we come in with this fox news alert new reaction from the president after a
federal jury found his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort guilty on eight
counts of the 18 on bank fraud and tax fraud with a mistrial declared on those
other 10 mana fork could face a maximum of 80 years in prison
his sentencing is scheduled for a week from today
president Trump reiterated mana Ford and the case brought by robert muller have
nothing to do with mana Ford's work for the campaign watch it matter Ford's a
good man he was with Ronald Reagan he was with a lot of different people over
the years and I feel very sad about that
it doesn't involve me but I still feel when you know it's a very sad thing that
happens nothing to do with Russians illusion
this started as Russian collusion this has absolutely nothing to do is a
witch-hunt and it's a disgrace meanwhile yesterday is the president headed to
political rally in West Virginia top Senate Democrat Democrat Chuck Schumer
warned the president against any pardons of man afford or his former attorney
Michael Cohen I understand the president's on his way to a rally he
better not talk about pardons for Michael Cohen or poor Amana for tonight
or anytime in the future he better not that sounded like he could do something
about that Andy you know in all of this with Paul Manafort even the judge in the
case TS Ellis said we aren't going to discuss Russian collusion it is not part
of this case why hammer that point now if you're the
president and legal team what what is what are they trying to accomplish that
the judge already didn't accomplish for them i I really don't know I think it's
a mistake to keep hammering this because I I really think if you if you look
objectively at what's happened here I really don't think Muller is trying to
make a collusion case against the president
I think Muller is pursuing his original objective which is Russia's interference
in the election of which the collusion thing was one strand and my view of it
is he's interested in metaphor because of man afford not because of Trump and
collusion and the reason I say that is he's had gates as a cooperator for six
months there's nothing that man afford knows about Trump and Russia that Gates
doesn't know and yet what has happened since Gates been a cooperator he's
brought two indictments against groups of Russians that don't even hint that
there was any collusion in fact you reading the indictments suggest exactly
the opposite that the Russians were doing their own thing right yeah some
Americans in the last but but including a congressional candidate Murray it's
not the way you would tee it up if you thought that you were like on the verge
of breaking a big case of Trump and Russia that is not the way that it would
be done so I I think he's making a big mistake continually attacking Muller
because he's sort of begging for Muller to write a report that's that's gonna be
scathing you just to defend himself and it just
doesn't look like that from the outside but that's race I don't think so well
does it also accomplish I mean if the president is silent about it at this
point if these people in his constellation Cowen man afford and at
least mentioned a wider scope Chris Collins fortunately but you were saying
in terms of Republicans but I'm saying in terms of the president because
Collins and Duncan Hunter in that order were the first sitting members of
Congress to endorse the president so they are in the constellation of
conversation that we're talking about but if it really has nothing to do with
Muller's investigation why even bring it up well yeah I think I don't mean to
suggest that I don't think Muller is interested in Trump at all because I
think as to Trump it's an obstruction investigation not a collusion in the new
tweet the new narrative that you may have picked up it has nothing to do with
me right is what the president says and that you would say would be better
nomenclature better narrator it would certainly be better than than a full
frontal assault on the prosecutor who up until this point has not even hinted in
anything public that that Trump is involved in a corrupt way with Russia
but you've said that this is largely political for the president facing and
peanut charges as opposed to actually a legal liability so it does make sense
for president Trump to wage this PR battle against Muller because this is a
political fight this is a PR fight and that's what President Trump is doing
that we've seen in you know public polling has been different but we have
seen it going you know in different directions and people and so I think
pointing to the mana for case what President Trump can say and what Senator
Lindsey Graham tweeted out last night this has nothing to do with collusion
this has nothing to do no it has Mulder was originally charged with so I
actually am a president Trump is being smart from a PR standpoint and a
political stand let me just play the guy from you know you putting your lawyer
hat I would push back it just in this sense I agree with you that he's done a
public relations strategy because he's thinking about impeachment which is
about public opinion it's not about what happens in court but I think you have to
play out the whole chess game and whatever the polls look like now the
last word on this is going to be Muller's report that's right would it be
wrong for him to be swayed emotionally and well we talked about this once
before saying that you say anything in the
report that's untrue but you can write or does it you can write a report or you
can write a report sounds like spin to me no it's not so
it's how compellingly aggressively you argue the facts it's also worth
remembering that the next man up for trial that will be happening in DC is in
a large part about mana forts work with this pro-russian pro pro puttin
Ukrainian politician and party so we don't know and there are people that
have thought the very dirty former president exact crane politically it was
close with President Putin and with Russia and so the Russia guy that
Christopher Steele was Russia on behalf it looked like no it's not
former President Yanukovych no there is another guy but that Christopher steel I
was talking about Yanukovych palm Anna fort was lobbying for didn't report that
and there are people who have said that when Paul Manafort was running the
campaign the platform of the campaign became much more pro-russian much less
pro-ukrainian so I thought supportive issues are going to come up in the next
in the next track already learned even from this past trial just in terms of
that 58 or so million dollars that's where some of the money was coming from
because he was doing work for that right for that former president I'll be I'll
be interested I'll be interested to see if the trial happens though you know I
now why do you think a second because this is now the second time I've heard
this so why do you think that a second trial wouldn't well if what Muller if we
all are right that what Muller was trying to accomplish is to squeeze man
afford it looks to me like he's got him on 80 years of criminal exposure he's
got this D CK I don't think you'll appeal it because the Chinese are saying
he's going over his options now you can appeal it but look that that judge put
these prosecutors through the paces of all places yeah I gotta get a friendlier
judge so and then he's got the the DC case is a home game for mauler which
mana fort would have to be concerned about I'm sure II was happy that the the
Eastern District of Virginia case was first and then it's not like
mana Ford got acquitted yesterday he's got 10 more counts yeah Hockett that he
could retry if he wants it could definitely be squeezed there also it it
boggles my mind a little bit when people say the metaphor thing has nothing to do
with Russia because that's where the money originally came from and that's we
was working with originally so that's just it's
like that's that's what it all goes back to and you see through there how he
could have become vulnerable the question is then what did he do from
there and what did the president know about it if anything exact right and I
want to make sure we heard you correctly so the second trial might not happen so
what happens in its place well maybe he maybe he he decides to plead guilty and
cooperate with Muller which is what he's the the other thing is if he's thinking
of a pardon I think if I were thinking of a pardon the last thing I would want
is my misconduct to be a trial and I make the record worse yeah my Lenny
Davis says that Michael Cohen his client wouldn't take a pardon I don't know
where Paul manapouri broke at the same time that we don't think hold and the
reporting was it's likely because he may be ready to cooperate too so you've got
Michael Flynn Michael Cohen a couple of Michael's and Paul Manafort yeah yeah I
think Flynn's I think Flynn sentencing has been put off because if Mahler
agreed to sentence Flynn at this point it would signal that his investigation
is over which it's not yeah and that's what the paperwork said yeah it said
that we're not ready yet because we're not ready with okay I'm just right Wow
so much sadness now combining with outrage
police have revealed the suspect accused of murdering Iowa college student Molly
Tibbets was in our nation illegally for years President Trump mentioned this
case at his rally last night in West Virginia we'll talk about the effect and
the heated immigration debate stay close you heard about today with the illegal
alien coming in very sadly from Mexico and you saw what
happened to that incredible beautiful young woman

Lou Dobbs: Trump talks trade, job growth at MAGA rally in West Virginia - Duration: 13:13.
joining me now Sebastien Gorka fox business national security strategist
former strategist to president Trump and author of the new book coming out
October 9 why we fight recovering America's will to win it's available for
pre-order now the defense attorney Rebecca Rose woodland backed with us
Rebecca your thoughts on the president bravura performance
I thought he was so connected to the people
I thought he clearly speaks in regular language about the progress we're making
as a nation the progress to bring jobs back here which ensures people and hope
in the future for people I mean West Virginia has higher than the national
average on unemployment these people are suffering down there they have the
opioid crisis has at them very hard there's no jobs and he's trying to bring
jobs back to that state and back to our country as a whole and I think it's very
impressive and as Rebecca points out said 32,000 jobs lost in West Virginia
under President Obama this president creating jobs creating also a future for
the people of West Virginia that they had all taken I think as their
birthright and that is energy and coal as being a main mainstay of US energy
policy and an power you're right Lou this speech one of his longer ones
really ran the whole gamut of topics you name it from from China to NATO and
what-have-you but at the end of the day he had that one bumper sticker moment
about November and he said it's about jobs and it's about national security
and we see the news about this illegal immigrant that killed this beautiful 18
year old girl so it's it couldn't be more tragic or more topical but but
you're absolutely correct for these are the jobs these are the people in that
stadium for as many many Americans did that these are the jobs they will never
ever see coming back to America and the stunning thing is Lou it's happened in
the last year and a half just the last year and a half and and again it's about
not just producing for the American people it's about that authenticity and
your guests really hit it there this is a man who however many apartments he has
however many golf courses he owns however rich he is he instantly connects
with that audience and and that's truly remarkable truly remarkable and the
Trump wave he called it the red wave rather than the blue wave that so many
are on the left at least are fantasizing about Rebecca I don't I don't think I've
ever seen and I've covered a lot of presidents going back quite a ways I
will make it to finite I've never seen a president connect with a roomful of
people the way this president does Obama uh as a campaigner was terrific but no
one rises to the level of this man in laying out in plain straightforward
language and very powerful language exactly what he means this is a
president if you can't stand the truth don't pay attention to what this
president is saying because he means what he's saying he's saying what he
means and he doesn't dress it up i he means for the American people to have
that to have power restored to them and that has to cheer every American because
what we're watching in this society now and as we have watched this journey over
the last three or four decades the American people have been cheated first
at the margin and then substantially of their their birthright which is the the
power of the governed to decide who will be governing them and this president
means exactly what he's saying on that issue
he's empowering the Constitution and democracy he's really allowing the
people to come back into their own he's giving people opportunities where there
weren't opportunities opportunities were denying as he said those opportunities
were given to China they were given to other countries
rather than looking at America and saying what can we do here to keep jobs
here what can we do here to keep the economic growth happening here why hand
it all over why not create an equal situation with tariffs why are there
high tariffs for our goods to go out but not for their goods to come in this is
very basic the way I'm speaking but he speaks like that too so he doesn't speak
above anyone but he explains that we need to keep the money here it is so
powerful so when he speaks about tariffs first of all presidents just don't talk
about tariffs presidents haven't believed in tariffs they believed in
this sort of default anti-intellectual support for something so it's just
supercilious as the is the term free trade first of all there's been nothing
free about it trade implies a reciprocity that hasn't existed for
almost a half-century in this country and its trade relationships he talks
about China and and what American car manufacturers deal with and he's exactly
right I used the example of a Chevrolet Camaro being shipped to China yes so you
know a 39 thousand dollar car costs 119 thousand but time to go through the
tariffs the taxes and all of the barriers have been put up above the
Chinese there's nothing free about free trade but the business roundtable the
Chamber of Commerce wall street and the US multinationals oh yes and our good
friends the Koch brothers what have you believed that free trade is exhilarating
and free and an absolute requirement for Prosperity even though it has stripped
this country it's been largely responsible for stripping this country
of our prosperity over the course of the last four decades and in doing so in
discussing these issues that other presidents wouldn't discuss he does it
in a way that any American can appreciate he says you go to Berlin and
you won't see a Chevy Camaro yeah I spent 30-plus years of my life in Europe
there's a reason there aren't American cars on the continent
because the EU has a quadruple tariff on our products and these are the people
who are supposed to be the closest to us our NATO allies our friends in the EU
this is the Revenge of common sense and Americans can understand it and to this
philosophy that we've been buying into for more than 25 years it doesn't matter
it's a globalized economy you can offshore all of these jobs wrong because
you get to a point where you are vulnerable and beholden upon others and
the president unlike that cheesy plastic reset button hilary gave the kremlin the
president is pressing a real reset button economically to say look we're
about trade but it's got to be equitable it's got to be fair and if you don't do
it you know if you do in ways that undermine us and American workers we
will take action and that's exactly what President Trump is doing absolutely
Sebastian Gorka Rebecca rosewood thank you both a big show planned for
tomorrow night here we'll be live for two hours covering president Trump's
rally beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern in West Virginia the president throwing his
support behind Patrick Morrissey and his bid to unseat Joe Manchin in the Senate
will carry the president's remarks in full have reaction of f-words and
throughout joining me now the man of the hour himself West Virginia's
attorney-general Republican Senate candidate Patrick Morrissey and Patrick
good to have you with us how are you feeling tonight what is what does a race
look like I'd say we're feeling very good it's always exciting when the
president United States comes to visit your state and let me tell you a
president Trump is going to be a real difference maker in this Senate race he
enjoys very high approval ratings he's been able to accomplish a great deal in
his short term in office and I think he knows I'm gonna be the conservative
fighter that West Virginia is looking for and we'll be able to help out the
Trump jobs agenda he also knows that Joe Manchin has been cuddling up to all the
radical liberals supporting Hillary Barack Obama has he voted no Louanne
that tax cuts as he is actually and yes he
has in fact it's funny if you look at the issues that matter joe manchin might
try to carve out a reputation as a moderate but he's never going to give a
vote to the president unless it's already locked in so whether you look at
the Trump tax cuts Joe voted no and that's actually very harmful in West
Virginia because we really benefit tremendously from those tax cuts
doubling of the standard deduction think about it it's West Virginia this really
benefits us a lot lowering of the rates the creation of these opportunities owns
somebody really positive things for our state and Joe said no Joe's been on the
wrong side of the second Amendment issues
he supported Planned Parenthood and I think this president knows he's going to
get a strong ally in the US Senate and this is the one place president can
really come in make a big difference we're gonna win this race and we're
gonna help President Trump because he's doing so many good things in DC now he's
doing great things and I think he's going to help you quite a bit as well
let's take a look at some of the cold facts when we talk about West Virginia
and this is something what many people across the country aren't aware of I
think in West Virginia there's acute awareness of this the second largest
state for coal production 79 million tons coal mines 123 of them over the
years over the years under President Obama coal jobs lost because of his anti
coal policies thirty five thousand two hundred jobs that from the Bureau of
Labor Statistics it's it's truly stunning stuff and this president has
been building jobs and building opportunity again for coal miners and
for the coal industry the and the people of West Virginia I don't see how Manchin
can overcome that well though I think if you look at the facts what happened Joe
Manchin supported Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and imported Hillary
after deciding that she was going to put coal miners out of work how does how
does he overcome that I mean that's just overcome it well it's stunning
stuff and I think as voters look at the contrast between Joe Manchin who's with
Hillary after she said she was gonna put coal miners out of work and then look at
my background I'm the guy that led the whole national coalition to take out the
Obama power plan and we won a historic victory at the US Supreme Court over the
Obama administration we served as the bridge to get to the Trump
administration and obviously the president's been doing great things
helping out coal and our energy resources West Virginia is a big energy
state Joe Manchin let us down when he supported Hillary and Barack Obama and I
don't think that he has a good answer for that and the rest of his record
because he's still been more willing to support Chuck Schumer Nancy Pelosi
Hillary than hard-working West Virginians and he certainly is no fan of
the Trump administration because he never gives his vote when it's needed
you know there it was kind of cute there for a while while he would try to sidle
up to the president and tried to convey the idea that he was going to you know
join him in the contract to make America great again
he blew that are you gonna support the president and every aspect of his agenda
to make America great again Patrick look I'm a very strong advocate
behind this president and I'll say why one my question are you gonna support
what we're gonna be we're gonna be absolutely rock-solid strong and that's
the way we need to be and here's why Lou so many great things I
I know you do terrific I just wanted to hear you say thank you because a lot of
candidates out there are trying to make up their minds where they're gonna run
with him or not run with him and we know West Virginia we're with the president
indeed you are Patrick thanks for being with us we appreciate it thanks so much
Patrick moraz you come back thanks so much

Cohen may not accept a pardon from Trump - Duration: 0:53.
President Donald Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen
reportedly won't accept a pardon from the president if it's
offered. Cohen's attorney told multiple outlets that Cohen
isn't even hoping for a pardon from Trump. On Tuesday, Cohen
pleaded guilty to eight charges in federal court, including tax
fraud, bank fraud and campaign finance violations. During the
hearing, he admitted to violating campaign finance laws
to pay off Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels, both at the
direction of then-candidate Trump. Cohen's attorney told
MSNBC he's willing to tell special counsel Robert Mueller
everything he knows regarding the investigation into Russian
meddling in the 2016 U.S. election. President Trump
tweeted Wednesday morning, saying Cohen made up stories to
get a "deal" and that the two charges of campaign finance
violations weren't actually crimes. Cohen's sentencing is
set for Dec. 12.

Dershowitz on dangers of a perjury trap for Trump - Duration: 10:46.
that's book the three of them are all worth a great read Harvard Law Professor
Alan Dershowitz good to see you both let me begin with you
Andy McCarthy on your piece if the lawyer gives them 30 hours the White
House Counsel the president goes in remember George papadopolis Lieutenant
General Flynn lying and the FBI didn't think that Flynn was lying Papadopoulos
is basically a non-player kid in all this why would the president think
anything but a perjury trap awaits him
Sean I think that that's obviously what the problem is for him here we have a
history of this investigation where you know one person remembers something one
way somebody else remembers in a different ways the same thing happened
with general Flynn you know first they decide he's telling the truth
then they decide that he's not 30 hours of conversation about what the president
was saying and what he was thinking in connection with the very actions that
Muller is looking into if the president were to go in and submit to an interview
if he remembers anything differently from the way that his attorney remembers
that the White House Counsel then may have a conflict and as I've tried to
point out those who say that an innocent person doesn't have anything to worry
about or an honest person doesn't have anything to worry about speaking to a
prosecutor are nuts because it's the prosecutor not the honest person yeah
who decides whether you're being honest Andy let's be clear when Rudy said this
weekend and I would argue it's inarticulate you know the the truth is
not the truth what he did what he was clearly saying was I would argue legal
jargon as a former prosecutor he knows well that you're gonna have say Dom
again has one story the president says one thing that's different the person
that will decide what is the truth will be the special counsel that we all know
is predisposed against Donald Trump so that is that is clear as day what he
meant in articulate but he's right
yeah that's the point he's trying to make it's the prosecutor who's the
arbiter of the truth and that doesn't mean the prosecutor is right it just
means that's the way the system is set up yeah and professor Dershowitz I got
to get you to Winnie in here this is a this is really why would it why would
the White House Council ever give them 30 hours mm-hmm well I think he the
originally the original plan of the Trump defense team was to cooperate in
the hope that the investigation would quickly end that hope has been dashed
but going back to Rudy Giuliani for a second I have an article on gatestone
today which I say when the truth isn't the truth making exactly the same point
that Andy made a point that I've been making now for three months that in
order to fall into a perjury trap all you need is one witness who contradicts
one statement bingo that the person says to the prosecutor that witness can be
somebody who is singing composing who has flipped who has a deal who's been
told either you're gonna die in prison are you gonna tell us what we want to
hear and any defense lawyer who would ever walk a client into a perjury trap
under those circumstances this is have his license reconsidered let me ask you
a question I was asking Gregg earlier professor and that is this what Paul
might afford be being prosecuted now but for all this honor nothing to do with
Russia no collusion nothing to do with Trump doesn't do with the campaign and
then the same goes for general Flynn then the same goes for Papadopoulos and
the same really goes for Michael Kohn isn't that true that this is selective
prosecution or what you call the criminalization of political differences
well you don't have to ask me that question asked judge Ellis who's
presiding over the mana for case he has stated publicly that the special counsel
is not interested in metaphors alleged crimes they're only interested in
squeezing him in order to get him to flip and to either sing or compose those
words used by judge Ellis against the president the same thing is Cohen
medallions what is medallions have to do not with the scope of the special
investigation now therein the a to him in the Southern District of
New York but they're clearly cooperating but my possession tells us because all
of this right these people Rudi's work there and ii will give you
the last word I'm really beginning to have more problems than I ever thought
with our criminal justice system a guy that's facing a hundred years key
witness in the matter for case really sounds like form of bribery to me mm-hmm
yeah well look Shawn I I think part of the reason that the jury may be having
trouble with the case is the way it was teed up for them Muller makes a deal
with gates who basically gets a walk for the same conduct this guy man afford may
spend the rest of his life in jail on you guys have both done question
survivors are finally seeing the light about this that conservatives are
finally being crackling the justices in some way something they were right I was
wrong Tommy Lehren next
my name is Jimmy Lehren hit the streets Los Angeles to find out what people
really know about socialism watch this
yes what do you think about it I love it that's social we love about it I like to
socialize with everybody we're not socialized socialism I'm not
really sure what socialism actually is so socialism is basically an economic
system and where everybody's equal there's no rich and there's no oh really
good it's kind of like what Cuba does I'm not quite so clear on the exact
definition of socialism but I think it's important that it isn't just every man
for himself I don't know because socialism's worked
in some places you know the difference between a Democrat a socialist
honestly no how do you feel about socialism sir it's great I just got back
from here four weeks in Europe free health care good schools it's wonderful
free free everything you think that we have to pay for it recent poll just came
out saying that Democrats now view socialism more favorably than they view
capitalism what are your thoughts doesn't make any sense socialism is
ridiculous I'm for it you're for socialism I am for
it why because I think everybody should have a fair opportunity for health care
and yeah this fair mean free fair means free do you hear any your friends
talking about socialism nope they don't talk about politics at all nope you know
Bernie Sanders is yes he believes in socialism
Bernie Sanders supporter I don't like Donald Trump so why not anything not
Donald Trump is okay yep there are some Democrats mostly who believe socialism
should replace capitalism do you think that's ever gonna happen
personally I do not think that's ever gonna happen i think capitalism is
fantastic it gives every American an opportunity to earn an income thank you
so much two people got it right - it was reaction or throw the brand-new book why
we fight Fox News national security strategist talk to Sebastian corker and
former Secret Service agent NRA TV contributor Dan bungee no his brother I
met today is much better-looking and smarter than him I'm just teasing
dr. korkor let's start with you your what's your reaction to that because
that is the modern Democratic Party it's stunning strong we're both old enough to
remember November the 9th 1989 where thanks to the good offices of Ronald
Reagan Margaret Thatcher and st. John Paul the second the captive people of
East Germany with their own hands took down the Berlin Wall we thought
communism socialism had had a stake driven through its heart but it's like
those zombies in those horror movies it's coming back and these people don't
know I mean Ocasio Cortez Bernie Sanders don't know that Lenin and Marx said
socialism is just the way point on on on the on the way to communism communism is
the objective of socialism is what Lenin said and the stunning thing is Margaret
Thatcher was right socialism is great until you run out of
everybody else's money just like you've seen Venezuela sure I used the same
quote often and we're running out of people other people's money damn banjee
no and it's kind of shocking I mean there's there's a pretty big percentage
of the electorate that I don't think really understands the difference now
they don't I'm reminded of that scene from Billy Madison you know we're all
Dumber for having seen that John socialism is not free stuff so
ilysm is death its despair its starvation it is the government control
the means of production Europe and Denmark and Scandinavian and Nordic
countries are not socialist socialism is for imbeciles don't be an imbecile
these are capitalist countries with high taxes if you want to argue about taxes
we can argue with the left about taxes but Denmark Scandinavia and Europe these
are not socialist countries these are capitalist economies where the
government does not own the means of production it just taxes the snot out of
its citizens I wish these people would wake up and read a book talk to Gorka
yeah this this is the great myth none of these countries are socialist countries
the land of BMW in Germany the land of Volvo in Sweden the land of Nokia sorry
these are capitalist capitalist states that tax their people a lot but on
communist States and on socialist states and and the other thing is we've
protected them for 70 years so they have the capacity to choose butter over guns
now they're in trouble when they have to defend themselves so it's a Fantasyland
it's Alice in Wonderland Shawn you both get a plus tonight quoting Margaret
