I got to my gallery & select a photo. I choose 'set image as' but when I select lock screen wallpaper I get the editing not supported msg. I've never had this issue before so don't know why it's happening now.

I found a work around but this should not be the way to fix. When I choose 'set image as' and select home screen, it lets me check box if I want to to add to my lock screen. Unfortunately, the home & lock screens pic end up being the same. Then I select new pic for home screen, do set image is again but don't check box for lock screen in order to have different pics.

For a long time (since they bought Picasa), I've been using Google as a place to store and occasionally share photos, even though their service has been continuously deteriorating in quality.

As per their new storage policies, I needed to purchase storage space, which I put off for a long time, so I couldn't upload much of anything.

Having finally decided to take the plunge, I discovered their storage service (now Google Drive) has degenerated to the point where it no longer serves my purposes.

According to the receipt they sent me by email:
"Under the law, you have an automatic statutory right of withdrawal from contracts for the purchase of digital services for 14 days after you make the purchase. Use this form to withdraw.

But when I use the form they give me bullshit that they won't refund because it does not meet their policies.

I finally managed to get this resolved (I think).

I had to reach out to someone through support chat, who forwarded me.
Several forwards later, someone allegedly initiated the refund process, explaining (unlike the response to my original request) that I need to cancel my subscription, which she took car of.

In theory, I should see the refund in 3-5 days.

Of course, it would be better if:
1. Google's refund form would have made the need to cancel clear and offered to do this.
2. Google's rejection would have made it clear and offered to do this.
3. The first person who I contacted on support would have been able to do this.
4. The first person who I contacted on support would have known the correct person to forward my request to.

...  Or better yet, Google didn't systematically trash their own services, so I would have been content to keep it.

However, I've already started uploading photos to Flickr and I can see this will be a much better home for them (except all my edits in Picasa are lost.  :-( ).
