Hi kindly can I limit how much Google photos take space out of the 15Gb? Let's say allow only 5Gb for Google photos?

If sync is on and new photos are taken Google Photos can upload up to 15Gb which will cripple gmail and Google drive which are essential services compared to photos back up.
Either there is a workaround for this or one would quit Google photos! Hub max might become dull without photos and from there a whole story of separation from Google products begin!

Ps. Even if storage size was higher then 15Gb that does not solve my problem!

Short answer is no, you cannot put a limit like that. I will say, I pay $2 a month for 100GB and with the smallest backup (storage saver I think) it would take years for me to run out of storage. YRMV of course.

Thank you guys the thing is I can back up and sync to another cloud that do not share Gmail essential storage.
Off course I know I can archive and or backup at lower quality (but that honestly lose the purpose of backing up a photo.
I know manual back up instead of auto sync would be more favorable and I know purchasing storage is 1 of the solution but also using other storages I already have is also a solution.
I'm just pointing that this can solved by setting a limit for cloud folders, which shouldn't be hard to achieve and would be useful in this use case or others

They is no need for conversion: if you can download the file from your mail, you can view the photo in the Downloads folder on the Library-page of the Google Photos app and you can backup it in your Google Photos stream.
