Purchased a new Nokia G20 and have set it up from scratch twice.  Tried updating Google Photos.  But it just will not put anything in after October 2021.  I've never had this issue before.  And it keeps just getting stuck saying it is updating my library.  Not bothered about older photos but Any photos I take with the camera just disappear!  I can't see them.

I trying to get my google photos transfer to my gallery photos.

On an Android phone (other than a Pixel), images are stored by default in your Gallery and stay there until removed. If you have synced the phone to Google Photos and then used Free Up Space or Delete from this Device, the images will be only in Google Photos and not the Gallery. If you want to put them back in the Gallery, you need to select them within Google Photos (write back if you need help with this) then download them. After that, you should be able to have your Gallery display the downloaded photos, though the process for this will vary from phone to phone.

Can't see the photo or video? If a deleted photo or video is not in the trash, you cannot restore it. You cannot restore the photo in the following cases:

 

If you moved the photo to the trash more than 60 days ago. If you moved the photo to the trash and emptied your trash. If you permanently deleted the photo from the trash. If you have permanently deleted the photo from your device's Gallery app without backing it up.

Recently Google added storage limits to Google Photos. I always liked Google photos because it allowed me to store all my pictures. For me, Google Photos was my backup for my pictures. However, with the limit of 15 GB I had to start deleting some old pictures.

I've recently deleted some pictures (About a month or 2 months ago), however there is 1 picture from the 25th of August 2015 that I really really really need! (The picture contains a crypto wallet recovery passphrase)

- Because of the 15GB storage limit I also immediately had to permanently delete these pictures from the recycle bin to free up space.

- I already ran complete Android recovery software on my smartphone, however, since this picture is from 2015 & from an older phone of mine, this was never stored on my phone & only on Google Photos. I don't have access to the old phone anymore.

Because of Google changing their policies & putting a limit on their storage I would like whoever reads this to try and recover that 1 image.
