All Photos appeared on google photo prior to loosing phone as back up was turned on, but January 19th-23rd photos were not available on Google photo after the phone was lost or stolen on an airplane, while in airplane mode, on January 24th. I've looked on the two Google accounts we have. I've looked in the trash. We were in range and the photos should have been fully uploaded to Google photo so I'm not sure what happened.  We set the phone to delete data through Samsung but it just sends the message since it's not in range I guess, on airplane mode. Please any advice or help.

We recently decided not to use Google Workplace anymore. We had our own domain connected to the service. When I stopped the subscription I was asked to delete my account - what I did. However, I didn't think that my Google Photos service was connected with that domain! I created an account again, on the same domain, with the same email address, but I am unable to restore all the photos.

Is there a way to synchronize an old account with the new one? I can confirm email and domain ownership easily.

I have multiple albums that show they contain photos.  However, the box is blank (no cover photo) and I cannot get the photos to load.  They are not in deleted or archive.  In addition, these "empty" albums only show on my iPhone and not in my iPad.  I am logged in under the same email in both devices.  I am very concerned, it's hundreds of photos.

First of all: albums do not contain pictures - they contain links to pictures in your mainstream on the Photos-page. So if all pictures are still there (and backupped), nothing is lost. 

Best to convince yourself at Google directly by viewing photos.google.com in the Safari-browser when being logged-in with your Gmail-account. There also is an albumpage (below the star at left) and quite likely everything is okay there like on your iPad. 

Please check and then come back to report and for further instructions. 

PS: it is possible that your Photos-app on iPhone got damaged by some iOS-update. Basically you can remove the app and then restart your phone and install the app from the App Store and log-in. Then wait until the database is rebuild completely before further settings for backupping etc.

Thanks for feedback Jen - that's extremely rare here. 

You always can delete an album, but in this strange case you also will remove the album that is shown correct on your iPad. 

But you did not tell us if you have followed my advice to install a fresh Photos-app on your iPhone, so do that first. Can do no harm.

Sometimes when I send a photo from my adroid to my PC, the photo is so "large" (I think) that it hangs up in my email inbox. -It freezes all my email functions for over 20 minutes - can't open the attachment, can't delete the email, can't turn off email, can't access other emails.

That's very abnormal, but you don't tell us why a single photofile is more then 5 MB unless you have a smartphone with an extreme camera or you are producing raw-files. 

And you don't tell us which e-mail service you are using, because Gmail has no problem with an attachment up to 25 MB. 

So come back and try to be more precise. 

PS: moviefiles never can be sent by mail because it always are large files, unless for very tiny snaps. 

PS: this problem does not have anything to do with Google Photos because when you use that service, you don't need to mail at all: then you can download the needed file straight from photos.google.com in your browser on pc.

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

 

To allow the app to backup over mobile data, follow these steps.

• Tap your profile icon
• Tap photos settings
• Tap Backup & sync
• Scroll down & tap mobile data usage
• Set daily limit as "Unlimited". Choosing this removes a lot of trouble.
• Tap the slider in front of "Back up whole roaming". That ensures uninterrupted backup even while roaming.
• Next, through the settings on your phone, allow the Google Photos app to use internet data in the background.

Once you ensure all these settings, the app will start backing up, uninterrupted.
