It seems that President Trump may soon have another opportunity to appoint another judge

to the Supreme Court.

According to sources close to Justice Anthony Kennedy, the judge thinks about withdrawing

from the high court.

Kennedy, 80, says that old age has finally caught up with him and that he seriously considers

about retiring.

He was appointed in 1998 by president Ronald Reagan and is currently the oldest justice

in the high court after the death of conservative judge Antonin Scalia.

Even though he was appointed by Reagan, Kennedy is politically impartial and has always been

the one to decide Supreme Court tiebreakers.

After Gorsuch's appointment, the Supreme Court is divided by four conservative and

four progressive justices, with Kennedy caught in the middle, always deciding SCORUS stalemates.

Should Kennedy decides to withdraw, this will give Trump the opportunity to appoint another

conservative justice, thus having five conservative to four liberal justices.

Judge Kennedy is close to President Donald Trump with the two of them both having kids

who reside in New York.

The Supreme Court justice has invited Ivanka Trump to the high court to sit in a section

usually reserved for family.

The President's success in replacing Justice Scalia with a prudent and devoted justice

may have affected Kennedy's final decision since he has seen that Trump is capable of

choosing people that will be worthy to replace the honorable Supreme Court justices.

Let's just hope that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 84, will also withdraw in a couple

of years.

Ginsburg will be smart to do this since she has trouble staying awake during Supreme Court

hearings and it is fairly impossible for her to stay at the high court during Trump's

tenure.

If both Justice Ginsburg and Justice Kennedy withdraw, Donald Trump could appoint one-third

of the Supreme Court.

If Trump eventually succeeds to appoint another right-leaning judge to the high court, this

will slope the balance of the court to six conservative and three liberal justices.

protesters were peaceful.

The alt-right understood that if the statue of Robert E. Lee was destroyed, then no other

monument would be safe.

Although the patriots were protesting peacefully, the liberals went extremely violent.

They don't know what peacefully means and their pattern is violence.

If you don't recall, the in Berkeley, and it's beginning to become a pattern with

them.

They attacked the alt-right "fascists" with sticks, stones, and other weapons.

The alt-right fought back and the media has shown only that side of the story claiming

they were responsible for all the violence.

The liberals want to tear down every monument.

They started in Durham, North Carolina, by wrapping a rope around a monument of a Confederate

soldier.

After they tore it down, they were cheering.

The same thing happened in Baltimore when Mayor Catherine Pugh secretly removed four

national monuments overnight.

According to Silence is Consent, with Governors such as Terry McAuliffe coming out and pushing

for the removal of confederate monuments, it seemed that all hope was lost—until Donald

Trump stepped in.

Time and time again, President Trump has shown us that he truly does care about the patriots

who elected him into office…and he doesn't care about what anyone else thinks.

President Trump will not let the radical Muslims and crazy liberals to destroy our country.

He even ordered the Interior Department to safeguard these memoirs.

According to Daily Caller, The Interior Department won't be removing monuments to Confederate

soldiers at national battlefields that are "an important part of our country's history,"

according to a spokesman.

"The National Park Service is committed to safeguarding these memorials while simultaneously

educating visitors holistically and objectively about the actions, motivations and causes

of the soldiers and states they commemorate," spokesman Jeremy Barnum told E&E News.

This statements came after one woman was killed during the Charlottesville rally when a man

drove into the crowd of counter protesters.

The liberals are doing everything they can to destroy our country and erase our history.

He specifically referred to Rolling Stone co-founder Iann Wenner.

Wenner is a very overt liberal and hates the second amendment.

She is also a part of choosing the inductees.

"I'm on the board of the directors of the NRA [National Rifle Association]," Nugent

said last week.

"Jann Wenner hates the Second Amendment so that's the only reason I'm not in the

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

When qustioned on Twitter about Nugent's claim, Crosby dubbed Nugent as an "a**hole"

and said that it was Nugent's lack of talent that stopped him from entering the Hall of

Fame.

When Fox News host Eboni Williams asked Nugent whether he would be in the Hall of Fame if

he were a liberal, Nugent said he would be "too stupid to carry on a conversation"

Donald Trump's South Asia policy review today Will US pick a larger role for India - Duration: 5:00.

According to the White House, US President Donald Trump is holding his much awaited South

Asia strategy review focused on Afghanistan today at his country retreat Camp David in

Maryland.

In attendance will be US Vice-President Mike Pence, US National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster

and the US National Security Team.

The inter agency exercise aimed at redrawing US' Afghanistan strategy includes inputs from

the US State and Defence departments.

An earlier plan by US Defence Secretary James Mattis and H.R. McMaster to increase the number

of US troops in Afghanistan was rejected by Trump.

The plan sought to send around 5000 more US troops to the South Asian nation.

The US has currently 9000 troops stationed in Afghanistan in its longest war in history

that began in 2001.

Reportedly, Trump has conveyed to his lieutenants that the US is not winning in Afghanistan

and he might go for a radical revamp of the US policy there.

THE AIM OF THE INTER AGENCY EXERCISE

The exercise is also aimed at incorporating regional perspective to the whole Afghan issue.

To explore the possibilities, the Trump administration had sent its top diplomat Alice Wells, Acting

Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs and Acting Special Representative

for Afghanistan and Pakistan, earlier this month to India and Pakistan.

India also hosted other senior US State Department, Pentagon and US Security Council officials

including Lisa Curtis and Cara Abercrombie during an event organized the MEA and a think

tank.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION'S PRO-INDIA BENT

Given the Trump administration's pro-India bent, India may emerge as an instrumental

player in Afghanistan with US policy change and it happens so, it will certainly be a

humiliating setback for Pakistan which sees India's increasing influence in Afghanistan

inimical to its interests and has linked peace efforts in Kabul to Kashmir something that

India has completely ruled out.

What also goes against Pakistan is the fact that it doesn't hold good relations with Afghanistan's

ruling establishment and is fast losing its credibility in Washington as well.

That India is on the US radar become clear from the fact that the all powerful US Senate

Armed Services Committee has strongly advocated for a strong Indian role in Afghanistan.

"The committee believes that the US needs to recommit to the fight in Afghanistan and

that India, as a major defence partner of the US and a contributor to regional security,

has a critical role to play in this effort", the committee report last month.

Also, the review meeting is going to be held in the backdrop of pro India and anti Pakistan

developments in the US. Trump called Prime Minister Narendra Modi to wish India on its

Independence Day while he didn't extend the courtesy to Pakistan, its so-called ally in

the war on terror.

SALAHUDDIN A GLOBAL TERRORIST, HIZBUL A TERRORIST OUTFIT

Then the US first termed Syed Salahuddin a global terrorist in June and then declared

his ISI supported organization Hizbul Mujahideen a terrorist outfit.

Pakistani propaganda calls them freedom fighters and has termed the US action completely unjustified.

Before it, the US pressure had forced Pakistan to house arrest Hafiz Saeed in January this

year.

And to compound Pakistan's problems, its latest Country Report on Terrorism has called Pakistan

a haven for India-centric terrorists.

Also, the US has made a part of its military assistance to Pakistan conditional to its

handling of Afghan terror groups including the Haqqani Faction and it withheld the amount

for this year and the last year, over $600 million, as Pakistan could not convince the

US of its action against the Haqqani Faction.

INDIA, A TRUSTED FRIEND OF AFGHANISTAN

India has been a trusted friend of Afghanistan for decades and shares cultural ties with

it.

The Pentagon defines India as Afghanistan's most reliable regional partner.

India has played an important role in Afghanistan's reconstruction in post Taliban era spending

around $2 Billion since 2002 on development projects including its parliament building

and committed another $1 Billion last year.

The Indian aid basically has been in infrastructure development, health services and military

equipments like bullet proof jackets and convoy vehicles.

But breaking the tradition of not giving lethal military equipments in aid, it gave Afghanistan

four attack helicopters last year and is also training its soldiers.

When Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal posted her fantasy of the assassination of

President Trump earlier in the week, one has to wonder if she gave any thought to the possible

consequences.

We'd like to think in order to serve in a public office at a state or federal level,

one would need to be somewhat intelligent.

But we've been proven wrong again and again on that.

Here's what the leaders of Missouri along with other lawmakers are attempting to do

to her.

LOUIS, MO — The Lieutenant Governor of Missouri is suggesting steps to remove State Senator

Maria Chappelle-Nadal from office.

Thursday she posted, and then later deleted, a Facebook comment saying she hoped President

Trump would be assassinated.

This had many elected officials calling for her resignation.

The Secret Service is now investigating her.

Lieutenant Governor and President of the Missouri Senate Mike Parson says that Article III,

Section 18 of the Missouri Constitution allows for her removal for calling for the assassination

of the President of the United States.

"Many Republicans and Democrats have asked for her resignation.

For her to continue to serve as a Missouri State Senator is totally unacceptable.

There are ways to remover her from office but I think she should take responsibility

for her actions and resign," said Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson.

"As the President of the Missouri Senate I have the ability, the right to call on my

fellow Senators to expel her from the Missouri Senate; which I plan to do if she does not

resign."

Governor Eric Greitens told his Facebook fans that he believes Chappelle-Nadal should step

down.

Trump Says His Military Ban is a "Favor" - Aug 18 Debrief - Duration: 4:06.

Hi friends -- I'm back home in Seattle, and wouldn't you know, a lot's happened while

I was away.

Trump's still defending his trans military ban, while his own Secretaries are speaking

out against it.

The administration is about to unveil a new law that's likely to result in queer people

denied medical care.

And there's also some good news, from of all places, Texas.

Let's get caught up with those stories and actions you can take on Weekly Debrief.

Donald Trump wants you to know that he just did the army a big favor with his trans service

ban.

You know, the one that nobody asked for, will result in thousands of soldiers losing their

jobs, and is going to cost a billion dollars to implement.

Asked about it this week, Trump said "It's been a very confusing issue for the military,

and I think I'm doing the military a great favor."

And yes, the military is confused.

Confused about how they're going to implement this ban, and why they would even want to.

Just a few hours after Trump's "I'm doing you a favor" comments, Secretary of the Navy

Richard V. Spencer said that "any patriot...should be able to serve."

It is unheard of for serving military leaders to contradict the president in this way.

But it gives you a sense of just how harmful his policy is going to be.

Don't everyone thank him at once.

Meanwhile, Health and Human Services is doing doctors a favor they don't want, by making

it easier for them to deny medical care to queer people.

Obama-era rules require that doctors provide the same services to all patients, regardless

of gender identity or sexual orientation.

But this week the department deleted public information about that rule.

And it's expected that they'll issue new guidance any day now that would let doctors turn away

queer patients.

This wouldn't just apply to medical care relating to gender and sexuality -- it would let them

turn you away for any treatment, like a flu vaccene or getting a cast on a broken leg.

Obviously, there are almost no doctors who actually want to do this.

But a few religious groups have been pushing to eliminate protections.

And if this change goes through, it would mean that you could be denied care in an emergency

when you need it most.

This isn't hypothetical.

It's something that's been happening for years, and the Obamacare rules gave victims a chance

for redress.

There was Tyra Hunter, who died after a car crash when EMTs refused to care for her.

Shaun Smith who died from diabetic shock when EMTs discovered he was trans.

Michael Minton, who had surgery cancelled with just a few hour's notice.

There was a doctor in Michigan who refused to treat a see a lesbian couple's daughter.

This is rare, but it happens, and when it does it's often at a time when there's no

time to look for alternative care.

Now there is some GOOD news this week.

In Texas, a proposed ban on trans bathroom access just failed.

Republicans were pushing hard to pass the ban but after a massive outcry from the public,

from businesses, and from law enforcement, the legislature's special session ended without

it passing.

The bill would have been yet another "favor" to nobody -- trans people have been using

bathrooms with no issues for years, so suddenly banning them from bathrooms would have only

created problems rather than solving any.

But despite this good news, there are similar laws still pending in states around the country.

Elsewhere in the country, you probably saw all the violence in Charlottesville this past

week.

It all happened under the pretense of protecting statues -- but you don't need to carry swastikas

to protect a statue.

This past week saw Americans marching under Nazi flags, and let's not forget how queer

people fared under Nazi.

In fact, the community maintains a symbol, the pink triangle, as a reminder of what happened.

So in the face of this domestic terror, what can you do?

There are a lot of experts monitoring the violence and recommending actions, and one

of the best is the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Visit SPLC.org to find a long list of actions you can take.

Whether it's people being thrown out of the military, denied medical care, refused access

to public spaces, or confronted with incitements to murder, it's crucial to stand up against

bigotry.

And SPLC has the best guidance for how to do that.

Joe Arpaio is about to get the best news of his life.

On Friday, it was discovered that the White house counsel, at the request of President

Donald Trump, has prepared a presidential pardon for the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe

Arpaio.

And Trump is ready to sign it.

The question is whether President Trump will sign the pardon now, before traveling to Phoenix

for a rally at the Phoenix Convention Center on Tuesday, August 22 – or if President

Trump will sign it at all.

On Monday, Aug. 14, Trump retweeted a Fox and Friends article headlined, "Trump 'seriously

considering' a pardon for Sheriff Joe Arpaio" – a signal to Trump's base that he did

not intend to travel to Arizona for Tuesday's rally without having first pardoned Arpaio

– or even that Trump might use the Tuesday rally as the stage on which to sign the pardon

with Arpaio present, on stage.

Not pardoning Arpaio prior to or during the Phoenix rally could set off a negative reaction

among Trump's base that remembers Sheriff Arpaio as an early and vocal Trump supporter

who championed Trump's rally call during the campaign to "Build That Wall!"

Either way, Trump's decision will be controversial, especially given Arpaio's history of enforcing

immigration laws the Obama administration wanted ignored, and the divisiveness of the

Charlottesville protests with the mainstream media attempting to portray Trump as a white

supremacist.

On July 31, U.S. District Judge Susan R. Bolton found Arpaio guilty of misdemeanor criminal

contempt in an opinion she could have written her opinion before the trial even started

– an opinion that made clear her prejudice from the start that Arpaio was guilty of misdemeanor

Now at 85-years-old, Arpaio faces a misdemeanor criminal contempt sentence that could include

up to six-months in jail.

For Arpaio supporters, this would be a sad end to a distinguished career that includes

After Donald Trump's disastrous responses to the events that took place last weekend

in Virginia numerous charities have now pulled out of events that they had previously scheduled

at Mar-a-Lago, events that they schedule at Mar-a-Lago, Trump's alleged winter white house,

for years.

These groups now understand that being associated with a President who openly embraces and sympathizes

with the kind of hate that we saw in Virginia, that that is no longer acceptable.

They do not want to use his facilities, they do not want to pay any money to his organization,

to put back in his pocket, because they understand that doing so would support hate.

These aren't just little fly buy night charities either, this is the American Cancer Society,

the Cleveland Clinic, and the Israeli version of the Red Cross.

These organizations do not want to be associated with Donald Trump, they do not want to utilize

his companies anymore.

They understand that even though they'd be raising money for people in need, sometimes

it's absolutely not worth it, if you have to associate yourself with one of the least

popular presidents in the history of this country.

They're the least popular because of their embrace of hate, their refusal to denounce

hate, their refusal to get rid of the basic hate mongers, the Alt-Right people, in his

administration, including Bannon, Gorka and Miller.

They understand that sometimes it's just not worth it, they can go somewhere else, raise

just as much money for these charities and not haver to support Donald Trump on the backend,

by renting out his facilities.

That is one of the most brave moves that we have seen in the last week.

We've seen business leaders step away, but charities need money, charities constantly

have to fundraise.

For them to say that we are willing to possibly take a smaller cut, go in front of an audience

that may not have as much money as that that goes to Mar-a-Lago.

That's telling you something.

It also, kind of further goes to show how hurtful Donald Trump's comments are, because

these charities might end up raising less money, because of Donald Trump's comments.

That means the people in need are going to get less money, less aid, less help, but Donald

Trump doesn't care about that, all he cares about is appeasing his hateful base, who sees

nothing wrong with murdering a citizen in the street, sending countless others to the

hospital.

In Trump's mind that's okay.

Now, maybe, that this issue is going to affect his wallet, result in fewer profits, fewer

revenues for his specific businesses, now, just maybe he'll start taking it a little

seriously, and understand that racism is actually pretty bad

for business.

The Microsoft founder showed his support for President Trump's ban.

According to Gates, Europe is already overwhelmed by immigrants and they are trying to put an

end to the migration problem.

What Gates suggested was that world leaders should make it difficult for migrants to reach

Europe.

This will help all the countries to put an end to all the immigrants entering the countries

on a daily basis.

Gates spoke about the problem Angela Merkel caused.

He said:

"On the one hand you want to demonstrate generosity and take in refugees, but the more

generous you are, the more word gets around about this — which in turn motivates more

people to leave Africa.

Germany cannot possibly take in the huge, massive number of people who are wanting to

make their way to Europe."

This is exactly why the leaders need to start listening to Trump.

This is why they need to issue their own travel ban.

Europe must secure their borders day and night in order to avoid a similar scenario like

They are part of our history and not all history is pretty or agreeable to everyone.

When a topic that deserves debate, serious debate because there are always two sides

agreed with Trump on this distraction of an issue.

"I think it's all senseless.

All senseless," Lee said.

"You know, we're 108 years in as NAACPers and we might think things would improve, but

they do not.

You know we still have this factor about black and white."

Correct we have come along way but we have miles to go yet.

She reflected on the statue controversy saying,

"You know that's history.

That was in that point in time.

You can't eliminate what history is.

So I disapprove with young people local pulling down those statues."

Lee then put everything in perspective and if the Democrats are smart they will listen,

"A young woman died.

Two officers were murdered in a plane crash and all for what?

Because somebody in their mind decided, 'we don't need to look at that anymore.'

It shouldn't be."

Correct.

It shouldn't be and the debate should not how we treat statues but how we treat each

other.

Something Trump knows and it seems the Democrats
