Question: Can I file format change from png to jpg?

Screen captures ony phone are png format, but I need to change them to jpg. Can I do it simply? How?

There are several free online 3rd party file conversion sites. .. or any image editing software you might have.. paint, etc.

Andrew, I haven't deleted the photos - they're still in my main folders, not trash folder - but now they're only stored on the cloud, not in my device, so I can only access them when I have internet access. I'd like to restore them to my device so I can access them at all times. 

(I completed a suggestion from the app to clear up storage space.)

There are usually multiple ways to find one of your images in Google Photos.
 
In this case, I would probably simply search for the date, preferably the specific day (example: Sept 1 2021 - isn't too picky about the format or abbreviations) but you could search for the month.
 
You could also search for:  baby   (but this may not be reliable if the baby is obscured by a blanket, etc.).  https://photos.google.com/u/0/search/baby
 
If the sister is indexed in your https://photos.google.com/u/0/people  you might search for her if the photo is recent you might just click on her image and scroll through them. Or search for the sister's name and a specific month.  But simply searching for the date is probably easiest.

If you delete the photo through your camera folder, because of the Sync function, Google Photos will remove that from the cloud also.
 
If you want to free the space on your phone, use the "Free up space" option in the app.
However, before doing so, copy the pics to some external hard disc to avoid any accidental loss.

I do have a lock on my phone but the kid keeps grabbing the phone when I'm busy and accidentally orders prints. My cousin has a mental disability so me explaining to them to not order the prints won't exactly make them understand.

I can still view older works, but not newer ones I've made within the past month and 1/2. When I try and open these particular ones, it quickly shows a downloading screen and then takes me to a black screen where it looks like it's trying to load up my work, but gets stuck and won't go further. This is seriously upsetting me as this has never happened before. I've tried rebooting my phone, copying my work and moving it to another file, downloading it and nothing is working. Please help me fix it.

Good question. I did not know, but shared a single photo with another account, clicked everywhere, and finally found it by clicking on my profile photo next to the shared photo in the "Sharing" tab (both in web app and in Photos app on Android). Not very intuitive.
