It sounds like you might have logged out of one account and then into your new one.

If you have lost access to your old account, I'd recommend that you try Google's Account Recovery service.

Once you've gained access again, you should be able to view all your photos. 

 

Also, if you are using Chrome and would like access to both accounts, you can add another user to Chrome.

The steps to take a screenshot vary between phone models & android versions.

 

However, if you have activated OK Google or Hey Google detection on your phone, the easiest way would be to say, "Hey Google take a screenshot". Then the Google assistant will do the work for you. However, once the screenshot is ready, upload that through Google Photos.

 

Nevertheless, the following are the standard methods to take a screenshot.

• Long press the power button & tap on the menu option "Screenshot".
• Press the volume down & power button simultaneously.
• Press the volume down & home button simultaneously.
• Press the power button & home button simultaneously.
• Pull down the notification panel & look for the screenshot option.

Some time ago I turned on backup and sync on my default account to free up space in my phone gallery, then found out Google storage isn't enough and it also doesn't allow me to create and edit docs with storage being completely filled. Also, I couldn't delete anything from there without getting it deleted from my gallery even with backup off. SO I switched the backup and sync tumbler off on this account and turned it on on the another one with more storage available to save the files there instead of my main acc. Spoiler: it never helped. Now I can't clear my main account storage bc everything I delete from there still disappears from my gallery AND it's the same for the second one 👍🏻 

So what I have now is two filled with ±same files Google Photo accounts, almost completely full phone gallery and no way to clear any account's storage without sacrificing the original files from the gallery. What I wanna have is clear main account storage, backups on the other account and ✨freedom✨ to delete a copy from anywhere I choose w/o risking to lose the file forever.. I've read that it's not an issue for Android 11+ users, mine is 10, can't believe it's hopeless for me :(

I'm using the google drive desktop app on my macbook pro (mac os Monterey version 12.1). I have backed up my photos to google photos before with the desktop app but not on this new system which i know came out recently.

I'm can't tell if my photos are uploading. The icon at the top was moving (to indicate items we're being uploaded) and at first it was showing items downloading and now it looks like the photo below. It's stagnant, it doesn't say syncing item and new items aren't popping up to sync. but when i open settings there's an option that says "Pause syncing". Is it still syncing?

I've done the basics. Paused and unpaused it. Quit the program and restarted. I've quit the program and restarted the computer. The same result above happens. Do i need to delete the google drive desktop and reinstall? Since I uploaded my photos on a different version of the program would it be better to start from scratch? I've noticed that some of the photos that have been importing are importing with incorrect timestamps.

Welcome to Google Photos Community.

 

When you press Free up face then the photos which are uploaded to google photos are deleted from the device as freeing up the space. You can visit those from google photos. But now again if you want to download those photos offline you can go to google photos and locate the desired photos or video and swipe up and click on download.

I do not know of a way to find all photos that come from a shared album. There are two things that may help though;

• Go to https://photos.google.com/, click in the search bar > Show more > Recently added. 
  That brings you to https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ where the photos are sorted by upload date (the date you added them to your library). 
• You can search with the camera name as shown in the info panel.

I go to Google Photos on my Android device, select a photo and click to delete it. The following message comes up: "remove from google account & synced devices?" The thing is, I want to delete a specific photo from Google Photos but not from my device. Once I delete it on Google Photos it automatically deletes from my device as well. There's no option to choose something like "delete from Google Photos only". I don't want it to be deleted from my device when I exclude it from Google Photos / Drive.

Other threads here give as a possible solution to unsync it. Unsync it  is not an option because I do want my camera photos do go to Gdrive, but I also want to be able to delete some of them only from Google Photos.

Does anyone know if there's an option do configure Google Photos not to delete from my device when I want to delete it from Google Photos only?
