, Apple Mail and Apple ID account (Haven't used that one in years, but checked it anyway).

My question:

1. Is a recipient domain only refer to Recipients (mailboxes) that are configured with that email addresses within these domains?  Example:  Gmail, Apple Mail or Outlook, etc..
2. Or can this issue also be tied to other accounts such as Amazon, FB, LinkedIn, etc... that are linked to the Gmail account in question?  Just curious.  

Anyway, I kind of give up at this point and I thank you again for your help.

Really, your original post was quite clear.  I simply had no awareness of profile photos coming from anyplace other than the directory in the Album Archive.

 

Caveat: Although I have used Gmail for a long time (~2008) but don't hold myself out as an expert on it.

I don't really understand #1, but to the extent that I think I understand it, I don't see that being a question than #2.  

 

However, I do believe that the issue could be tied to other accounts (such as Amazon, FB, LinkedIn, etc.)... this is particularly with  https://en.gravatar.com/emails    (You did check this correct? It may not ring a bell but if you ever had a Wordpress site or some other things, you might have created it)

I am very pleased with Google Photos - However  I am getting quite frustrated by one thing. 

In albums, when I rearrange photos I can do it with a few then all of a sudden it gets all messed up. I can drag the photo It stays in the place fora few seconds then "jumps back" or to an other place in the album. Sometimes it is not only that photo that "jumps around" it can mess up all photos I have spend a lot of time arranging. It can work som times (Maybe one in 20 times for more tahn20 photos)

I have done this before (helping others) and knows how to do it, I have checked so there is no "sort by date" or anything like that. I am having the same problem with both (android) tablet and phone.
