Number of Companies Offering Trump Bonuses Thanks to Tax Cut Jumps to 250

Employees at companies of all sizes and in various industries are already starting to

bring home additional money in direct response to tax reform by the Trump administration.

Even before Americans start to determine whether Republicans were correct in predicting the

new law will result in noticeably larger paychecks, many workers have already received or been

promised a bonus of some type.

As the Washington Examiner reported, the number of firms offering an incentive tied to their

lower tax bill has reached at least 250 in the weeks since President Donald Trump signed

the bill into law late last year.

While the Republican bill received some criticism for its disproportionately steep corporate

tax cuts, many of those businesses have shown a willingness to pass some of that money on

to their employees.

Among the latest major corporations to announce such bonuses are Starbucks, Disney and Home

Depot.

Many of the firms are offering one-time cash bonuses, but some have promised additional

and potentially more long-term benefits as a result of the corporate tax cut.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Starbucks, the worlds largest coffee chain, will offer

its employees expanded parental and sick leave in addition to a one-time stock grant and

an hourly wage hike

Disney has also made a sizable and multifaceted investment in its employees in response to

the new tax rate, Fortune reported this week.

Along with giving more than 125,000 individuals a $1,000 bonus, the entertainment giant is

also putting $50 million into a program designed to help workers pay for college tuition.

About 88,000 employees will reportedly be eligible for college tuition help from the

program Disney has pledged to fund annually.

About 90 percent of Home Depots more than 400,000 employees are expected to receive

a $1,000 bonus the company recently promised each of its nonsalaried workers.

In a statement announcing the bonuses, CEO and President Craig Menear joined other business

leaders in crediting the lower tax rate.

We are pleased to be able to provide this additional reward to our associates for continuing

to deliver outstanding customer service, he said.

This incremental investment in our associates was made possible by the new tax reform bill.

Walmart and a number of other major corporations have made similar announcements recently,

though many other smaller employers are also joining the movement.

The conservative advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform has been keeping track of announcements

by firms offering employees an incentive tied to the tax reform bill.

Some executives at smaller companies thanked Trump directly for the new tax bill, while

many took the opportunity to recognize their employees with more than just a check.

Because of the reduction in corporate taxes we, as will all businesses, benefit from this

tax cut, CEO Roger C. Camp wrote to employees of his Houston construction company.

We believe that YOU are the reason for our success.

And now that we will be giving less of our hard earned income to the federal government,

we can share some of it with you.

Employees of Camp Construction Services will be receiving a $500 bonus with their next

check, he announced.

The total number of firms offering some type of bonus has increased a reported 525 percent

over the past two weeks.

Trump Invites European CEOs To Dinner, Every Last 1 Of Them Does Same Thing At The Table - Duration: 5:18.

Trump Invites European CEOs To Dinner, Every Last 1 Of Them Does Same Thing At The Table

While President Donald Trump was in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum

(WEF), he invited a number of influential European CEOs to dinner.

The prestigious gathering turned out to be a major success, with every last one of the

business leaders doing the same exact thing while at the table with Trump. It should come

as no surprise at this point to hear that President Donald Trump did some major winning

in Davos this week.

Indeed, his track record just one year into his presidency is one marked by major success

and records set.

Still, what happened during a dinner Trump held for European CEOs in Switzerland will

have you applauding.

"I will always put America First.

Just like the leaders of other countries should put their countries first.

But America First does not mean America alone," President Trump declared in Davos, adding

that "when the United States grows, so does the world."

"American prosperity has created countless jobs around the globe and the drive for excellence,

creativity, and innovation in the United States has led to important discoveries that help

people everywhere live more prosperous and healthier lives," the President continued.According

to The Daily Caller, a senior administration official previewing President Trump's speech

told reporters it will deliver three principles.

"First is that America is open for business again, in the sense that there's been no

better time to build, to invest, to hire in the United States," said the official.

"The second theme that I think that you will hear the President speak to relates to

America's engagement in the world," they added.

"Finally, I think you'll hear the President articulate a vision of free and sovereign

nations cooperating towards shared goals — peace, security, prosperity."

While President Trump's remarks at the WEF went off with a bang, his biggest win unfolded

during a dinner for European CEOs.

Heads of companies like Nestle, Novartis, and Adidas were at the table, where they expressed

their growing confidence in American business now that Donald Trump is at the helm of the

country.

In a stunning moment, one by one, European titans of industry went around the table to

thank Trump for the passage of tax cuts and the easing of corporate tax burdens.

Almost every CEO had a new US-based investment or strategic business to announce.

The president of Seimens, Joe Kaeser, said, "Since you have been so successful in tax

reform we have decided to develop the next generation gas turbines in the United States."

Trump responded, "That's great!"The White House press pool provided a list of

all of the influential business leaders who attended President Trump's dinner in Davos:

Kasper Rorsted, Adidas (Apparel) — Germany Joe Kaeser, Siemens AG (Tech) — Germany

Heinrich Hiesinger, Thyssenkrupp AG (Industrials) — Germany

Eldar Saetre, Statoil ASA (Energy) — Norway Mark Schneider, Nestle SA (Food and Beverage)

— Switzerland Vas Narasimhan, Novartis AG (Pharmaceutical)

— Switzerland Mark Tucker, HSBC (Financial Services) — UK

Patrick Pouyanne, Total SA (Energy) — France Carols Brito, Anheuser-Busch InBev NV (Food

and Beverage) — Netherlands Rajeev Suri, Nokia Corporation (Technology)

— Finland Punit Renjen, Deloitte (Consulting) — UK

Martian Lundstedt, AB Volvo (Auto) — Sweden Werner Baumann, Bayer AG (Pharmaceutical)

— Germany Bill McDermott, SAP SE (Technology) — Germany

Ulrich Spiesshofer, ABB Ltd (Manufacturing) — Switzerland

This was, perhaps, the greatest "America First" moment of the entire gathering in

Davos this week, yet it is not being reported by mainstream news outlets, which wasted all

of their coverage on the WEF by slamming Trump and mocking him for showing up at the prestigious

event.

The WEF has long been considered a globalist, out-of-touch conference, but Trump's visit

turned the gathering on its head.

President Donald Trump gave us fair warning before he was elected: We just might get tired

of all the winning that would take place under the leadership of the Trump administration,

he said.

Well, he was right about one thing — this rate of economic growth is unlike anything

we have ever seen.

However, I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing the United States experience

such resounding success on the world stage, though.

DONALD TRUMP ANNOUNCES $1 TRILLION INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN - Duration: 2:43.

DONALD TRUMP ANNOUNCES $1 TRILLION INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ANNOUNCED PLANS FOR A $1.7 TRILLION INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT

PLAN ON WEDNESDAY. Were also working to rebuilding our

crumbling infrastructure by stimulating a $1 trillion dollar investment, and that will

actually probably end up being $1.7 trillion dollars, he said.

The president revealed the price-tag during a meeting with about a hundred mayors of cities

inside the United States. He plans to introduce the plan at his State of the Union address

with further details afterward.

Oh, you like that? Trump asked as the mayors applauded wildly and cheered. I

can tell we have mayors in the room only mayors could be that excited.

He said that he wanted all of the projects funded by his plan to be on time and under

budget.

Trump also promised to start sending military equipment back to local communities, something

that the Obama administration tried to stop.

During the meeting, Trump touted his administrations first year as a great success, pointing to

the economic benefits of the tax cut legislation passed in 2017.

Remember I used to say, What do you have to lose? he asked. And people

said, I dont know if thats a nice thing to say. I said, Of course, it is.

For 100 years, the Democratic mayors have a done a terrible I mean, theyve done

some bad work.

Trump pointed to Democrat mayors of major cities that boycotted the meeting because

of his stance on sanctuary cities. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Denver Mayor

Michael Hancock were among the mayors that protested the meeting.

The mayors who choose to boycott this event have put the needs of criminal, illegal immigrants

over law-abiding America, Trump said. So let me tell you, the vast majority of people

showed up.
