How do I get my video on a CD that is on my phone

Question: How do I get my video on a CD that is on my phone

Want to put my video on CD

@Nancy
That's quite oldmodsih and only can be done if your computer still has a cd-burner.
So you have to download that video from photos.google.com in your browser and in order to see your own pictures, you need to log-in with the Google-account used on your phone.
Can't make it more simple then that.
Good luck

I added a partner sharing account to my Google Photos and I shared all of my photos with that account. The partner account saved all those photos he received. Buy then I discovered that numbers of the photos differ in those two accounts. I checked it going to Google Dashboard. Why that occurred?

Answer:

@Tipu
The dashboard numbers for Google Photos do not refer to Google Photos at all, but to Album Archive and includes the content of albums you may have created over years. But in the shared account these albums are not present - so that number is more correct because albums only contain references to the mainstream.
Can't help that Google is confusing :-)

how to view data by type. examp- latest, old, size etc

You can't.
Google Photos is no advanced desktop photo-software or Windows file-explorer.
If you create albums, you can sort from old to new or the reverse or on last added - that's all.
Even in Google Files the sorting options are very restricted.
You can't have all for nothing.

PS: on the search page of the Google Photos app you have a few options to select different types like screenshots or videos. And you may type some charasteristic letters in the searchbox to find special filetypes. But sorted on dates only.

@Dawn
Don't know what happened exactly, but you probably have agreed with some proposal to clean-up without understanding what was going to happen then.
If this has happened recently, you can go to the Recently deleted folder in the Apple Photos app and then you can recover all. Unless you have emptied this folder also.
Then come back here to report.

I have seen that there is an option to sync favorites from the iOS photo app to google photo app, but I cannot find this option in my account. My phone and app software are both updated to current availability. Any ideas to utilize this feature??

Answer:

Hi Erin,

>>> I have seen that there is an option to sync favorites from the iOS photo app to google photo app, but I cannot find this option in my account

In the Google Photos app on your iPhone, tap the round profile icon in the upper right hand corner..
Then > "Photo settings"
Then > "Back up & sync"
Then, turn on the Back up & sync toggle

Important note:  Read and understand the "Important update about your High quality storage"  or similar on the Back up & sync settings page.  Basically, all photos after June 1, 2021 will count against your Google Storage quota.  If you are paying for storage you are probably fine, if not you want to understand that you probably will at some point.

Best regards,  Dougsap (Volunteer Google Photos user)

Answer:

Yes, I'm doing this and all of my photos are synced but favorites aren't starred. I was hoping to use this feature to more easily and quickly delete the majority of photos to free up more space.

Answer:

Hi Erin,

Sorry, I misread.. did you check the setting mentioned in this article:

  1. Tap Photos Settings .
  2. Tap Apple Photos.
  3. Tap Sync favorites
You might also test creating a new favorite for testing purposes to see if new activity is picked up.

Good luck!  Dougsap

Hi Erin,

Sorry for the delay.. nice day, out in the garden weeding.

>>>  Yes, that's what I've been trying to follow. There is no "Apple photos" under the settings that I can find.
Recommend

Make sure that you are looking at the Google Photos settings inside the Google Photos App (click on the round icon, possibly your photo in the upper right hand corner of the iOS Google Photos app).

I just confirmed that they are still there in my iPhone and iPad.

Good luck,  Dougsap

Do you happen to have an old iPhone?
Is your Google Photos version 5.22.344906647?
Do you have another iOS device that uses the same Google (probably Gmail) account which you could try changing the setting on?

I can't really think why this would matter for this, but...have you changed countries recently or are you using a corporate or Education Google account (versus just a personal Gmail account)?

Sort of grasping at straws..

Now- with that out of the way let's deal with Babita Kadan's post in  Google Photos.
Please note that, due to a variety of reasons, not all files can be recovered - but you can try!

1. Items deleted from your photos.google.com are stored in trash for 60 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

2. Items deleted manually from photos.google.com/trash can not be recovered.

3. Items deleted from your YouTube Channel can not be recovered.

4. Items deleted from your Gmail are stored in trash for 30 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

5. Items manually deleted from Gmail trash can not be recovered.

6. Items deleted from your Google Drive  will be stored in Drive Trash for 30 days and then be Auto-Deleted from Trash and can not be recovered.

1).If you are using a regular personal account
You will have to contact a Google Drive Specialist who *MAY* be able to restore it. Use this link:

2). If you use a work/student account (G Suite), you should contact your Account Admin as they can restore files up to 25 days after deletion.

@Ligit
You can't.
Even if you have if you have a Canon or HP app installed for your wireless printer, you only can print a selected picture on normal size or create a pdf.
But if you still have the Picasa software on your old computer, you can send a file to your computer and then choose Create a poster in Picasa.  However: the resulting quality can be bad.
If your original image has about 4000x3000 pixels a good quality standard print can go to size 40x30 cm.
Hard to say more.

Not clear if you simply want to send a mail with a few pictures attached or much more.
But after selecting in the Google Photos app you can tap the share icon (lying V) and then choose the M at the bottom to start a new mailmessage with these pictures included.
If you have selected too much, you will see a proposal to downsize or to send them as a link.

Question: I want to recover deleted images from Google Photos. Only photos were restored.

Google 포토는 삭제 된 이미지를 복구하고 요청합니다. 사진 만했다.

Hello 영제이,

if the deleted photos are still in the Google Photos Trash you might be able to restore them as explained in these instructions https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6128867?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&oco=1

Otherwise it’s not possible to recover photos permanently deleted from the Trash. However, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps and run a scan for anything to recover.

In addition I recommend that you contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Just open the Google Drive https://support.google.com/drive/?hl=en&authuser=0#topic=14940&contact=1 contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.

Back up downloaded pics and videos to sd card

Hi, Red Moon

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & Thanks for your query.

Yes, you can move the content downloaded on your Android phone to an SD card.

To do so using the Google Photos app, please follow these steps.
  • Tap on the Library view.
  • Tap the desired folder under Photos on the device.
  • Select photos by long pressing then tap others after the tick confirms the first selection. You can also long-press and slide down while still in pressed condition to select a range of pictures.
  • Tap the 3 dot menu top right
  • Tap Move to folder
  • Tap New SD folder, type a folder name then tap Create
Note that if the photos are backed up to Google Photos this will not remove them from the Photos.
Further, even if you do not select this new SD folder for Backup & sync any contents will still be deleted if deleted using the Google Photos app.

Question: How can I transfer the photos from this phone to my Iphone?

,

@Jilli
Assuming that all are neatly stored at Google (did you have checked that at photos.google.com?), you only need to install the Google Photos app on your iPhone from the App Store and then to log-in with your Google-account upright. Then the pictures from your old phone gradually will appear in the app and can be downloaded to device selectively if needed for some social media.
For adding new pictures shooted with the iPhone to Google, you also need to switch-on backup in the main settings of the app, but you also can restrict to iCloud.
Please come back if you have special questions because you are too general.

I have permanently deleted some of photos from google 2 years back. I just happen to find that i had my family photos in those deleted photos list. I need them as it is very important to share it with someone. Can you please help in recovering all those photos which i deleted during April 2015 to April 2017.

Answer:

Hi jai prakash,

Once your photos have been permanently deleted then you won't be able to get them back from Google Photos, first you'll need to check to see if they're still in your bin. You can find out how to do this by following the instructions at this link here.

If you took the photos on an Android device -
There are apps that you can use on Android that may be able to restore deleted files, if you click this link here it'll take you a Play Store search for restoring deleted photos, you'll be able can find the highest rated apps to see if they help.

If you took your photos on a IOS device -
When you delete photos from your iOS photos library, iCloud usually conveniently keeps them in a Recently Deleted album in the iOS photos app. You might be able to restore your deleted photos by following these instructions:
  1. Open the Apple photos app (not Google Photos)
  2. Tap Albums at the bottom
  3. Tap Recently Deleted
  4. Select all the photos you’d like to restore
  5. Tap restore at the top right
I hope you manage to find your photos, good luck.

By permanently deleted do you mean you emptied the "Bin" in the phone app?
If not, you can find the videos in the Bin.

However, if you have emptied the Bin also, then regret, that's an irreversible action.

There is no way to recover the pictures through google photos.

However, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app (be sure to not pick one that requires rooting) https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps
and run a scan for anything to recover.
