Trump news on Youtube Jan 4 2019

Washington is reportedly searching for a venue for the 2nd North Korea-U.S. summit, that's

expected to take place sometime this month or the next.

CNN, citing two sources familiar with the organization, reported earlier this week that

teams had been sent to multiple locations during the last few weeks of 2018.

U.S. officials have not formally shared these locations with North Korea.

Trump expressed hopes of meeting Kim early this year, the North Korean leader, in his

New Year's speech, also said he is ready to sit down with his American counterpart again

anytime.

Vietnam, Indonesia, Hawaii, Mongolia and the demilitarized zone at the inter-Korean border

have been mentioned by sources and experts as potential summit venues.

"I Don't Know Anyone Who Voted for Trump" | Dr. Steven J. Allen - Duration: 2:47.

America is more divided than ever.

Geographically, the political left clusters in cities while the right tends to live in

rural areas.

And we don't consume the same media.

America's so-called "mainstream media" are all left leaning; conservative media have

a few large platforms, but they're easy to ignore if you're not already inclined

to agree with them.

And we don't learn from the same sources.

In academia, students can't hear conservative viewpoints: nationally there are six liberal

professors for every conservative one; at Harvard, the ratio is 51 to one.

If you don't know any Trump supporters, it's easy to convince yourself they're

all stupid and half of them are "deplorables."

But perhaps your lack of interaction misleads you.

If you're on the left, you might think that conservatives, who are more likely to be religious

and less likely to accept global warming theory, don't understand science.

But you'd be wrong.

A study by Yale Law School Professor Dan Kahn found Tea Partiers actually had the superior

understanding of science!

He confessed, "I fully expected I'd be shown a modest negative correlation between

identifying with the Tea Party and science comprehension.

But then again, I don't know a single person who identifies with the Tea Party."

If you're on the left, you might think that conservatives who oppose government welfare

programs, don't care about the poor.

Not so.

A study by social scientist Arthur Brooks found that those who are less likely to support

redistribution are more likely to be charitable themselves.

If you're on the left, you might think that conservatives, who regularly talk about far-left

political violence, are more likely to think of you as a threat to America.

The exact opposite.

A Georgetown University poll found it's Democrats who are more likely to believe,

quote, "that members of the opposing party are a threat to the United States and its

people."

In a study testing how well liberals and conservatives understand each other, social psychologist

Jonathan Haidt found conservatives were consistently more accurate in predicting how liberals think

about moral issues while liberals, especially those self-describing as "very liberal",

were consistently less accurate in predicting how conservatives think about moral issues.

Inside the left-wing bubble, people are protected from opinions and facts that run counter to

the orthodoxy with which they're comfortable.

Perhaps if they'd learned more, they might find Trump supporters are everywhere -- and

not as evil or dumb as those with an agenda would want you to believe.

Paul Whelans arrest poses opportunities for Putin and Trump opinion CNN - Duration: 2:24.

Paul Whelans arrest poses opportunities for Putin and Trump opinion CNN

Lost on no one is the fact the arrest comes less than a month after alleged spy Maria Butina in an American court to engaging in a conspiracy against the United States. Many experts have whether Whelans arrest is part of an effort by Russian President Vladimir Putin to initiate a "spy swap" and have Butina returned to Moscow.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday that "the American people should know were very focused on this at the most senior level of the United States Government." that US Ambassador to Russia John Huntsman paid a visit to the prison where Whelan is being held and that he spoke to the Whelan family, which says he was in Russia only for a vacation. President Donald Trump has yet to issue an official statement.

While there is no word yet of an official prisoner swap, and we dont know how Trump might respond to such an offer, there is a lot at stake for both world leaders. Indeed, a swap could prove politically beneficial to both Putin and Trump.

For his part, Putins success in freeing Butina would potentially ward off continued embarrassment that has resulted from the public exposure of the alleged spys efforts. In her plea agreement, to forge relationships with powerful US political officials for the benefit of the Russian Federation. She has yet to be sentenced, but will likely face some jail time.

for attempting to infiltrate American society with spies working without diplomatic cover, any instance in which their efforts are exposed serves as a black eye for a country whose intelligence services remain among the most proficient in the world.

Dispensing with Butina would also potentially serve to benefit Trump and his political party. The alleged spy stands accused of working to infiltrate the GOP and groups, like National Rifle Association, of a Russian leader. One Republican activist Paul Erickson faces for his association with Butina, and she has agreed to cooperate with law enforcement on any investigations in which she might be useful. Booting her out of the country would effectively end that ongoing cooperation, possibly sparing the GOP from any new revelations of wrongdoing by its members.

Not only is Butina likely to be used as a bargaining chip, but the return of Whelan to the United States would be an added political boon for Trump. If past is prologue, the reality television host turned President will no doubt seek to exploit the return of a former Marine.

Who can forget the air of suspense that was created as Trump and his attorney, Rudy Giuliani, the release of three hostages from North Korea last May? Trump did the same with the release of an American pastor in Turkey last October tweeting incessantly about the case and the released victim before cameras in the Oval Office.

To be clear, the release of these prisoners was a blessing. And the President certainly deserves credit for his work in securing their return. However, he simply cannot help but politicize these solemn occasions whenever they occur. I expect nothing less with Whelan.

Without question, returning the former Marine to the US is something we all want. The , so there is little doubt in my mind he is simply caught up in international gamesmanship.

And as someone who has worked many international kidnapping investigations, I know that the families of those detained couldnt care less about the reasons behind the release of their loved ones. They simply want them back.

However, as many of us continue to watch the Trump Putin relationship with great suspicion, we cannot lose sight of the various ulterior motives that could be at work here, even as we look forward to welcoming Whelan home.

Newly-elected Democrat threatens Trump: We're going to impeach that motherf - Duration: 10:59.

Newly-elected Democrat threatens Trump: We're going to impeach that motherfucker

A liberal congresswoman who boasted in a foul-mouthed itrade that the new Democratic House leadership will impeach President Donald Trump doubled down Friday morning on Twitter, refusing to apologize.

'I will always speak truth to power. Rashida Tlaib tweeted a day after taking her seat in Congress.

'This is not just about Donald Trump,' she claimed. 'This is about all of us. In the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise.'.

Tlaib, who is the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress, made the remarks at a Thursday night party hosted by the liberal group MoveOn. com.

Speaking in a dimly-lit room, Tlaib told a cheering crowd that she had told one of her young sons: 'We're going to impeach the motherfucker!'. She made the foul-mouthed remark while recalling a conversation she had with her son after getting elected.

'People love you, and you win,' she told the crowds. 'And when your son looks at you and says: "Mumma look, you won, bullies don't win.

And I said: "Baby they don't, because we're going to go in there and impeach the motherf***er.

Tlaib had earlier penned an op-ed for the Detroit Free Press alongside John Bonifaz, a constitutional lawyer and founder of the 'Impeach Donald Trump Now' campaign in which the pair issued the same demand.

'President Donald Trump is a direct and serious threat to our country. 'On an almost daily basis, he attacks our Constitution, our democracy, the rule of law and the people who are in this country.

'His conduct has created a constitutional crisis that we must confront now,' they wrote.

The pair also dismiss the idea of waiting for Robert Mueller to finish his investigation before beginning impeachment proceedings, and say it would be a betrayal of the American people to wait until the 2020 election to unseat him.

'This is not just about Donald Trump. This is about all of us. What should we be as a nation? Who should we be as a people?,' they said. 'In the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise.

We must rise to defend our Constitution, to defend our democracy, and to defend that bedrock principle that no one is above the law, not even the President of the United States.

'Each passing day brings more pain for the people most directly hurt by this president, and these are days we simply cannot get back. 'The time for impeachment proceedings is now.

Her fiery remarks came as fellow Democrat Brad Sherman, of California, used his first day in office to file an impeachment resolution against Trump.

Sherman introduced an identical bill in 2017, charging that Trump obstructed justice when he fired FBI Director James Comey just months after moving into the White House.

The resolution accuses Trump of 'threatening, and then terminating' Comey because he knew the FBI was investigating then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and 'conducting one or more investigations into Russian state interference in the 2016 campaign.

Sherman told the Los Angeles Times that 'there is no reason' Congress shouldn't consider impeachment: 'Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country.

Jim Jordan confirmed that Sherman had filed his bill, tweeting: 'We knew they couldn't help themselves. Rep. Sherman files articles of impeachment on the President. Dems are more focused on stopping Trump than building the Wall and helping the country.'.

Newly installed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the 'TODAY' show this week that she doesn't want to see an impeachment 'for political reasons,' but cautioned that politics also won't prevent her from calling a vote if it's justified.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll in November found that just 33 per cent of voters want Trump impeached. But 61 per cent of Democrats are eager to see it in 2019.

A December Harvard CAPS/Harris poll found 39 per cent of voters want to see the president fired.

Pelosi also stepped up pressure on Trump after passing a spending bill that would end the government shutdown but without including $5. 6billion for his border wall.

She said Trump and Senate Republicans should 'take yes for an answer' and approve the border bill, which was virtually identical to a plan the Senate adopted on a voice vote last month.

'We're not doing a wall. Does anyone have any doubt that we're not doing a wall?' Pelosi told reporters at a news conference Thursday night.

Pelosi, who was elected speaker earlier Thursday, also took a shot a Trump, calling his proposal 'a wall between reality and his constituents.

The Democratic package to end the shutdown includes a bill to temporarily fund the Department of Homeland Security at current levels - with $1. 3 billion for border security, - through February 8 as bipartisan talks would continue. It was approved 239-192.

The largely party-line votes came after Trump made a surprise appearance at the White House briefing room pledging to keep up the fight for the wall.

It was his first appearance behind the podium, that other presidents have used for press conferences, in the nearly two years since he took office.

Surrounded by border agents, including prolific Fox News guest Brandon Judd, he insisted his wall was necessary for national security.

'You can call it a barrier. You can call it whatever you want. But essentially, we need protection in our country,' Trump declared. 'We're going to make it good. The people of our country want it.'.

He left after roughly ten minutes without taking questions from reporters, despite the fact that the gathering had been billed as a 'briefing' with White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders.

Trump then posted a meme showing his face and the words 'The Wall is Coming'.

Mitt Romney Is Not A "Resistance Hero," So Stop Praising Him For Calling Out Trump - Duration: 3:46.

For the last several days after Mitt Romney pinned his exceptionally weak op-ed critiquing

Donald Trump for not using manners, um, there've been too many on the left.

And in fact, MSNBC is probably the biggest culprit here on the left, trying to make Mitt

Romney a hero.

I mean, hell, MSNBC had a graphic yesterday that referred to Mitt Romney is one of the

new mavericks coming into the US Senate.

Yeah.

This 71 year old millionaire.

A worth $250 million, I think.

Uh, yeah.

He has the new maverick.

He's going to be the savior of the left in the Senate because he didn't like the way

Donald Trump spoke to people.

Mitt Romney is not a hero.

Mitt Romney is not a turncoat.

He's not a trader to Republicans, which is what Fox News is trying to say.

Everybody right now is trying to put some kind of label on Mitt Romney and it's either

hero of the resistance on Msnbc or a traitor to the Republicans over on Fox News.

The truth is that neither of those are true.

Mitt Romney admitted so himself in the actual op-ed that I'm assuming at this point, nobody

took the time to read.

The man clearly said that he agrees with the policies of Donald Trump.

He agrees with the deregulation.

He agrees with the packing of conservative justices for lifetime appointments onto our

courts, reshaping those for generations.

He agrees with the tax cuts.

He agrees with the hard line stance on immigration and MSNBC is dumb enough to sit there and

put them on a graphic and say he's the new maverick.

Thank God I don't watch that network because I'm pretty sure I would have a stroke anytime

I turned it on.

Luckily there's people on twitter who posts these screenshots talking about how ridiculous

it is and that's how I find out what MSNBC is talking about.

Same thing with Fox News, but this is insanity.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mitt Romney is not a hero to anyone.

Mitt Romney is out there for Mitt Romney and he's going to be just like jeff flake or John

McCain.

He's going to talk a big game in public or in this case in writing.

I doubt Romney would ever say these words out loud and then he's going to go to the

Senate and he's going to do it.

McCain and flake did, and he's going to vote with him 87% or more of the time, just like

every other republican out there.

There's going to be no difference in voting record.

There is no difference in policy whatsoever.

Romney, he admitted it.

He just doesn't like the way Trump says things and he was a little too harsh.

Maybe use some manners, maybe some pleases and thank you's thrown out there.

That's it.

That was Romney's critique, and if you're dumb enough to think that that makes him some

kind of hero of the anti Trump resistance, then you obviously don't understand how devastating

all of these policies that Romney is pushing our to this country because when it comes

to policy, there is no difference between a Mitt Romney, John McCain, when he was still

in the Senate.

Jeff Flake, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul or Donald Trump.

Every one of them wants to do the exact same things.

It's just that some of them aren't willing to go on twitter and insult another human

being's intelligence.

Literally, the only difference between Trump and every other republican in Washington DC.

Republicans Scramble To Hire Lawyers To Fight Possible Trump Impeachment - Duration: 4:16.

According to Axios report, or Mike Allen, Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee

have actually posted a job opening within the judiciary committee for a lawyer, somebody

with Supreme Litigation experience, because Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee

are already taking a defensive position, preparing for a possible Donald Trump impeachment.

Hearing.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee want to hire a lawyer or possibly multiple

lawyers to go ahead and fight off Donald Trump's impeachment hearings that may or may not even

happen at this point.

So there's several things to take away from this.

First, it could just be that Republicans are acting preemptively.

Maybe they had some foresight and thought, you know what, this is something we need to

do just to cross the t's and dot the i's.

It could be that these republicans know for a fact the Democrats are planning impeachment

and they may have a pretty solid case.

Could be either one of those.

But here's what it definitely tells us.

It tells us that impeachment is not going to happen.

And I say that because I'm not thinking Republicans are going to get a great lawyer here by any

means.

Um, I'm saying that because they're defensive position here, they're preemptive defensive

position shows that they're not going to go along with the Democrats should they choose

to impeach.

And that's, that's kind of the end of it.

If we can't get some Republicans to jump ship, we can't impeach.

We can't remove from office.

And I know this is the house judiciary committee looking for lawyers, not the Senate, but if

we can't flip people in the house, how in the hell are we going to flip 15 people in

the Senate?

It's not going to happen now.

That doesn't mean that it couldn't happen.

Let me, let me rephrase it like that.

It's obviously something that could, right?

I mean, if enough evidence were to emerge and that evidence was damning enough and it

showed very severe corundum a criminal conduct by Donald Trump.

Yeah, you could probably get Republicans to go ahead and go along with it.

If not, we're going to be looking at a situation like we looked at with Bill Clinton in the

late nineties.

House votes to impeach Senate doesn't vote to convict because no Democrats were willing

to jump ship and go with the Republicans to get him out of office at what happened after

that.

Clinton's approval rating went through the roof, through the roof after he was impeached

by the house.

Could we be looking at a similar situation with Democrats in the House of Representatives?

It's possible, but I don't think at this point there's enough or really any republicans willing

to cross that line and say, you know what?

I think you're right.

I think impeachment is the way to go.

And even after we get the evidence, after the Mueller report comes out, after we get

more evidence from these New York investigations and now the FBI investigation into Trump hiring

undocumented immigrants and handing them greencards fake green cards and fake social security

numbers up in Bedminster.

There's a lot of investigations that could yield impeachable offenses.

In fact, based on what we know right now with the, uh, campaign finance violation, he's

already committed an impeachable offense and Republicans don't seem to care.

The next two years are going to be very trying.

And I don't know that regardless of what comes from these investigations, that there will

ever be enough Republicans in Washington dc with the fortitude and the courage and the

wherewithal and the actual desire to protect the institutions of the United States to jump

ship and remove this man via impeachment as it stands right now, I don't see that happening

at all.

Trump Lies And Says Voters Are Calling To Express Support For His Border Wall - Duration: 4:41.

mpYesterday in the White House press briefing room, Donald Trump kind of gave a little impromptu,

a rant to reporters in the room where he told them that he is never throughout his entire

presidency, gotten as much support for the wall as he has in the last two weeks.

Now, obviously he's bringing this up because we are in day 14, I believe, of the federal

government partial shutdown, which is 100 percent donald Trump's doing because he wants

$5,000,000,000 for his border wall or border slats.

He doesn't even know what it's going to be anymore.

But he was willing to do this partial government shutdown until he gets that $5 billion.

So he was trying to convince the reporters in that room that the public is absolutely

crazy about the idea for a wall.

They love it and they're all calling him at the White House to let him know that he's

also getting the tweets, just getting the emails.

Uh, somehow.

But here's the thing, he did specifically say that people have been calling the White

House over the last two weeks to let them know how much they love the idea of the wall.

Here's the problem with that.

It's an absolute lie and we can easily verify that that is not happening because the White

House switchboard was shut down as part of the partial government shutdown, and the reporters

know that if you were to call the White House right now, even to express your love and admiration

for Donald Trump's fictitious wall, you would get a prerecorded message and that is it.

You wouldn't be able to talk to the president.

You wouldn't be able to tell them how much you love his wall idea and nobody would be

there to relay that message even if you could.

So Trump in that room full of reporters, once again, lied to their faces about getting all

this support for his wall.

The truth is, yes, there are plenty of conservatives on twitter, including those little fly by

nighters who's 15 minutes of fame is almost up.

People like Ben Shapiro, Tomi Lahren, Charlie Kirk, Candice Owens, they all support the

wall.

Yeah, absolutely.

And again, their clock is reading about 14, 59 at this point, so they're almost halfway

out the door right now.

You also have some other hard core Republicans who say, yes, we need the wall.

You have the MAGA hat wearing supporters tweeting about how much we need the wall, but the majority

of people in this country, the rational thinking once they do not support the idea of a border

wall, in fact the latest polling shows that less than half of the country actually thinks

the wall is a good idea and those numbers continue to drop as more and more people realize

that Mexico is not going to pay for it.

So Donald Trump actually shutting down the government to get the funding for his border

wall is making less people support the idea of a wall because now they realize Mexico's

not the one who's going to pay for it.

And I gotta say though, how gullible were you to begin with?

If you ever thought Mexico was going to pay for this border wall, they made it expressly

clear from the first time Donald Trump ever said that, that it wasn't going to happen.

Trump himself never believed it would, and now he's out there telling us this nonsense

that no, they're paying for it through the savings that we're going to get from this

new trade deal that I have worked out that actually hasn't even been passed by Congress,

so it's technically not even a thing at the moment.

This man is a serial liar.

There is nothing that he is even capable of telling the truth about and more and more

people seem to be waking up to that.

They seem to be understanding what's happening with this man.

Unfortunately at this point, not enough of them yet understand that he is incapable of

telling them the truth.

I think as this year goes on and as we plow further into the Trump administration a tenure,

I think more and more people are going to understand that because it's not just the

big things that Donald Trump is ready to lie about.

It's quite literally at this point, every single thing he talks about, big, small, consequential,

inconsequential.

There is nothing that this man will not lie about.
