That exactly is the function of Free-up space: what else did you expect then. 
But some reading before applying the first time always is wise. 
There is no way to undo this operation. 
But it is adviced that you use the feedback option in the app (under the 3 small lines) to ask for some improvement: more clear warnings and leaving the last 30 days on phone to have something at hand for stupid applications like Whatsapp who can't connect to Google Photos (you should use Hangouts instead).

Sorry, but free-up space only deletes what already is saved at Google. 
Maybe these abnormal videos do not have correct data and land somewhere in the past in the library. 
Look if they are in "recently added" at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_

PS: backupping long videos goes extremely slow - they take long to upload because of many gb's and they take even longer to get processed at Google. I have no experience with that, but if free-up space was started before their backupping was ready, I can imagine that they get lost because they still were uploading. If so, you should send a feedback via the main menu of the app.

Hello. I need a technical clarification from you. I have two "Android" phones, both connected with the same Google account (mail.serra@gmail.com). One is personal where I make almost 80% of my use, the other one i only use it for personal purposes. I always thought that the devices were connected in terms of content. What i would do in one, after synchronization, would be done in the other. It turns out that:
- In Google photos (google cloud) on my private phone I deleted hundreds of photos. Later, when consulting the google photos on the other phone, photos that had been deleted, were still there. Others not.

Even a few days ago, I deleted photos on my personal phone (google photos), which were still there, in the professional phone.

In other words, some photos were deleted from the two devices, others gave the feeling that they were purposely deleted from only one and kept in the other.

How does this happen? Is it possible or not to delete photos from one device, some being effectively deleted on the other, and others not?

When I move photos into a folder, it's continent on them staying in the main photos area, if deleted from there, they are deleted from the album. Very frustrating bc I like to print several albums at the end of the year but don't like having them all mixed together on the main screen until them. It seems redundant to have copies of photos everywhere.

That's the way Google Photos operates, but Google is not a very good teacher and many never read anything either. 
Your dated stream (library) are your originals which only should be deleted if they are not nice or valuable. 
Albums just are collections with references to that library - so you can delete an album after some weeks of sharing or after the prints have been ordered. 
Thereby you also can remove a picture from an album without removing the original. 
But it are no copies which would take additional storage. 
PS
At the start of a new year, I also start a new album which gradually grows until December 31. But that album only contains carefully selected and edited pics which also maybe valuable to share. 
And you can still can do that also because the year is rather fresh :-)

In addition you can use the Archive command to 'hide' the photos from the main page by selecting and using the 3 dot command Archive. You can later see Archive photos under the 3 bar command where you will be able to select and 'un-archive' them in the future.

You can not move photos off of the main page (unless you "archive" them, but that also removes them from any album views.)
Also, be aware that the default setting of "High quality" for uploading/backing-up photos from your phone or tablet sends a compressed copy of your images. The original-quality images exist only on your phone/tablet.
To properly maintain a archive of your photos requires different software and more work.

Maybe misunderstanding at your side: most of the pictures you see in the Photos-app are the local pictures ("Samsung pictures"). So you should start in the Photos app, select a few, then tap the Sharing icon (lying V) and then select the M at the bottom. 
Then these will be attached to a fresh mailmessage. 
Good luck

PS: be aware that local files can be about 5 MB on avarage, so you may be able to send 2 or 3 only because of restrictions at the receiver. If the receiver also has a Gmail-adress, you can send up to 5. 
If you select more, then you will be proposed to send smaller pictures, but then they become as bad as Whatsapp-images and loose their original dates also. Then it is better to send them as a link and to warn the receiver that individual pictures can be downloaded via the 3 dots or all together in a zip.

No reason to download all again  because you can view them in the Photos app (you can zoom-in to month view with two fingers) and share from there in much better quality then via Whatsapp and alike. 
But for having 200 recent pictures back, you can install the Google One app for free for a while. 
All other methods are too cumbersome.  
Incidentely you may need an older picture and when you open that picture and hit its 3 dots, you will see the download option. 

PS: because all fall in the same pit, please use the feedback option under your profile to blame google for including such dangerous and unclear options without the option to spare 200 recents.

Your question is not directly related to the topic of this forum.

As a legal entity, Google is not involved in determining copyright, but only displays information about any content, because you can find information about the copyright holder in  Google Search.  
This means that you need to search by image, and look at the information yourself
(see other articles below in this section Help center to see more information)

It is worth remembering that any content on the Internet can have a creator (by default, based on its existence) or a copyright holder, and these legal entities have every right to claim the right to content and complain about you (potentially).  
Therefore, for personal use, you can find any picture and store it in Photos, but publishing and sharing with other users is already the distribution of someone else's content, and potentially the risk of getting a complaint from the copyright holder.

Assuming that your lens is not broken or very dirty, it seems that you have very bad wifi. In the general connection setting, you can switch on using some mobile data for better viewing. 
But if you shoot fresh pictures, they should be good - even without having wifi or using mobile data. 
If not, go back to your phoneshop (if possible) or ask a clever friend.

Apart from the general information at google: if they were deleted by you, they should have been in the Recently deleted folder in the Apple Photos app for 30 days at maximum. 
Or are you talking about your Macbook and photos.google.com in Safari?

Google does not change the data in the photo, thus everything you added or changed is lost when you download directly from Google Photos. 
  • The original date of each photo should be in the photo, but no dates changed in Photos
  • "Comments" and "likes" to photos and albums cannot be saved. 
  • "Descriptions" are found in the .json files when you download using Google Takeout: 
     https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout, but Google does not offer anything to add these data to the photos. You must use third-party software. See this link for more info. 
Note that Descriptions and changed date/time are transferred when you add photos from one account to another by "Sharing" followed by "Add to library".

How Photos works: the service stores not a picture, but a file.  Each file has its own "name" - a set of unique symbols.  
Duplicates may appear in Photos for the following reasons:
• it is a glitch or a system bug in your account / browser; 
• this is one photo that has been edited; 
• these are photographs of different sizes; 
• it is original quality and high quality of the same photo (also different size);
• these are separate frames from a series of images;  
• this is a creative from the Assistant, when algorithms create effects on a photo / edit it.  

Check the file name / name, click on the information icon ℹ, and see if there are duplicates matches for yours, or they are different files. 
 If they are different, then select a photo in the best quality and save it, but you can delete it with a lower quality.

I have been using Google Photos for a couple of years withot issue.  Suddenly photos no longer sync.  I use an ipad, ipone and mac.  Photos are not syncing on any device.  I have uninstalled.  Back up and Sync is on all devices.  I changed nothing in my settings.  It seemed to just stop.

No, it's better not to delete from you photo library (Pictures) any photos you have in photo albums.
 
The reason is albums are essentially collections of links to the photos in the library. If you delete a photo from the library, it disappears also from any albums you added it to.
