Playing a slideshow straight from Google Photos probably will be no problem at Chromecasting unless some delay before the video can start. 

But perhaps you talk about ambient viewing of your album started via the Home-app. I have no experience with videos via that option, but I think that Google does not show them automaticallly.

Without more information, such a question hardly can't be answered. 

But basically your daughter (age?) should see none of your photos, unless explicitely shared by you via a general family-album on Google. 

 

However: if them Photos-app of this tablet is logged-in to your account, she may see your fresh photos between the photos she is making herself with the tablet. So you only need to open the app and then open the profile-circle top right and remove your account there. Then close all apps and restart the tablet and check in the Photos-app if your (recent) photos are not shown anymore.

My app uses a bit more then 1 GB on Android-11 and Photos-version 5.53. 

And I have a very large collection at Google, but on my phone almost none. 

So I can't explain your 30 GB, unless in a very old version on old Android never updated anymore. 

But you cna do is the following, assuming that you know the password of your Gmail-account: 

1. Choose "Use without account" under your profile circle right-up. 
2. Close all apps and restart the phone. 
3. Start the app when you have good wifi for some hours, but no other app. 
4. Log-in under the empty profile circle, but don't switch-on backupping yet. 
5. Let the app rebuild its database quietly. 
6. When ready, switch on backup via settings under your profile circle and choose the right settings. 
7. Check in the general setting for apps how much the systemspace the app is using now. 
8. Hopefully all okay.

I would like to know as a privacy issue. I want to know how much they saw or at the very least the main activity they had on my phone. When i go into Data and Personalization and check my Google activity, it has only shown me my activity so far. Could that mean they didn't do any searches in my account like Google photos for example?

You always should use the icognito or inprivate windows in someones browser to log-in - eg for viewing Google Photos and some downloading. 

But your account data only will show that you have logged-in to some Mac(book) and you can delete that computer from the list - that prevents that the owner still can use your account for whatever or even delete some picture they don't like :-)

Hard to say more about then: never do this again, unless in the way told in my first line above :-)
