I have attempted several times now to set up Backup & Sync to backup my Photos.app "Photos Library.photoslibrary" bundle.  Google Photos Backup previously has worked fine for the last couple years, but there is no way to coax Backup & Sync to do it.  Each time I get an error:


When I go in and "Locate" the bundle folder again, it attempts to sync it appears, but after some time this same thing happens. I've tried to report this via "Send feedback" but it seems that no one is replying or giving any kind of feedback that they've even gotten this message.

Now that Google is saying the previous Google Photos Backup program is no longer going ot be supported or even work for that matter, I'm not sure what to do.  Am I to look for other options?  How can I reach the Backup & Sync developers?  Where can I get more verbose messages to help resolve this situation?

Additionally, here is the series of messages I'm going through ad infinitum:

I see that you're facing issues syncing photos to the Google Photos via Backup and Sync tool. Could you please try and check if you see the same issue on different computer or different browser?

Meanwhile, I'd recommend you try restart your computer first. It might sound simple, but sometimes that's all it takes to fix the issue. Incase if you've uploaded through the Backup and Sync tool, I'd suggest you try uninstalling and reinstalling the Backup and Sync tool.

Also, just wanted to let you know that there might be a chance that the photos/videos are still reading while the photos/videos are backing up. Also there might be a chance that the Google Photos may actually doing a re-scan of the photos/videos to check the duplicates.

Unfortunately I cannot try this on another computer due to the size of my Photos library. Further restarting does not help it. Reinstallation also doesn't resolve this. I've been dealing with this for a while now since they finally started supporting other file systems other than HFS+ (for example, this library is on a ZFS volume). Basically the old Google Photos Backup.app is essentially end of life now and so this is my only option aside from just moving away from Google Photos after years of use and around 2 terabytes of backed up images and video.

Note your settings and then switch-off backupping. 
Then check the free space on your phone - maybe far too less for good operation due to some fat movies (if already playing well on photos.google.com they can be deleted in the Google Files app). 
Then restart your phone and try updating again.

That did not help. The issue now is that since I uninstalled the Google Photos app, I am unable to install it again. The installer gets stuck at 96% and the app and after kuch waiting, it goes back to the fresh 'install' button.
P. S. No heavy movies and ample free space on the phone (60gb). Also, I have about 70 GB available on my Google photos

Maybe you are confusing with the normal archive on the Library-page.

If I am getting this right you uploaded the photos to google's photos safe folder and now you went to retrieve them you can't find them.
 
first, you need to be in the same google account and the same device to access the folder.
 
go to google photos library > then utilities and then you will find the locked folder enter the passcode and see if you find any.

3 MB is not abnormal for original quality - it would become abnormal if your originals are 6 MB on average. 
If that is the case you must have used the high quality somewhere (now called storage saver). 
Check your upload (backup) settings on every device. 
That's all what can be said because of too less additional information. 
 
PS: if your camera is 20 MP then they also would be downsized to 16 MP is high quality was used. You can't reverse this easily so come back with better information first.
But if your camera is set to the same ratio as your screen ("full") or 16:9, you also have a lower MP-value and thereby also a lower MB value then a full resolution (4:3).

Then you must have used the high quality setting accidently or there was something special with that file that is got converted into jpg. When you connect the phone via its usb-cable to computer and activate the phone, you will be asked for permission for datatransfer and then you can copy that file from the Camera-folder inside the DCIM-folder. 
But apart from that: high quality still is a very good quality because its pixelresolution is not downsized.

Thank you for your advice! I did not know about the setting that allowed me to access the pictures directly via USB from my PC until you mentioned it. I don't take many pictures and wanted them saved in original quality online. Some are now original quality in the cloud and some are not, so I need to figure out why some are different, but I WAS able to get my original quality photos. I will now transfer them directly to the PC from now on, instead of downloading from the cloud. Thank you so much!

The compression caused by the former high quality setting in backup varies over a broad range and using different camerasettings also causes different results. But because you don't shoot many photos, you can use the original quality setting constantly. Then you always can download straight from your browser.

Which gallery are you talking about? 
And which folders, because albums in Google Photos are no folders on device. 
If you have no Pixel, the only way is using the locked folder in the Google Files app. 

PS: be aware that Google Photos is private if your phone is private. But you may hide sensitive pictures from the mainstream just by archiving them. But folders or albums in the app can't be hided.

I went on my iPad app and it was still there but the pics weren't loading, while I had time I created a link to the group and saved it. 

Now the group disappeared from the iPad too, clicking on the link says group link invalid or deleted. I go to my Android notification history and click the notification, it opens the app but doesn't open the group. 

What happened? I didn't exit the group, I used to get regular notifications about the group as you can see from the 2nd screenshot (which is a year old). It had fire wallpapers so I'm desperate to get in.

  • Installation of app that can access the printer through WIFI.
  • Joining the printer to the common WIFI network.
Once done, tap to open the picture & slide up. Next, scroll the options below the pic horizontally, reach the print option & tap on that.
There, you will find the printed so installed as above as an option. Select that, adjust the paper size etc & the document will reach the printer.
 
However, do you need to print the boarding pass?

To delete the photos stored on the cloud completely, please follow these steps on your Android phone.
  • First, turn off backup & sync.
  • Next, open the photos tab & long-press on the first picture till a tick appears.
  • After that, while still in pressed condition, stroke down your finger to the bottom & park it there.
  • The screen will keep on scrolling selecting multiple pictures.
  • Once you reach the bottom, tap the bin icon.
Since the collection would be large, you may not see an intermediate stop of storing the pics in the Bin.
Nevertheless, through the library option, reach the bin & then empty the entire content in that.
 
That would get rid of your entire data stored in Google Photos.
Once done, please uninstall or disable the app.
