SD card access is not listed in photo settings within the app. I am unable to allow access to my SD card. 

This is a huge glitch as I was wasting hours deleting thousands of photos in the Google app. Only for them to reappear as they are still on the SD card of which I am unable to grant access to to allow deletion of photos in the SD card via Google photos app.

I am paying for 100GB plan via Google One just for the purposes of expanding my storage in Google Photos and I'm unable to perform basic functions like deleting photos in the app due to a glitch with the SD card access not showing in the photo settings menu.

This has been highlighted numerous times in Google community help forums and still has not been fixed despite thousands of upvotes on previous queries. 

There was a pop up which when I clicked yes on to grant permission for SD card access, took me to a blank screen. After waiting 10 minutes I clicked off it thinking it had frozen. Now the SD card access doesn't show in the photo settings menu and the same thing has happened to thousands of other users.

The SD card access should sit permanently in the settings menu with an option to toggle on and off. It should not just disappear simply because you clicked off the pop up window because it froze?

Please can this be fixed? Many thanks.

I spoke to Robyn via the contact us setting in the Google website and even she couldn't help me bless her as it's ultimately a problem with the app that needs to be fixed. 

SD Card access should be listed under location. However as per my screenshot above, you can see that it is not.
