Trump on Saturday posted a tweet with photos of the decorations being hung at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

One image shows a volunteer attaching Christmas lights to trimming that is placed over a doorway

The First Lady on Saturday tweeted: 'Thank you to all the volunteers from across our great nation who are working hard to decorate the White House

'Can't wait to view it all tomorrow night!'She added the hashtag #ChristmasAtTheWhiteHouse

Last Monday, as strains of 'O Christmas Tree' wafted through the cool air, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump accepted the official White House Christmas tree that will go on display in the Blue Room and anchor the holiday season at the executive mansion

Share this article Share The 19½-foot tall Fraser fir was cut from a farm owned by Larry Smith of Newland, North Carolina, and delivered to the front door of the White House on a green wagon hitched to a pair of horses

A sign on the wagon said 'White House Christmas Tree 2018.'Holding each other's hand, the Trumps spent about a minute walking around the wagon and inspecting the tree, with the president nodding in apparent approval at one point and patting the rear end of one of the horses at another point

The fir went up in the Blue Room, where every year it becomes the centerpiece of Christmas at the White House

A massive chandelier that hangs in the oval-shaped room is removed to accommodate the tree, which is trimmed slightly and anchored to the ceiling for stability

The tree's arrival ushers in a month of holiday festivities at the White House and its environs

On Tuesday, Trump participated in another seasonal rite: pardoning the National Thanksgiving Turkey

A pair of birds named Peas and Carrots were the candidates for this year's act of presidential mercy

Trump is also expected to help light the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse later this month

After the pardons, the first family headed to Florida to keep their tradition of spending Thanksgiving at Trump's estate in Palm Beach

While the family is away, the White House army of volunteer decorators, florists and others from across the country has been working throughout the holiday weekend to transform the 132-room mansion for Christmas

White House kitchens will go into overdrive preparing the food and desserts that will be gobbled up at dozens of parties and receptions the Trumps will host in December before they head back to Florida to celebrate Christmas and ring in the New Year

Christmas planning at the White House is a monthslong process. In July, Mrs. Trump tweeted a photo of herself and a designer in the White House Map Room as they looked over holiday concepts

'Planning is underway for this year's #Christmas at the @WhiteHouse!' she wrote.'There is still a lot of work to be done, but I hope everyone will enjoy our final holiday vision for the People's House

BREAKING DONALD TRUMP DROPS BOMBSHELL ON ROBERT MUELLER, THIS IS TERRIFYING - Duration: 13:41.

BREAKING DONALD TRUMP DROPS BOMBSHELL ON ROBERT MUELLER, THIS IS TERRIFYING

Americans have been waiting on pins and needles to see if special counsel Robert Mueller's

witch hunt against President Trump will turn up any evidence.

Mueller was finally forced to show his hand in court.

And Mueller's evidence left Americans speechless.

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is facing criminal charges related to financial

crimes from before he began working for Donald Trump.

Some of the allegations are over a decade old.

Manafort's lawyers have been fighting Mueller's prosecution arguing that there should be no

mentions of his work for Trump or evidence of Russian collusion presented at trial.

The Mueller team agreed not to present any evidence of Russian collusion at trial with

a stunning admission that their investigation turned up no evidence that Manafort – whom

the Steele dossier and the media identified as a prime suspect – colluded with the Russians.

In the same court filing, Mueller was forced to detain how the prosecution of Manafort

on financial crimes related to his foreign lobbying connected to Donald Trump.

Needless to say, it was a very thin reed.

Mueller wrote in his court filing:

"The government intends to present evidence that although various Lender D employees identified

serious issues with the defendant's loan application, the senior executive at Lender

D interceded in the process and approved the loan.

During the loan application process, the senior executive expressed interest in working on

the Trump campaign, told the defendant about his interest, and eventually secured a position

advising the Trump campaign.

The senior executive later expressed an interest in serving in the administration of President

Trump, but did not secure such a position."

Back in February, Mueller filed new charges against Manafort and his Deputy Rick Gates.

They were related to a $16 million loan Manafort obtained from the Federal Savings Bank of

Chicago, which was run by Stephen M. Calk, who was an economic advisor to the Trump campaign.

Beginning in July 2016, Manafort and Gates allegedly falsified their financial statements

in order to make it easier for them to obtain loans.

This is the tenuous connection to the Trump campaign that Mueller used to justify bringing

charges against Manafort that could land him in jail for the rest of his life.

Mueller brought these charges against Manafort in the hope that they would pressure Trump's

former campaign chairman to flip on the President so Mueller could present grounds for impeachment

to Congress.

The special counsel didn't care if Manafort spilled the beans on collusion with Russia

or some other unrelated financial crime.

Mueller just needed anything he could include in a report to recommend Congress remove the

President.

The judge in the case – T.S. Ellis – said as much in a ruling where he stated even a

blind person could see Trump was the real target.

Mueller's filing proves how abusive this prosecution is.

His mandate was to investigate Russian election interference and any additional crimes that

may arise from that probe.

But he has no evidence of collusion against Manafort and the charges he is bringing are

largely unrelated to the 2016 campaign.

Critics contend this investigation is out of control and needs to end immediately.

BREAKING TRUMP MAKES HIS MOVE AGAINST ROBERT MUELLER - Duration: 13:37.

aBREAKING: TRUMP MAKES HIS MOVE AGAINST ROBERT MUELLER

Robert Mueller turned Donald Trump's life upside down.

The special counsel is working to frame the President.

And he just got one step closer to his goal with this guilty plea.

Robert Mueller Scores A Victory Robert Mueller won an important victory.

He forced former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to plead guilty to two felony counts.

Mueller won a conviction on eight counts of financial crimes in a trial in Virginia earlier

this month.

Manafort was to face a second trial in Washington, D.C. related to his lobbying work in Ukraine.

However, he cut a deal instead since he was likely to lose again.

Journalists declared Manafort's guilty plea a major development.

That's because Manafort agreed to cooperate with Mueller as part of his deal.

Anti-Trump journalists believe Manafort held the smoking gun.

They think because he worked with pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine that he is the key

to any collusion.

In addition, these fake news reporters bought into the Christopher Steele dossier.

Steele claimed in the dossier that Manafort plotted with the Russians to rig the election.

Manafort had attended the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with the Russians who were promising

dirt on Hillary.

The meeting turned out to be a waste of time.

The Russians did not turn over any "dirt" on Hillary.

They wanted to lobby the Trump campaign on lifting sanctions against Russian adoption.

But anti-Trump journalists hoped Manafort would provide evidence that Donald Trump,

Jr. told his father about the meeting.

That would allow Mueller to indict Manafort for lying to Congress.

Mueller's Win Falls Apart While the media bragged that Mueller scored

a major victory, they also covered up one truth.

Mueller did not charge Manafort with collusion.

Manafort pleaded guilty to crimes that took place years before he worked for Trump.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders pointed out Manafort's guilty plea had nothing to do

with Trump's victory.

"This had absolutely nothing to do with the president or his victorious 2016 presidential

campaign," she said.

"It is totally unrelated."

Additionally, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani noted one point about the deal.

Manafort's lawyers said it had nothing to do with Trump.

They said Manafort had no evidence of collusion.

Giuliani wrote:

ACCORDING TO SOURCES CLOSE TO MANAFORT DEFENSE: "THE COOPERATION AGREE DOES NOT INVOLVE

THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN….THERE WAS NO COLLUSION WITH RUSSIA."

ANOTHER ROAD TRAVELLED BY MUELLER.

SAME CONCLUSION: NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION PRESIDENT DID NOTHING WRONG.

Manafort Threatens A Clinton Ally Manafort's deal is trouble for Tony Podesta.

Podesta is the brother of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

He worked with Manafort on lobbying in Ukraine.

Prosecutors say Podesta broke the law.

They claim he did not register as a foreign agent.

Manafort pleaded guilty to this law as well.

Many experts believe Manafort did not flip on Trump.

They believe his real value is helping Mueller build a case against Podesta.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments

in this story.
