I have noticed that when i delete some recent photos from the app very weirdly just a few older photos would move up a day. For example the picture was taken on 1 st of october and it is backed up correctly on the 1st of october it somehow goes up to 2nd of october( still the correct date in details)  after deleting one recent photo. This happens randomly to some pictures after i delete new ones.

 I tried deleting cache but it did not work. The only thing that worked was signing out and signing in again. Then all the pictures are uploaded and all of them are on the correct date again.

Don't worry: we are all humans here. But we are no Google employees ... just volunteers trying to help.

You can do that by "Partner sharing", but but you can not use partner sharing with more than one other account, thus also not share with someone who already shares with someone else.

The other person can make albums with your photos, but only in his own account, unless you give him/her access to your account. If you do so you do not even have to share your photos. 

When the other person makes albums(in his/her account) with your photos, these albums will have to be shared back to you, manually, one by one.

Are you talking about so-called "Live albums", where photos of specified people are automatically added (if recognized by Google)?  Then it should add ALL photos it found for that person(s)

When the quantum of photos awaiting the free up action is too large & also the phone has very little space, the "free up space" command fails to do anything. 

Also, the app may crash.

 

To mitigate the problem, please start deleting manually. 

To do so, tap to open the photo. If you find an option "Delete from device" below the pic, tap that.

 

Once a sizable space is free, you can try using the "Free up space" option again.

 

However, before deleting any picture, it's always prudent to copy those on some external HDD. That eliminates the chance of any accidental loss of the media from the phone or cloud.

@Guillaume: To assure that you upload images in Original from your phone, you need to set Backup & Sync as original on the phone itself, not just a website. Many users switch to Original on a browser opened to photos.google.com but don't make the corresponding change on their phone. If that's your case, this is easily fixed, just go into Menu (three-short horizontal lines), Settings, and Backup & Sync then choose Original quality.

Another possibility is that you've edited images within Google Photos; when you do that, they always appear somewhat compressed even if unedited they are stored in Original quality.

Let me know if this helps (and if it does please select the Recommend button below to help other users with similar problems).

No that does not solve your problem, because you can't go on with original within your free limit very long - especially not when shooting many videos. 

So if you don't like to start paying for more storage, you have to download new stuff to your computer weekly and if you are approaching your limit, you need to use the Recover storage button in the settings to give Google the permission to compress all to High Quality, but zero usage. 

Thereafter you can go on with original uploads for some time again.

@Lobalobo I'm having a similar problem. I am uploading videos on a laptop directly from an SD card through the browser as a manual upload. Uploading in Original Quality, however videos appear to be uploading around 1/10th the file size. I do not have Back Up and Sync turned on on my mobile (as I don't want it backing up my files automatically), but when I do toggle it on my phone is also set as Original Quality. Do I need to have Back Up and Sync enabled permanently on my phone in order to directly upload files on my laptop through the browser?

To throw a twist in, I have in the past few days joined my partner's Family Plan, allowing me to share his 1.7TB Original Quality quota. I can't help but think that it for whatever reason hasn't fully recognised me as on the plan - however I did still have some free Original Quality quota on my account without the family plan, so even if it didn't recognise me on the family plan, it shouldn't stop me using my own quota?

Another interesting point, is even when I was previously uploading in High Quality, many of my files did not reduce in file size (even larger files), and this did not count against my quota. I'm pretty baffled by this whole scenario.

there is another option in the Google Photos app:

 

Tap the 3 bar menu option:> Device folders:> then select the photos: Use the 3 dot menu option to Move to folder: SD card folders: New SD card folder: Create new folder: enter new folder name and CREATE. 

 

Please note that the link to Google Photos remains and if the photos are later deleted they will also be delete from the SD card.

There should also be an option in your camera settings to select the SD card as the default method of saving new photos direct from the camera,
