Trump: Respect Must Be Shown To The U.S.

President Donald Trump demanded that other countries respect the United States during

his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the World Economic Forum in Davos.

�I have to say, on the United Nations, we were pretty much out in the wilderness by

ourselves, the United States, and we heard every country was going to be against us,�

Trump said.

�And it was very interesting.�

�I said, you know, we give billions and billions of dollars to these countries, it

amounts to hundreds of millions and sometimes into the billions for certain countries and

they vote against us,� he continued.

�And I made a very simple statement that I�m watching.

I�m watching.�

Trump noted that after letting countries know that he was �watching,� 68 countries voted

with the United States or neutrally on moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

He also asserted that the United States will not continue to give money to Palestine unless

they sit down with Israel for peace talks.

�So we�ll see what happens with the peace process, but respect has to be shown to the

U.S.,� he concluded.

There was an extraordinary public row last year after Mr Trump retweeted anti-Muslim posts by a British Far Right group

The leaders have also disagreed about the Iran nuclear deal and the US decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

A plan for him to come to London to open the new US embassy next month was dramatically dropped, fuelling concerns about a breakdown in the historic alliance

As the pair posed for photographs at the Swiss ski resort yesterday, Mrs May nodded along when Mr Trump said he wanted to correct 'false rumours' that they did not get on.

'I think the feeling is mutual from the standpoint of liking each other a lot,' he said

'We love your country.'

He added: 'There is nothing that would happen to you that we won't be there to fight for you - you know that.'

Mrs May replied: 'As you say we had a great discussion today and we continue to have that really special relationship with the United States

'We stand shoulder to shoulder because we face the same challenges around the world.'

Mrs May said the 'special relationship' continued to matter because 'we are facing the same challenges across the world'

She said: 'We are working together to defeat those challenges.

'We are working for a good trade relationship in the future that will be to both our benefit.'

Mrs May said it was 'great to see' the President as they shook hands, with Mr Trump returning the compliment.

He said: 'The Prime Minister and myself have had a really great relationship, although some people don't necessarily believe that but I can tell you I have tremendous respect for the Prime Minster and the job she is doing.

'And I think the feeling is mutual from the standpoint of liking each other a lot.

'So there was a little bit of a false rumour out there and I just wanted to correct it frankly.'

Mr Trump said there would be a 'tremendous increase in trade between our two countries, great for both in terms of jobs'.

'We look forward to that, we are starting that process pretty much as we speak.'

The PM and President were bombarded with questions about when Mr Trump would take up his state visit invite, but he just said they would be 'talking about' the issue

Downing Street said the visit would be in the 'second half of the year'

A read-out issued by No10 that in their private discussions the leaders discussed Bombardier, the aircraft firm that is facing punitive tariffs in a dispute with the US authorities

The PM 'reiterated the importance of the company's jobs in Northern Ireland', according to a spokesman.

They also spoke about Iran, where the governments differ on whether to support the deal to stop it developing nuclear weapons.

'The Prime Minister updated the President on the good progress which had been made in the Brexit negotiations so far,' No10 said

'The two leaders reiterated their desire for a strong trading relationship post-Brexit, which would be in the interests of both countries

Netanyahu was very appreciative to President Trump for keeping his promise to move the

After the brief meeting the president was asked about Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas�s

recent attacks on Trump and his family.

The president warned the Palestinians to start working with the US or face cuts in US aid.

President Trump: �Uh, No I didn�t really read his remarks personally.

I think I�m probably better off not seeing them, but we�ve done a lot for them, and

hopefully they�re going to make peace for their people.

You know what, it�s many years of killing people, it�s many years of killing each

other.

They have to be tired and disgusted of it.

Let�s see what happens.

I think eventually, very sound minds, I hope sound minds are going to prevail.

And it would be a great achievement to mine that said it from day one if we could make

peace between Israel and the Palestinians if we do that I would consider that one of

our truly great achievements, but the money is on the table.

You know the money was never on the table I tell you up front.

We give them tremendous amounts, hundreds of millions of dollars a year that money is

on the table because why should we do that as a country if they�re doing nothing for

us and what we want to do for them has helped them.

We want to create peace and save lives and we�ll see what happens, we�ll see what

President Trump said his administration has a framework for achieving peace between the

Israelis and the Palestinians, but warned the U.S. is prepared to withhold aid to the

Palestinians if they decline to return to the negotiating table with Israel.

"Respect has to be shown to the U.S. or we're just not going any further," Trump said of

the Palestinian Authority during a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin

Netanyahu on Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Trump cited the Palestinians' refusal to meet last week with Vice President Mike Pence during

Pence's visit to Israel.

The president said his administration has formulated a peace proposal that would be

"great" for the Palestinian Authority, if its leaders were willing to restart the talks

they severed after he formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel late last

year.

"That money is on the table, and that money is not going to them unless they sit down

and negotiate peace," Trump said, referring to U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority.

"Why should we do that as a country if they're doing nothing for us?"

Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and his push to move the

American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem sparked widespread praise in Israel and outrage

in other parts of the Arab world.

The Palestinian Authority also claims Jerusalem as its capital, and disputes over holy sites

in the city have served as a flashpoint in peace talks for many years.

Trump defended his Jerusalem announcement on Thursday against criticism that he had

upended negotiations, arguing the move had actually paved the way for smoother talks

down the road.

"The fact is ... there were never any deals that came close because Jerusalem � because

you could never get past Jerusalem," he said.

"By taking it off the table, that was the toughest issue."

Netanyahu thanked Trump for his recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and offered

support in the president's efforts to secure significant changes in the Iran nuclear deal,

which Israel has long opposed.

"If you decide to do that, then we will back you all the way," Netanyahu said of Trump's

suggestion that he could soon alter or scrap the nuclear agreement with Iran.

It should come as no great surprise that President Trump has a lot of opponents in Washington.

To be fair, they made their positions clear long before he took office, and have been

sticking to them ever since.

The opposition was made even clearer with the Russia collusion investigation that has

been launched and drug out for the past year.

Many of us hoped that even though the left was violently opposed to President Trump and

many of his policies, they wouldn't actually resort to violence to silence him.

We might have been wrong.

It's a perfectly legal recourse for a party who doesn't believe in a candidate or President

to check him or her out thoroughly and see if there are any inconsistencies that can

be exploited for the purpose of removing them from office.

What isn't perfectly legal is having forces within the Justice Department set about falsifying

evidence, or withholding it from a congressional probe, but that is just what's been happening.

The FBI was supposed to be investigating President Trump's campaign, but when it became clear

that they were compromised, Congress started to investigate some of the members of that

special investigation.

What they found was proof positive that many laws were broken in an effort to keep President

Trump from office.

Leading the charge against the injustices in the FBI is former prosecutor and current

Representative Trey Gowdy along with Representative John Ratcliffe.

According to Real Clear Politics, they informed Fox News that this information could spell

the end of some careers on Capitol Hill:

"Reps. Trey Gowdy and John Ratcliffe join FNC's Martha McCallum to talk about another

newly released text message between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

This time, Strzok implies a "secret society" of federal agents worked to prevent Donald

Trump from becoming president.

'It is possible these text messages that are missing, perhaps they really were lost.

Perhaps it is another strange coincidence,' Ratcliffe said.

"It is harder and harder for us to explain one strange coincidence after another."

'We know that Strzok and Page had an intense anti-Trump bias,' he said.

'And that's OK, so long as they check it at the door and do their job.

We learned today in the thousands of text messages we have reviewed, that perhaps they

may not have done that.

We know about this 'insurance policy' that was referenced trying to prevent Donald

Trump from becoming president.'

Ratcliffe continued: 'We learned today about information that in the immediate aftermath

of his election, there may have been a 'secret society' of folks within the Department

of Justice and the FBI, to include Page and Strzok, working against him.

I'm not saying that actually happened, but when folks speak in those terms, they need

to come forward to explain the context.'

About the 'secret society,' Gowdy said: 'You have this insurance policy in Spring

2016, and then the day after the election, what they really didn't want to have happen,

there is a text exchange between these two FBI agents, these supposed to be fact-centric

FBI agents saying, 'Perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society.'

So I'm going to want to know what secret society you are talking about, because you're

supposed to be investigating objectively the person who just won the electoral college.

So yeah — I'm going to want to know.'

The evidence that these two bring paints a scary picture as to what has been happening

behind closed doors.

We trust those in law enforcement to look out for the best interests of the nation.

This is just the opposite; they seem to be looking for their own best interests, and

the laws and will of the people are no more than an after thought, or a punishment to

be avoided.

According to Your News Wire "The inspector general also discovered that the FBI 'failed

to preserve' five months worth of Strzok-Page texts for a crucial period in the Russia investigation

— from Dec. 14, 2016 to May 17, 2017.

Considering the explosive information revealed by Gowdy and Ratcliffe regarding one of the

text messages, it has become clear the FBI is attempting to cover its tracks.

Gowdy, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, vowed to

investigate the text messages further.

'I'm going to want to know what secret society are you talking about because you

are supposed to be investigating objectively the person who just won the electoral college.

I'm going to want to know,' he said on Fox.

In a tweet on Monday, Ratcliffe said that his review of the Strzok-Page texts 'revealed

manifest bias among top FBI officials' against Trump."

The DNC pushed for this investigation into Russian collusion, and it was the worst possible

move they could have made.

From the perspective of the mainstream media or any of the powers that be in Congress,

they could have carried on and hinted and pushed the narrative without the investigation,

but they didn't.

They were just so sure that he was guilty, so sure that he had to play the same dirty,

colluded gamed that they were playing, that they had to have transparency.

Well, they got their transparency, and when they did, we all got to see the dirty underbelly

When the international news reported Trump was "like a rock star" at the summit,

the CNN reporter went into revenge mode.

From Limbaugh's description of Trump's reception and what the media expected, you

can tell that Acosta must have been fuming, and in all his fury, poor Jim gave it his

best shot to embarrass Trump.

So, there's Acosta, smack dab in a sea of cell phones waving at Trump as the president

comes out of a meeting, when he makes his move.

"CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta tried to bait President Donald Trump at the World

Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Thursday by setting him up with a nice question about

the forum before going in for the attempted heckling-style kill shot question that Trump

ignored twice," reports The Gateway Pundit.

Trump was descending a staircase with the press assembled just off the landing.

Acosta called out a nice question, asking, "Mr. President, how's the conference going?"

Trump answered as he continued down the staircase, "Really good.

Really good.

Very successful."

Another reporter asked, "What's your message to Davos?" as Acosta moved in for the kill

shot question but was too slow on the draw, yelling, "Mr. President, Mr. President,

how can you be…" and stopping himself as Trump answered the "message" question.

Trump responded, "The message is, it went great for us and we want great peace.

And, I think that really is the message.

It's been going really well.

A lot of people are coming back to the United States.

We are seeing tremendous investment.

And, uh, today's been a very exciting day, a very good day and great for our country.

At that point, Acosta was ready.

He was going to really land a knockout punch to his nemesis Trump.

He had time to prepare for his big smackdown, so he asks, "Mr. President!

But, it gets worse.

Loser Acosta went berserk, yelling the same question out again.

You see, Trump was answering all other questions so Jim was looking like a fool, and everyone

Trump gave the fake news reporter a slap down in front of the world on live TV.

The president acted as if Jim Acosta was not there, totally ignored him and his ridiculous

question, twice.

It was truly a cringe-worthy moment for the CNN reporter, yet Acosta is such an ignoramus

I can't imagine Acosta is thinking he made journalistic history.
