Melania Trump, originally from Slovenia, sponsored her parents so they could obtain a green card before applying for U

S. citizenship. The first lady herself was granted citizenship in 2006.  "It went well and they are very grateful and appreciative of this wonderful day for their family," the Knavs' lawyer, Michael Wildes, said in a statement

 When the Times asked Wildes if the Knavs obtained their citizenship through family-based immigration ― often pejoratively referred to as "chain migration" ― Wildes was vague

 "I suppose," he told the publication. "It's a dirty ― a dirtier word. It stands for a bedrock of our immigration process when it comes to family reunification

"  The idea that family-based immigration could be labeled as "dirty" might have a lot to do with the Knavs' son-in-law

In November, Trump railed against the process on Twitter.  "CHAIN MIGRATION must end now!" he tweeted

His ancestors followed family members to the U.S., his Miss Universe business attracted top candidates by agreeing to help obtain green cards or work authorization for their families, and his parents-in-law are likely citizens because of it

"And when they find talent, they generally want to negotiate family members to make sure their lives are more robust and meaningful

counties in this nation that have more registered voters than legal residents

of voting age so clearly there's a problem in this idea that there aren't

organized efforts paid for by George Soros to go out and manipulate those

exploitation that's just inconsistent with what I

millions of dollars to pursue an election system that would be the envy

But President Trump understands that ten red state Democrats are running for re-election

in November and Trump's immigration policies are popular in those states.

The pressure is on those Democrats because they can either alienate their base – which

is not big enough to win – or appeal to the broader, more Republican electorate.

And cracks are already showing in the Democrats usually solid opposition.

Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly, maybe the most endangered Democrat Senator running for re-election,

made a surprise announcement about the upcoming border wall funding fight.

In an exclusive interview, Donnelly told Politico he was willing to side with Donald Trump and

vote for border wall funding in September.

COMMITTEE HAS BEEN PREPARING TO SEND HIM.

TRUMP HAS REPEATEDLY THREATENED TO SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE

ELECTION WITHOUT A SIGNIFICANT INFUSION OF MONEY TO FULFILL HIS SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN PROMISE,

OFTEN TELLING LAWMAKERS HE WANTS $5 BILLION IN THE SEPTEMBER SPENDING BILL.

Republicans are going to need at least nine Democrats to flip their votes to win passage

of border wall funding.

And while the fake news media's conventional wisdom is that this is a bad fight for the

GOP, the reality is the exact opposite.

Immigration fires up the GOP base.

Red state Democrats know that siding with coastal liberals like Chuck Schumer on immigration

will alienate their constituents in Middle America and sign their own political death

warrant.

Donnelly may be the first Democrat to fold a losing hand and join Trump in supporting

border wall funding.

Or he could be the only Democrat Senator who jumps ship.

But one thing is for certain – Donald Trump has the advantage in this fight and the pressure

Wehner has been working behind the scenes with his "Never Trump" allies like Bill

Kristol to shut down the President for a long time.

But Trump is just one person on his long list of conservatives that he's been targeting

for many years.

Throughout former President Obama's presidency, Wehner used every opportunity he could find

to bash conservatives in the Tea Party.

Wehner will attack any movement or person that is a threat to his neo-conservative and

crony capitalist agenda.

It was people like Peter Wehner who perverted the Republican brand of the Reagan-era and

Omarosa Manigault Secretly Recorded Donald Trump and Played Tape for Others: Report - News Today - Duration: 3:38.

 President Donald Trump's former aide and confidant Omarosa Manigault Newman allegedly secretly recorded conversations she had with the president in the West Wing — and she's played the tapes for others, The Daily Beast reports

 An unnamed source told The Daily Beast that they had listened to least one of Manigault Newman's recordings featuring Trump, and multiple sources familiar with the tapes told the outlet that it appears to be Trump's voice on the recordings

The sources described the conversations they heard as inoffensive and commonplace

 The news of the "Omarosa tapes" comes as Manigault Newman prepares to release her "tell-all" book, Unhinged, on Aug

14.  A spokesperson for Simon & Schuster, the book's publisher, declined to tell the Daily Beast whether the recordings exist

"Without commenting on the specific contents of UNHINGED," the spokesperson said, "we are confident that Omarosa Manigault-Newman can substantiate her highly anticipated account of life inside the Trump White House

"  Neither The White House nor Manigault Newman immediately responded to PEOPLE's requests for comment

 Manigualt Newman, who previously starred on Trump's reality TV show The Apprentice, left her role as communications director for the White House Office of Public Liaison in January 2017 — and it is unclear whether her departure was voluntary

At the time, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement saying that Manigualt Newman had resigned, but in February, White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah said that she had been fired

Manigault Newman denies that claim.  Trump commented on the matter at the time, tweeting, "Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success

"  Manigault Newman's secret recordings may come as a surprise to Trump, who once called his former aide "a loyal friend!"  After leaving the White House, the longtime Trump ally joined the reality show Celebrity Big Brother, where she revealed in February that she would never vote for Trump again "in a million years

"  Manigault Newman's alleged tapes follow a scandal that broke less than a month ago in which Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, released a secretly taped conversation he'd had with Trump

In the recording, the two men appear to be discussing a payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal, who claims she had an affair with Trump in 2006
