1. Items deleted from your photos.google.com are stored in trash for 60 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

2. Items deleted manually from photos.google.com/trash can not be recovered.

3. Items deleted from your YouTube Channel can not be recovered.

4. Items deleted from your Gmail are stored in trash for 30 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

5. Items manually deleted from Gmail trash can not be recovered.

6. Items deleted from your Google Drive will be stored in Drive Trash for 30 days and then be Auto-Deleted from Trash and can not be recovered.

The camera folder is included in the backup & sync by default. You will not find that listed in the folders.

Nevertheless, WhatsApp hides the media folder from visibility to other apps, usually.

You deleted a video from Google Photos months ago, but it did not delete that video from the old phone.

That probably means that the video you see in Google Photos on the old phone is the device copy.

I think that there is no risk that Google Photos will delete that video now when you sign in to your account in Google Photos. But as additional precaution you can turn Backup and sync OFF, select the video, tap 3-dots > Upload now.

There are several other options to recover the video from that device, for example in the Gallery you can share it for example with Google Drive, and from there upload to Google Photos.

Then regret, that's an irreversible action.

There is no way to recover the pictures through google photos.

and run a scan for anything to recover.

No, the option "Recover storage" in https://photos.google.com/settings is all or nothing. The only way to make certain albums "High Quality" is to (i) delete the photos uploaded as "Original", and (ii) upload again with the setting "High Quality".

I understand that you do not want to loose the Originals of some photos or albums, but you can also do it the other way:download all "Original" photos/videos to a computer and/or external discs, then convert ALL photos/videos to "High Quality"

You can repeat this procedure for new pictures, thus keep uploading as "Original" and "Recover storage" whenever you want (for additional safety) or need (because storage gets full).

That's a good question. I edited my former reply to include that the same procedure can be repeated in the future. Downloading photos to a computer is a good idea anyway: having them only on a phone and Google Photos is not safe. See Google Photos is NOT a "Backup" of Your Photos.

Just use the Dropbox-app in parallel to Google Photos, because that really syncs to the Dropbox-app on pc without causing dangerous situations like the original Google solution which always has caused much unsolvable problems since 2015.

But then you should move-out the pictures from Dropbox to you own photomanager on desktop in order to create a nice collection which is worthwhile to get backupped on disc for the future.

If you are on modern Windows, you can use the OneDrive-app instead.
