But what are we doing as a church?
I mean mark how would you characterize the the influence of the church in America today?
And where do you think we as a body are going from here?
the influence of the church today is
Church as most people know it as is very limited right now is the influence of the remnant the army of God?
That's that's what's where the influence is that for the power and authority of that?
Where it's going is going to go more towards the limit towards the army of God?
That's why you're saying is mass exodus on the church people are tired of what's going on in the churches
So that's what's going to bolster, or I think in the days ahead
It's going to be the army of God the remnant
So we get a kind of a negative message from some in the church the the fire and Brimstone, but then you've also got some
Preachers who have a very happy message, but one that people can see doesn't track with
reality high regress hyper Grace or you know God wants you to be happy healthy wealthy and wise and if you if you say
The right prayer believe the right thing you're going to be blessed in all facets of your life
And I think anybody who's lived a while knows that we encounter tribulation, Jesus promised
We'd encounter tribulation, but he's also given us the power of the holy spirit to overcome that tribulation. I mean Mary
Why why do we not see that why do we not get that in the church these days I?
believe you know what happens is we kind of just follow suit to what you're trained to do and
you just you know it's very easy, you're
It's just like with the muslims. You know
They're the children don't believe what they believe
because they personally have a belief they do it because mom and dad believed it and
So a lot of things that we do within the church
we just do it because mom and dad did it like with the you talk to people with a democratic party or
Republican whatever, why are you a democrat? Well my mom and dad
Grandpa and Grandpa, and you know why are you filling the name denomination here, right?
and it we really it's easy to just fall into
instead of
Challenging yourself to thanking why do you think the way you think?
and why do you believe the way you believe in what you believe and what is the
Basis of what you believe it was interesting. I saw an interview with Ted Bundy. Just before he was
Put in the chair and that would really shook me seeing this interview with him because he said in his interview that

What happened to you today, because well my mom and Dad were Christians, but they did a real poor job

And that rattled me because I thought what has happened
To the real gospel of Jesus Christ in this country it has gotten lost somewhere
has gotten lost got watered down it's it's been draped in all kinds of
clothing that doesn't look anything like the gospel was meant to be and
It's a it's a sore distraction from the real thing
It's become a real distraction from the real thing and I think that's what happens you just get in that Mindset mom
Did it dad did it you know her just want that standardized teaching and so they come up with a certain formula on certain?
Doctrines and then they standardize it across all the churches so that I really don't have to think about it
We've got this formula here
If I follow these steps then okay, you can be a book you can be a member of the church right now
I've got some friends now. Who are
Into they are part of an apologetics ministry right teaching the gospel and the reasons why we believe?
and they said you know this is the sad truth, but our churches right now are filled with unbelievers because they think
They're Christians, but they don't know what they don't know right boy. If that is ever the truth now
We are not saying that you shouldn't have pastors right. We are not saying you shouldn't have evangelists
we're not saying that you shouldn't have
Prophets, we're not saying that those things are not important to be positioned within the church pastors are very important
They work they have a very
Needful and a very important role, but what has happened is that?
pastors have made themselves up to be the authority of
Whatever is going to be heard and taught, and they're the filter now of the whole this body of believers
And they have almost set themselves up is a little mini
God in the church instead of a pastor if anybody comes in that is more anointed or more powerful
They never come back
We even saw this back in the first century though the arguments
It's like well some follow apollo some follow Paul some follow up. You know and Paul was like look
I don't care. It's got to get back to the gospel. Yes
Yes, well done in your book radicals you argue that the church which has built up these
rules these these
Denominational standards we in a sense they've almost calcified. You know we've got this plaque in the arteries of the body of Christ
What is your thought?
In the book and what did James think?
Needed to be done in order to kind of break those down and get back to the original message
Jane well, he did. He did a lot of talking about taming the time and
Not per you know not treating the rich man versus the poor man in the vile raiment
with any kind of a
Prejudice. I mean he did what a lot of people would have seen in that culture as a very radical thing to do Jesus well
I mean James was a radical
Jesus Christ was a radical. Yeah
Very anti-establishment. I mean the the
Messiah that they had been waiting for so long to arrive you know this man
Who's going to come in and take down all of rome?
I mean
Jesus was everything he went straight in the face of the pharisees and said this is not
What I represent
And then James came alongside and said hang your tongues
Stop treating the rich man better than the poor man stop

And that's it basically you gentiles all this other stuff our fathers couldn't handle it. We're not going to put that yoke on you either

like a shadow government in a sense, that's a good good way of
What I'm thinking of that has happened over the church
There's a lot of pastors leaving the ministry at a tremendous rate, and you have to ask yourself
why would that be happening and it's the
People or it's like a babysitter. I talked to one guy at left the minister goes. I was tired of being a babysitter
I'm not a babysitter, and he goes just like you know they just don't want to grow up
they don't want to mature they they just want to come and get their 30-minute fixed and leave and
And that's basically I feel like what's kind of happened, when they're Christians
I've heard it described as where we're making these Christians
But we're instead of but the Christians and being discipled and do mature adult Christians. We've got
pews congregations filled with infants babies, that's exactly I
Well, I know we want to talk about
strategy and tactics of the church moving forward to try to take ground in this cultural war that we're fighting but
