However, regretfully, the video player in Google Photos doesn't offer any feature to adjust the speed of the video.
You will have to look for some proprietary video player like VLC.

ioS does not use device folders, and the app does not recognise Apple Photos albums. 
 
It backs up the camera roll 100% with no fine tuning available.

I upload iPhone photos to Google Photos at original quality. When I shoot ProRaw (.DNG extension) the photo uploads as a .DNG file but it is in fact not the original ProRaw file. It is instead a compressed, much smaller, JPEG file (while maintaining the .DNG extension). This is problematic, as it gives the impression my ProRaw file is safely backed up when this is in fact not the case.

Hi David,

I am not a Backup & Sync user on my Computers, but I believe:

You can move the images to a unique folder on your computer (possibly even outside of "Photos" or "Document"), then
Change the Backup & Sync preferences to not include the location of the images you don't what uploaded.

You can sync some or all your files and folders on your computer to Google Drive.
  1. On your computer, click Backup and Sync .
  2. Click More   Preferences.
  3. At the right, click the folders you want to sync.
  4. To add a folder not on the list, click Choose folder.
  5. Add the folder you want to sync.

I want to change the thumbnail for location tab, because the photos is showing there is someone whom I lost recently. I don't want to delete the photos because of memory, but whenever I am going to search some photos for specific location, this photo pop up and I didn't feel good...

All of this photos, date history, all the memories are kept in my Google photos. I wish I can change the thumbnail but I don't want to remove or move all this photos.

Also previously I share some album with someone but I recently remove the share option for them but whenever I click in share option, I think say this album pop up in there I want to hide this album.

If I understand it well, you want to change the photo used as feature photo for a given place in https://photos.google.com/places ? Correct ? 
The only way I know of is:
  1. Find the photo in the group in Places (can be difficult when there are many)
  2. Delete that photo. Another photo will automatically be chosen as representative
  3. Go to the trash bin and restore that photo (it's on top)
    I tested this and the photo was also added to the album where it was added to. 
For safety I would also save it elsewhere (a good idea for ALL photos anyway)

The safest way to delete from Google Photos is to delete the Google Photos app and delete the photos at https://photos.google.com/  or in bulk at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ where they are sorted by upload date. Check the trash and if 100% sure empty it (cannot be undone)

The camera roll photos will not be affected.
 
If you need to reinstall the app do not enable Back up & sync,
The photos will be backed up again if Backup & sync is re-enabled.
