You can extract a still frame from a video through these steps.

• Tap to open the video
• Tap once again to make the controls visible
• Tap the edit icon  at the bottom
• Tap on the middle to make the frame selector visible.
• Mover the frame selector. You will see a preview of the frame above the selector. Once you decide about the right frame, then tap on export. 

That frame will get saved as a still photo in your collection

Once you turn on backup & sync through another account, the app will start uploading everything.

 

The only way to prevent that is through these steps.

• Turn off backup & sync through the first account
• Create a new folder on your phone through some file explorer app
• Move all the pics from the camera folder to this new folder.
• Ensure that the folder remains deselected for backup through both accounts.

Once done, switch to the new account & turn on backup & sync only through the camera folder.

That will stop duplication of pics.

I've tried to look stuff up about how to unhide faces and they all talk about a button when you click the three dots in the corner and I think that used to be an option there to hide/unhide faces but it's just not there anymore. To unhide a person that you hid before, please follow these steps.

• Tap the search icon at the bottom .
• Tap view all to see the thumbnails of all the persons in people & pets.
• Tap the three dots at the top right corner 
• Tap on the menu "Hide & show". Please note this menu works like a toggle. If you tap once, the hidden faces become visible. If you tap a second time, then all hidden persons hide again.
• Now you will see all the hidden persons with a symbol of eye & a slash across that. 
• Tap on the eye once. Please note, the eye icon also acts as a toggle. Tap once, the person will be unhidden. Tap a second tome & then the eye will reappear hiding the person once again.
• Once the eye symbol is gone, the thumbnail of the person will become visible again.

However, to understand the exact reason for the problem, can you provide some more details?

The information is required to determine whether the problem is related to your profile or the device.

• Did you have the unhide option previously? 
• Did you change some settings on your phone? 
• Did you change your region in the play stores settings?
• If you try viewing your pics on a desktop, can you see the option to unhide?
• Can you set up your profile on some other phone & see whether you get the unhide option?
• If you create another profile on your phone of some family member, can that person see the "Unhide" option? 

That will help in getting some clues.
