  • That will show the next page & there you will find the music symbol ♪. Tap on that.
  • The pop-up screen will show the following options "My music" "Theme Music" or "No music".
  • My music allows replacing the current music with your recording in MP3 format.

The steps to take a screenshot vary between phone models & android versions.
 
However, if you have activated OK Google or Hey Google detection on your phone, the easiest way would be to say, "Hey Google take a screenshot". Then the Google assistant will do the work for you. However, once the screenshot is ready, upload that through Google Photos.
 
Nevertheless, the following are the standard methods to take a screenshot.

On my shared album, there is a button in the bottom-right corner that says there is 1 comment.  I know that there have been more than that.  My assumption would be that the 1 comment was on the album itself, not a specific photo.  Clicking on that opens the Activity pane to the right which basically just renders all the photos in the album again.  How can I easily see all comments for the album (including those for a specific photo)?  It seems like there should be a filtered view for this.

Look at the top panel, where there is an icon for comments. Click on this icon and you will see a list of small previews and comments to them. So you can see how the comments for the album, as well as for different photos

If they never were back-upped a full phone need a week to do that. And starting the free-up function will not start backupping before deleting - it just should report how many GB's can be removed from phone, but if hardly anything is backupped, it refuses to do its job or it simply can't do it because of having no working space. So blame your wife instead of Google :-)

First close all apps and restart the phone. Then check what really is saved at photos.google.com in the Chrome-app - maybe almost nothing or very old ones only. And then it becomes hard, because you need to make some space via the Files-app manually by deleting what you have seen at Google first to get some air for normal operation of the Google Photos app. 
Then check under its profile circle if backup is running and if the backup setting is okay. And that should go on until "backup ready" is shown. Thereafter: try to free-up again. 
Good luck

PS: best to connect the charger to prevent slowing down the backup speed due to battery saving. And don't use the Google Photos app for deleting because it will delete the backup as well as the originals.

I don't what this problem has to do with Google Photos, but if that app has done its job correctly, you still may have the uncorrupted backup-files at photos.google.com in the Chrome-app and as far needed some can be downloaded back to phone. 
Then you should delete the corrupted files in the Files-app as far as possible.

It is out of order, wrong dates of downloads or photos taken, and when selecting photos it shows one but shares another.

Sounds viral or just a regular update of the Android operating system. 
But apart from that: it always is wise to close all apps and switch-off the phone before recharging at night. Better for your sleep also :-)
And you can do that now also - perhaps the problem is solved then. 
Thereafter: install the tiny Google Files app which has a cleaning-up function for garbage files.
