Trump news on Youtube Aug 18 2018

what else are you hearing from sources close to the defense

Sandra these sources say that the mana port side believes they are in the game

now that the jury is asking questions about what reasonable doubt means and

that is the only question out of four they asked late yesterday that the judge

gave a detailed answer to the judge brought the jurors in and he said this

the government is not required to prove the defendant guilty beyond all possible

doubt but beyond all reasonable doubt the jury also asked for help

understanding two terms they heard dozens if not hundreds of times from the

mauler team shelf companies and F barbed short for foreign bank account reports

the judge said the jurors have to rely on their memory to figure those out this

judge also denied a request from the jury for help organizing the exhibits by

count because there are 18 counts and thousands of pages of evidence one of

the things the judge chided the mauler team four throughout the arguments was

the amount of evidence that he seemed to suggest was sometimes overkill and now

he is leaving it up to the jury to figure out how to digest it remember

last week when the judge gave the jury an unusual set of instructions and then

there was a several hours long delay there was speculation that there might

be a problem with the juror but now it seems like the only problem for the jury

is all the evidence and trying to figure out how to get through it yes so all of

this gets underway about 25 minutes from now Peter do we know yet if jurors plan

to explain their deliberations once this is all done

the judge said they can't stop anybody from talking to the press but that he

wants the deliberation process to remain sacred because if it doesn't whatever

the jurors tell reporters about what's happening in the room right now is quote

grist for the media mill Sandra Teeter do see a lot of activity expected there

today thank you very much thank you Peter meanwhile President Trump said

take off for New York in about 90 minutes from now as he weighs a decision

to revoke the possibility of more security clearances for Obama era

officials now 12 former senior Intel fischels releasing a statement late

yesterday slamming the move as he'll considered in unprecedented Jeff Mason

White House correspondent for Reuters from the Northland how are you doing

Jeff good morning to you morning bill who is next if anyone's

next well that's the question that he did what was senator Sanders when she

read the president's statement just a couple days ago revoking the clearance

for John Brennan mentioned a whole list of other people who he was considering

among them Susan Rice President Obama's former national security adviser and the

former DNI for Obama James clapper are both of whom along with the others on

that list have been big critics of President Trump well here is part of

that letter on-screen as individuals who have cherished and who preserve the

right of Americans to free speech even when that ride has been used to

criticize us that signal is inappropriate and deeply regrettable

decisions on security clearances should be based on national security concerns

and not political views David Petraeus is one of the many who signed that you

can make a case that John Brennan's been the biggest critic of this

administration he's on TV almost every day and what the White House would argue

is that you can go ahead and talk but your access to the information will be

no longer what did Sarah Stander's tell you about that well and I asked her

about that when she made that announcement on Wednesday I asked if

this was something that would could be sitt considered or construed as an

effort to block free speech and she said no the president has a constitutional

right to protect the access to the classified information and

that's what he was doing was exercising that right however the the note that you

mentioned at the top of this segment signed by people including Petraeus who

was someone who president Trump considered as a potential candidate for

Secretary of State says look you don't have to like what they say but you

shouldn't be taking action to strip their security clearance just because

you don't agree with their criticism you know there might be another way of

looking at this let's turn it around 180 degrees Eli Lake Bloomberg News here's

the headline Trump is not trying to silence Brennan that's the headline all

right the president's strategy is the opposite to make the former CIA director

more prominent and use him as a foil in other words you make Brennan the face of

the resistance is that what's going on here well I read that and I think it's

an interesting take look the President does like to have a foil he has often

used the media as a foil and the democratic party he's used Maxine Waters

is a foil he certainly elevated her by continuing to talk about her and rallies

and on Twitter certainly Nancy Pelosi as well so it's possible though that's part

of this strategy it is it would not be unprecedented for him to choose somebody

who he thinks will rile up the base by by elevating him or her and and extra

emphasizing what he or she has said that has been critical of the president do

you know of any moves expected for today well as you said before the president is

traveling today and so we'll be watching it we'll be watching that trip and also

just watching to see whether and when he makes another decision to strip other

people of these security clearances I don't think this story is going away

Jeff Mason thank you for your time from the North Lawn later at the White House

thank you sir Sandra busy morning there we'll keep this conversation going with

today's headliner White House deputy press secretary

Hogan giggly he will join us live at the top of the ten o'clock hour about 50

minutes from now down look forward to that yeah right we've got a long list of

things to talk about right our list is long has not slowed down on President

Trump up and tweeting still slamming Governor Andrew Cuomo over this comment

from this week we're not gonna make America great again

it was never that great well about an hour from now the president comes here

to the empire state of New York and congressman Lee Zeldin will be there to

greet him his reaction coming up on that in a moment also the search for a

missing mother and her two daughters may now be over following a disturbing

discovery yesterday also president Trump's Veterans Day military parade

apparently it's on hold for now when it could finally happen as defense

secretary James Madison disputes the claims about that big fat price tag

listen Ellen's got it made the final decision Dillon plan I whoever told you

that is probably smoking something that's legal in my state but not most

okay what do you think about Jim mattis this response I think he said someone

smoking something somewhere he apparently mattes their meantime

president Trump said to take off on the White House about an hour from now amid

his budding feud with the state's Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo the two

going back and forth after Cuomo took a swipe at the president during a speech

this week New York's Republican Party weighed in tweeting a picture of a bus

ticket saying taxpayers chipped in to buy Cuomo a $55 one-way bus ticket to

Canada offed a month free all he goes to Springer New York congressman Lee Zeldin

sir good morning to you tongue-in-cheek there a little bit of humor good morning

here is what the governor said two days ago listen here we'll get your reaction

we're not gonna make America great again it was never that great but we heard the

reaction with a grab with your reaction sir America is the greatest most

exceptional nation in the history of this world I could think of all

different kinds of reasons why over the course of time from the founding of our

country the putting a man on the moon the liberation of Jews from

concentration camps the advancements of science and medicine we have the

greatest military in the world the largest economy and the freedoms and

liberties that make people come to our country poring over our borders trying

to get here to live and be part of what is American greatness and pursue the

American dream for this Gov dime een I'll take you would have to torture me

to get me to say what this governor said and he said it so easily I would say

this there's a lot of hypocrisy out there of people who always like to take

president Trump's words and cast them in the worst possible light who are now

tripping over themselves saying what he meant to say well let's just take what

he said literally and the reality that that his reaction afterwards wasn't to

clarify his own remarks he actually doubled down and went on offense and

made some ridiculous comment about how you know Donald Trump wants America to

beat great with the KKK like it's it's insane and this guy is a governor who

wants to be President but I think he wants to be president of the wrong

country because we're not electing him he's running for re-election guys skip

forward once to get the Cuomo tweet here's what you're

- okay then I'll show you the tweet from the west wing I have real Donald Trump

he said what you say would be great again would not be great at all we would

not go back to discrimination segregation sexism isolation racism of

the KKK that's what you're referring to here's what the president said he said

how does a politician cuomo known for pushing people and businesses out of the

state not to mention having the highest taxes in the u.s. survive making the

statement we're not going to make America great again it was never that

great which section of the sentence is worse you pick it there's you know I had

nothing wrong with that what Donald Trump will president Trump is saying is

absolutely true because up in Albany Andrew Cuomo feels like his work is done

here as far as making our government operate more efficiently with our taxes

our spending we spent over 1 billion dollars a week just on Medicaid alone

and you're what you're seeing now with people leaving our state go to North

Carolina South Carolina and Florida and we need people who are representing us

I'm in New York are representing us up in Albany who feel like that their work

if their toughest work is still ahead to make our state operate more efficiently

to improve the business climate to make easier for young families to start their

families here to make it easier for families seniors to be able to afford to

stay for Andrew Cuomo to instead of using that opportunity with a clarifying

tweet to say on his own what he meant to say instead he goes on offense no one is

saying that we should make America great again by you know ridiculousness with

like supporting the KKK that's insane and what we want to do is continue to

see our economy improve right now we're seeing that there are more available

jobs than people to fill them unemployment at historic lows markets

and 401ks at historic highs the president's coming to my district here

in an hour - I'm looking forward to seeing him and saying thank you for all

of your help to defeat ms-13 to help grow our economy to better secure our

borders to strengthen our military improve our foreign policy and to make

countries respect us again adversaries understanding that they do not respect

weakness they only respect strength so I'm looking forward for the president

coming to my district you're ready for the hundreds we'll see

what happens at Cuomo's reelection based on this this comment here but you

mentioned it you gave a long pitch there your message to the president's pretty

obvious how is the economy doing in your district you've got a reelection in less

than three months and about twenty seconds on that got a roll I lived in

Suffolk County our unemployment rates are hitting historic lows in our home

county so we're seeing it all across the country we're feeling good there's more

work to do but but we want to work together across party lines to try to

get further progress and and fight past this obstruction those who want to

impeach oppose obstruct that's not the path forward the best path forward for

America the LEAs Eldon the Republican from New York is coming your way we'll

follow it today in about an hour's time thank you sir for being here

well speaking Yankee bill Nagai 20 minutes passing well the Trump team

praise in the US economy predicting we are on the cusp of another boom the

single biggest story this year is an economic boom

that is durable and lasting and that most people thought was impossible so is

the latest pick up in US economic growth headed for boom or bust art Laffer has a

take on that he's here to weigh in look just looking forward to that also these

firefighters capturing one of the rarest weather phenomenons you will ever see

it's called a fire tornado details on what turned out to be a deadly blaze in

a moment okay everyone

MORE THAN 300 NEWSPAPERS JOIN NATIONWIDE EDITORIAL RESPONSE TO TRUMP'S MEDIA ATTACKS - Duration: 12:11.

Williams Jesse Watters and a pillowcases her parachute dana perino the five

today 300 newspapers coordinated articles criticizing President Trump

just after he'd accused them of coordinating articles criticizing

President Trump and nobody read them if jerks like me weren't talking about it

would you even know yes another public display of the press exercising their

right to irrelevance remember when the New York Times ran an editorial saying

you should vote for Hillary and the rest of the media followed now they say

Trump's blocking free speech as they all screamed this in unison Trump accuses

them of groupthink and they respond with groupthink now since the election the

media's been one malfunctioning car alarm loud relentless and broken this

after sleeping through Obama's terms ignoring Iran the DOJ the IRS

immigration while dreaming of Hillary and now he's gone their dreams are

shattered and now they're wide awake because Trump is their red bull what

phonies they gave Trump endless air time while wringing their hands thinking it

was okay because Hillary had it in the pantsuit but the palooka you propped up

wasn't the empty can you thought he was while mocking Trump non-stop people

stopped caring about what you thought that red bull gored your butt and now

all you can do is blame him for what you helped do and they say

Trump targets all news not fake news which is fake news they ignored the

clarifications that are obvious to us no surprise remember when one of us would

criticize Obama or Hillary we'd be called a bigot I remember that like it

was yesterday probably because it was you sought to silence opinion through

fear and smear and now you pretend you're the victim you're not oppressed

just depressed get over it all right Jedidiah welcome back to the show I know

you were in Italy I hear this wonderful place that was your honeymoon was enough

gelato for all of us I don't see it anywhere Jenny Diane it was delicious

fantastic so a lot oh but I made it back it's a press speaking truth to power or

are they just whining to each other they're so nauseating this is why people

can't stand the media it's like they say oh we had to write

to remind people of the important role that journalists play if you have to

write an editorial to remind people of the important role maybe you're doing

something wrong there might be a problem I just think it's so funny because he he

doesn't criticize freedom of the press he's not attacking freedom of the press

he's it's backing journalists who make it their job to every day go out and

with bated breath wait for something to criticize about him and it's not it's

not about Donald Trump they've been doing this too they did it

to george w bush they did it to Dick Cheney they did it to Sarah Palin the

problem is now they have a guy that calls them out and they don't know what

to do about it and it's so crazy to me that what you said before the

collectivist mentality he's out there saying you guys are all against me you

guys are on a mission to take me out and they in response are saying let's all

group together and collectively tell him no we're important that's the point you

are making his point thank you journalists again for making

his point and once again he's not I've seen him pay homage to many journalists

he doesn't make a sweep he's tired and people out there are saying yeah you

know what he's tired of it he's speaking out we wish other people before him

would have spoken out and when he says stuff like the presses you know the

enemy and people are at home saying you know what we've been waiting for someone

to call this out for so long thank you for saying that it's not the press at

large but when you're out there saying I'm an objective journalist and you're

not and you're making it your job every day to take down the guy in the White

House somebody should call you out and I thanked him for doing that

this is ridiculous but I you know I mean to me when he calls the American press

enemy of the American people he never said it now he said these wonderful blue

eyes the enemy of the American people he has threatened even to change the libel

laws we've gone away from briefings at the White House and you know what I

think are appropriate for the editorial sections of these newspapers not the

news section it was the editorials to say you know what we're not the American

of the American people we are the American people the American

people in fact America is founded on the idea of a free vigorous press nobody's

had that well hang on drop is adamant purpose of the press is to be an

adversary to people in power and hold them accountable actually to a guy who

lies and lies and yourself what's the big deal yesterday in talking about John

Brennan revoking the security easkey says oh this was all about protecting

national intelligence and then he turns around tells The Wall Street Journal

which didn't run this editorial by the way The Wall Street Journal's them oh

yeah that was about the Russia investigation because he's one of the

guys who started so somebody's got to be a watchdog and called Trump on his lies

and yet you guys want a city like Britain and they tell you the danger

this over half of Republicans listening to this now say they agree with Trump

and guess what okay it invites the threat this is what one of the papers

said invites the threat of violence against people doing their job which is

to report the news the violence against what you mean when auntie Fah went after

that reporter Jessie yes I am amazed that now we're demanding that all of our

politicians tell the truth that's incredible to me because your health

care yeah and no one called him out on that oh no position against Barack Obama

they loved Barack Obama Obama joked about it the White House Correspondents

in her oh you guys are my base and everybody laughed and was drinking

champagne stop pretending like they were tough on Obama

they weren't they'd have a lot more credibility if every administration that

came around they were this adversarial but they don't and they're not that's

the problem because Donald Trump has exposed them as dishonest Democrat party

hats let's give the media right now or extensions of the Democratic Party back

they give him no credit like for anything good he does and deny him all

credit for anything he does that's everything is framed as something he's

done as evil is wrong as backwards and he's not given a fair shake so when he

says we you guys are the enemy of the people what he's saying is you guys are

didn't I'm the truth to the American people

you're feeding them spin you're fitting them dishonest propaganda to help the

Democratic Party you're not shooting straight well and why they get that so

upset is because their credibility rests upon the fact that they pretend to be

independent and when he says you're not independent and you're lying about that

they can't handle it they can dish it out but they can't take the only thing

the king wants is somebody who will adore him who will honor him Donald

what's the most enchanting thing about this for a second together America

number one talk show in America rush limbaugh so easy on Obama number one

newspaper in America Wall Street Journal so easy on Obama number one cable

network in America Fox News so easy slow this thing down everybody like get to

the happy place Dana I am convinced that when the three hundred papers did this

it reached at least three hundred editors because I swear no one would

know about this if I hadn't I'll be slightly contrarian oh no you know I

love the meat I love news I love journalism I feel like I'm adult enough

mature enough to be able to identify when somebody at a certain other Network

stands up and makes the story about himself versus something that is amazing

like there's some great journalism being done in Long formats at in new formats

like on podcast there's a really good stuff that else a lot of it doesn't have

anything to do with President Trump there's a lot of good stuff out there

and let a thousand flowers bloom the First Amendment is includes the freedom

of the press for a reason I believe in the Constitution I think our founding

fathers understood that as we've all been saying the adversarial relationship

is going to be there but it is the most important thing I don't mind if they did

the editorials it's fine it may be it doesn't have that much of an effect

except for maybe to get us riled up and but also he has gone after the media

it's pretty viciously sometimes deservedly but you know he likes to call

himself a counter-puncher what other people can be counter punchers - and if

they can counter punch with an editorial so be it I have to accept that it was a

counter punch by mob they did it together and they all sound the same he

goes it just makes him look better because he's lone and I still maintain

he's talking about fake news not the whole news can we just run what you want

an example one of the media and how they feel about Trump and how they're in

collusion with the Democratic Party John Heilemann take it away describe Trump I

would like a pollster to test this question how many people in the

Republican Party think that it would be okay for Donald Trump to dissolve their

own grandparents I'm virtually certain that if it was a Donald Trump related

question you get like 10% that would be like Donald Trump has the power due

every once in cluding killed my parents okay that's totally sane Jedidiah

the thing is when the vast majority of the media is opposed to one side on a

pretty consistent basis own it I feel like they should own it when people who

are saying that their objective journalists are repeatedly taking one

side over another that's a problem that is the responsibility of any person with

a brain and a thinking person to come out and say this is not a fair and

balanced media that doesn't mean there aren't good journalists that doesn't

mean that journalists aren't supposed to be watchdogs and that doesn't mean that

everyone in the press is terrible but there is an inherent consistent

motivated agenda driven bias in much of the media it's incumbent upon people to

call out a technology you have to admit that no I don't any by the way the

example the good the example the Greg gave us of John Heilemann John helm is

not there as a journalist he's there as a commentator and he's offering his

opinion in much the way that we do at this table we have never said anything

like that no Bob would kill your parents at the chair I won't tell you what we've

said about this network about Obama's well let's not get quick did they have

any balance on that panel by the way I don't

not what the editor was about the editorial is about protecting the idea

that reporters can go out and do their job report the news and they're not

they're not the enemy of the American pair that was just one giant tantrum

that's all it was we they've been calling Trump the enemy of minorities of

the Constitution for the last year and half

so Trump that hits back and says no you're the enemy of the American people

and they say oh all right I thought that was quite all right coming up president

Trump hammers New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for saying that America was never

quote, don't cross me.

And joining us from New York as

well, Christina Greer.

My thanks to all, colonel, I

begin with you, Donald Trump

does things people don't like,

that's fine, it's a free

country.

Why has this gone beyond

something people don't like and

how it's dangerous?

>> It's not America.

This is not how we do things.

It's banana republic behavior an

insult to those.

In the United States of America,

we close ranks when it comes to

national security.

And it's not merely a matter of

keeping these people -- giving

them continued security

clearances so that they can give

us advice.

But in the case of a national

catastrophe, and a nuclear

attack on Washington, you've

also got this "B" team ready to

help out.

It goes on and on.

But the bottom line is this,

we've gotten to the point where

the only thing we're worried

about is, is it illegal?

It's not illegal.

The president can do this.

But it's profoundly unethical

and morally wrong.

While a government has never

way to hire try it for free today at zip recruiter comm slash Fox and we are

awaiting an opportunity to show you the president's remarks as they are being

gathered right now by a pool of reporters the president has mentioned as

he meets with his cabinet today that the Parkland shooting was the anniversary

was yesterday he's talking about school shootings and mentioned some reforms and

the administration has taken in response he's also talking about strengthening

mental health laws and procedures just giving you some notes that are coming

out of there and of course we saw upwards of 300 editorial boards

gathering with newspapers across the country today to write pro journalism

editorials and the president just told reporters quote if you'd like you can

stay if you'd like you can leave freedom of the press I so a little bit of the

color in the room there at the White House but they are hitting these topics

and might even be talking at some point if asked about the security clearance

revocation of CIA director John Brennan Lisa all right and another Fox News

Alert a verdict could come at any moment the jury now deliberating in the bank

fraud trial a former Trump campaign Chairman Paul Manafort prosecutors tell

the jurors the evidence is overwhelming but the defense slamming Robert Muller's

team's star witness manna forts former right-hand man Rick gates painting him

as a liar Peter Doocy is live at the federal courthouse in Alexandria

Virginia with all of the latest Peter Lisa the jury this morning at the judge

for a sort of change of venue they thought the jury room was too small to

deliberate so they asked if they could do it in the break room instead the

judge said that they could and that is where they are right now this is the

first day of deliberations and the judge TS Ellis wanted to make sure that the

six men and six women from Northern Virginia are focused more on the

evidence than on the sometimes salty comments he made to the Muller team

about their approach their witnesses and their evidence so the judge told the

jury since you're the sole and exclusive judges of the facts in this case you

should not construe any comments the court may have made

on any question or any questions to court may have asked witnesses as

expressing an opinion on the evidence the Muller team conceded in their

closing argument that their star witness palm Ana ports former business partner

Rick Gates might have some credibility problems prosecutor Greg Andres told

jurors they don't need to trust every word Gates said but they should put it

into context with the rest of the evidence and Andres run the Millar team

stressed that quote ladies and gentlemen the star witness is in this case is the

documents the man afford defense team meanwhile thinks they have wedged enough

doubt into the Muller team's case that jurors can't convict Richard Wessling

from the mana 4 team says quote the Constitution guarantees each and every

American that's charged with an offense the right to put the government to its

burden and it's your job to ensure that burden has been met there was a funny

moment in the court this morning that I actually had Paul Manafort laughing

after the jury wasn't paneled and they left the courtroom the judge TSL is

asked from the bench if mr. Trump was there and people gasped and everybody

was looking around the room as it turns out there's a prosecutor named mr. Trump

who was there for the next case back to you in New York

thank you Peter appreciate it and thanks for reporting on this Thanks all right

well fine as the jury deliberates what does a conviction mean for the

president nothing look at the charges they're bank fraud their failure to pay

your taxes failure register with the government properly I think if he's

found a violation that's you know something that he's clearly done wrong

and the justice is being served but has nothing to do with the president at all

I mean there's in fact judge Ellis has made it very clear that any allusion to

the president is out of bounds because none of the charges have anything to do

with them and I think that it kind of gets back to that to the underlying

point here which is that clearly he's get it going after all of these outside

of the area charges against manna for because he wants him to flip or to give

information exchange for some kind of conviction

sentencing to get the bigger fish in this case what he believes is the

president Wow so Maria Alice key the flipside that if man affords acquitted

what does that mean for the Mahler investigation well I'm not sure we can

draw a lot of you know lessons for the broader Muller investigation but is it a

blow to his ability to to bring charges I don't think so he's already brought

dozens of charges against both Americans and Russians on a whole host of issues

and we do know that people like Mike Flynn are cooperating and so we'll see

what else Rick Gates gave them as well he's cooperating probably just beyond

metaphor I think that Paul manna fors team really took an interesting tactic

to not bring any witnesses of their own they did not get a plea agreement mana

force seems to think he can beat this but he is facing hundreds of years in

jail time if he's convicted and I will say to Sean you know the president says

he hires the best people we've all known Nana for played a little fast and loose

and he brought him to run the campaign and well this isn't a surprising outcome

for a lot of people who've known Paul mana for I think look I wrote all about

this in my book that that man afford at the time we were heading into a

convention in Cleveland where there was this never Trump effort afoot to put a

new candidate on the ballot to release the delegates all this stuff man afford

going back to the Ford administration had done convert the last brokered

convention he is but he was brought in for a specific reason on a very specific

task to be a delegate counter at the convention at what could be potentially

an effort to undo the Doggett's to change the rules he had done dole Ford

Reagan I mean this is a guy who you can claim all these other business issues

about him or tax issues but when it came to understanding the delegate math and

brokered convention system this was the right guy Sean you know I've been asking

this question why didn't the FBI give the campaign a heads up if they were

looking at Paul Manafort you know they gave Hillary Clinton a heads up when

looking at things with with what was going on behind the scenes with her but

they didn't do the same Lindsey Graham Senator Lindsey Graham is saying and

he's writing a letter to Christopher ray this week the the current FBI director

why was there a difference I don't know I mean have helped I think

that I'm not familiar with what standard FBI procedure is in a criminal

investigation or I mean at that point maybe they didn't know I have a theory

got a correlation in just a theory but before the convention we weren't hearing

a lot about Russian pollution or Russian influence so if you look at the charges

Paul Manafort is up against today with the jury they have nothing to do with

being influenced by Russians from a political perspective or from being used

for espionage resources he's up against charges that have him operating on a

business level and not reporting taxes and being corrupt in that fashion so

maybe the FBI saw it as irrelevant to the campaign because it actually had

nothing to do with the campaign and everything to do and it doesn't which is

why the judge wouldn't let it enter it into the courtroom yeah let it be

entered into the courtroom it's it's an interesting kind of look at how things

were going on back then because you're talking about Paul man affords you know

resume coming in and he would be a guy that you would want right necessarily

for brutal convention he also had a history of representing dictators around

the world and yes he did a good job counting delegates but at some point

campaigns have to make decisions about who works for them again with all due

respect there are a number of people what about and so the the the thing

that's so fascinating Katie talks about this and mentioned this but back then

there was this idea that we weren't colluding with ourselves suddenly we win

and it's like that everyone wants to investigate every single person and

manufacture this whole idea of collusion up but at the time it was Hillary

Clinton that had taken money from the Russians Bill Clinton who had done deals

with with under rhenium so I mean if we're gonna bring up people I think one

of the things is missing in all of the context of this Russian investigation is

we still haven't figured out the other side of this what was going on with the

Clintons what was going on with the DLC well okay but up for every single thing

that's leaked out about this not once have we heard about somebody from the

Democratic side except for or I'm actually not sure of anybody actually

being investigated a question Tony Podesta leaving and we've got to get

going although I feel like this conversation could keep going for a

while okay go all right well a newspaper and

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is home state saying it's time for her to

give up her quest to become Speaker of the House again the paper calling it a

distraction and damaging to her party whether Pelosi will listen or not

plus the potential showdown between the president and robert muller

the big line in the sand now being drawn by one of the president's lead lawyers

and how this may end up before the Supreme Court stay tuned for all

well new developments and a potential showdown between the president and

robert muller special counsel Rudy Giuliani reportedly saying the

president's legal team is preparing to fight a potential subpoena from Muller

the former mayor and federal prosecutor telling the Washington Post quote we

would move to squash the subpoena and we're pretty much finished with our

memorandum opposing a subpoena Giuliani adding that trumps attorneys

are ready to argue it before the Supreme Court if it ever got there and Giuliana

reportedly expects veteran Washington lawyer Emmett flood to play a big role

in a legal flight flood joined the Trump legal team in May and he also served as

Bill Clinton's impeachment lawyer flood has reportedly cautioned the president

that a subpoena fight could be decided by the nation's highest court and that

would be unprecedented during the Clinton administration independent

counsel Kenneth Starr served President Bill Clinton with a subpoena but it was

withdrawn after Clinton agreed to testify so Sean Spicer where are we with

the subpoena fight yeah with all my I'm going to do an interview it's not gonna

do an interview and when is it gonna happen it's not gonna happen I'm not a

lawyer just to be clear but I think this is the posturing that you do ahead of

time you want to make it very clear what you will do what you won't do and you

lay that lay that groundwork out there so that's that's clearly with what Rudy

Giuliani is doing on behalf of the president's legal case is making sure

that he's publicly communicating to Muller we're willing to do this if

you're willing to give us this but all of this normally happens behind the

scenes I think there's a reason that publicly they're doing it the way they

are which is to make sure that people understand that they are willing to do

it but there are terms to do that and that it is being done in a way that

protects the president as any client would want you would never allow a

client to walk into something and just let it free you know free for all so I

think part of this is to make sure that people who even on both sides understand

why he's doing what he's doing or why he's not

so Lisa based on your background in public relations and communications is

can you pick up on what Sean said about this idea that the Trump team whether

it's his personal lawyers or the White House Counsel has been out front they've

actually been pretty successful about turning public opinion against the

Moller probe oh yeah and I think that was sort of the frustration yeah we've

seen it in polling of you know the tides shifting a little bit there and I do

think that depending on what happens with the mana for a case that could also

pack that as well if they're unsuccessful in bringing charges against

mana four people might sit back and say this is a big waste of time there I

think there's an increasing frustration with the time and the length of this

going on and the impact it's had on the president an ability for him to do his

job but I think the president the reason why there were changes in the legal team

is I think he was getting so sick and tired of the PR battle and feeling like

they weren't out there fighting it enough and all this really could be is

Giuliani and his team trying to get you know made more favorable concessions

with President Trump potentially sitting down we don't really know what the true

meaning is behind it so I will say that Murray brought up a moment ago how

man-of-war taking a big or his team is taking a big legal risk and I agree with

that I mean that by sort of resting your case without showing any witnesses

you're willing to to put a that's a pretty big game another one that being

said if he wins if mana forts successful I think from a purely PR and political

standpoint that's a huge blow to Muller I don't think it has anything to do with

the president either way but I think from a from a public standpoint you say

you went after this guy guns a-blazing you threw everything at the kitchen sink

Adam everyone flipped on them and you got nothing if mana fort is successful

by getting off of these charges I think that is publicly a big blow to to Muller

and his team because I think people starting Muller cares about the pide

relations I think he's like head head down doing the legal work and a subpoena

fight legally I don't know how that would turn out in the courts I don't

know how you can ignore it though yeah we have to go we got to move on thanks

guys or words now between New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and president

Trump after the top Democrats stunned an audience yesterday when he unleashed on

president Trump's make America great again slogan reaction from the couch

ahead yes we're not gonna make America great again

it was never that great

you

TRUMP DEFENDS PULLING OBAMA-ERA CIA DIRECTOR JOHN BRENNAN'S SECURITY CLEARANCE - Duration: 11:12.

as Hannity has explained many times on this show Paul Manafort trial has

nothing to do with Russian collusion joining us now with the reaction is the

author of why we fight Fox News national security strategist Sebastian Gorka

Judicial Watch president tom Fitton and former assistant US attorney Victoria

tensing or a good evening everyone I want to start with you Sebastian you

know this whole idea of security clearances I mean we all know that you

don't have a right to have a security clearance

you know Brennan is kicking and screaming that he's losing his First

Amendment rights as if he's going to stop talking and it really isn't

courtesy of professional courtesy so is this guy entitled to a courtesy of any

sort I don't care who the president is judged I don't care whether it's a

republic and I don't care whether it's a Democrat I don't care whether it's an

independent the fact is why should anybody who's left government service

maintain a clearance for the rest of their lives

the viewers should understand that if every security clearance the first

investigation just the first one costs you the taxpayer $25,000 and then we

expect Sebastian here's here's the argument that they make and and and

there's a way I understand it and that is there is institutional knowledge so

if a new head of the CIA comes in and and he says you know let me talk to

somebody who's done this before not that Mike Pompeo is gonna want to call

Brandon but but that is the argument you know whether it's a new DEA coming in or

a new CIA unit does that make sense though but no it doesn't even that one

doesn't make sense why what happens to John Brennan what happens to james

Woolsey if they leave the position of Director of CIA and they are read out of

the programs and they lose their clearance does their institutional

memory suddenly fall out of their ears of course it doesn't if if their advice

if their counsel is requested by their successor in this

administration I can guarantee you judge nobody wants to ask John Brennan's

advice because he voted for the Communists in 1976 and he's still doing

the work of Putin if they want to talk to him they can invite him back he can

sit in ask if he can tell you well back in 1980 whatever the clearance is

irrelevant to the question of institutional memory well and you know

tom Fitton that yeah I'll go to you whether you're fighting to get

information but let's stay on the top of the clearance hillary clinton exposed

classified secrets on her email and that's according to Jim Comey like an

open orkut according to that Romanian hacker gusoff ur so why is she still

walking around with her security clearance so why isn't she on that list

of wantons so that's that that's a good question

whether she has one or not is an open question frankly but you know the idea

of a courtesy national security clearance it tells you that's not about

national security it's it's about political rackets here in Washington DC

where these former officials keep their security clearances has a part to use as

part of their resume to increase their value to their next employers is nothing

to do with national security it's an indication of swamp politics the way

things work and it was a brilliant anti-corruption move by the President to

take on Brennan here and I hope he just he does go down the list and frankly we

should reform the whole system once you leave government we have no more need

for you not working for the government anymore you're not a contractor you lose

your national security clearance doesn't mean we don't appreciate the

prior service but we move on to protect the national security the next walking

around out in the street with no government business CEO of any

organization Tom doesn't get to go back into the company and check everything

they want to know about it once their time is up their time is up but Victoria

I mean if you've got if you've got these people who keep their clearance so

there's no question they're monetizing their the politicizing consultants

advisers lobbyists MS and them and CNN consultants or Talking Heads but

is there a sunset period where it automatically and I know you represent a

lot of these people who have clearances over the years

is there a sunset do you then fight to keep it judge why I am the only one on

this panel who has a clearance I have top secret clearances right this minute

how often do you have to go through a review and this is to answer your

question because it depends and I have had representation of people from the

CIA and most recently my uranium one Doug Campbell client and so I had to

have top-secret clearances in order to be able to talk with them and so it

depends on what you're doing I don't know I don't know do you need a

top-secret clearance to do your job because that's the job Brennan is doing

right now he's commenting on TV I don't think he needs it for that what but but

what about everyone else I mean you know why let's talk about and I'll go to you

said you know Bruce or this guy's back channeling information from a guy who is

let go by the FBI and it was a good friend of his wife who works for the

organization that made the dossier and he's channeling this information from

the from steel to the DOJ I mean why is it forget about security clearance why

is he even working in the Department of Justice there's one reason and one

reason alone as you are well aware there are certain administrative things that

you can do to somebody who is in government employee that you can't do to

them once they've been fired that's the charitable excuse but my my

my advice is very simple to the administration everybody like Brennan

like clapper like McCabe who have demonstrated their partisanship should

be stripped of their clearances forthwith anybody else on that long long

list it's not just the list Sarah Huckabee read it's a much longer than

anybody whose fingerprints whose fingerprints are on uranium one on

Pfizer gate on the Adnan maskings and I mean it's massive

why isn't he doing it well I think I think he gets I'll tell you what look

there's a certain there are certain individuals in the council to the

president's office who are more lawyers than they are political professionals

and they don't understand the costs to national security of not stripping these

people of their security you know what I will go to you Victoria

Sep just said something that that is very interesting and that's a lot of

these lawyers in the Oval Office you know we're in there saying you can't do

this you can't do that well what do you think well I think that's going to

change because I think the president has found a shiny new toy and that is

something else that he can do in addition to pardons that nobody can stop

him from doing notwithstanding the silly people on the hill and say they're going

to pass some legislation that stops him from taking away clearances they can't

stop him that's an executive authority and I think he's found it that it's

tweaking people and particularly people that he wants to tweak and it's going to

continue unabated I predict okay and tom Fitton I mean now

you've got Bruce or who clearly is violating all of the rules of the FBI

and the DOJ as it relates to sources so why is Muller not investigating them and

I heard someone today say well it's supposed to be about the election well

this is about the elections about Bruce or working with fusion GPS who's and his

wife is making money off of fusion he's not declaring that money in his

financial disclosure he's conflicted I mean why is it Muller looking at him

instead his mother's taking the investigation or the information from

him well that there's your problem you've got Muller using bruce ors

information Christopher Steele's information that the Clinton DNC dossier

using that taking that whole Obama Clinton operation targeting it Trump and

and running with it look this Justice Department is

attacking the presidency through the Moller operation saying that he hasn't

had the right to fire the FBI director and investigate

for that now they're messing with his ability to conduct foreign policy if I

were the president I will come in and tell the Justice Department either you

stop it and if you refuse to do so I may go to court to get it stopped because

right now you've got an out-of-control Muller investigation we see where

they're going with manna fort where they're willing to break every rule in

the book to get someone who's not even involved in rajsa collusion lord knows

what else they're willing to do to get President Trump well you know it

Sebastian maybe you can just put a period on that one because clearly

you've got these guys involved in the run-up to the election their jobs they

violated the rules and they you know too many they've committed obstruction of

justice by creating this false document and lied to the court why is Muller not

looking at them I'll tell you why because the day before Muller was

appointed special counsel by his best friend rod Rosenstein he had an

interview in the White House - which rod Rosenstein escorted him in which he

wanted to get his old job back as director of the FBI yeah Robert Muller

wanted his old job back and he failed he crashed and burned and the new president

said no you're not going to be the director I want new blood after i v

Comey and what did rod Rosen Stein do the next day he appointed this man a

special prosecutor against a man who he had failed in front of during his job

interview that is the biggest conflict of interest this is a revenge operation

Bob there's a legal reason also that this is happening and it's away rod

Rosenstein drafted the authority that he gave to Miller he said anything any leap

that you find between the Toronto campaign and the Russian government he

did not give an authority to Muller to go into the Clinton campaign or anything

to do with this the DNC but what the book should be invited Muller should be

investigating himself he's a witness in this case it's an absurd and it's

incredibly absurd to have him run this investigation

given his personal involvement in the underlying facts of the case and

tomorrow night in my open because we have to go guys I'm going after him

After "Pretty Boy" Trudeau Takes Cheap Shot At Trump, Canada Suffers Consequences - Duration: 5:36.

After "Pretty Boy" Trudeau Takes Cheap Shot At Trump, Canada Suffers Consequences

The Prime Minister of Canada has been celebrated as a new "Obama."

The super-liberal politician has been worshiped by the media, both in Canada and the United

States.

He's even tried to upstage President Donald Trump, criticizing him over his policies.

But now his country is feeling the sting of his mouth, as a new crisis is growing.

When Donald Trump took office, the Prime Minister of Canada quickly picked sides.

Being on the far left of the political spectrum, Justin Trudeau openly opposed the incoming

president's policies.

Much like liberals in the United States, he was trying to push his country into socialism.

More so than it already is.

When President Trump first put his foot down over illegal immigration, Trudeau decided

to virtue-signal to the world via Twitter.

"Diversity" is your strength, huh?

It's clear this statement was simply meant to criticize President Trump, even though

Trudeau was too cowardly to call him by name.

Obviously, it wasn't meant as an actual invitation even though Canada is larger than

the U.S. and could take in more people.

It seems, like all liberals, Trudeau was all talk and no action.

He didn't want new people coming to Canada, he just wanted to look like he wanted the

people.

Since his ill-fated tweet, Canada has seen a record number of illegal aliens enter the

country.

It's gotten so bad, many politicians are calling it a crisis.

What's really amazing is what this liberal country wants to do to control and curtail

its immigration problem.

It makes Trump look like Gandhi.

As the Trump Administration has cancelled Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for several

nationalities with large immigrant communities in the U.S. – notably Haitians and Salvadorans

– many of those people have felt they have little option but to flee to Canada for safety…

This has led to thousands of asylum-seekers crossing into Canada from gaps in the border

with the U.S. over the past two years, almost all of them into the province of Québec from

upstate New York…

Many, such as the opposition Conservative Party's shadow Minister for Immigration,

Michelle Rempel, have said that this created an unrealistic expectation that anyone could

come to Canada.

During emergency meetings in Parliament this summer on the issue, Rempel said she doesn't

think that's sustainable, and added that she thought the "situation is going to get

worse."

Those feelings have been echoed by leaders in the province of Ontario, who have called

on the Trudeau government to do come up with a plan on how to deal with asylum-seekers,

who continue to cross into the country in significant numbers.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police intercepted 7,326 people at the border between April and

July.

Trudeau unofficially welcomed strangers into Canada.

What do ya know?

They actually took him at his word.

We all know we're not supposed to take liberals seriously.

They just shoot off their mouths for the cameras.

We all smile and applaud.

Then they go back to screwing up the government.

Since Trudeau "opened the floodgates," Quebec has been overwhelmed by the number

of "irregular" immigrants (code for illegals).

Their leaders are pushing back on the country's open-door policy.

Quebec's government is demanding some strict changes to the laws.

Nowhere has this tension over migration been felt more keenly than Québec, the only Canadian

province that has partial control over who immigrates there, and the province of arrival

for an estimated 96% of irregular border crossers…

Many in the predominantly French-speaking province consider immigration to be a process

that dilutes Québec's unique linguistic and cultural identity in North America…

Even the Liberal government in the province declared earlier this summer that they, along

with the province of Ontario, have "run out of room".

The party is trailing in opinion polls to a nationalist opposition party known as the

Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), which has promised to slash even legal immigration by

as much as 20%, and to force all new immigrants to learn French.

Currently, most immigrants are given the option of learning either English or French.

In an interview with the Montréal Gazette earlier this year, the party's immigration

spokeswoman Nathalie Roy accused the Liberal government of trying to "hide the problem

[of immigration] under the carpet."

[Source: Fox News]

Well, now, this is very interesting.

Even the liberals in Quebec are saying they have "run out of room."

Looks to me like Canada has plenty of room for immigrants.

The United States is smaller, and we get thousands pouring over our border a day.

Canada gets a few hundred a day and suddenly they're all booked up?

Give me a break.

Notice how Quebec is worried that too much immigration will "dilute" their cultural

identity.

I'm sure the liberal bloggers all agree.

But if an American were to say that, look out!

They'd be called racist and xenophobic.

Funny how other countries can get away with that.

Quebec's government wants to slash legal immigration by 20%.

They are demanding new immigrants learn French.

Imagine if Trump wanted to do those kinds of things in America.

He'd be called Hitler!

Oh, wait… they already do that.

Isn't it amazing how the world operates at a double standard?

When the United States wants to enforce immigration law, we get called bigoted, cruel, and selfish.

But when Canada suffers just a fraction of the crisis we're dealing with, they're

ready to padlock the country.

Trump's plan doesn't sound so crazy, now does it?
