If you mean with "massage" that you have tried the free-up space option in the Google Photos app, then that function may not work due to less working space on your phone.

I can suggest no other option then installing the simple Google Files, because that can delete selected videofiles without moving them into a trashbin and without removing them from Google.

On photos.google.com in the Chrome-app you can see which files are backupped at Google.

I can add no more, because you are not clear about your situation.

Maybe your problem is solved automatically, but your wordings are so unclear and chaotic that it is impossible for me to understand what did go wrong.

But there are more complaints that downloading one video (which can be 2 GB file easily) did not work or never ended and I never have seen a good explanation for that problem.

However: videos uploaded to Google may need hours to get processed before they can be played well and if you start downloading to your phone too fast after uploading, you may get into such download-troubles.

I only can advice then to close all apps and restart the phone and try again the next day.

The problem is that the tracking information, to me as a developer, suggests that there is something wrong, perhaps the shipping label is distorted or faded in some way and so automation may be having trouble reading and it and thus sorting it correctly.

I've contacted FedEx, they say the shipper would have to be the one to open an inquiry or start a case or whatever terminology FedEx uses.

I've attached a screenshot of the most recent tracking information updates above, and I would note that until today, there was never an entry for Perrysburg, OH at 2:50AM, and that the entry for 4:03AM at the same location originally said "Departed FedEx Location\

Here in the Photos group we are all volunteers without access to anybody else's data or accounts.. I am not sure if there are people with special capabilities in the Account Help group but they are the experts on your situation.

It is always a good idea to store important images in more than one place / tool. My photos are in Google Photos, on my laptop, and on multiple external disk drives (not connected to any computer or network).

Google Photos never uploads the same picture multiple times.

What we see as duplicates have some differences in file format or metadata.

Additionally, if you have activated Raw + JPEG capture or bracketing in your phone app, that would create duplicates.

Regrettably, Google Photos doesn't provide any means to remove the apparent duplicates. You have to search those manually.

However, you can compose a movie using that video & then add the song to the movie.

To change the music in the automatic creations, please follow these steps.

Tap to open the movie.
Tap once again to make the controls visible.
Tap the edits symbol below the movie
That will show the next page & there you will find the music symbol ♪. Tap on that.
The pop-up screen will show the following options "My music" "Theme Music" or "No music".
My music allows replacing the current music with your recording in MP3 format.
Theme music shows the entire collection available through Google under various headings. Select any that you like. Once selected, tap on the tick mark at the top right corner.
Save the edited movie.

I only downloaded the google app to see photos shared with me, and to share selected photos with others but it has taken everything and I cant switch it off. Do I just delete the app?? ~iCloud Photo Library~ and Google Photos have different approaches to data management and should not be used simultaneously. When you use the trash can (or even "Free up space" or "Delete device copy") in Google Photos ~iCloud Photos~ is deleting the image also.

In theory, turning off Back up & sync SHOULD stop the uploading, but I have seen reports of people saying that it did not... Is it possible that you have more than one device with Back up & sync enabled (e.g., an iPad or computer?)?

BE VERY CAREFUL if you have any images on your phone that you care about (Who doesn't?).. I suggest:

1. You back up all the images on your phone to an external device (in addition to iCloud Photos), just in case there is an unanticipated issue. You can do this easily with a Lightning cable and a computer.

2. Uninstall the Google Photos app. You can reinstall it later if you want.

After you have done this.

3. If desired, delete the images in (using a computer is easier or Safari or Chrome on your iOS device).. Just delete a few unimportant images first and confirm that they are not being deleted in iCloud Photos:

3.a. You after you are sure things are not being deleted in your iCloud (or phone), you might focus on deleting videos first, since they are larger and ~higher payback~ in reducing space.

Note: some people might say that I am included some unneeded step(s), but I am trying to be extra safe in avoiding data loss.

Again, be careful, go slowly until you are comfortable things are only getting deleted in Google Photos.
