Question: I cannot find a folder named mount
If you type the word "mount" in the searchbox on top of the Search-page in the Google Photos, you may find that album or related pictures.
If not we can't know that either because the word "folder" never is clear. Normally device folders can be found under Pictures on device on the Library-page of the app.
But a folder containing textfiles is not shown in a Photos-app.
Sorry

Will my photos and videos from Goggle photo app also be deleted?
@Paula
Totally unclear why Samsung should do that - maybe you are in error that they announced to stop with Samsung Cloud, but most likely you don't have any copies there.
But we can't look over your shoulder, so we don't know anything about your serious attention for Google Photos and you can check on http://photos.google.com/ in the Chromebrowser in your copies at Google are up-to-date.
If okay then it does not matter if the Samsung Gallery got emptied, if not okay, you need to come back here.
Answer:
Samsung made it where all of their phone devices will no longer have the cloud or gallery for videos and photos because they are now using Google OneDrive. I didn't go that route. I wanted to make sure my content won't be deleted from my Google Photos app. That was my question
Answer:
@Paula
That's a misunderstanding.
Apparently Microsoft OneDrive (cloud) is offered now instead of Samsung Cloud, but if you don't have a Windows computer and a payed Office-365 subcription for your business, that would be not very comfortable and too expensive also.
So just stick to Google Photos and if you don't use its free-up space option nothing will be removed from your Gallery. Again: check on http://photos.google.com/ what you have at Google now.

Otha Collins,
Even though you're asking about pictures, the real issue here is your inability to log in and access your account.
Unfortunately, none of the volunteers in this forum have access to your account, photos, or other personal information.
So, your question would be more likely to receive a useful answer if you posted it in the Google Account Help Community, rather than in the Google Photos help forum.

I have checked on my thrash but I couldn't find it
Hello There,
If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it’s there.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app
.
- And check the Trash
.
- Click Restore
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
You may also try to get a local professional to recover the photos from your phone storage,
but sorry to say Google cannot do anything about it.

My wife and I are sharing an album with all photos of our little girl. We've been doing this for almost a year but since a week we can't see each other's photos anymore. I'm the owner of the album and I didn't change any setting. The only thing changed is that her Google account was added to my Google one space.
Answer:
I don't know the rules for familysharing, but I would suggest to send her a fresh sharing link from the same album. Just open the album, then go to Options under the 3 dots and copy the link and paste that link in a normal mailmessage to her. Then she can open the link and join the album again to be able to add pictures from her camera.
Good luck.
Answer:
Another weird thing is that when I add pictures, she receives a notification on her phone that they were added. When the tabs the notification Google photos opens but my photos are nowhere to be seen. Except those from before this whole issue. And I don't receive any notifications whatsoever.
Answer:
Sorry Holger, this forum is run by private volonteers and hardly anyone will have experience with your new situation. But because you have a payed subcription to Google One now, you can have support straight from Google via chat or mail one.google.com/support
Sorry, but good luck with them and you also can try what I have suggested - just to refresh the sharing connection.

I've created photo bursts on my Android phone, and they were backed up fine to Google Photos. Then I added some pictures, including the bursts, to a new album (using the Google Chrome browser on my desktop PC).
That works fine, except for the photo bursts: There, only the first image gets added to the album. All subsequent images from the burst are ignored.
The burst is still available in the chronological view of Google Photos, but not in my Album.
I see there are similar threads from 2017 with a similar issue in this forum, but those threads are locked for some reason, so I had to start a new thread.

Hello,
Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to the Google Photos Help Forum.
I do understand the inconvenience you're facing for not being able to add burst photos in the album of your Google Photos.
However, I tried replicating the same and the same thing has happened with me. Therefore, this looks like an intended behavior of Google Photos.
That being said, if you would like to see this feature implemented in the future, I recommend leaving feedbackabout it through the following steps:
- Open Google Photos.
- Click on Menu.
- Select Send feedback.
- Click on Send.
The product team reviews the feedback regularly and uses it to better improve the product overtime.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Emma
Answer:

I sense the importance of your burst photos being added to the album of your Google Photos. Therefore, I suggest you leaving feedback about it through the above steps.

Question: I need recover my photos which was deleted permanently
Need to recover photos
Sugantha Devi,
Following is text from the official Google Photos Help page about deleting and restoring photos and videos:
Restore photos & videosIf you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it’s there.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app
.
- At the bottom, tap Library
Trash
.
- Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
- At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
- In your phone’s gallery app
- In your Google Photos library
- In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
Important:
- If you delete a photo or video that’s backed up in Google Photos, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
- If you delete an item from your Android device without it being backed up, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
- If you see a photo or video in Google Photos that you think you deleted, it might be on a removable memory card. To delete it, use your device’s gallery app.
Empty your trashIf you see a request to "Delete permanently" when you try to move an item to trash, your trash is full. Your trash can hold 1.5GB.Important: If you empty your trash, you permanently delete any items in your trash.Don't see the photo or video? If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
- You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
- You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
- You permanently deleted it from your trash.
- You permanently deleted it from your device’s Gallery app, without backing it up first.
When you attempt to manually empty the trash bin in Google Photos, a warning message box appears that explains you are about to permanently delete those pictures and videos. If you choose to proceed anyway, there is nothing that any of the volunteers in this forum can do to help you recover your pictures.
The information on the following Google Photos Help pages will help you become more familiar with finding, deleting, and restoring your pictures:
If you deleted pictures or videos that were not previously backed up to your account through the Google Photos app, then unfortunately there's nothing that Google or any of the volunteers in this Help Community can do to recover them.
Files that existed only on your phone, ones that were never uploaded to the cloud, cannot be recovered or restored by a cloud storage service. Simply put, Google can't help you recover files it never had in the first place.
Regards,
~ Greg

Answer:
Hi Ezra,
Welcome to the Google Photos Product Help Forum!
>>> If I delete them after I share them, do they get deleted for everyone involved in the shared album?
Yes the will be deleted for everybody in that album. If anybody previously used the "Add to library" function on their end, the images will exist in their "Photos" stream but not in the Album.
If you don't want to see the images in your "Photos" stream you can use the Archive function (which really only hides them from your Photos stream). Those images will still show up in search results (possibly when somebody is looking over your shoulder, so to say they are "hidden" is a bit strong).

Hi Jay,
>>>> I've heard that photos can be searched on Google to see where they came from originally but I don't know how to do it
I really don't think this is reliable. It MIGHT show if the photo is or a famous person or is used many times on the internet.. you can give it a shot (using Google Image search or Google Lens directly in Google Photos):
I think you will probably have more success if figuring out if somebody is genuine by looking at the completed contents of their profile and preferably additional social media accounts (are there a reasonable number of images? Do they make sense in terms of dates and contents? etc.)

Once created, the app may take some time to bring all the related pictures to this new grouping.
Otherwise, you can go through the collection & add the photos to the newly created group, manually, through the same steps as described above.

Hi, Mark Tang 6406
Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.
What you are noticing is the local cache of thumbnails of backed up photos.
That becomes useful to scan through the collection quickly.
We can't get rid of that.
Even if we delete that through the settings on the phone, the app will recreate that.

Hi, Tom Seaman 5974
Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.
The Google Photos app acts as a portal viewer & shows the photos & videos from the phone + the ones backed up to the cloud.
Even if you are seeing pics in Google Photos app, that doesn't mean those are backed up.
You can verify that by visiting the link https://photos.google.com.
There, you will not find any recent photo you clicked through your phone.
Nevertheless, if you add some pictures to an album in Google Photos, the app will upload that regardless of the backup & sync is off.

Answer:
I will try to explain :
- When you take a photo with your camera, it is saved to a folder on the device (under DCIM) and the photo will be shown in the Google Photos app, even when it is NOT uploaded to Google Photos cloud.
The Google Photos app on mobile devices also act like a gallery. - When Backup and sync is OFF, the photo will NOT be automatically uploaded to Google Photos cloud.
You can check this by going to https://photos.google.com/ (photos sorted by date taken, newest on top) or https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ (sorted by upload date, newest on top). - When you add a photo to an album in Google Photos cloud (not a folder on your device), it must also upload to https://photos.google.com/. In other words: when Backup & sync id OFF you can still upload manually.

Daniel,
I'm sorry for what you're experiencing. Unfortunately, none of the volunteers in this forum have access to anybody's accounts, photos, emails, or other personal information.
If you are being threatened, you should contact the police. The safety of you and your family should be the #1 priority.
If those threats were sent via Gmail, you can report that user and the message using the Gmail Violation Reporting Form.
While we're on the subject of security, I also recommend the following steps for securing your Google account and data:

Answer:
Hello JusC,
You may have uploaded Original size photos which do count. Only High Quality uploads qualified for free storage.
Storage may be reduced by going to https://photos.google.com/settings and using the Recover storage option.
Head over to https://photos.google.com/quotamanagement This should give a clue on where the storage is being used. Large photos and videos >5MB are listed and can be reviewed by tapping on the thumbnail to open then select the (i)nfo icon to see more detail about files.
If you need to subscribe to Google One you can Create a family group then share the storage between members and it can be used in addition to their own 15GB
Review backup settings on Mobile
- Open Google Photos
.
- At the top right, tap your account profile photo or initial
Photos settings
.
- Tap Back up & sync.
- Check your settings:
- Back up & sync: Make sure "Back up & sync" is turned on.
Review your upload size to the web
- On your computer, open photos.google.com/settings.
- Select High quality or Original quality for future uploads.
Review backup settings for the Backup and Sync computer app
- On your computer, download and install Backup and Sync.
- Sign in to the Google Account that you use for Google Photos.
- Select to back up only photos or videos, or all files.
- Select any folders you want to back up.
- Under “Photo & video upload size,” select your upload size

Peter

I want to back my all deleted photos and videos.
Hi, Anandos Vlog
Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.
Had you backed up the pics to Google Photos?
Can you please verify that by visiting the link https://photos.google.com ?
Enter the link in any browser on your phone & then log into your Google account to view the photos backed up on Cloud.
If you do not find anything, then there are two possibilities.
Either, the items have moved to the bin.
The Bin icon
becomes visible through the library view in the phone app.
Tap on the icon & then restore everything visible there.
Or, your backup was incomplete, so nothing got uploaded to the cloud.
The Google Photos app acts like a portal viewer showing everything from our phone and also the content backed up to the cloud,
Then, that creates a impression of everything getting backed up perfectly.
However, we need to check the status of backup periodically and look for the messages on "Backup and Sync" menu.
Further, we have to ensure every folder on our device is included in the backup & none shows a cloud symbol with slash.
If nothing was backed up to the cloud in the first place, regretfully, there is no way to recover those pics through Google Photos.
