I brought a new moto G30 and previously had the Moto G5SPlus. I transferred all files across to new phone. Every thing works fine expect videos in google photos. The thumbnail is there and when I press the play all I get is sound and the picture is frozen on the first frame. 
I have tried removing google photos account and reloading but still same issue.
Any videos from what's app and taken on my phone work phone also any videos backed up from my original moto G4 phone work as well.  The issue is moto G5Splus videos for past 3 years don't work. 
Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The video plays as expected in Google photos but once you export it outside of the photos app the exported version includes no edits or music is instead the pre edited clips. So I can view the 3 minute video in photos with music but when I export the video is 1m46s and without music. I tried exporting to YouTube, dropbox, drive, and downloading to my device. I also tried clearing cache and data as well as deleting and reinstalling the app and no luck. How can I export the video as I view it in the app? Thanks!

To assist you better, could you please create a new video and try downloading it from the Google Photos? Also, try exporting from the web version of Google Photos.

Meanwhile, I'd suggest you try the below listed steps to narrow down the possibilities:

1. Sign out from your Google account and sign in back.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Photos updates. (Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Photos app > Uninstall Updates > OK). As long as you have a strong Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data), your Play Store app will update to the latest version within a few minutes.
3. Try clearing your app data which is the same as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. After you clear your data, sign in and turn "back up & sync" on again.Open your device's Settings app (not the Google Settings app).
a. Tap Apps.
b. Select Photos in the list.
c. Tap Clear data.
4. Restart your device.

However, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup. 
There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.
 
Nevertheless, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app (be sure to not pick one that requires rooting) https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps;
and run a scan for anything to recover.

This is becoming a modern standard problem - maybe due to the ugly fat 4K videofiles from modern phones. If closing all apps and then restarting and trying again does not help, the system has no capacity enough to support the large free-up space operation and sofar we did not hear a solution from Google. 

Best to check if backup is complete under your profile and then install the tiny Google Files app, because then you can select all files in a folder (start with selecting one and then look under the 3 dots) for deleting and then they don't go in some trash. Therefafter you can try if free-up space can do the rest.

PS: don't complain that you may need to download some old pictures incidently.

Normally that deleted photo would have been backupped at Google and then fills the hole you have created. But if that does not happen, the deleted picture was not backupped or you were not logged-in or whatever. Then I only can hope that it was an inferior photo. 
But deleted pictures are still present in the trash of the Google Photos app on its Library page and can be recovered from there or in the Recently deleted folder in the Apple Photos app. 

Wise to check your settings and photos.google.com in Safari for your Google-account. Maybe very imcomplete since long and then have no backup if iCloud is switched off. 
Come back here if needed.

Thank you. I was checking the settings on my phone, but when I went into Google Photos, on my profile pic (top right) I noticed there was the sync cloud greyed out with a line through it. This has been turned off somehow.

To assist you better, could you please elaborate the post with little more details and help me understand what is the exact issue so that I'll be able to address the issue with the best possible solution?

Incase, if you're referring to recover your photos deleted permanently from trash, unfortunately, there isn't any way to recover them.
 
However, still try checking the missing photos on Google Photos library. Incase, if you might have moved the photos to trash, it will not automatically removed from:
  • Blogger
  • YouTube
  • Gmail
  • Google+
If you don't find the photos, I'd recommend you look for your photos here, signing in with all your Google accounts if you have more than one:
    I'd also recommend you contact the Google Drive support team as they can restore photos up to 21 days after deletion if the photos are available in the Google Drive. You can click the "Missing or deleted files" entry of the contact form and request a phone call or any other option that works for you.

    Check out these handy Help Center articles for more information on how to "See if you can restore deleted photos& videos" and "Find missing photos & videos".

    Hi I've noticed that when I restore photos back to onto my pixel 4a after a while they get removed from the device again without me doing it. I don't actually press delete from device. 

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled Google photos to see if that makes a difference I'm yet to find out! Everything within my internal storage seems in order apart from the restored folder where the photos go missing as they have been deleted from my device. 

    I can still find the pictures backed up onto Google photos. 

    Can anyone shed any light please. It's not even every photo that it happens to it's quiet sporadic. 

    I also have the smart storage option off so nothing gets removed after a set amount of time.

    • When Google does not detect a face there is nothing you can do.
