Trump news on Youtube Aug 21 2018

Let's turn to the latest comments from U.S. President Donald Trump on North Korea.

He has been speaking quite openly about his feelings on the current situation and his

hopes for the future of U.S.-North Korea relations.

And Trump says... that the future could include a second one-on-one with Kim Jong-un.

Lee Ji-won reports.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he would most likely meet again with North Korean leader

Kim Jong-un,... hinting at a possible second summit between the leaders of two long-time

adversaries, following their historic first-ever summit in June.

Speaking to Reuters on Monday, President Trump answered a question on another meeting with

Kim,... but added that he did not want to comment further.

He also offered no details on the timing or venue.

And despite the widespread skepticism that Pyongyang is not taking concrete measures

in dismantling its nuclear program, President Trump said he believes the North Koreans had

taken specific steps to denuclearize, without elaborating.

President Trump also pointed at how Kim Jong-un handed over three American detainees even

before the Singapore summit.

Trump has come under fire from his critics for making too many concessions to Pyongyang,

including his decision to actually hold the Singapore summit and suspending Washington's

joint military drills with South Korea.

President Trump, however, remains optimistic, insisting that a lot of good things are happening

with North Korea.

But he also complained that China is not helping as much as it had in the past because of its

trade dispute with the U.S.

During the interview, President Trump patted himself on the back, saying that he, someone

who's only been working on the North Korean issue for a matter of months, stopped the

regime's nuclear and missile testing, something his predecessors who had been working on the

issue for 30 years couldn't do.

Trump also pointed to the great chemistry he shared with Kim as one reason that helped

ease last year's tensions between the two sides.

Trump said he and the North Korean leader like each other,... adding he has very good

personal relations with Kim, which is what he thinks is holding the situation together.

Former White House Special Counsel Explains Why Trump And Giuliani Are Freaked Out About Don McGahn - Duration: 1:42.

So I think that you're seeing a

president increasingly lash out

as this gets closer to him,

Andrea.

>> Kathy, you are a former white

house counsel.

And I want to be clear because

I'm not sure the president, at

least initially, understood

this.

Don mcgahn is not the

president's personal lawyer and

he's not even the president's

lawyer, per se.

He's the lawyer for the office

of the presidency.

So there is, yes, you tell me is

there an executive privilege?

Rudy was suggesting there is

executive and lawyer/client

privilege but a weak

lawyer/client privilege here if

at all.

But you're the lawyer.

Help me out here.

>> That's exactly right.

I think Rudy is wrong.

I understand why the president

is wanting to take credit for

the fact that his white house

counsel has apparently provided

a lot of information to the

special counsel, but it really

wasn't a choice.

Wasn't a matter of strategy.

Don mcgahn is the white house

was a fact witness in a criminal

investigation, and he has an

obligation to answer questions

that are put to him.

It's as simple as that.

The D.C. Circuit court of

appeals in 1998 decided this

question pretty defin of itly

and said if you are a government

lawyer working on behalf of the

American people, and you are

advising the president or other

government officials, there is

not a traditional

attorney/client privilege in the

way we think about if you would

go out and hire a lawyer as a

private citizen and you are able

to talk to your lawyer with an

expectation of confidentiality.

So that ship has sailed.

And, you know, did the idea that

somehow president trump allowed

Karma Hits Trump Hating Comedian - Duration: 12:42.

Karma Hits Trump Hating Comedian

Comedians have long targeted presidents in their comedic scripts.

It used to be, however, that the jabs were light and the candor of the comedian was friendly,

maybe borderline insulting.

That's changed now that Trump is in office.

Now, comedians seem to believe he's fair game for all kinds of terrible/lewd/crude

jokes.

This was especially evident when comedian Michelle Wolf hosted the White House correspondents

dinner a few months ago.

The correspondent's dinner is filled with members of the media on both the left and

the right and has been one of the few places where comedians could go after any President…right

in front of his face.

But Wolf took it to another level entirely when she "roasted" the president.

This included making jokes about pedophilia, pornography, orgasming and more.

Well, come to find out, that kind of behavior isn't well tolerated.

Even by the left (not because the left doesn't enjoy these things, but because there's

no money made in selling trash).

Wolf, who has recently been given her own TV show on Netflix, recently found out she'd

be losing that coveted spot on the "boob tube."

It turns out that her show on Netflix was pulled after just a few short months on the

air.

As the Blaze writes:

Her [Michelle Wolf]show, "The Break with Michelle Wolf," premiered in May.

The 33-year-old had then joked that she would be airing "the types of jokes my former

bosses would tell me we couldn't do on TV."

Netflix confirmed to Fox News that they would not be ordering more episodes of the show.

Wolf was widely criticized for her jokes at the White House Correspondents' Dinner that

targeted White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

"I'm never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders, you know?"

Wolf said.

"Is it Sarah Sanders?

Is it Sarah Huckabee Sander?

Is it Cousin Huckabee?

Is it Auntie Huckabee Sanders?"

"Like, what is Uncle Tom but for white women who disappoint other white women?" she added.

"I know…

Aunt Coulter."

This is quite surprising considering NetFlix is filled with vile TV shows containing some

of the banalest plot lines imaginable.

But, at the end of the day, NetFlix is a business, and it would appear there's no market for

an acerbic and controversial comedian like Wolf.

Her frequent jokes about incest, pedophilia, and abortion may have won her some fans, but

support for her kind of comedy is obviously not worth spending money on…

Or listening to ever…

Nicolle Wallace Lays Out The Trump Obstruction Of Justice That Don McGhan May Have Witnessed - Duration: 1:18.

early strategy of full

cooperation was a potentially

damaging mistake.

So here's some of the flash

points in the investigation into

obstruction of justice that don

mcgahn's 30 hours of defendant

may have helped make more clear

to Robert Mueller.

First, trump's campaign to

pressure his A.G. To unrecuse

himself in the investigation.

In March trump ordered mcgahn to

stop sessions from recusing.

Next the firing of FBI director

James Comey.

Mcgahn's aides at the center and

how trump would explain it

publicly.

Then there was trump's attempt

to fire Robert Mueller.

Trump directed mcgahn to fire

the special counsel last June.

Mcgahn this time refused.

There are also concerns of

witness tampering.

"The New York Times" reporting

in March Mueller learned of two

conversations in which trump

asked key witnesses, one of them

don mcgahn, about matters they

discussed with the special

counsel, raising concerns that

the president was acting

improperly.

And then there is the spark that

ignited it all, the firing of

national security advisor Mike

mcgahn was at the center of

that, too.

He was the one who briefed trump

on Flynn's dishonesty.

And what trump knew about

Flynn's deception and when he

could -- when he knew he could

determine whether his pressure

on Comey to drop the Flynn
