Jeh Johnson: I hope Trump learns from his Charlottesville response

Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Friday that the nation depends on its president to reduce tension, not increase it, in the hours and days after tragedies like the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, earlier this month.

Johnson, in an interview with MSNBC's "Morning Joe," said he hopes President Donald Trump can learn from his Charlottesville response — which was widely rebuked across the political spectrum — or at least learn to lean on others when faced with similar situations.

"Charlottesville was a real tragedy," Johnson said. "Charlottesville was an alarming situation, and in that type of situation, we depend upon our president to bring us together, to lower the temperature, not raise the temperature.

And so I hope that this president has the ability to learn from episodes like that or at least call upon people for advice about how to deal with complicated situations like Charlottesville.".

Trump, in both his initial response to the white supremacist marches in Charlottesville and at a news conference days after the incidents, said blame for the resulting violence should be shared between the hate groups and counter-demonstrators who had gathered to protest the supremacists presence.

At a news conference inside Trump Tower, Trump said there had been "very fine people" on both sides of the clashes.

The president revisited the issue this week at a Tuesday rally in Phoenix, where he insisted that the media had been unfair in its coverage of his response to the Charlottesville protests.

Before a raucous crowd of thousands of supporters, Trump reread his initial statement, omitting the portion where he said there had been hatred, bigotry and violence "on many sides.".

Following that rally, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper called Trump's Phoenix remarks, in which he also criticized the media and Arizona's Republican senators, "objectionable on so many levels." Clapper told CNN that "I don't know when I've listened and watched something like this from a president that I found more disturbing" and questioned the president's fitness for office.

He said the notion that Trump has access to the nation's nuclear arsenal is "pretty damn scary.". Asked about those remarks, Johnson praised his former Obama administration colleague but stopped short of seconding Clapper's questioning of the president's fitness for office.

"Jim Clapper's a good man and a great American, in my opinion," Johnson said. "And Jim is about as apolitical as they come. So I have high regard for his judgment and assessments.".

"Do you share his assessment that this president may not be fit?" MSNBC host Willie Geist asked.

"Well, no, Im not prepared to make judgments like that. I am, obviously, concerned about a number of things this president has said and done, as are a number of people — Republicans and Democrats," Johnson replied.

"And we have a lot of issues that we need to deal with. You know, a lot of us are caught up in the politics of this. It's good for ratings, but it's not very good for the welfare of the country.".

From President Donald Trump to President Taylor Swift (2084: Radio Apocalypse - Episode 04) - Duration: 3:53.

August 2017 - the month that saw billionaire President Trump threaten

the world with Nuclear War and effectively align himself with violent, extreme

far-right groups, racist sheriffs and anti LGBT agendas. It was a month that

billionaire tax dodger and part-owner of the NHS, Richard Branson, was found to

have dishonestly smeared Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn

amid the previous year's Traingate scandal. It was the month that billionaire

North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un threatened to nuke just about every part

of the North Pacific. August 67 years ago also saw multi-millionaire

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt try to take on the world's smartest man Stephen

Hawking about just how much of the UK's National Health Service had been sold

off to private billionaires up to that point. Incidentally, close to 10 per cent

and rising fast. It was also a month that the much-loved former president of

Uruguay Jose Mujica, warned the world: "Remove the wealthy elites from politics

before it's too late." Starting to see the message yet? And what were the population

most concerned with during this time? Celebrity Big Brother and a mismatch

featuring the world's most famous boxer against the world's most famous non

boxer. Is it any wonder in just a few decades the planet gets destroyed?

People were far more preoccupied with Taylor Swift's latest reinvention

Unsurprisingly after making her first billion from corporate bubblegum pop, Taylor

will go on to become President Swift in a 2030s - a hard-line Republican and the

Corporate States of America's first female leader. If listeners in the past

need any more indication of where you're going, that should strike fear up the

tightest of conservative arseholes. Still, you could always continue to shake it

off. Up next, the latest recruit to our Radio Apocalypse team, and the reason I'm

no longer a Scavenger, Winston Jones

Alright? Listen up. Welcome to today's phone-in with me

Winston Jones, broadcasting from the year 2084 back to 2017

courtesy of Radio Apocalypse's time-traveling radio waves. Why 2017 and

non-physical time travel? Well, it's as far as Julio has got so far

Spanish work ethic I guess. I'm here to offer an alternate view on the events

which brought about nuclear devastation in the 2070s. Clement Smith, the scared

socialist I call him, has his alt-left take on things

However, us Neo-Scavengers know it was immigrant extremism which led the rich

elites to nuke each other. My news sources from that time, the Daily Mail, Breitbart,

make it perfectly plain. Because the rich elites were the wealth creators, y'see

Okay, they had it all to begin with, but through having it all and passing it down to

their genetically-challenged offspring, they somehow created more for everyone

else. Which kinda makes sense, even though all the graphs and fancy charts

from the times say otherwise. But I was the do-gooding, snowflake, loony

liberal left of the time making it all up

Let's take some calls. Jim from Crater Town. Last month my John Thomas fell off

due to the cold, how do you tackle nuclear winter frost? Jim the topic is

linking immigrants with the decision to drop lots of nukes. Anything to add? Er, no

Can I just say hello to my mum, Nadiuska?

Certainly not! Here's some Wagner...

$555 Trillion Scandal Erupts, President Trump Is Irate With The Fed - Duration: 10:37.

$555 Trillion Scandal Erupts, President Trump Is Irate With The Fed

Amid the election, Donald Trump was a solid commentator of the Federal Reserve. He was

particularly straightforward against its Chair, Janet Yellen. It's plain to perceive any

reason why.

Amid Obama's years, our nation has not fared well.

Compensations have not ascended for white collar class or average workers Americans

since the 90's, yet the typical cost for basic items has.

While Obama gloated about helping the economy, a large number of individuals left the work

constrain or are presently subject to sustenance stamps or other government programs.

The billions he squandered dumping American citizen dollars into government organizations

have not floated our financial development or GDP.

However by one means or another, even with all these awful outcomes, Janet Yellen keeps

on making herself an enemy of the new organization.

She's reasoning about making a hazardous move that many are deciphering as political.

From Zero Hedge:

Janet Yellen continues to demonstrate that she is either profoundly ignorant or dishonest.

Neither of those are positive qualities for a Fed Chair.

Having maintained interest rates at essentially ZERO for seven years during the Obama years,

Yellen suddenly believes it would be "unwise" to wait too long to raise rates now.

It's a bizarre claim, particularly when you consider:

1) The US economy is limping along at best and entering a recession at worse (in 2016

GDP growth was a measly 1.9% and a the latest spate of data has all suggested a contraction

is underway).

2) The Fed owns some $ 2.4 trillion Treasuries, which would be negatively impacted by the

Fed raising rates.

3) There are over $ 555 TRILLION in interest-rate based derivatives floating around … which

similarly would be negatively impacted by raising rates.

For the Fed to embark on an aggressive tightening cycle in the context of just one of these

would be foolish … but when all three are in play?

Either Janet Yellen is actively trying to sabotage the US economy for whatever reason

or she has no remote understanding of economics (or possibly both).

Unraveling the complexities of the U.S. economy is no simple undertaking.

It takes involvement and know-how to guarantee the soundness and development of our country.

However, Yellen is by all accounts ailing in a fundamental comprehension of how our

Federal Reserve ought to work, or is persistently attempting to harm it.

Why?

Maybe despite everything she has a Socialist order from Obama.

Maybe she is mad towards President Trump.

Whichever way it's the ideal opportunity for a change at the Federal Reserve.

It's the ideal opportunity for fresh recruits to right that ship.

The dismal thing is, we'll need to hold up until 2018.

What do you think?

Ought to President Trump hold up that long to make a move, or is there something he ought

to do to keep America from conceivable catastrophe?

Janice dean of course tracking the very latest we have Casey Steve live in Dickinson, Texas and Rob Schmidt live in Rosenberg

because they're releasing this water because they're worried that the Dams will break if the Dams break Houston downtown Houston floods and

That is apparently a better option at this point then to

flood the Southwest and some other neighborhoods

intentionally on top of the

expected

Rain that is going to add more torrential downpour and further flooding with

Thousands of people being rescued just blocks from here if I could just reach over

For one second Monica. I know you're a resident and this is live TV

And you were just walking up the street

but have you heard the news that they're going to

Release they've already begun to release water out of the bayou dam and more flooding is coming. I trust you live here

Have you decided what you're gonna do and are you frightened this morning? Well actually I was just I went to my friend's house

He lives on hold it's like a few blocks from here, and then what it is to my waist

And I went over there because there's not power and to drop off a phone charger

drop off a phone charger

Do you know if she did she mention about what she's going to do now with they're releasing water?

From the Dams to intentionally flood the already flooding Buffalo bayou

Martha brought a phone charger to someone stuck here that's been told to stay put

He's gonna wake up and be told by the way you may want to leave with nowhere to go in this horrible situation

That harvey his brought

you

Out across massive areas, so they're not going to know what's going on on top of it. How does even treacherous foe

Yeah, we'll check back with you

well first that we want to check with the

Janet Dean of course you can tell us about the very latest in terms of you know in it

Along with the Voluntary or the controlled releases you have additional rain coming. Yeah, unfortunately. It's not a good situation

Anyway, you look at it

And they've received over two feet of rain in this area you know the national weather service had it right?

And at times it didn't look like it could possibly come true

But it did over two feet of rainfall in a very short period of time, we're dealing with a year's worth of rain in

Just a matter of hours. They were seeing four to six inches an hour of rainfall which is

Meteorological E insane that is what we're going to be dealing with unfortunately over the next couple of days the center of circulation

Forecast to move into the gulf of Mexico it actually could pick up some winds and days the center of circulation

Forecast to move into the gulf of Mexico it actually could pick up some winds and bring in more moisture from the gulf of Mexico

We're just hoping it moves a little bit more eastward and gives houston a break although

I want to make mention that our folks West of Houston North of Houston East of Houston also getting

Tremendous flooding and tremendous numbers, so we're watching you as well

But you can see the heaviest rain band right now. Just east of houston. So they're getting a bit of a break

Not for long though and fortunately more rain in the forecast the threat for tornadoes as well a tornado warned storm

earlier on just around the beaumont area right here south of Beaumont, so we see these tornadoes weak tornadoes, but

It's still

the potential for damage

And we have seen over you know dozens of reports of tornados unfortunately and people are you know usually I tell people to go?

Into your basement to the lowest portion of your home

But right now the flooding is the biggest threat you have to go to the highest portion of your home

So you know I there's no words for this situation unfortunately

Don't lay ladies it

Boggles them I just hope for the safety of everyone and hopefully the message will get across that we still have to

Prepare for days of rain in this area

and I can imagine being on top of your roof and having absolutely nowhere else to go if you were in like a two or

Three story home thinking okay. I've got a couple of stories now. You're on a roof you have no

Nowhere else it's a tragedy unfolding. Thank you, janice

Well disturbing images from inside the disaster zone look at this showing helpless nursing home patients trapped in dirty waist-deep water

This was an amazing story several coming out KC

Steagle joins us now with our live team coverage live in Dickinson, Texas with details on this dramatic rescue KC

Tell us the story behind it

ladies just incredible

Dickinson, Texas first of all is back here

This is the exit off of the interstate to get to it and it is flooded out

It's the spot yesterday where we saw boat after boat after boat being launched into the flood waters to carry out these

Rescues my photojournalist Jeremy pollard got on one of those rescue boats

We want to show you some video because you still can't even get into

Dickinson at least from Interstate 45 by car

It's only by boat and people were just sitting there

Waiting to be picked up from all of these volunteers who heard the calls

For help frost a man who was just sitting on the roof of his truck and people that were just

Waiting for anyone to come by and pull them to safety and pull them to dry land

so these have been numerous search and rescue operations going on and

we started to see images on social media of a nursing home here in Dickinson and

people were just heartbroken by it they

we saw

Elderly patients sitting in water and it went viral and it didn't take long before

Help to arrive listen

we were having trouble getting in touch with

Anybody who would answer a phone call for rescue?

We decided to go ahead and tweet. It just because we thought at least then we could get someone's attention. It's frightening

I mean imagine your mom a few states away, you know with all of these residents and the poor residents

I mean, it's just heartbreaking to see them

The power of Social Media just think if we had Twitter or something like that during Hurricane Katrina

I know there a lot of parallels being made and

is A

Incredible sense of urgency out here

But right now curfews in effect throughout most of the areas so it's quiet now

But you bet if the first start of sun, and the first break of dawn, we're gonna have lots of people out here

Doing it all over again

Casey's just to give everybody an update all those patients are ok those overly patients that were rescued

How many did they have those nursing homes have a lot of Russians I?

apologize for that, I thought that was included there the woman that you heard from was one of the

Daughters of one of those ladies at the home and we are happy to report that they were all

successfully evacuated and

safe, and sound don't have an exact number of how many were there, but everyone has been accounted for we understand and

They are safest God bless and they have a lot of equipment that you had to go from to some oxygen and wow thanks to

the power of Social Media there like you said

Well governor Greg Abbott meantime warning the most brutal storm to hit, Texas

It's not over yet the meteorologists also saying it days of drenching downpours

Packed with historic flooding still ahead water already taking a toll on roads opening this massive sinkhole

That's where rob schmidt picks up our team coverage this morning live in Rosenberg, Texas Rob

Yeah, guys getting soaked again these bands keep coming through. It'll be dry now. It's raining again and look at the power

Or of water behind me it really illustrates it perfectly just an incredible vision to see this hole open up

This was a little stream that went underneath this roadway and the power of all that

you

water just

Exposed it exposed the sinkhole and then the road came down with it just an incredible image

And you know as we're seeing all this we're seeing all of this rain. Which was pretty

Dicted you know the National weather service

They made some great calls our people at Fox news made some great calls on how much water we get now

There's criticism of the houston representatives, and you know the leaf

Here's hyrum for not evacuating we're seeing all these people getting into these situations have to be rescued

Here is the governor talking a little bit about that

We move Beyond

Whether or not there should have been an evacuation or not and we are at the stage where?

We just need to respond to the emergencies and necessities

The people of Houston have but again. It's not just people around Houston

you

Well, yeah

And it's not it the problem is widespread and when you go down to where we first started

This whole endeavor in Rockport and port aransas areas like that aransas past. They were evacuated and rightfully so people came back to their homes

Decimated that same call wasn't made here in Houston, and you're seeing the result of all these rescues having to be made

So we're gonna have to wait and see what happens with the local leaders there

And how they're gonna be held accountable for that if they should be guys we'll send it back to you

yeah, port Aransas and Rock port

Devastated all right. Thank

Thank you so much. Well the hurricane also causing some hay us out on the high Seas

20,000 people are stranded on cruise ships

They're unable to dock in Flood ravaged, Galveston

Texas some of those ships have been rerouted to new Orleans to replenish the supplies and let some of the passengers off

Another ship headed off to Miami officials. Hope to reopen the port of Galveston tomorrow

I heard some of those people can't get off till Friday

you imagine heather and this a

Powerful photo showing a little boy doing all he can to stay dry as water creeps into his house in Dickinson

Texas the little guy clutching to his stuffed animal monkey while sitting on a counter in the kitchen

Brown muddy water you see there halfway up the cabinets. Hope they give me that okay

well sending more help from

1,000 miles away, New York City police officers and firefighters are headed to Houston to assist in the hurricane relief and rescues

120 first responders

specially trained to help in catastrophic

Events packing up rescue supplies food tools and boats they could be stationed in Texas for up to three weeks

Surreal

Before-And-after photos showing just how devastating the flooding has become in this one here on your left

You can see Memorial Parkway in Houston

This is what it looks like on Saturday the photo on the right is the same Parkway

Just one day later 24 hours and this one showing

severe highways in a river before the storm there that river

Turning the entire area into a lake as the water rises you would never even guess. There's a road there

That's why they need more boats to get people out. Well the time now is 12 minutes after the top

closed

Due to harvey's floodwaters what that means for you coming up and thousands forced to flee their homes as Texas grapples with

Catastrophic flooding we've been talking about it all morning long how the white house is

Kicking into high gear to see the state through the crisis. We're live in Houston next

live from Houston this morning Doug

Good morning. We're in downtown Houston and look at the flood waters. Behind me now believe it or not we've seen these waters

drop just ever so slightly

This morning, but that's going to change the course of the day most likely because this storm is moving so slowly

It's just just going to keep on a dumping rain in this area

The tight the governor of Texas has mobilized the national guard to assist

in rescue efforts and just kind of dealing with the aftermath of this storm, but

Kellyanne Conway Complains That The Media Isn't "Forced" To Be Nice To Trump - Duration: 4:23.

Officials within the Trump White House are still furious about the fact that the media

is actually reporting the truth about what Donald Trump is actually doing as president

of the United States.

Obviously, any time the president is in trouble, Kellyanne Conway comes trotting out.

She goes to Fox News this past Friday and she laments the fact that the media is not

forced to cover the president in a positive way.

Take a look at the clip.

A couple nights ago on television, he said he wondered whether or not the president was

fit to be president, fit to serve.

If James Clapper is watching right now, what's your message to him?

It's such an absurd analysis, playing armchair psychiatrist.

It's not just him.

It's a lot of people on TV.

I remember ... I'm old enough to remember when news stations reported the news and didn't

just have a parade of pundits going out there and opinionating and rendering their opinions,

pontificating and conjecturing.

I think it leads to analysis like this because people end up with very little to say.

They're not compelled.

They're not forced.

Nobody demands that they actually report facts-

Is this over the line?

Kellyanne?

Pardon me?

Is this over the line?

[crosstalk 00:01:15]

Yes, of course, it's way over the line.

It's way over the line.

The media and other opinion leaders, they were way too afraid of President Obama and

his administration.

They're not afraid enough here, meaning they say, "Well, this is just our job to report

the facts and hold people accountable."

That's not what that is.

I won't repeat what they're saying because it gives it oxygen.

I have an idea for Kellyanne Conway and really anyone within the Trump administration.

Instead of being angry at the media for not covering Trump positively, how about you look

at your guy, Donald, and wonder why he's not doing anything positive for the media to talk

about?

Fox News is the only media outlet that covers Donald Trump positively with the exception,

of course, of Washington Post and New York Times whenever Donald Trump decides to bomb

somebody because the media loves a good war.

When it comes to what the other outlets are reporting, they're not saying anything that's

not true.

They're not out there saying Donald Trump is just a horrible human being and that's

the end of the story.

They're adding some context.

They're letting us know why they think that and they're backing it up with facts and figures

and statistics.

Now, admittedly, MSNBC does spend a hell of a lot of time talking about the Russia thing

rather than reporting on some of the real horrible things that the president's actually

doing at the moment.

Right now, since Donald Trump can't stop talking about Russia himself, they're talking about

it as well.

For Kellyanne Conway to come out and say that it's sad that the media is not forced to cover

the president positively, and then say that they were never this hard on Obama, I don't

know if you know this, Kellyanne, because you're not very bright, but you were actually

talking to a couch full of human beings who spread the lie and hosted guests who spread

the lie that Barack Obama wasn't even born in the United States, or that he was somehow

a secret Muslim.

People on that couch who criticized his every move every single day for absolutely no reason

whatsoever.

Don't you dare get out there and say that they were never this bad to Obama because

you're talking to the people who were the worst to him, who spread lies about him far

worse than anything anyone has done about Donald Trump.

The media does not have an obligation to be nice to anyone.

The media has an obligation to the American public to tell the truth.

I'm sorry that that truth doesn't fit into your little world view where Donald Trump

is king and he can do no wrong.

Because here in the real world, all we're seeing coming out of the White House is mistake

after mistake after mistake.

Trump To End Ban On Military Weapons Going To Police Forces - Duration: 4:26.

A few years ago when we were experiencing the epidemic among police departments in the

US of them killing minorities for no other reason than to just kill them, one of the

big stories that emerged was the fact that many police stations are actually getting

hand-me-downs from the US military, militarized weapons, vehicles, up-armored Humvees as if

police departments need these, and they're using these to go out there and act as these

wannabe commando types and they're killing minorities.

Well, Obama decided to put an end to that.

He ended that program that sent police departments across the United States those surplus military

goods and Donald Trump, again because it's something Obama did, is already working on

undoing that.

According to a leaked draft of a rule by the Trump Administration, they are trying to erase

Obama's ban on military gear going to US police forces and so that Donald Trump can sign this

order and send even more military-grade weapons, military-grade vehicles, to police officers

all across this country.

This story is exceptionally important right now for one distinct reason.

As we have discussed, as anyone who's turned on the news in the last few weeks understands,

race relations in this country are pretty abysmal.

Bad things are happening, and it's the result of white supremacists feeling energized under

Donald Trump.

Police officers are doing virtually nothing to protect the anti-white supremacist protestors.

As we all know, somebody was killed in Charlottesville by one of these white supremacists.

Black men were beaten down.

Finally this past weekend we actually got an arrest, even though the whole thing was

videoed and we knew who the guy was.

We also had reports this weekend that apparently video has surfaced, there were shots fired

by the supremacists into the counter-protestors, and the police didn't do a damned thing.

What do you think those police officers are gonna do with military-grade weapons in these

situations?

Do you think they're gonna use them to keep the peace?

Or do you think they're gonna use them to scare people?

Do you think they're gonna use them against people?

Because that's my bet, you know why?

Because that's what they've done in the past with it.

It didn't work then, and it won't work now, especially not with what we're seeing in the

United States today.

A new report came out this past weekend that white supremacists groups are trying to infiltrate

police departments across this country.

The sheriff, I believe, Oklahoma, maybe, I could be wrong on that, who came out as the

owner and director of a white supremacist website.

And we want to give these people military-grade weapons and armor and vehicles?

That is insane, but that is what Donald Trump wants.

We are on the verge of becoming a full-blown police state in this country if this rule

goes through, goes back into effect.

Yes, it was bad under Obama, it was bad under Bush, and everybody else before that, but

things are so much worse now and they are so much different.

Giving these people access to these kinds of weapons, this kind of authority, and we've

already seen how Donald Trump treats people or law enforcement officers who discriminate

against minorities.

He gives them a pardon.

This is a bad idea that's gonna end very badly and most likely will end in the loss of life

for American citizens because our police departments have proven time and time again that they

cannot be trusted with military-grade weapons.

Furthermore, under very few circumstances, would they ever even need this kind of equipment.

But don't tell that to Donald Trump, because all he knows is that Obama put the ban in

place, so he has to be the one to repeal it.

Trump Tweets Nonsense As Texas Drowns - Duration: 4:51.

This past weekend, Hurricane Harvey ravaged through Galveston, has made its way to Houston

as a tropical storm, where it is currently just sitting mainly around the area.

Various other cities throughout Texas also experienced widespread devastation.

Currently, the areas affected by this storm are in what experts are calling a thousand-year

flood, meaning this kind of weather event only happens about once every thousand years.

Scientists have warned us that it is very obvious that climate change affected the strength

and severity of this storm.

That's what also obviously led to a lot of widespread devastation.

FEMA's estimating as many as half a million people might be seeking relief through FEMA.

We still have people in rising flood waters begging to be rescued, and what has Donald

Trump been doing throughout all of this?

He's been tweeting.

Over the weekend, as people were struggling to get out of their homes, in which the water

was rising to deadly levels, Donald Trump tweeted out a book recommendation by Sheriff

David Clark, an avid Trump supporter and somebody who's been known to grossly abuse the human

rights of prisoners within his jail.

Donald Trump tweeted out a book recommendation by that guy.

He also, for some reason, decided to brag about his electoral victory in Missouri in

the 2016 election because as he talked about hey I'll be going to Texas later this week,

I'm also going to Missouri, which I won by huge margins, and then he started going on

about Democrats and whatnot.

And, he also tweeted about Canada and Mexico not being very enthusiastic about the renegotiation

of NAFTA, and he tweeted out to reassure us that once and for all, that Mexico one way

or another is damn sure going to pay for that border wall.

In between those tweets, granted, he tweeted out things about the storm.

He tweeted out about the historic rainfall.

Wow, he said.

Wow, with an exclamation point, as if he's bragging about being president during historic

amounts of rainfall.

Now keep in mind, the people in Texas right now are expected to receive an additional

50 inches of rain in the next week.

It's supposed to continue on until at least Friday.

Begging for help and Donald Trump tweets "Wow!

Historic rainfall."

This man has been given every opportunity to act like a leader, every single possible

opportunity to come out, reverse course, and say you know what, people need me, I'm going

to put my goddamn phone down, and I'm going to act like a human being and go help these

people.

Do you know what Barack Obama did during Hurricane Harvey this weekend?

He tweeted out donation links for the Red Cross.

He tweeted out links for people to go volunteer.

He thanked the first responders.

It wasn't until Obama thanked the first responders out there, risking their lives to save other

people, that Donald Trump decided to tweet out something similar.

He couldn't even take the lead on thanking people for helping out.

People from all over the country are driving down to Texas right now with their boats in

tow to go help with the rescue efforts because we don't have enough people to go out there

who are employed by the government to save lives.

Donald Trump failed miserably in this test of leadership, just like he has every other

time since he has been president.

He is unfit to lead.

He is too callous to lead, and he has absolutely no empathy for these people.

Right now, he's scheduled to go there on Tuesday, but officials in the White House are already

saying that might not actually happen yet.

He may not go to the storm affected areas when he does finally go to Texas.

What does that tell you about this man?

Does it tell you that he's a strong leader?

Does it tell you that he's somebody that cares?

Or does it tell you that he's just an egotistical maniac who's somehow dumbed his way into the

office of the presidency and he doesn't deserve to hold that position?

I'm going to go with the latter on that one.

Trump's Pardon Of Joe Arpaio Proves Trump Is On The Side Of Hate - Duration: 4:08.

Under the cover of hurricane Harvey making landfall late Friday evening, Donald Trump

decided that this was his best opportunity to go ahead and issue a full pardon to Arizona

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who had been convicted for violating the Fourth Amendment, by specifically

targeting Latinos during his service as a law enforcement officer and as a sheriff.

The court found that Joe Arpaio had no respect whatsoever for the Constitution, and blatantly

violated it.

He had not yet been sentenced for his crime.

But, nonetheless, Donald Trump saw a media opportunity, when the media was focused on

hurricane Harvey, and decided to pardon this horrible human being from the state of Arizona.

Well, obviously it didn't go quite as planned, because the media still spent a good amount

of time this past weekend talking about this horrible decision by Donald Trump.

There are several things that need to be pointed out about what Trump did that stand out as

incredibly odd.

First and foremost, Donald Trump did not go through the normal pardon procedure in order

to issue this pardon.

Typically, these go through the Justice Department.

The President confers with the justice department.

Then, make the determination on when and how and where and if they should do it.

Donald Trump decided to act unilaterally on this, and pardoned Arpaio himself.

Furthermore, Donald Trump absolutely does have the authority to do that.

I've seen some people say that he can't do that.

Well, unfortunately, yes he can.

It's in the constitution.

However, if he is going to use the Constitution to pardon a man who has and respect for the

Constitution, then why should we let Trump continue that power?

He has shown that he has no respect for the Constitution.

So, maybe we need to not respect it and get rid of the presidential pardoning power, or

at least send it through some kind of a review process so that jerks like Trump can't pardon

jerks like Arpaio.

Furthermore, Trump's pardon of Joe Arpaio, as many pointed out this weekend, I saw this

headline all over the place.

It's not showing that he's embracing hatred, and racism, and bigotry.

It's showing that hatred, and racism, and bigotry are actually his goals as president

of the United States.

Race relations right now in the United States are in a very, very bad spot because of Donald

Trump; because of his normalization of the alt right, and of white supremacists, and

of people of that caliber.

The neo-Nazis are super energized right now.

The KKK is re energized right now, after dying off for decades.

And Donald Trump's pardon of Joe Arpaio, a man who made his name being a racist, shows

that Donald Trump is clearly on their side.

He is on the side of racists.

He is on the side of hate.

That is what he wants to spread across the United States.

Furthermore, it also issued a warning to special prosecutor Bob Muller, and basically said,

"Whoever you prosecute of my team, I'm going to pardon them, and there's nothing you can

do about it."

That is why, of the special investigation going on of the persons of interest, the main

one, the first one that Muller needs to take down is Donald Trump himself.

He cannot be trusted to lead.

He is abusing his power left and right.

He is pardoning white supremacists and people who have no respect for the Constitution.

This man, Donald Trump, is unfit to lead this country.

BREAKING - Trump: Hands-on with hurricane recovery | Top Stories Today - Duration: 2:11.

President Trump on Sunday afternoon held a second Cabinet meeting on Hurricane Harvey

to shore up response and recovery efforts, according to the White House.

Trump along with Vice President Pence led a video teleconference with Cabinet and senior

administration officials "to discuss ongoing federal support for Hurricane Harvey response

and recovery," the White House press office said in a statement.

Trump will also visit affected areas in Texas on Tuesday, according to the White House.

The storm has hammered Texas since Friday, when it first made landfall as a Category

4 hurricane.

The federal government has 5,000 people on site in Texas and Louisiana, where the storm

continues to bring torrential rain and flooding.

Trump, who spent Sunday morning praising the federal government's response to Harvey

in a series of tweets, "continued to stress his expectation that all departments and agencies

stay fully committed to supporting the Governors of Texas and Louisiana and his number one

priority of saving lives," the statement reads.

Vice President Mike Pence in a tweet on Sunday emphasized the White House statement that

Trump's top priority is saving lives.

"POTUS stressed all depts & agencies stay committed to supporting Govs of Texas & Louisiana

& his number one priority of saving lives," Pence wrote on Twitter, including a readout

of the teleconference the two held earlier.

The statement adds that Trump "reminded everyone that search and rescue efforts will

transition to mass care, restoring power, providing life-sustaining necessities for

the population that sheltered in place, and economic recovery."

He also "urged survivors impacted by the storm to continue to heed the instructions

of their State and local officials."

At least five deaths from the storm have been reported.

The director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency said recovery efforts would take years.

This is "probably the worst disaster the state's seen," Brock Long told The Washington Post

of Texas.

WikiLeaks' Julian Assange Releases Video America Needs To See… Trump Was Right - Duration: 10:37.

WikiLeaks' Julian Assange Releases Video America Needs To See… Trump Was Right

Leader of WikiLeaks Julian Assange is sharing some facts about Hillary Clinton once again.

Clearly we already know Hillary is corrupt, but this may take the cake.

In the interview below Assange discusses how one email in all of Hillary's emails stand

out above the rest.

He shares that "All serious analysts know, and even the US government has agreed, that

some Saudi figures have been supporting ISIS and funding ISIS, but the dodge has always

been that it is some "rogue" princes using their oil money to do whatever they like,

but actually the government disapproves."

However this Hillary Clinton email says that it's not just a rogue prince, but the actual

governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

When asked more details about the relations between Hillary and these governments Assange

shares a startling discovery.

These governments are funding the Clinton Foundation, buying arms from the U.S. AND

funding ISIS and ISIL.

He shares "Under Hillary Clinton – and the Clinton emails reveal a significant discussion

of it – the biggest-ever arms deal in the world was made with Saudi Arabia: more than

$80 billion.

During her tenure, the total arms exports from the US doubled in dollar value."

She's even more wrapped up in criminal activities than we originally thought and using the U.S.

to arm

the enemy.
