A complete reset of the Google Photos app may be required,
  1. delete the Google Photos app, photos in the camera roll will not be affected
  2. power down/power up or restart the device
  3. reinstall Google Photos checking the correct account is used and the backup size is correct
  4. If possible leave the app open and make sure that Background app refresh is enabled in the iOS settings; Google Photos
Unfortunately we don't have access to user payment details as it is all controlled by a dedicated team, so if this fails please see below.
 
If you do not see any helpful suggestions keep clicking Next and you will eventually reach a contact page <see screenshot online> where you have a choice of contacts who should be able to help.

I backed up some 100 photos into an Google photos album. Then I tried to clean these photos from my phone locally. 

While deleting it not only deleted my local phone copies but also deleted these pictures from the album. My phone memory was full so it did not push the photos to trash. It basically wiped the pictures from my account. 

I selected multiple while deleting, my phone did not even give me an option to delete only from phone. I dint foresee this.

Any scope to recover ?

Hi Ekta,

Sorry to hear about your photos.

If you have successfully backed up your photos to Google photos cloud and have accidentally
deleted it then you'll be able to find them on your Google photos trash on the cloud.

If you've not emptied your trash recently or the photos haven't been deleted longer than 60 days.
then your photos should be on your trash.

Are you able to find your photo with this information?

Hello,

Like I mentioned, my photos did not move to the local device trash coz if no space. I got an alert for the same. So does that mean it won't move to the cloud trash too ? 

Backup and sync is not enabled. I do that manually by backing up pictures onto a album. 
I did not find the photos on the cloud trash too..

Hi Ekta,

If your photos were not backed up to the Google photos cloud there was no way it can go to the cloud trash when deleted.

Your photos did not back up to the cloud. Hence it was deleted locally from your device.

You have to use a third-party app to see if you're able to recover your deleted photos on your device if you have plans of getting them back.

Actually, that is the way that the iOS app behaves. I realize that this is different than (most) Android phones. 
 
I have not heard it officially, but I speculate that the reason is that Apple does not allow outside apps to have as much power / access to system resources.  This is similar to why on Android there are many utilities (such as console logs, etc.) which are not available on iOS.
 
So, as you are seeing, it is important to periodically open the Google Photos App on your phone (when connected to Wi-Fi for most people) and give it enough time to see the "Backup complete" message or checkmark.
