TRUMP ADMIN ANNOUNCES NEW SANCTIONS AGAINST RUSSIA - Duration: 10:13.

the Trump administration announcing new sanctions against Russia over the use of

a military-grade nerve agent on UK soil and new information this morning

Moscow is upping the anti anti in the response Moscow says it will cut

holdings of US securities let's bring in California congressman ed

Royce chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee mr. chairman good to

see you this morning thanks so much for being here good morning Maria your

reaction to Russia's response cutting US securities well I don't think that that

that reaction is going to be too effective in terms of our market because

of their dominium diminish position in it but what I do think is we saw on

Friday a new two-year low for the Russian ruble and at the same time as

the administration makes its case and they were right to move forward on these

sanctions they're pointing out that the the Russians in this case were caught

red-handed the British have films that show the

Russian perpetrators and so with that evidence and with these new sanctions on

top of the sanctions we've already placed on Russia

because of their ongoing efforts around the world not only to engage in

undermining democracy including here in the United States but also their actions

in Syria now this this represents considerable leverage right now on Putin

we are sending the message to Putin the administration is sending the message

you will pay a steep price for your continued intervention in our elections

and for your other actions such as this attack on British soil so walk us

through these sanctions and how impactful they may or may not be on

Russia why do you think they're so stinging well first of all these

sanctions impact export and import they impact electronics they impact aviation

the second tranche of sanctions which will go into effect in 90 days if Russia

does not Kurt these activities could potentially

affect the ability of Aeroflot to to fly or land anywhere in the United States

and so the cumulative effect on this is really really having a hit not only on

the value of the rule but on the on the Russian economy in general you know I

remember that there was a story during the financial crisis in 2007 where

Russia Vladimir Putin called up the head of China and said maybe we should get

together and sell US securities now this was a rumor it was actually in Hank

Paulson's book after the crisis he was talking about putting enormous pressure

on the US while the US was down we were in the worst financial crisis in a

generation in 2007 so now we hear this again that Russia is in fact going to

sell US securities how much of an impact will that have on the u.s. not much of

an impact and in the meantime the US right now we've had the the largest wage

growth over the last ten years we're experiencing that now we've got

unemployment under 10 percent the economy is under 4% unemployment is

under 4% the economy is growing at plus 4% and so in this situation our economy

is very strong the rut of the ability of Putin to have much of an impact on it is

is not much and and in the meantime I think it's very important we be

consistent in sending this message that Russia will pay a steep price

if these deadly acts aren't answered by Russia Russia has to take action now in

the next in the in the next months in order to try to reverse its actions and

send a clear message that they're not going to continue to do this safe she's

also against Turkey this past week we know that and and I want to ask you

about Iran as well your thoughts on the USS move given the pastor that had

has been held for so long in Turkey in terms of applying these different

sanctions to Turkey and erawan right well pastor Brunson has been held over

two years I think I think that in terms of tariffs tariffs should be very

narrowly deployed and in my opinion tariffs should frankly be focused right

now on Beijing for their violations I think that the types of sanctions that

are effective on Turkey the the focus on the human rights violations holding the

pastor for more than two years and therefore the sanctions against Turkish

Turkish officials for human rights violations I think that's effective but

if these tariffs become too widespread the use of tariffs that can have other

impacts globally and so I'd keep that focus narrowing on Beijing it seems that

the administration are there waiting for turkeys response to enjoy my exclusive

interview two weeks ago with the vice president Mike Pence he told me that the

u.s. is serious and wants turkeys and to understand we want change listen to this

he wants to come home and pastor Andrew Brunson should be freed and should be

allowed to return to his family to his home to his church and his nation in the

United States of America transferring pastor ranch Andrew Brunson to home the

rest it's just not good enough and the United States of America is prepared to

bring sanctions against turkey until pastor Andrew Brunson is

so should we expect more with regard to Turkey I think these bogus charges

brought against a pastor Brunson half to end he has to be brought home and I

think that they're the ones authoritarian moves need to be countered

and so as a consequence I think he can expect more pressure and I think it is

it is in international interests to have air21 cease holding Americans as

hostages including our NASA scientists there so I think he's going to face

additional pressures limiter to Iran what what can Congress do what what role

do you see in terms of Iran and the u.s. now I mean the president has been

adamant very strong against Iran pulling out of that deal and now we see Iran not

going back to the negotiating table not really thinking that they're going to

change their behavior as a result of the u.s. pulling out and we still have

questions about Europe and European companies doing business in Iran what's

next so our main problem with Iran the main problem with the agreement was that

it did not include missiles if you'll recall nor did it include Iran's

terrorist actions and so as a consequence you had the ayatollah saying

every military man must help us mass-produce

intercontinental ballistic missiles and and you saw the missile test here

recently in iran this needs to be addressed and one of the things we were

trying to do was to get the other partners in the agreement and i think we

were the the British and the French were being helpful Germany was not in terms

of getting an agreement in which we address these other issues that were not

lying in the original agreement and we did something about you know 12 13 years

out in the agreement everything's sunsetted so we had to a draw

the sunset and we could not get Germany to go along on that now additional

pressure is being put by the administration directly on Iran and you

see it's coming at a time when there's widespread disruption across the country

in cities all over Iran that's how you see people going to the streets in

protest so we're turning up the pressure yeah let's not forget the impact that

that it's had on Turkey I mean last week big week in Turkey obviously the Turkish

lira plummeting down big last week impacting all markets across the world

earlier on also threatening to withdraw from NATO so we see a real impact in

terms of markets in Turkey I wonder if we're going to see that kind of an

impact on some of the other detractors perhaps Iran or I mean Iran's economy

obviously hasn't hasn't moved and it has plummeted but do you expect further fall

out in that regard yes just as you've seen a 41 percent drop in the lire in

the last year in Turkey we're seeing a similar impact and we're seeing

hyperinflation in Munir on and we're seeing it on the streets in terms of

people's frustrations with that ideological regime that theocratic

regime two-thirds of the people in Iran want a democracy without a theocracy we

need to do more social media into Iran the Persian community around the world

needs to broadcast in and continue that dialogue yeah with the next generation

of young Iranian and of course we're also seeing an impact on on Russia's

economy as well mr. chairman it's good to see this morning thanks so much Thank

You Maria Chairman Ed Royce joining us there with auto trade at the center of

the talks over NAFTA president trot telling Canada to wait while the US and

Mexico

JUST IN: SUPREME COURT BACKS TRUMP – HUGE CHANGE COMING FOR ILLEGALS - Duration: 13:23.

JUST IN: SUPREME COURT BACKS TRUMP – HUGE CHANGE COMING FOR ILLEGALS

If you listen to the media's bumbling coverage of Trump's travel ban, you'll realize

that they are just hoping the Supreme Court will ignore it.

Like it will eventually just go away.

But the Supreme Court has done just the opposite.

Not only are they dealing with President Trump's case, they have sped up their proceedings

to hear the case faster.

(via Breitbart)

Clearly, the Supreme Court is not content, like the media, to just pretend that terrorism,

immigration, and border security are not important issues.

The Court realizes that, for some Americans, this issue will be one of life and death — when

will the next terrorist attack occur?

It also looks like the Court may understand President Trump's true motivation — protecting

Americans.

The Justices' statement said of the executive orders, "text and operation are religion-neutral."

This suggests they may not see the order as religious discrimination, even though liberals

desperately want to paint the order that way.

(via New York Times)

The statement also seemed to imply a respect for the president's authority over disallowing

groups of people from entering the country.

Which, by law, he can do for any reason.

Normally, plaintiffs would have until July 3rd to provide their response to the Department

of Justice's appeals to the Supreme Court.

In this case, the ACLU is representing the plaintiffs, a group of activists (and immigrants)

standing against the travel ban.

Now, the Supreme Court has ordered the plaintiffs to have their response ready before summer

recess — June 12.

This could mean the Supreme Court could have a decision ready by the end of this year.

If the court kept the schedule as-is, the justices would not be able to make a decision

until mid-2018.

It's so refreshing to see the Supreme Court ignore the many suggestions from liberals

to simply not hear the case.

For people who believe in big government, liberals are oddly fine with our politicians

and judges sitting on their behinds, doing nothing.

At least when it comes to the newest Justice, Neil M. Gorsuch, work ethic and respect for

the law are a high priority on the bench again.

The travel ban will be resolved sooner than anyone thought possible, and I remain very

optimistic that the Supreme Court will recognize that this ban is lawful and needed.

Omarosa Claims Melania Trump's 'I Don't Care' Jacket Was a 'Style Rebellion' to 'Hurt' Her Husband - - Duration: 5:04.

First Lady Melania Trump's controversial fashion choices — from her pussy-bow blouse to her "I really don't care" jacket — were actually "style rebellions" intended to "punish her husband," former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman alleges in her new book

In Unhinged, due out Tuesday, Manigault Newman specifically claims that the first lady was trying to make President Trump "look foolish" when she wore a Zara jacket emblazoned with the words "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" on her way to visit separated children at an immigration facility in Texas

"It's my opinion that Melania was forced to go to the border that day in June, essentially, to mop up her husband's mess," Manigault Newman writes in an excerpt obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail

"She wore that jacket to hurt Trump, setting off a controversy that he would have to fix, prolonging the conversation about the administration's insensitivity, ruining the trip itself, and trying to make sure that no one asked her to do something like that again

"Not that Melania doesn't have compassion for immigrant children; I'm sure she does," Manigault Newman adds

"But she gladly, spitefully, wrecked her husband's directives to make him look foolish

"  Manigault Newman did not present any proof of her theories about Mrs. Trump.  The first lady's spokesperson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Monday

The first lady faced heavy criticism in June when she donned a jacket that read "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" as she departed to visit migrant children separated from their parents at the U

S.-Mexico border as a result of her husband's "zero-tolerance" immigration policy

Despite the instant backlash, Mrs. Trump put the jacket back on for her return flight to Washington, D

C.  In the aftermath of Mrs. Trump's "jacketgate" moment, the president claimed that his wife's fashion choice was a message to the "Fake News Media

" He tweeted at the time, "Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!"  However, Melania's communications director, Stephanie Grisham, contradicted the president's explanation

"It's a jacket. There was no hidden message," Grisham said in a statement in June

"After today's important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn't going to choose to focus on her wardrobe

" Grisham also said at the time that the trip was "100 percent" Mrs. Trump's idea and that her husband was "supportive

"  In Unhinged, Manigault Newman goes on to claim that the first lady has been making such "style rebellions" since her husband's campaign days

"As a student of fashion and keenly image-conscious woman, she knows that everyone of her style choices will be scrutinized and debated," Manigault Newman writes

"Why did she wear a Gucci 'pussy bow' pink blouse to the presidential debate immediately after the Access Hollywood bombshell? Did she purposefully wear a Hillary Clinton-esque white pantsuit to Trump's first State of the Union address? Did she mean to come off as out of touch and tone-dead by wearing snakeskin stiletto heels to hurricane-ravaged Texas? The messages behind her style choices aren't always clear, but they are never accidental

"Taken as a whole, all of her style rebellions have served the same purpose, and not only misdirection and distraction — strategies her husband knows all too well," Manigault Newman added

"I believe Melania uses style to punish her husband."

strongly there is no better place than right here at Fort Drum to celebrate its

our military like we never have before ever because we know that to survive and

having that survival of our freedom it depends upon the might of our military

fellas

there's another member of Congress here today who is not only an Air Force

veteran but the first woman ever to fly a fighter jet in combat in US history

and I've got to know her very well and she is terrific

congresswoman martha mcsalley congresswoman Thank You Martha thank you

for being here thank you very much thank you all for fighting for our military

and for fighting for our vets nobody has made more progress than anything than

what we've done with our vets we have choice approved you know that we have so

many other things approved for vets and it's really moving along well I think

maybe almost as important as choice is accountability now when we find somebody

not treating our vets properly you know what we say right you're out get out

you're fired get out they couldn't do that they couldn't do that now they can

do it now they have to treat our vets properly our vets are our great people

and they get treated properly so you have choice and you have accountability

and nobody thought that would ever get approved they've been trying for many

many decades finally I want to thank a very special group of Patriots at Fort

Drum all of the amazing spouses and family members whose love and support

make your service possible whether you like it or not they make it possible

please thank you thank you very much

they know

they know right look at him he's smiling they know last year we secured a

historic 700 billion dollars to rebuild our military and now the National

Defense Authorization Act paves the way for another 1700 listen to this now so

we've been trying to get money they never gave us money for the military for

years and years and it was depleted we got 700 billion dollars and next year

already approved we have 716 billion dollars to give you the finest planes

and ships and tanks and missiles anywhere on earth nobody makes them like

we do and very very far distant in this case jobs are very important in all

cases but in this case military might is more important than even jobs but all of

this equipment is made right here in the USA and it's the best equipment on earth

nobody makes it like we do so you have 700 billion dollars and now 716 billion

dollars so congratulations

America is a peaceful nation but if conflict is forced upon us we will fight

and we will win right general right right

better believe it generals they're the guys were powered by the unstoppable

force of the United States Army very special with this new authorization we

will increase the size and strength of our military by adding thousands of new

recruits to active duty reserve and National Guard units including 4,000 new

active duty soldiers and we will replace aging tanks aging planes and ships with

the most advanced and lethal technology ever developed and hopefully we'll be so

strong we'll never have to use it but if we ever did nobody has a chance it all

includes 135 brand-new beautiful m1 Abrams tanks 60 Bradley fighting

vehicles and over 3,000 joint light tactical vehicles for the army armored

Brigade Combat Team no Blackhawk and Apache helicopters finest in the world

for the Army National Guard 77 f-35 Joint Strike Fighters you know that

stealth I talked to a couple of pilots great pilots I said how are they they

said they're hard to beat because you can't see them it's always hard to beat

the enemy when you can't see it the greatest in the world

full funding for the be 21 radar bomber program 13 new battle for ships and

support ships including a fourth ford-class aircraft carrier and three

additional lateral combat ships funding to modernize our nuclear arsenals so

important we're doing a major upgrade of our

missile defense we're spending a tremendous amount of money on our

nuclear arsenal nobody will have clothes we will hopefully never ever have to use

it but nobody will be close more than 11 billion dollars for the military

construction including family housing and we are proudly giving our troops the

biggest pay increase in a decade and I know you don't want it because you're

very patriotic you'll say it's just save the money we're going to pay down debt

does anybody not want it please raise your head what's going on here are these

real Patriots I don't know general I don't know

it's the biggest increase in a decade a strong military also requires a strong

economy and our economy is setting records like never before we have the

greatest economy we've ever had I think that's going to help us a lot in a lot

of ways it also helps us a lot in funding and doing all of the things

we're doing for our great military we've created almost 4 million new jobs since

the election a number that the media in the back would never have said would be

possible if during the campaign

I'm so proud of myself I didn't call him the fake news media I didn't call I said

to myself I will not today in front of our great armed forces call them fake

news we know the real truth but we won't say it today but they wouldn't have

believed it possible four million new jobs nobody would have thought that

possible in the campaign trail if when we were campaigning Mike if I would have

said that if I would have said 2 million new jobs people would have laughed us

off this stage well we have 4 million new jobs something I'm very proud of the

African American Hispanic Hispanic American and Asian asian-american the

unemployment rates for all three have reached the lowest levels in the history

of our country unemployment for African American Hispanics Asians the lowest

level in the history of our country

women's unemployment is not I'm sorry doing quite as well it's only the lowest

level in 65 years so we're not doing as well but we'll do better I think within

about three weeks when the new numbers come out you'll probably be lowest in

history also very importantly the veterans unemployment rate recently

reached its lowest level in nearly 20 years it's a big one

and we are creating manufacturing jobs again remember during the campaign they

said oh you can't create manufacturing jobs I said really we're not gonna make

things anymore is that what it's come to we're gonna have other country make

things they're gonna make things that we're gonna buy them and they're gonna

have the jobs and we're not doesn't work that way we're doing manufacturing jobs

at the fastest pace in many many decades no longer are we apologizing for America

instead we are now standing up for America it's called America first if

that's okay with you we're standing up for a military and we're standing up for

our great American flag we're standing for our flag

the Armed Forces have endured continuous combat for the past 17 years yet since

the 1990s the number of soldiers on active duty was cut by more than

one-third our bases and vital equipment were allowed to fall into a state of

disrepair and I saw some of them total disrepair but those days are over

everyday the Army is fighting for us and now we are fighting for you 100%

no one better understands how stretched our military has become than the

soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division is that right general you were the first

conventional combat force to deploy after 9/11

since then no division in the Army has been deployed more times to Iraq and

Afghanistan than you you've sent over 9,000 courageous soldiers to 26

different countries all around the world in the past year alone the second

Brigade Combat Team just returned from a rotation at the joint Readiness Training

Center and later this year they will once again bravely answer a nation's

call and deployed to Afghanistan through it all you've proven to the world to a

country to your families that Fort Drum soldiers aren't just tough your Mountain

tough that's what you are a mountain

I said to you general what's the difference he said sir trust me there's

a difference so I said I trust you right I said don't go into it I trust you one

of those soldiers is specialist Braden Cooke who is with us today rizz Brayton

wears a Braden good location Braden sorry last October his team came under

heavy fire while cleaning and clearing the clearing amount Taliban strongholds

in various locations in Afghanistan an Afghan soldier fighting alongside US

troops was badly wounded when an explosive detonated near by specialist

Cooke braved the hail of bullets and mortar rounds all over they said it was

all over it was heavy fire saving the life of that wounded soldier and earning

a Bronze Star for valor for his courageous action Braden I want to thank

you brave young man thank you please stand up again

right we're also inspired by the devotion to

duty shown by the family members who serve their nation here at home

Ashley Shepard is one of those family members she's been married to sergeant

first class Ian Shepard for more than 14 years

Ashley supports military families in every way you can imagine she has served

as a family readiness group leader co-leader treasurer and assistant

treasurer for three companies she works hard she raises money for scholarships

organizes charity events for gold star families and feeds homeless veterans

Ashley I want to thank you Ashley where is Ashley I had a feeling that was you

Ashley stand-up Ashley

thank your husband Kurt thank you

America is eternally grateful for every soldier service member and family member

here at Fort Drum and we are forever in the debt of every American who has ever

served our nation in uniform from the snows of Valley Forge to the jungles of

Vietnam in the mountains of Afghanistan it's just incredible what you do a few

days ago vice president pence flew to why to greet the remains of some of our

nation's greatest heroes our fallen warriors who gave their lives many years

ago in Korea now these American heroes are finally starting to come home they

will be laid to rest on American soil we believe in no American left behind

and we believe our warfighters deserve the tools the equipment and resources

they have earned with their blood sweat and tears in a few moments in honor of

that sacred obligation I will put my signature on the National Defense

Authorization Act this authorization will give America's war fighters the

firepower they need to win any conflict quickly and decisively thanks to the

leadership of Representative Stephanie will also make it an unprecedented

commitment to developing our artificial intelligence capabilities in order to

maintain America's military supremacy we must always be on the cutting edge that

is why we are also proudly reasserting America's legacy of leadership in space

our foreign competitors and adversaries have already begun weaponizing space

developing new technologies to disrupt vital communications blind satellites

and just I mean you look at what they're doing they've given me run downs I've

seen things that you don't even want to see what they're doing and how advanced

they are we'll be catching them very shortly they want to jam transmissions

which threaten our battlefield operations and so many other things and

we will be so far ahead of them in a very short period of time your head will

spin China even launched a new military

division to oversee its war fighting programs in space just like the air the

land the sea space has become a war fighting domain it is not enough to

merely have an American presence in space we must have American dominance in

space and that is why just a few days ago the vice president outlined my

administration's plan to create a six branch

of the United States military called the United States space force

got a cat again at Joe right Joe right we will ensure that the next great

chapter in history is written by the heroes of the United States military

America will always rise to every challenge and overcome every danger

because we are backed by the strength and power of the American soldier

speaking Jewish troops General George Patton a great one once said we have the

finest equipment and the best spirit and the best men in the world now if it were

today he would be saying the best men and women in the world things do change

but that was quite a statement many years ago continuing his remarks Patton

then declared I don't want to get any messages saying I am holding my position

we are not holding a damn thing we are advancing constantly that was Patton

nearly 75 years later Patton's words still ring true America has the best

equipment anywhere in the world we have the best spirit the best soldiers ever

to set foot on any battlefield anywhere at any time we are the most powerful we

are the best funded we are the biggest we are the strongest we are the smartest

and we are still not holding a damn thing because America is on the move

once again and we are not backing down our country is respected again I don't

know if you see it but America is respected again this is a big difference

and a big difference in the air you take a look around there's a big beautiful

difference we are advancing forward with our confidence renewed or might restored

and the unwavering conviction that our destiny

is our victory America's future is safe sound and brighter than ever because

each of you is mountain tough mountain proud and mountain strong and always

will be climbing to glory you will be climbing to glory thank you again for

the incredible men and women of Fort Drum special special great people god

bless our troops and god bless the United States of America I'd now like to

invite a few of our fantastic soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division 2nd

Brigade Combat Team to join me on stage to sign the National Defense

Authorization Act it's been an honor to be with you today thank you all very

much thank you

this is it but I'll just sign one poacher or we'll be here a long time

okay that's good right

Hey

thank you very much everybody

TRUMP HITS 'RIGGED' DOJ OVER RUSSIA PROBE - Duration: 10:26.

folks at the Department of Justice President Trump tweeting yesterday

furthering this narrative you can now connect more dots between these people

who were trying all these shenanigans even after he was elected the DOJ and

the FBI were an ethical mess under Obama a trump was victimized hillary was

protected we now know that the name of the airline employed you still applying

for seattle-tacoma Airport Richard Russell's family says that they

are heartbroken Russel blew around aimlessly before crashing on an island

to our knowledge he didn't have a pilot's license I don't know how he

achieved the experience president Trump meeting with bikers for Trump members at

his Golf Club in Bedminster New Jersey

residents down now but he doesn't wanna be part of it

he's in New Jersey first of all second of all he's tweeting from there that

he's sick tired of the swamp still Attorney General we're gonna this is our

town welcome come to our living room come spend yes we're always happy to

have you I love how Ted jumps right to the news because you know what I know

and he is invigorated with that tacitly in a picture of the White House he's not

even there today because they're doing renovations yet what not he's taking a

break in New Jersey but he's fed up more than a year in that his own attorney

general is still not listening to him when he says there is a whole nother

piece of the story being buried but he did have some friends visit him at the

White House and we'll get to not the way that's what had been bed stirred some

biker friends we're gonna get to that yes in just a few moments but as you

were saying that he is very frustrated you might say that yeah president drop

sounding off on Twitter slamming we calls the rig department justice and

their handling of the Russia probe the president even accusing his own Attorney

General as ed said of being scared stiff and missing in action

Julian Turner is live in Washington getting up early for us with all the

details good morning Julie good morning guys so yep the president

is taking to Twitter again this weekend to weigh in on the ongoing Muller probe

he's not holding back his agitation riding around 5:00 p.m. last night the

big story that the fake news media refuses to report his lowlife

Christopher Steele's many meetings with deputy AG Bruce or and his beautiful

wife Nellie it was fusion GPS that hired Steele to

write the phony and discredited dossier paid for by crooked Hillary and the DNC

and then this do you believe Nellie worked for fusion and her husband still

worked for the Department of Justice I have never seen anything so rigged in my

life our AG is scared stiff and missing in action it's all starting to be

revealed not pretty IG report soon witch hunts

okay he's referring to senior DOJ official Bruce or their who's been

attacked this week by the president's allies his attorney JC culo and House

Intel chair Devin Nunez the reason is or his friendship with former British spy

Christopher Steele the author of the now infamous steal dossier and then or his

wife who was previously employed by fusion GPS the firm that was hired to

compile opposition research on that candidate Trump hope you guys followed

all of that critics of the president insist there's no reason for the focus

on Bruce or now his connections have been publicly known for months and he

was removed from the deputy attorney's office as soon as his friendship with

Steele became known and just last week as you guys mentioned the president

faced charges of obstruction over on Capitol Hill for his actions regarding

the DOJ clearly not deterring him this weekend though from his crusade against

Attorney General Jeff Sessions guys back to you Gillian a lot to unpack there you

know the frustration obviously began with his recusal when she said he never

would have picked him if he knew he refused himself but I also think he sits

here and says look at the way the swamps coming at me deep state whatever you

want to call in the investigation and you've got then Eric Holder under Obama

called himself a Bob wing I mean that was literally a quote I got you back man

I've got if the Attorney General has your back is unseemly it's all about

people you're trying to obstruct justice somehow I think President Obama wants

him to run for president very close and in throughout history it's been that way

many times the president's made it clear how he feels about Jeff Sessions but tom

Fitton who we had on earlier you talked to him earlier on the show the president

of Judicial Watch he has been all over this from the beginning he says that the

DOJ is an ethical mess and they must answer to Congress the DOJ and the FBI

were an ethical mess under Obama a Trump was victimized Hillary was protected all

this info most if all this info is coming out Congress needs to get these

people in public to answer for these really outrageous allegations that

suggest not only ethical misconduct but criminal misconduct he hears that Fenton

in this case is suing to get the text messages that Andrew McCabe as the

number two underneath James Comey at the FBI

text messages he may have been sending to other officials at the FBI and

whatnot that we've never seen the FBI trying to tell Judicial Watch and others

those are not public documents even though it was

we believe in German came to work phone no they was texting now when we've seen

other FBI official text messages like struck in page they've been very

damaging to the FBI narrative about how they handled we don't have all of those

even ed and we only have a fraction of only a fraction that's why so many

people are frustrated we just want some answers okay feel again I don't know if

it's a cover-up I don't know if the slow walk I don't know if it's helping

colleagues have their back but it feels like even inside the Trump

administration there are officials at the top not working to bring the

sunlight to you and that's why if you come into a new place you're not

responsible for what happened there before you're responsible for cleaning

up that reputation I mean I mean honestly FBI DOJ whatever it is be the

cleanser as opposed to the cover-up and I think that's part of the frustration

in the White House get it all out there let's see what happens so we can move

forward yeah we've got Alan Dershowitz on the show in thielemann 7:20 a.m. this

morning so we're gonna ask him all of these questions it's an interview that

you don't want to miss but we teased it earlier the darling from Queens the

socialist from Queens that's because they're Alexandria Ocasio Cortes she's

made the rounds we would talk about her all the time on the show and as we've

gotten to know a little bit more about her and how she feels about specific

issues and the direction she wants the country to go it hasn't always gone her

way always gone right so Washington Post did a fact check they found five false

claims no no before we go to why that matters let's listen to a few of the

gaffes that our favorite socialist has made recently listen you use the term

the occupation of Palestine and what did you mean by that

oh I think it what I meant is like the the settlements do you think you can

expand on that yeah I mean I think I'd also just I I am not the expert on

geopolitics on this issue we're here in Kansas City to rally for Brent Weldon

we're gonna flip this seat red in November unemployment is low because

everyone has two jobs Nancy Pelosi do you recognize her as the leader for the

House Democrats course one I think absolutely right now you know she born

she is she is the leader of no no she I mean just last year we gave the military

a seven hundred billion dollar attack a budget increase which they

didn't even ask for capitalism has not always existed in the world and it will

not always exist in the world medicare-for-all is actually much more

it's actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now so

you hear Democrats these days saying oh gosh the president is always telling

fibs we're gonna fact-check him and and you should check what he says you check

what every politician says now there darling there all of a sudden there fact

taking her and the Washington Post goes through some of those claims for

Alexandria lo Cascio cortez the darling of the left and they find that there are

all these inaccuracies all of these lies all of these untruths so how does she

respond she puts out a tweet saying first time female candidate makes small

slip small slip she says on a budgetary figure during extemporaneous interview

quote this girl is so uninformed she needs to stay quiet

until she knows everything incumbent male congressman brings a snowball to

Congress to disprove climate change so she's basically saying that when

Republicans make mistakes in the men it's not a big deal because it's a woman

as they narrator Democrat it's sexist somehow which is absurd and this comes

just right after she called ben shapiro called him out / as she says cat calling

her as he's wanting to have a one-on-one debate with totally this comes that

remember Kamala Harris was at the podium I think it was at Netroots saying we

don't decide any politics is up that is the definition of identity pods the

Socialists in the Bronx I don't care what your racial identity is or your

gender no one cares your policies are terrible you don't understand the facts

are the problem not your gender rocks which is more obsessed with more of a

liberal publication box they put out a tweet saying democratic socialist

policies including single-payer health care and the jobs guarantee some of the

things that she's pushing would cost 42 trillion dollars over ten years they

looked at all of the policy 42 trillion dollars over ten years think about and

when we make when she says it's free or why yeah exactly makes absolutely no

sense when I make fun of Bernie Sanders is it because I just hate white men well

that's the problem we've got live in a world where it's about the issues it's

about where you stand it's about those facts and to be fact-checked maybe it's

just a reminder you got a note you're talking about when you go

for office and look she's been successful so far then you throw

yourself out there you're gonna be you're gonna invite the scrutiny that

comes with it make up numbers that it's free but it actually cost what 42

trillion what are you 2 trillion over 10 years mr. Q to the deck send us your

thoughts friends at foxnews.com 3 now though to some of the headlines that

we're following this morning starting here what was the post

Attorney for President Trump Giuliani calls for investigation into Comey, Mueller - Duration: 10:21.

well you gotta think that and to start your Monday with the week ahead

everything's gonna be alright as we look up gonna be alright right by the way

Rudy Guiliani is a big Yankee pen and he knows one of the best things about being

on the Yankees you get to pick up your own music when you go up to a plate do

you like that music mr. mayor look to the plate here too what if

they'd let me catch in place of Sanchez I would I would I have that music right

any when when the president hired you he hoped meant everything all right he

plays it every time I walk into the

situation with the president and you know any legal peril he might face with

robert muller what is the very latest because we've heard you and Muller have

had conversations and the drop-dead date is September 1st if he if there's gonna

be a sit-down it's gonna have to happen before that because you don't want to be

meddling with the midrash just count a 60 days back from the election so we

that takes us into September at some point we think it should end the

absolutely it should be terminated he should put out his report tell the

American people what he has and they can evaluate if they're entitles of this

information before he shouldn't hold it and try to manipulate the election the

way Comey did I don't think he wants to do that so why did I say September 1st

because a long time ago two months ago when we met with him he

threw out September 1st as a date that he might be able to get the report done

by and does he still sound like that well we haven't talked yet he has not

repeated that since then but he hasn't taken it back right and there's no

reason why it can't be done remember this whole thing about the president

being interviewed Mulla has all the answers we've given them from other

people yes yesterday the confusion about what he said to Flint we clarified that

months ago woody was he was going back - he was Maggie Haberman goes back two

months in the story - something we clarified two months ago here's here's

what happened the president says I never said to Flynn anything about I never

said I never said to call me anything about Flint call me says and he adds

this at the very end Comey says he told me to see if I'd give him a break

basically so we have three defenses to that under article 2 of the Constitution

you can't really question why the president would say something has the

power to say it number two what he was saying it's perfectly justifiable he

didn't say you must you have to I'll fire you if you don't he said consider

it number three he never said lawyers argue like this all we call it arguing

the alternative so we can so it doesn't matter because you say the president

never yeah we went on the law we went on the facts and the whole thing is much

ado about nothing because even if you want to say commis right and the

president doesn't remember correctly what Comey says he acknowledges doesn't

even amount to a violation of anything but also I got to tell you this about

call me call me basically denied at two weeks before he said it under oath which

I only found out from John Dowd well yes so John dad I had a chance to talk to

him on the radio on Friday and he was the one of the presidents of attorneys

and he said when he sat down Robert Muller he said listen I'm gonna give you

everything we want this over with quick and Mon says absolutely let's get over

the quicks we gave him over a million documents and he essentially I'll

paraphrase he felt like he was totally misled by robert muller and he went on

to say he is james comey - when you guys talk well do useful ed the okay do i do

i think there are a lot of problems yes does he do they portray it that way no

it's it's just it's a conversation between an among lawyers Jayne Raskin

does most of the negotiating for us and Quarles does most no negotiation for him

and they are very civil and we've gotten some good things out of it they probably

have also not be that as it may there should right now be an investigation of

Comey Muller and the whole group Quarles who are an investigation on the

investigation absolutely I mean let's go back to the beginning of it it begins

with a phony dossier struck the horror which report which basically casts all

kinds of doubt on what happened with Hillary and then those people are

transformed to the counterintelligence investigation it

never produces a darn thing I am now convinced that the initiation of the

independent counselor was totally illegal there's no crime that's alleged

it was a calm a plot you know the regulation requires a crime they're

still to this climate so we need to see the documents why doesn't the president

D cross I think there's only one way you're gonna get it you got to open an

investigation you got a subpoena them and it has to be an independent counsel

because acident could be because the witnesses will be the Attorney General

the Deputy Attorney General moer call me call me committed perjury

so many times it's a it's a joke I mean how the Republicans agree with you you

have Devin noonas saying that he wants to investigate the collude Hillary

Clinton see if Congress does it they'll just look with a donor Congress they're

obstructing obstructing obstructing it has to be so how about we have a Muller

for them then maybe we should go get a really partisan Republican with 16 very

partisan Republicans all of whom have said things hateful about Hillary

Clinton like like they basically have right you have two simultaneous invest

though I would go for a neutral right sure is it possible the robert muller

has something and you have no idea what he had no why because I've been through

everything I've talked to the president president's an honest man president did

nothing wrong hasn't done anything wrong throughout this he said give him all the

documents John dad will tell you this 1.4 million documents we don't even look

at them we just gave it to him Cohen said he had tapes a couple of our

lawyers got worried what's on the tape friend don't worry I've listened to all

the tapes now behaves vindicated speaking of tapes

Omarosa recorded that conversation with chief of staff John Kelly and it was a

private situation he fires her she records it and now she releases the

tapes is she breaking the law about it in the Situation Room

she certainly violating national security regulations which I think have

the force of law yeah I would think she is I mean I have to look at it more

carefully and is she is she violating every every every bit of trust and that

shit that people should have in someone I mean Donald Trump made her what kind

of ingratitude is this even and you can tell from the tape he

thought she resigned and John Kelly fired it right look I was achieving

staff deputy on a general I would often fire people who that had to be fired the

Today Show just released tapes that shows that he recorded she recorded the

President as well calling her the next day and saying what's going on on Marisa

I didn't know I heard a little of that tape sounds perfectly natural in a

situation where he thought she was going to she was resigning he was even happy

about that most of the things about her never came to him he they don't walk in

and say to the president how much the st. Ambrose you know someone soul eat

something or so-and-so is fighting with this one in the white if you did that

the president couldn't do his job that the chief of staff to handle and for her

to say that Kelly pressured her he said to its non-negotiable that's not

pressuring this is me this is a Marine Corps general if I what no he's not not

exactly gonna have a bedside manner and I kill I think Kelly probably does but

he she she had to be fired she was fired that was if they never put anything bad

about her they never attacked her because he was talking on the tape that

they played yesterday about ethical violations regarding vehicles maybe

money as well but he didn't want to go into the specifics because they we have

these lawyers right here who are gonna who are gonna fix this well and none of

that came out none of that I mean if Kelly wanted to hurt her or anybody

around the Chiefs wanted to hurt her it would have been in The Washington Post

the next day she's misusing this she's misusing that she's her accounts aren't

in order everybody in the White House think she's a backstabber that a little

that did come out that last part but you know so what mr. mayor how would you

give the how would you characterize the president's mindset this weekend you

with all the president play golf great yesterday and then he watched he watched

most of the end of the of the PGA and he was in rare form he was he was

entertaining all of his friends made a bunch of calls they are thanking people

for their support it was it was Donald Trump you know in campaign mode getting

ready for the November and starting to feel pretty good about what

he's won nine out of ten races with all this garbage going on around him I think

we have them on the run I think he's happy that we're calling for an

investigation of of Muller and and and Comey and you're waiting for coat and

you're waiting for a motive that I took you and I think that's one of the

reasons why he put up that tweet on sessions trying to wake them up come on

let's stop being an attorney general here let's let's be equal you've been

investigating us forever no evidence how about we take a look at where there's a

lot a big pile of evidence yeah and and when you talk to the press

do you do you call the president sessions do you call the Attorney

General no he's refused no we would commit with will will communicate to

mullet which usually means Jane Raskin with Jim Quarles if we went to

Rosenstein that would be the person you would appeal to and probably at the end

we did ask for a meeting with him but he he's actually the decision-maker he

writes the report MOA does but then Rosenstein decides what to do cos he

says boss all right still lots more work to do should be a big week should be I

hope so I think this is the week I think all right for what I think I see she'll

give us a decision this week on our counter proposal it's we're coming down

to his looking really bad by interfering in the election and I think he's got to

get it over with by the by the beginning or early September all right

you

ANTI-TRUMP AGENT PETER STRZOK HAS BEEN FIRED - Duration: 10:02.

some breaking news for you into our newsroom right now the FBI has fired

embattled agent Peter Strahm anti-trump texts he exchanged with former FBI

lawyer Lisa Paige as you know the two were having an affair and the

controversy continues struck of course helped leave the FBI's probe into the

Russian interference ahead of the 2016 election strux attorney literally

moments ago issuing a statement and it reads in part the decision to fire

special agent struck is not only a departure from typical bureau practice

but also contradicts director ray's testimony to Congress and his assurances

that the FBI intended to follow its regular process in this and all

personnel matters joining me now to comment on this breaking news

congressman darrell Issa member of both the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs

Committee what's your take on his firing this is pretty big news it is an hurray

for an agency that finally did something right which is recognized there's no

place in the FBI for somebody whose bias whose conduct whose statements show that

they were not willing to be fair and that in fact they compromise the very

integrity or bring into question the integrity FBI so hooray that they didn't

wait any longer they waited a long time yeah this is a 22 year veteran who

displayed clear bias against Trump in those text messages what took so long

well the process of getting rid of anyone in in federal government other

than political appointees is long and laborious they're usually covered by one

or even two different protections the Civil Service Act and unions and the

process goes on forever you might have noticed that at the IRS people fired in

the sort of Lois Lerner era were typically rehired over 200 of them so

the process of firing em is long the bars from rehiring generally aren't

affirmative and this is one of the problems in government you know the

acted specifically for the Veterans Administration to make it easier to fire

people because our veterans were dying for lack of quality care so it is a

problem it continues to be but this is one of those cases in which the goods

were on this individual in no uncertain way and he had really brought shame on

the FBI an agency in which most agents keep their politics and themselves and

keep their biases literally out of their con well with the exception of James

Comey of course yeah exactly and I knew exactly what you meant

he was integral to the bureau for several reasons but two major

investigations obviously the Russia investigation which again there was bias

there and then also the Hillary Clinton email investigation you know Lindsey

Graham has obviously come out and he says that there should be a second

Special Counsel to oversee this because of the concern of the few bad eggs that

you refer to in the FBI that they feel maybe there is a bias here by firing

strucked is that perhaps qualm the concerns of the Muller investigation

being partisan no you really can't do it that way Michael Horowitz the Inspector

General did what he could do under the IG Act but you do need somebody with

subpoena Authority somebody that demands documents many of them outside the

Department of Justice and and from former employees to get to the bottom of

it you can't have an agency put in investigate itself effectively but

particularly when it's the agency that has all the power you might remember

that one of the things that struck did was he held on to his ability to

personally declassify information which meant he could leak information by

declassifying it making it public he held on to a lot of those capabilities

that helped him essentially create a legal way to spy on a candidacy of

President Trump does this further boost then Lindsey Graham's

claim that he believes that a special counsel a second Special Counsel should

be appointed because let's remember you need to have prosecutorial power in

order to continue to you know hold these people accountable and there needs to be

accountability here and sadly within the FBI itself well the

Attorney General oversees all of these and he has not recused himself from

corruption and misconduct within his his agency Department of Justice so it is

completely within the ability of the Attorney General to name an individual

perhaps a US Attorney or some or even a retired US Attorney to investigate this

agency to have full access to have subpoena Authority and to get to the

bottom and the top of all of this past misconduct without it where we the

American people are and even the president can't have confidence in the

Department of Justice and we need that all right congressman darrell Issa thank

you very much and if you're just joining us once again breaking news Peter strike

fired who once led the Russia investigation into the interference of

the 2016 election developer there huh huge 20 minutes past the hour get more

on that we'll give it to you in the meantime this morning how did an airline

workers steal a passenger plane and fly it around for more than an hour before

crashing how was he able to do that in a post-911 world yeah that's a question

you need answered an incredible video to show you this morning details on where

this happened next

there was the breaking news now the Washington Post broke at Fox News now

confirming Peters truck has been fired from the FBI Peter struck was the heart

at the heart rather in 2016 of all the investigations led by the FBI under the

Department of Justice that includes Hillary Clinton's use of a private email

server he also served as really the nexus for Bob Muller Special Counsel

investigation that was looking at Donald Trump's presidential campaign and

connections to the Russian government that were alleged and have been alleged

by many thus far part of the reason why this timing is so interesting is because

in about two weeks Bruce or is set to testify before a

House committee now Bruce or works for the Department of Justice as well former

associate deputy AG will testify on the hill that's going to happen at the end

of August August 28th three days later is the deadline September 1 that Rudy

Giuliani gave over the weekend saying Bob mother's got to cut a deal by

September 1 or they will not do any sort of deal during the months that follow

because of the midterm elections that will happen two months in a week after

that point so the FBI declining to comment on this breaking news but Peter

struck hood had been employed by the FBI was moved about a year ago I believe the

Department of Human Resources but still a paid employee of the FBI testified in

front of the hill about a month ago is now no longer employed by the Federal

Bureau of Investigation so we're just putting all this together we're trying

to figure out what the timeline means or perhaps does not mean but that's the

headline of the hour Peter struck fired by the FBI now

Peter struck fired over anti-trump text messages he exchanged with his lover

ELISA page during the 2016 presidential campaign chief intelligence

correspondent Catherine Herridge is live in Alexandria Virginia where she's been

covering the Paul Manafort trial and now another twist Catherine what are you

hearing well thanks Julie in the last few

minutes Fox News has obtained a statement from the lawyer for FBI agent

Peter struck and the lawyer confirmed that he was fired by the FBI's deputy

director Friday afternoon and the statement alleges that the deputy

director overruled the findings of the FBI's internal disciplinary office known

as the Office of Professional Responsibility that had recommended a

suspension as well as a demotion for Peter struck because of the

antitrump text messages I want to draw your attention to a key section of the

statement from Struck's lawyer and it reads

the decision to fire Special Agents truck is not only a departure from

typical Bureau practice but contradicts director Ray's testimony to Congress and

his assurances that the FBI intended to follow this regular process in this and

all personnel matters the decision should be deeply troubling to all

Americans that's a key section because it is

absolutely accurate that publicly and privately the FBI director has said that

the bureau got into trouble during the 2016 campaign because director Comey

failed to follow proper procedures and practices and he said on his watch they

would do so under all circumstances I think it's also important to note that

struck was at the center of not only the email kids kind of in the driver's seat

but also in the driver's seat of the FBI's opening of the Russia collusion

case and also kind of in the driver's seat with struck was deputy director

Andrew McCabe and Andrew McCabe was fired earlier this year for lying to

federal agents about his contacts with the media so basically at this point we

have today two key figures very senior figures within the FBI who have been

both fired for cause in the case of deputy director Andrew McCabe it was for

lying to federal investigators that is a crime that could be prosecuted and in

the case of FBI agent Peter struck it was at the decision of the deputy

director who overruled the finding of the bureau's internal disciplinary

office Julie catherine herridge thing

joining us now to analyze the coverage of the mullah problem any of you I just

did with Rudy Giuliani guy Benson political editor at Town Hall comma Fox

News contributor and co-host of Benson and Hart from Fox News Radio Susan

Ferruccio chief congressional correspondent for the Washington

Examiner and Capri Cafaro former Democratic senator Ohio who teaches at

American University Susan was the fact that Rudy Johnny is constantly on the

air and we appreciate him coming on today and Muller Rose running for the

clothes shop give the White House a big advantage in terms of media coverage

well he's on the air all the time and he's always defending the president and

he's willing to get out there and go on you know various networks to talk about

his case and I think he does a fairly good job I know people say he's all over

the map and that you today talk to him about whether he was you know

disoriented or incoherent lovers right but you know he's accused of that but

you know he's he's pretty articulate and defending the president and he does

point out the very important fact that there is some inherent media bias that's

influencing a lot of the coverage and he's getting that argument out there and

I think that he's making a very important argument on behalf of the

president okay what did you think of some of the terms that he used to

describe journalists excited the New York Times report he said he's a moron

and he talked about comparing journalists to Peter struck which of

course I took note of and overall the points that he was making well Rudy

gives colorful interviews there are not dull interviews with Rudy Giuliani and I

agree he's very accessible sometimes I think he gets himself into some trouble

and contradicts himself to walk it back right so an example this a few weeks ago

I was co-hosting outnumbered on Fox News Channel and I made a few points about an

interview he had given earlier in the day he called in live to the show and we

were on with 2025 minutes straight my plan not plan we blew out commercial

breaks and we had them for 25 consecutive minutes because he wanted to

you know push back and get his message out there I mean he is definitely

definitely eager to go fisticuffs with the press he was also on the radio on

Friday he and Jay Sekulow two presidential lawyers co-hosted Sean

Hannity's yeah that was extraordinary I have to do

a double take when I saw that first reported Hannity look we know that

Hannity is very cozy with team Trump that's no secret no one's trying to say

otherwise having the the Trump lawyer like legal team guest host your radio

show is a new level of coziness I guess I was I was surprised by that but hey

apparently they were they had a great time and they were very funny as the

reviews all right they can take the act on the road Capri there are a lot of as

I mentioned highly personal media attacks against Rudy Giuliani there's

that puppy's reputation or does it just divert arrows that otherwise would be

aimed at president Trump I think there's enough arrows to go around as mayor

Giuliani actually did point out in your interview that you know a lot of the

same kind of criticism that has been thrown at Rudy Giuliani has also been

thrown at President Trump so I don't necessarily think that you know

criticizing Rudy Giuliani for having some kind of mental incapacitation or

you know whatever you know the media's is framing is taking away from Donald

Trump but rather I think you know there is there is undoubtedly media bias

surrounding the Moller investigation Rudy Giuliani and president Trump and I

think it all plays into the same narrative that's a fair-minded

observation I've got to get another break we will see you all of it later

coming up Omarosa getting half an hour on Meet the Press today she trashes

Donald Trump in a new book after being fired Sean Spicer is on deck and later a

very rare apology from Stephen Colbert

I'm erosive marigold Newman is out with a new book savaging President Trump who

made her famous by putting her on the apprentice then fired her from White

House job in December he said on Meet the Press this morning that she'd heard

a tape from apprentice days of Trump allegedly using the n-word once I heard

it for myself it was confirmed what I feared the most that Donald Trump is a

con and has been masquerading as someone who is actually open to engaging with

diverse communities when he talks that way the way he did on this tape it

confirmed that he is truly a racist president had a brief but pungent

response when a reporter asked about his former aide joining us now is former

White House press Terry Sean Spicer author of the new book the briefing

politics the press and the president all right so given that Omarosa was fired

just eight months ago from the White House and she's trying to sell a book

about the president which happens to be called unhinged how seriously should the

media take her charges not not at all look this is someone who says that she

resigns moments after she left the White House now she says she was fired this is

someone who said the president wasn't a racist now she says he was she says that

the president was a great man they accomplished a lot now she calls it a

question what's changed in those eight months she went on the record right

after she left the White House specifically talking about how she left

the White House why she left the White House and what she thought of the

president selling a boat well he was gonna say the only thing that's changed

is she's now looking to make money off of it and sell a book we're having gone

through this process myself my guess is she sat down with publishers who said if

you'll say the following we can give you more money so it is complete opportunism

and it's completely false Sarah Huckabee Sanders says the book is

riddled with lies and false accusations from this kernel white House employee

now it's interesting because amorosa said when they when this stuff started

to leak out that she had heard she knew she'd heard herself she told NPR she had

hurt herself Trump using the n-word back in the apprentice days

and then in the book she attributed to sources who supposedly had a tape of

this and then she said that I make the press again today how credible is that

accusation she's not at all and how I think that the other point that's

fascinating to me is that for all these news organizations to cry the use of the

word fake news and talk about the need to be using facts and pursuing the truth

here they are taking someone who has been largely discredited by her own

words within a matter of months and putting her on a esteemed

political talk show as a lead guest wishing her well and passing along

accolades on the book as opposed to recognizing what this is it's

opportunism and it's completely false you say oh she's absolutely right but my

point is is that look at the questions that are gonna ask look at the spotlight

that they're putting it on her these are the same people who ignored her during

her time at the White House who didn't deem her credible who clearly through

her own words and interviews and contradictions is not credible and yet

these members of the media who decry the use of fake news who talk about the need

to pursue facts and the truth give her a platform and highlight her because why

because she's attacking Donald Trump that's why as a kind of a fringe guy

came out and continued the conversation that she had had what's your white house

praising him none of these people would have her on their shows and none of them

would talk about her but because she's looking to make a buck they're willing

to put her on and expose her because as long as you're being critical of Trump

then they'll give you a platform but the bigger issue that I think is fascinating

after that interview is she taped the chief of staff of the White House in the

Situation Room clearly a violation of every security protocol that she signed

which he got us when she applied for a security clearance and she asked one

question about that on that show not asked about undermining her own security

clearance all right and since you brought that up we have the tape as

played on NBC this morning let's take a look I think it's important to

understand that you could make this a friendly departure we can all be you

know you can look at look at your time here and the White House is a year of

service of the nation and then you can go on without any type

of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation

he's boasting about this tape and she says that John Kelly threatened her with

those words I think John Kemeny they treated her with the level of respect

considering a lot of the concerns that there were rolling around the White

House in terms of her recording private conversations in terms of inappropriate

use of government resources and the treatment that she had of other

employees John Kelly gave her an opportunity to walk away with her

dignity and respect and how she pays it back as she brings a personal recording

device into the Situation Room in the White House in massive violation of

every security protocol that should be the story right now I mean the idea that

you are willing to go to that lengths to do that now who knows what else is

happening but that in itself is a massive security violation okay so let

me ask you this before we run out of time she says that after she was fired

the Trump campaign offered her $15,000 a month she would sign us non-disclosure

form and she calls that hush money yeah look here's the reality everyone who

worked on that campaign and and it was part of it signed a nondisclosure

agreement to begin with its standard operating procedure that she had signed

for multiple times before it's nothing more than the procedures that she had

followed before and clearly violated but she left the White House praising the

president I think the campaign wanted to to continue a relationship with her

based on the comments that she made leaving the White House had they known

that she couldn't be trusted had they known that she would turn on the

president who has frankly given her the entire platform whether it was the

apprentice of the White House they probably wouldn't come off through that

job well by the way but it is it was standard procedure for everyone in her

going back multiple multiple opportunities whether it's The

Apprentice the campaign and otherwise she had signed non-disclosure agreements

that made very similar language each time by the way we talked about this

supposed and more tape which nobody has heard it's been this big rumor but one

of the sources she quotes in the book is Frank Luntz who was come out publicly

and said he never heard it he never told her that and she never bought a check

with him in the writing of the book so if she now is so troubled by the

president's racial language and look I mean she was the president did hire her

so he did sort of give her this stature before he decided to let her go through

John Kelly you count for the fact that she did he

that the Donald Trump did so much for her career as an african-american woman

I mean I think that again I think if you're looking for contradictions it's

the entire book is clearly riddled with them which was read I've read yes it is

over and over again from from the mere fact that she talks about the fact that

she left the White House and said that she resigned now she says she was fired

she says that the president was someone that did a lot for the african-american

community he lowered unemployment he did stuff with the historically black

universities and colleges he has done a lot for opportunities in that community

and yet now and she was so proud of it during her time she was very public in

her defense of what she had done what the president has done and in a matter

of months the only thing has changed is her son getting a book deal that's it

Sean Spicer thanks very much for coming in to Sunday you bet thanks Rodney we

appreciate it more on this a little later in the program but I had on media

buzz the late-night host who totally botched the joke about Jonah Goldberg

but first Twitter's founder gets hammered for

refusing to join the other tech giants in banning Alex Jones

he says vetting the Infowars founder is a job for journalists

it has to be more than coincidence that for tech giant Apple and Facebook and

Spotify and Google's YouTube band Alex Jones on the same day they said he had

violated their rules against hate speech false information or conspiracy theories

with Twitter the only major social media outlet refusing to go along and the

Infowars founder is denouncing the move I am being unperfect like out of 1984 I

am literally being disappeared we have a high tech lynch mob in Fallon faulted

really cyber warfare and stalking warfare trying to have him removed off

the web we're back with the panel guy Benson what do you make of these four

tech giants acting on the same day against Alex Jones and do you think they

bowed to outside pressure well I think first Alex Jones is one of the most vile

actors in the media landscape in America what he's put the Sandy Hook families

through his skin crawling I mean at least for a time that it was a hose that

there was no White House child actors and it wasn't even real didn't have

something similar about the Parkland High School students and survivors or

tractors so he's he's an appalling person what worries me about what we're

seeing on this subject from big tech is if the plan is to go after the truly

extreme fringe who gets to decide what the definition of Fringe is and will we

get mission creep and will the Fringe start moving closer and closer to the

mainstream based on ideological differences and are we going to apply

those rules Eataly and fairly for example if Alex Jones is out as a

hateful bigot and conspiracy theorist should Louis Farrakhan also be out as

the same thing who gets to make these choices and shouldn't we as

conservatives in my case trust a very liberal area like Silicon Valley and

those executives to make these choices fairly this is a classic free speech

debate because in the past particularly Facebook Twitter and Apple have said you

know it's not our responsibility it's a platform anybody gets to use it and now

that's become untenable because of Russian disinformation and lies and so

now they are admitting that they have responsibility to police their content

in the becomes how do they do it well they're

private companies too they can allow whoever they want and kick out who I

think so first issue publicly traded with their private sector company so how

do you decide and I think but that's part of the debate right now Isis guy

was saying there is mission creep I think there is already evidence of that

if you look at people who have been shadow banned from Twitter or who have

had YouTube videos taken down for seemingly inoffensive content but maybe

it was conservative leaning there's already a threat of that happening so

how do you define what should be kicked off of a social platform is it inciting

violence what I think are David French had a good New York Times column today

or yesterday about why not use the libel standards can stick to the First

Amendment and stay with current libel standards there needs to be a real

conversation because otherwise it is going to be basically probably banning

more conservative thought and that's not that's not right and it's not free

speech right and one exception as I mentioned at the top is Twitter's

founder and CEO Jack Dorsey he defended the position of allowing out stones to

remain on that platform in a radio interview with Sean Hannity we do not

shadow ban according to political ideology or viewpoint or content period

we read every model that we have on the network is really looking at the

behaviors on the network so he is taking a very different position even though

Twitter has since admitted that yes some of the things that he's tweeted have

been taken down did violate Twitter's own standards right but I mean I think

that he's Twitter is more sticking to the line that they are maintaining Alex

Jones because he's not by and large violating their Terms one of the

interesting things about the YouTube in particular was that apparently Alex

Jones was under some kind of a 90 day posting ban and because he violated that

specific thing and I think there was a 60 day ban for one of the other maybe it

was Facebook they those outlets pointed to that specific violation as one of the

reasons why they that Alex Jones violated their terms and conditions the

hate speech thing is really where it gets I think Harry I think there's not

an issue here when it comes to First Amendment because as we discussed you

know these are private entities no different than frankly the NFL and and

some of the debate about what is the amendment there nearly say I think that

you are right definitely that these private entities have the right to ban

and censor whomever they want that doesn't make it the right thing to do

secondly this is a tough question for all of us to wrestle with to what extent

do platforms like Facebook and Twitter today represent the modern public square

and is that actually Justice Kennedy actually issued an opinion surrounding

that basically saying that social media is you know the global public square at

this point so there's no question that they it's not a monopoly but they are

crucially important to public discourse so let me put up a tweet from Twitter

Jack Dorsey one of several uses accounts like geralyn's acknowledges can often

sensationalize issues and spread unsubstantiated rumors so it's critical

journalists document validated refutes its information directly so people can

form their own opinions Susan a lot of journalists went wild over there saying

hey buddy it's not our job to clean up your platform you have to be responsible

for to Allah that is what Twitter has become it has become a forum really if

you look at you know journalists use Twitter all day long to argue and post

news it's it's really kind of moved to the social platform so I don't think

that's a that's that's I think that's a reasonable thing for him to call on on

reporters or journalists to refute some of this stuff otherwise you're going to

who's going to make these decisions yes why not leave it all out there

responsibility I don't think it substitutes for the judgment of these

executives and just briefly Capri you can argue this storm publicity has

helped Alex Jones Apple made a show pudding but still carries his app which

serves number three it's the top trending app on Google Play right and

and you know Zuckerberg has actually made some statements about this

essentially saying that he thinks that Alex Jones may have wanted to get banned

in order to continue to raise his profile and obviously that's happening

and he's getting a lot of viewers through periscope which is part of

Twitter's platform the man is not a conservative he is a vile human being in

my opinion he's a vile conspiracy theorist well there's been a lot of

conspiracy theories including that Pizza Gate conspiracy to apologize for

spreading one more break out after that Omarosa tells NBC as you heard earlier

she was complicit in the Trump presidency which he now announces is

terrible and awful and our Vil our panel weighs in on her credibility
