Just got a new pixel 6 and now some photos disappear from my shared albums a few seconds after adding them. Doesn't happen with every photo, but it's about half of them and no matter how many times I try to add them, the same thing keeps happening. I've been using Google photos and shared albums for years and never had this problem.

Update: It appears these photos (and videos) are also not backing up, which I assume must be related. They're all photos and videos I've taken on the new pixel 6 in the past few days. Not everything, but about 1/3-1/2 of the photos and videos I've taken.

I remember a similar complaint some time ago. The solution was to first upload the photos (Select photos > 3-dots > Back up now) and then add them to an album. You can add them to the album from the same source, for example a folder seen under "Photos on device" in the Library of the Photos app.

Thanks--this was the root of the problem. Turns out some WhatsApp images were causing problems with photos uploading generally. I ended up disconnecting my account, deleting all the 0 mb WhatsApp images, and reconnecting my account to reload my entire photo library. That finally worked.

To convert a picture to PDF, please tap to open that & slide up.
AT the rightmost edge below the pic, you will find an option to print. Tap on that.
Then, it will show all the available printers. A print to PDF option will be there by default.
Select the right size of the paper, margins etc., & tap print.
That will save the picture as a PDF.

2. Sign in with your Google Account.
3. Place your cursor over a photo or video and click Select . You can also select other items, or open an album or movie. 
4. Click Share .
5. Click To and select people to share with. If you're part of a family on Google with at least 2 other people, select Family group to share with your family members.
6. You can add a title or message, then click Send. To manage these messages, go to the activity log. 
7. Click Send . 

Or, if you have the photos all in one album:

1. Click Share .
2. Click Copy Link
3. Send the link to your friends.

This is a unique link to your album that can only be used by people that you have given the link to.

yeah, read about the album method -- I didn't want to create a special album for the occasion, but worked around it -- turns out they had a gmail account and g+ account, so just had to connect dots, since all my pics were public.

Photos uploaded to Google Photos can be viewed from any device when you sign in to the account used for uploading. When you do not see them, they may not have been uploaded. The Google Photos app is confusing: it also shows photos that are on the device, but not uploaded.

Google Photos completely ignores the folders structure on your device.

A work-around:

1. Select all photos, or a selection, or new photos for an update in the device folder under "Library" in Google Photos
2. Tap + 
3. Tap "Album" for a new album
   or scroll down and tap on an existing album 

When the photos are already uploaded, they should not upload again (but it is always good to verify on a small sample), but will be added to the album.
