When I'm using Google Photos on my desktop computer, I keep getting pop-ups that say Move To Archive…

When I'm using Google Photos on my desktop computer, I keep getting pop-ups that say Move To Archive, Order Photo, Copy Text from Image. These pop-ups appear on top of the photograph that I'm trying to look at. These pop-ups are partially obstructing the view of my photograph. These pop-ups are preventing me from seeing the full and complete photograph. That's bad design. If Google insists on doing these pop-ups, at least move them off of the image itself, please. Just make the pop-ups appear over on the right hand side of the screen, rather than obstructing the photograph itself. Even better, is there a way to turn these pop-ups off entirely???

I looked again (also in the web app on computer) and now see indeed "copy text from image" when there is text, "Fix lighting" etc. I must say that I never noticed this. There are already other icons as well. 
If you want to view your photos without these pop-ups you can use the left/right arrows on the keyboard: these overlays do disappear after a few seconds and only reappear when you touch the mouse.

Thanks for the tip about using the left/right arrows on the keyboard, but that won't help me very much. I do a lot of editing on my photos, so I'm having to constantly use the mouse. Those pop-ups keep reappearing pretty consistently, even if I click the "X" to dismiss the pop-up. It would be great if there was a way to turn off the pop-ups, or least move them off of the picture itself.

I wondered why I did not notice these pop-ups, but I do all the viewing and editing almost exclusively in albums, and it looks like these pop-ups do not appear in an album. Can you confirm?

I hardly ever use Albums. I only have two albums with just a few photographs in each album. Just checked it now, and it seems that the pop-ups don't appear in albums, as far as I can tell.

I don't want to pay to upgrade storage, I want to just move the pictures and videos to my computer, and delete all of my Google Photos and videos, until can sort them and move back what I want on my phone.

I can't think of an easy way to do this... while I know how to move files to computer through USB, I'm not sure how to easily delete Google Photos content. I'm OK moving some things back to it but a lot of it is old and I want it archived on an external backup.

Has someone done this before? My phone is almost two years old so I'm going to transfer files anyway, but I noticed that manually moving files from the phone drive to the computer doesn't remove the Google Photos backup.

We can only recover the photos, if photos are still in Trash folder.

As mentioned in this help page,

If a deleted photo isn't in trash, you can't restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
  • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
  • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
  • You permanently deleted it from your trash.
  • You permanently deleted it from your device's Gallery app, without backing it up first.

Many of my photos uploaded by Backup and Sync through my Mac have faces that are not detected by Google Photos.  I've turned Face Grouping off and back on, waited a few months, and it still doesn't work.  I've looked through many forums and cannot find an answer to this.  Does anyone know how to get Google to recognize faces.  I'd consider downloading all photos to my computer, then re uploading them, but if I do that I will be charged space for all those pictures that were uploaded prior to when Google started counting all pictures against your storage allotment.

When Google does not recognize a face as such, there is nothing you can do. 
When Google detects a face but did not add it to a group, it depends on whether you have "Edit" available in the People part of the info of a photo. Editing is not available everywhere, for example not in European countries.

I've done this over 6 or 7 times I keep getting the same thing it says we have chosen to keep your account suspended do to community guidelines.And I've done NOTHING to deserve this!I wasn't even on my phone at the time I just received a notification saying I was signed out to sign back in and then that happens I've did nothing at all to deserve this I've had this account for over 10 years I have over 2 thousand pictures of my kids that I do not have it's on my Google photos and that's all I have of my kids this is absolutely ridiculous I don't understand how you can do nothing and get suspended and can not contact anyone at all about it

The main lesson to learn is that your photos are not safe at Google Photos. You absolutely need a backup in another place. But that does not help you now. Sorry.

I downloaded all my photos and videos from my Google Photos with my iPad Pro 11 (2nd generation) but it takes too much storage in my iPad. The amount of contents in Google Photos is 93GB but when I download them all, my iPad says that Photo app consist of almost 180GB of storage. The number of photos and video in Google Photos is 10358 and in iPad, 10005 photos and 370 videos, so they're almost the same. I think the slight difference was made when I deleted iPad photos in Google Photos with my iPhone Google Photos. 

My Google Photos is set to keep photos and videos with original size, and the photo upload setting in my iCloud of my iPad is to download and keep originals as well. Most Photos in Google Photo were taken with my Galaxy S series devices with motion photo, and videos too.

How can I fix the problem that it takes too much storage after downloading from Google Photos to my iPad? Or, is it natural that the file size gets doubled up.

I already turned off "back up" so none of my photos should be syncing still, but when I go to delete from Google Photos, the same photo is deleted from my iPhone's camera roll, even though the back up feature is off! The safest way to delete from Google Photos is to delete the Google Photos app and delete the photos at https://photos.google.com/

The camera roll will not be affected and if required Google Photos can be reinstalled after deleting the photos. 
 
Backup should be left switched off otherwise it will re-upload the contents of the camera roll.
