DONALD TRUMP SENT A STUNNING MESSAGE THAT JUST WIPED THE SMILE OFF NANCY PELOSI'S

FACE

Nancy Pelosi was the toast of Washington.

The fake news media rushed to publish fawning articles and glowing headlines crediting her

with forcing Donald Trump to end the government shutdown.

But the celebration was short lived as Trump sent Pelosi a stunning message that just wiped

the smile off her face.

Donald Trump agreed to reopen the government for three weeks so Congress could negotiate

a deal on border security that must contain funding for a physical barrier on the Southern

border.

Cable networks and major newspapers raced to push out stories claiming Trump had "capitulated"

or "surrendered" on the border wall.

However, that was not entirely true.

Trump set the table for three weeks of negotiations where he could still win money for the wall.

The President tweeted, "I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall.

This was in no way a concession.

It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with

the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it's off to the races!"

Trump also threatened, once again, to declare a national emergency and order the military

to build the wall if Democrats do not agree to compromise.

President Trump added, "21 days goes very quickly.

Negotiations with Democrats will start immediately.

Will not be easy to make a deal, both parties very dug in.

The case for National Security has been greatly enhanced by what has been happening at the

Border & through dialogue.

We will build the Wall!"

This is a threat Democrats should take seriously.

"The president's commitment is to protect the nation, and he'll do it either with

or without Congress," White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told Fox News correspondent

John Roberts.

If the government shuts down again in 21 days, this time it will be on Nancy Pelosi, Chuck

Schumer and the rest of the Democrats.

President Trump bargained in good faith and is merely asking Pelosi and Schumer to fund

barrier fences which they both had voted for back in 2006.

Trump offered four different honest proposals to fund the wall and address the Democrats

immigration priorities such as protecting so-called "DREAMers" and TPS recipients.

And the Democrats have a soft underbelly in this fight.

Although the media trumpeted an Associated Press/NPR poll that showed Trump's approval

ratings had plunged to 34 percent as evidence that Trump had lost all his leverage because

of the shutdown, the poll was wrong.

Multiple other polls – from NBC and Fox News – showed Trump's approval ratings

had remained unchanged from December.

In addition, the NBC news poll found Pelosi's favorability ratings had sunk during the shutdown

and she is now the most unpopular politician in America.

Finally, Democrats won the House because they flipped seats in districts won by President

Trump.

Those vulnerable members felt the heat when the government closed and their constituents

demanded they compromise with the President.

CNN's Dana Bash reported that Trump's message that Democrats did not care about

the border broke through in these districts.

"I'm hearing from senior Democrats that they are hearing more and more from their

rank and file, particularly the new members who tend to come from more moderate districts

saying they're getting pounded because the Trump message, the Republican message that

they don't care about border security has started to seep in as well," Bash reported.

Can Democrats withstand three more weeks of this messaging onslaught?

Americans could not believe what just happened.

Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi just agreed to end a major standoff.

And they did it by coming to an agreement that no one saw coming.

Nancy Pelosi fired a shot across Donald Trump's bow during the government shutdown by canceling

the State of the Union speech scheduled for January 29th.

Pelosi lied and claimed the Secret Service could not secure the event since they weren't

being paid during the shutdown.

The Speaker also falsely claimed that the government needed to reopen before the President

could speak.

That was not true because the government was already shut down when Pelosi extended the

original invitation on January 3rd.

It was a childish and petty political stunt.

And even when Trump did reopen the government, Pelosi still did not immediately re-extend

the invitation to the President.

That led many observers to question Pelosi's ability to negotiate in good faith.

Finally, on Monday, three days after President Trump ended the Democrat shutdown in order

to allow Congress to negotiate a deal on border security, Speaker Pelosi extended an invitation

to Trump to deliver the State of the Union on February 5th.

Pelosi wrote to Trump:

"WHEN I WROTE TO YOU ON JANUARY 23RD, I STATED THAT WE SHOULD WORK TOGETHER TO FIND

A MUTUALLY AGREEABLE DATE WHEN GOVERNMENT HAS REOPENED TO SCHEDULE THIS YEAR'S STATE

OF THE UNION ADDRESS.

IN OUR CONVERSATION TODAY, WE AGREED ON FEBRUARY 5TH.

THEREFORE, I INVITE YOU TO DELIVER YOUR STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS BEFORE A JOINT SESSION

OF CONGRESS ON FEBRUARY 5, 2019 IN THE HOUSE CHAMBER.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER."

Some pundits thought Pelosi might hold out until after the February 15th deadline to

see if Trump would agree to forgo a second shutdown before inviting him to deliver the

State of the Union.

However, that position was not tenable.

And it was a sign of things to come in the upcoming border security negotiations.

The pressure is on Pelosi and the Democrats to now meet the President halfway on funding

for a physical barrier along the Southern border.

Pelosi could not hold to her original opposition in preventing the President from delivering

the State of the Union until a permanent border deal was reached even though Trump met Pelosi's

condition of reopening the government.

In a press conference after Trump agreed to end the Democrats government shutdown, Pelosi

hedged on her opposition to wall funding in the three week negotiations.

Even RINO Republican Lamar Alexander expressed optimism that lawmakers could agree on a deal

that included funding for Trump's border wall.

Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Alexander about the possibility of Congress striking

a deal on funding for the wall.

"Well, we should," Alexander answered.

"And here's something that's overlooked.

The last four presidents, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Bush, working with Congress, built 654

miles of physical barrier — that's wall — along our 2,000-mile southern border.

That's before President Trump," Alexander concluded.

welcome back president Trump doubles down on his demands for a border wall as

he calls on Democrats to restart negotiations on funding the government past February 15th

a new number of House

Democrats appear to be supporting the idea of at least a vote on wall funding one of

them joins me right now Utah Democratic congressman ben mcadams he's a

member of the House Financial Services Committee and the Blue Dog Coalition

congressman it's nice to have you on the program this morning thanks so much for being here

Thank You Maria good to be with you you were among 30 House Democrats

who sent Nancy Pelosi a letter urging her to give Trump a vote on the

wall funding tell me what you think would come out of that vote you know first and foremost

what the the purpose of that letter was to say that the shutdown

is doing no good for anybody we're harming the US economy we're

risking a recession we're harming the federal employees who are just working to put food

on the table and let's open the government there are processes in the

in the Congress in our government laid out by the founders to have debates

like this that's what Congress has intended to do so let's open the government and then

let's have this negotiation the president has a proposal that

should be heard in the Congress we should debate it and we should work to

build common ground and try and move forward a solution on border security on immigration

reform and let's go through the proper channels of the Congress that that

are built and intended to have this exact conversation but let's not do it

in the context of a shutdown that harms the American people that harms our economy and

risks the pocketbooks of every American what I'm trying to better understand

is really the makeup of the new Congress because of course we know

that there's a pocket of Democrats who just want the president out and much of it is politics

and they are resisting anything that he would like we know that

Nancy Pelosi and many of her colleagues voted for a wall and voted for wall fencing years

ago many times we know that there's a wall right now a border

wall in Nancy Pelosi zone state of California separating Tijuana and San Diego but because

President Trump has the idea it's resist resist resist so you

come from a red state you beat out your your opponent on the Republican

side do you think a movement within your new Congress to actually get things done putting

politics aside and not necessarily resisting everything the president says because you

don't like his personality

absolutely you know there are a lot of me and my colleagues who were elected this last

year a lot of us are just pragmatist who just want to get something

done before I was elected to Congress I was a mayor and mayor's just

have this attitude of okay what can we do to move forward to solve the problem as a

Democrat in a very red state I never got anything done unless I could reach

out and build bridges across the aisle so as long as the debate is

focused on you know as long as we're defining a win is meaning somebody else loses we're

never gonna have consensus so we've got to find that win win and I don't

know at this time what the win looks that win win looks like but we

have to find it and I know that a lot of my freshman colleagues are moderates who want

to find that win win that probably we should look at some things to address immigration

reform and dreamers I think is something important permanent

protections for dreamers but also border security as a mayor I saw illegal drugs and and the

impacts of that in my in my city and I want to do more to stop the flow

of illegal drugs into the end of the country so I think there's a lot of

common ground and I think the way to approach this and the way that I would approach it

if I was mayor is to say you know there's a conversation a debate about

wall or no wall let's step back from that conversation where there's

it's divided divisive and let's talk about what we have in common let's find that thread

of commonality amongst Republicans and Democrats I think the threat

of commonality is we all want to protect the border we can find common

ground on that so in some places that's going to mean technology other places in other ways

immigration reform and in some places it may mean a barrier and I think

if we step back and reframe the conversation about protecting the border

and what can we do and what's the most effective way to do that instead of debating a wall

or no wall let's debate border security and I think there's a lot

of common ground yeah I think you make a lot of good points because there

are areas of the country where they're wide open and perhaps maybe you don't need an actual

fence or wall there because you can use technology and drones

they're wide open areas that if illegals come in you can actually

apprehend them easily because it's so wide open but then there are areas like the wall

we've been looking at in Nancy Pelosi state separating Tijuana

from San Diego where you have a very dense population three million

people on one side of the wall through a Tijuana another three million people on the other

side of the wall in San Diego so what is your thoughts in terms of how much

is needed for actual barrier on the southern border and will you vote YES

for wall creation and more wall extension of what we're seeing in this picture so what

I've tried to do is not draw any lines in the sand I want to vote

to say have border protection to have border security to reduce the flow

of drugs and evil even illegal immigration that may include a barrier sure I wouldn't

rule out barriers and places where it's appropriate

I think that's I think that's acceptable but let's have this

conversation in the context of committee hearings at the Congress with a goal of finding common

ground I also think one of the things we can do to protect the border

is to reduce illegal immigration by fixing a broken immigration system if

we can make sure that those good people who are who are just looking for a job our economy

is asking to brainian workers let's find it let's make it easier

for them to immigrate legally so they're not tempted to cross the border

illegally so I think part of it part of the border part of the border protection strategy

has to be fixing a broken immigration system our laws do you feel that

you have a voice I mean I know that you did not support Nancy Pelosi's bid

to become the speaker for a second time do you feel like you're being listened to you

will you have the influence with these practical ideas that you're putting

forth I think so I mean we're just up getting up and going as a

congress right now I've been pleasantly surprised at people both on the Republican side and

even more progressive on the Democratic side who who

I felt that my voice is welcome let's let's hope that as we go into this

negotiation people can allow all voices to be at the table some of the pragmatists can

on both sides of the aisle again can really push for

common ground and trying to find that you know that solution that will

really garner a majority of support in Congress and help us to to reopen the border I'm somebody

who you know we're

gonna have disagreements from time to time but once one disagreements behind us we move

to the next issue we try and find common ground we don't carry baggage

forward for debate to debate and that's how I'd go into

this the same way we've got that behind us let's go further disagreements that are also

radical on the economic side of things you're on the Financial Services Committee

With the Midwest experiencing record-low temperatures, President Donald Trump has taken the opportunity

to mock the idea of global warming.

"What the hell is going on with Global Warming?

Please come back fast, we need you!" the president joked.

Of course, this caused climate change supporters to freak out.

The Midwest is currently bracing for dangerously low temperatures, causing climate change skeptics

to question the idea of global warming.

Heavy snow and powerful wind created blizzard-like conditions Monday across parts of the Midwest,

prompting officials to cancel about 1,000 flights at Chicago's airports and close

hundreds of schools.

But forecasters warned the most dangerous weather is yet to come: frigidly low temperatures

that the region hasn't seen in a quarter century.

Snowplow drivers had trouble keeping up with the snow in Minnesota and Wisconsin, where

some areas got as much as 15 inches.

Chicago-area commuters woke up to heavy snowfall, with more than 5 inches already on the ground.

In Michigan, non-essential government offices were closed, including the Capitol.

But the snow is only "part one, and maybe even the easier part" because temperatures

will plummet over the next three days, according to Brian Hurley, a meteorologist with the

Weather Prediction Center.

"You're talking about frostbite and hypothermia issues very quickly, like in a matter of minutes,

maybe seconds," Hurley said.

Wednesday is expected to be the worst, with wind chills in northern Illinois potentially

falling to negative 55 degrees, which the National Weather Service called "possibly

life threatening."

Meanwhile, temperatures in Minnesota could hit minus 30 degrees with a wind chill of

negative 60.

The potentially record-breaking low-temperature forecast in Milwaukee is negative 28 degrees,

with a windchill as low as negative 50.

The current record of minus 26 degrees was set in 1996.

"That's 40 degrees below normal," said Hurley.

"When you think about it in that sense, that's a big 'whoa.'"

Wednesday is looking like one of the coldest days ever on record in Chicago, with the high

temperature expected to be 12 degrees below zero, which would be colder than some of the

most frigid places on earth.

For example the South Pole is expected to reach a high temperature of 4 below zero on

Wednesday.

Barrow, Alaska, the northernmost point in the United States, located above the Arctic

Circle, will be 7 below zero.

Zackenberg Station, Greenland, which is also north of the Arctic Circle, will be 11 below.

While there is no weather station on the summit of Mount Everest, you would certainly expect

even the base camp would be colder than Chicago, given it's at an elevation of more than

17,000 feet above sea level.

No such luck.

of such frigid temperatures.

"In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest

ever recorded," wrote the president.

"In coming days, expected to get even colder.

People can't last outside even for minutes.

What the hell is going on with Global Waming?

Indeed, it defies logic that the world could somehow be in the midst of a global warming

crisis which so-called experts have blamed for everything from terrorism to the recent

migrant caravan.

Perhaps, this sort of fluctuation in temperature is actually normal.

After all, it has been going on for centuries.

This is just more proof that the climate change narrative was created by politicians as another

way to manipulate the public.

There's maybe some far-right holdouts

that Trump won this game.

But everybody seems to agree that Nancy Pelosi

played this perfectly.

What do you think is the fallout from this for the president?

-Well, the fallout is -- those far-right holdouts

are calling us, you know, from blocked numbers,

saying, "Yeah, he lost."

I mean, the holdout is -- even the wackiest part

of his base thinks he's a giant loser for this whole caper.

[ Cheers and applause ] No, seriously.

And it's not because they disagree about the wall.

They just think that, strategically, he failed.

They think that he was owned

publicly and privately by Nancy Pelosi.

And it's sort of an insider point,

but it was his son-in-law, Jared Kushner,

who ran point on this.

And they think he's not up for the task

of running legislative affairs for The White House.

-She seemed, at every level, to know exactly what to do.

Was the taking away of the State of the Union --

Was taking away something that ceremonial

from the president a stroke of genius from Nancy?

-It's a mistake to project onto him more sophistication

than exists, and for him, taking away air time,

taking away the thing that we all recognize

from the movies and whatnot about being president,

standing there with the people behind you

clapping or booing or whatever they're doing.

That, to him -- Those are some of the most

sort of powerful and precious things to him

about being president.

So to take that away

really did sort of cut all of his leverage.

-And, of course, it's happening on the same day

that he capitulates there, Roger Stone is indicted.

You traveled in Republican circles

when he was in those circles, as well, Roger Stone.

What was your take on Roger Stone?

-I mean, he was at a firm that was so dirty,

you just knew that if no one else would hire a bad dictator,

like, "Oh, well, that firm will do it."

It was Stone, Manafort,

who's awaiting sentencing for his felonies.

And, you know, the idea that we're all supposed to believe --

Chris Christie was on my show today,

and I said, "You know, everyone around the president

has either been convicted or is awaiting trial

for the crime of lying about Russia.

Is that a coincidence?"

"Eh, it might be a coincidence."

I mean, everyone that the president

surrounded himself with is either

a convicted felon or has been charged with a felony.

-You talked to Chris Christie today, and it was a very long --

You talked to him for about 40 minutes,

and it was a fascinating interview.

-I don't think it was that long, was it?

-No, I was -- But, again,

I wanted to hear you interview him.

But, you know, he wrote this book,

and it seems to be a thing that a lot of people

leave the Trump administration, and then they take this

one shot at sort of reframing their experience,

because they are now trying to, you know,

re-enter polite society.

Do you think Chris Christie will be effective with this book,

with his take on what had happened

inside that White House?

-I think Chris Christie is like Donald Trump,

in that people know what they think about him.

And if you're from New Jersey, you know,

he left with some of the lowest approval ratings

in that state's history.

But I think if you're in the Republican Party

and you see a lot of people were into Trump,

Chris Christie has some of that bluntness without, you know,

all of the criminality that seems to follow Donald Trump.

-Well, I do think something that's similar

with the two of them is they --

The people were charmed by their authenticity.

You know, and, again, it was no small thing

that Chris Christie was, you know,

a Republican governor in New Jersey.

-Yeah. And, look, Chris Christie has genuine friendships

on the other side of the aisle.

And I don't want to name any of them.

They may be in witness protection at this point.

But, I mean, he did --

-"I got the kind of friends that don't like the world knowing."

-No, no. But he -- And has obvious political talents.

The challenge I think he'll have with the book is --

he savages Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law.

He spares nothing. And Kushner deserves it.

Savages Bannon. Bannon deserves it.

I said this to him on TV, so don't feel like

I'm talking about him behind his back on TV.

But he doesn't lay a glove, really, on the president.

And the president puts those

incompetent and seemingly corrupt people

in very powerful places.

-Yeah, I guess that's the disconnect is --

how can you say it's not the president's fault?

He's surrounded by, you know, sort of liars and idiots,

because that seems to be, like, a pretty important part

of the job is who you bring into The White House with you.

-The president has surrou-- There weren't any qualifications

to work on the Trump campaign or you didn't really

have to know how to do anything political.

-Yeah.

-But you had to know Russians, like Russians,

and then lie about what you did with them.

-Yeah. That's a weird thing to have.

That's -- You had that in "special skills" on the résumé.

-Maybe it was, like -- Yeah...

She loves him when he's down there talking about we're going to build this wall, we're

that she and countless others in the Republican base had been conned by Donald Trump.

You voted for him, Donald Trump.

And now you're finding.

You're finding out he's a lying.

Okay, this is the thing.

Fine.

But that was actually a selling point with Trump.

I mean, you can make fun of me for also writing "In Trump we trust.

So I know Ann Coulter was not being serious when she says, okay, I'm a stupid girl.

Cause here's the thing.

A coulter is not a stupid person.

She, she honestly is not.

Ann Coulter is very manipulative.

She's very bigoted.

She's a horrible human being.

She is a lot of bad things, but stupid isn't one of them.

You see, Ann Coulter has made her fortune, made a name for herself, tapping into the

anger and rage of the Republican Party and she knows that as long as she continues to

do that, she's gonna make a ton of money and that's what she's done.

She found her niche there.

Whether or not she believes it, I do feel like she believes most of the horrible things

she says, but I also feel like a lot of times she just goes out there to say outrageous

things in order to sell more books because she's smart and she knows how to manipulate

people.

But back to the big point here, she is 100 percent correct.

Also in her assessment that Donald Trump, all these people, and that's something I've

been saying for a long time too, and she actually brought up a lot of the points that I've used

and that is that the wealthy elite people like Donald Trump love cheap immigrant labor.

Donald Trump has never, ever had the actual intention of building this wall.

He knows that's going to hurt his businesses.

He is never going to make it happen.

He is going to consistently failed to get it done and when he does fail, he's just going

to blame the Democrats.

While as soon as the cameras turned off and nobody's looking at him, he's going to breathe

a huge sigh of relief.

We know that at least two of his golf courses up in the northeast have been hiring routinely

illegal undocumented immigrants because they put the emphasis on cheap labor over making

sure somebody is a legal resident of the United States and legally able to work.

We know down in Mar A Lago, they're constantly to get those, uh, h one visas in order to

bring in guest workers for the season.

Donald Trump loves cheap immigrant labor and it is disgusting that these immigrants come

over here and get taken advantage of.

In that way, if they were paid a living wage, if they were treated like human beings, this

wouldn't even be a problem.

I would welcome this because our economy is 100 percent dependent upon immigrants.

We've seen that with his cutting back of the visa program and trying to crack down on immigrants

coming into the United States.

In general, it is crippling small businesses throughout this country.

We need them, but we also have to treat them like human beings and that's the part, you

know, business owners, people like Trump and the wealthy elite, they don't want to do that

part.

They didn't want the cheap labor, but nonetheless, Ann Coulter nailed it there.

Trump is not ever going to build this wall.

She knows it and as long as she keeps saying it, then the base that helped propel Trump

into office is going to know

it

as well.
