2). If you use a work/student account (G Suite), you should contact your Account Admin as they can restore files up to 25 days after deletion.

Answer:

Hi Uživatel,

I’m sorry, it’s not possible to recover videos or photos permanently deleted from the Google Photos Trash. However, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps and run a scan for anything to recover.

In addition I recommend that you contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Just open the Google Drive https://support.google.com/drive/?hl=en&authuser=0#topic=14940&contact=1 contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.

Question: Recovery permanently deleted photos

I want recovery permanently deleted photos from google photos

Deleted Photos are stored in Trash for up to 60 days, if you delete Photos again from trash, that's two times deletion.

Unfortunately, once Photos are deleted from trash there is no way to retrieve them back :(

Wanna add subtitles to a video

Hi, Fathima Fidha 4186

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your query.

However, regretfully, the video player in Google Photos doesn't support subtitles.
You will have to look for some proprietary video player to do so.

I'm trying to transfer my apps to my sd card and I don't know how?

Forget about, but you can set your camera that it will store it bulky files straight on sd in stead of local memory. And you can move your local photos & movies to sd.
But others can explain the details better.

When i create a new album in Google photos, I don't want to see them anymore on my Google photos tab.  I'm trying to organize them and each time I create a new folder I have to scroll back through hundreds and hundreds photos to try and figure out where I left off.  Also, if I have various photos that I want to put in different albums, it's almost impossible to keep sorting through all the same pics to know which ones I already saved in folders.  This is not a good design, unless I'm missing something?

Answer:

HI,

Thanks for posting in the Photos Community.

Might I recommend you use the Send Feedback feature to get this feedback straight to the Photos team within Google?  This way the request can be tracked and potentially be updated in a future release.

Thanks,

Clinton

Answer:

Angela, what I think you're missing is the fact that Albums do not work like folders. They do not "store" the photos like folders do. The way Google Photos works is that ALL your photos are in one stream by date in the "Photos" tab. The purpose of albums is to designate your best photos in specified groups. It's like a Play List for music.
The only way to get photos out of the "Photos" stream is to Archive them. I suppose you could add pictures to albums and then archive those same photos to get them out of the stream, but that's really not how it is intended.
If you want to know more, you might enjoy this YouTube show about albums: https://youtu.be/hmGnTIk8Zos
If what you really want is folders, you might be better off with Dropbox or OneDrive as opposed to Google Photos.

Question: Humble request to restore my videos which i have accidentally deleted

Sir its a humble request to restore my videos on Google photos it's really important for me

Hello Rio Soutik ,

If you have uploaded photos on google photos and deleted it please take a look at the below info.

Following is text from the official Google Photos Help page about deleting and restoring photos and videos:

Restore photos & videos
If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it’s there.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Library  Trash .
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone’s gallery app
    • In your Google Photos library
    • In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
    Important:
    • If you delete a photo or video that’s backed up in Google Photos, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
    • If you delete an item from your Android device without it being backed up, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
    • If you see a photo or video in Google Photos that you think you deleted, it might be on a removable memory card. To delete it, use your device’s gallery app.
    Empty your trash
If you see a request to "Delete permanently" when you try to move an item to trash, your trash is full. Your trash can hold 1.5GB.

Important: If you empty your trash, you permanently delete any items in your trash.

Don't see the photo or video?
If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
    • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
    • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
    • You permanently deleted it from your trash.
    • You permanently deleted it from your device’s Gallery app, without backing it up first.
When you attempt to manually empty the trash bin in Google Photos, a warning message box appears that explains you are about to permanently delete those pictures and videos. If you choose to proceed anyway, there is nothing that any of the volunteers in this forum can do to help you recover your pictures.

The information on the following Google Photos Help pages will help you become more familiar with finding, deleting, and restoring your pictures:

If you deleted pictures or videos that were not previously backed up to your account through the Google Photos app, then unfortunately there's nothing that Google or any of the volunteers in this Help Community can do to recover them.

Files that existed only on your phone, ones that were never uploaded to the cloud, cannot be recovered or restored by a cloud storage service. Simply put, Google can't help you recover files it never had in the first place.

    Thanks.

Earlier today I decided to organize my photos. After I completed Backup & Sync, the side menu shows me Free Up Space that I can delete the photos in my device because it has been backup to the cloud. I confirmed that it backed up because it took some of my Google storage space.

After I completed the Free Up Space, I realised that all my albums under Albums (Web) or Library (Android) were missing. My first thought was did I mess up anything and lost my photos in both the App and my phone.

After a few hours of panic, I realised that those photos are still visible, yet scattered around under the Photos Tab, just that all the albums (10+ albums with few thousands of photos) that I organized earlier were missing under the Albums/Library tab.

Is this a glitch/problem or something that I should have expected? Is there a way to find my albums back? Or do I have to organized the photos into album all over again? If its normal then I hope to suggest to Google to allow our backups comes in albums. Any suggestion to resolve this issue is much appreciated.

In the meantime, I came across the following articles, hope it helps others with the same issue:

Backup and sync has finished working and thousands of photos have been backed up from my laptop to Google Photos.

HOWEVER! some haven't. Scrolling down GP's timeline, some photos are missing here and there.

Obviously it would be far too big a task to work out which ones are missing, so is there any way I can get Backup and Sync to compare my computer's photo files with GP and backup just the missing photos, please?

    Hello Roger,

Please see Share your photos with a partner (Save your partner's photos) where it tells you that any photos you save from partner sharing won’t take up storage, unless your partner stops sharing their photos with you, or deletes the original copy. However there is currently a bug which prevents the storage being used in your account if the source account is disconnected. This may change any time in the future so if you suddenly see your storage jump it could mean they have fixed it.

Hi, I've noticed that bug too. Besides I don't know if you could help me with another issue.

I'm sharing the whole  family pictures collection from my account with my wife. She has the option to save all the pictures to her account active. She can see now all the pictures together with her own but it seems Google is not using them on memories which is disappointing as she would like to have them there too.

Is there a way to force Google photos to use shared pictures on memories?.

    Thanks
