Trump news on Youtube Jan 19 2019

There's been another wave of violence against gay men in Chechnya, with dozens kidnapped,

at least two deaths, and continued American inaction.

Anti-gay activists in the Netherlands imported a homophobic statement from the US, but the

reaction hasn't exactly been warm.

Trump's nominee to run the justice department once ran a concentration camp for people with

HIV.

And Missouri Republicans are fighting to make it as easy as possible to fire queer workers.

We'll have the week's top LGBTQ news and actions you can take on Weekly Debrief.

Alarming news from Chechnya this week -- in the last month government forces have kidnapped

at least forty gay men and killed two.

It's a brand new wave of violence against queer people, two years after reports of concentration

camps first emerged.

Nonprofits are working to get people out of the country, but diplomatic response from

other countries has been mild or nonexistent.

In the Netherlands, a small group of conservative politicians has signed a statement condemning

queer people.

It's a word-for-word copy of the Nashville Statement in the US.

But unlike in the United States, there's been a strong backlash against the move, with

various towns and leaders expressing support for queer citizens.

Thanks to viewer Vera de Kok for bringing this one to my attention.

Here in the US, William Barr, Trump's nominee to run the Justice Department testified before

the Senate Judiciary Committee.

You will be shocked to hear that Barr is awful.

Back in the early 90s, he oversaw a concentration camp for HIV positive refugees that was found

to be so abusive it was unconstitutional.

He praised Jeff Sessions for undermining protections for LGBTQ people.

He called homosexuality immoral.

He's pretty much as bad as you expect.

In Ohio, the governor has signed an order providing limited job protections for state

workers, which is at least a start.

But in Missouri, House Republicans blocked attempts at protecting staffers for being

fired over their sexual orientation.

This week's action item: It's clear that a stronger international response is needed

to stop the anti-gay purge in Chechnya.

Kim and Trump to meet for a second summit near end of Feb. - Duration: 4:25.

We start today with the latest developments on the talks between North Korea and the United

States.

After months of silence,... the two sides finally held high-level talks on Friday in

Washington.

We also heard that the North Korean envoy was able to meet with President Donald Trump,...

and they seem to have made some progress concerning the upcoming North Korea-U.S. summit.

For more, let's go straight to our Park Hee-jun who is on the line for us from Seoul's foreign

ministry.

Hee-jun, tell us more.

Ji-won.

We are seeing some progress with the Kim-Trump summit.

The White House has announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald

Trump,... will meet QUOTE-"near the end of February."

The exact location is to be announced on a later date.

The announcement came after a 90-minute meeting between the North's top envoy Kim Yong-chol

and President Trump at the White House.

Kim is said to have delivered to Trump,... a letter from Kim Jong-un.

And before that,... Kim Yong-chol met Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the U.S. State Department's

special representative for North Korea affairs, Stephen Biegun.

They discussed efforts to make progress on the promises made during the Kim-Trump summit

in Singapore,... and according to the State Department,... the talks were QUOTE- "productive."

These were the first set of discussions held by the two sides,... since the postponement

of high-level talks originally scheduled for November.

And it breaks the months-long stalemate in the nuclear negotiations.

So we have the estimated date for the summit,... but Hee-jun when will the two tune-out the

remaining details?

So the high-level talks were held in Washington.

And next is the working-level talks.

The meeting between North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui and Stephen Biegun is

expected to be held as early as today in Stockholm.

With Pyeongyang and Washington having made the summit official and agreeing on a rough

date,... the logistics for the meeting is likely to be sorted out by Choe and Biegun,...

which would be the first meeting between the pair,... since Biegun took his position last

August.

And according to Seoul's foreign ministry,...

South Korea's nuclear envoy Lee Do-hoon has left for Sweden.

He will attend an international conference where Choe and Biegun are also said to attend.

So there are high speculations... that two-way or three-way discussions could get underway

in Stockholm.

And if all goes well,... more announcements may be on the way.

It really looks like the second North Korea-U.S. summit is taking shape.

And Hee-jun, this comes after months of seemingly stalled denuclearization negotiations between

the two.

So could you give us a recap of what the disagreement was on and what could come out of the talks

ahead?

You're right.

Little progress has been made since their first face-to-face in June.

So more weight is being put on this next summit.

The U.S. has been demanding an account of North Korea's nuclear and missile programs,

while North Korea has been calling for the lifting of economic sanctions and the provision

of security guarantees.

What's notable is that, after Kim Yong-chol's visit to the White House,... press secretary

Sarah Sanders said (quote) "The United States is going to continue to keep pressure and

sanctions on North Korea."

So it's possible that the two sides were unable to find a common ground on that issue.

Then again, Washington appears to have taken a step back from its original stance,... for

a step-by-step approach to denuclearization.

What experts see as a possible scenario,... is North Korea offering to destroy its Yeongbyeon

Nuclear Complex as Kim said in the Pyeongyang Declaration,... for which the U.S. will waive

sanctions for the resumption of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex and Mount Geumgangsan tours.

These two inter-Korean projects are of great interest to the North.

The main agenda could also involve North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Pompeo recently said the focus is on the security of American citizens,... which raised questions

over whether the U.S. wants the removal of the ballistic missiles to come first.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in also mentioned the importance of dismantling North Korea's

ICBM arsenal in his New Year's press conference.

But that remains to be the core question.

Both sides want the summit to happen.

Considering that the previous Singapore summit was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride,...

we can't say for sure what will happen.

But the two leaders have exchanged multiple letters already this year,... and layers of

negotations are swiftly taking place.

So things aren't looking too bad as of yet.

Back to you, Ji-won.

Pentagon Officials Freaked Out That Trump Admin Wants To Attack Iran - Duration: 3:33.

Earlier this week, it was reported that John Bolton, Donald Trump's national security advisor,

had repeatedly been pressing the Pentagon to come up with plans that he could present

to the president, uh, so they could figure out how best to go and attack Iran.

Well, yesterday, CNN reported after talking to sources inside the Department of Defense

that the Pentagon, dod officials are actually starting to get unnerved about the fact that

John Bolton and the National Security Council and the Trump admin itself, uh, that they

seem hellbent on wanting to attack Iran.

The Pentagon officials, you know, these guys, they love a good war, but even they are willing

to say we don't really have a reason to go over and attack Iran.

There's really not anything there that would warrant us putting boots on the ground or

planes in the air or dropping bombs on them.

So we're not exactly sure why they want this so badly.

Nonetheless, the Pentagon has put forward plans, uh, on various different ways to attack

the country if the administration feels the need to do that.

However, it is not clear at this point whether or not they have actually turned those over

to John Bolton.

I do not believe based on the evidence we've seen that they have turned those over to Bolton

because if they had, we would currently be bombing the hell out of the country because

that's what John Bolton is.

That's what all of us thought would happen.

As soon as John Bolton became the national security advisor and we found out this week

that yes, that is exactly what he is attempting to do, but here's another possible scenario

here at CNN.

Didn't mention this.

We could be looking at a potential wag the dog situation where Donald Trump sees the

walls closing in around him.

He sees the public turning on him.

His poll numbers are getting worse and worse by the week, but what better way to bolster

support for a sitting president then to launch a war?

It's what happens.

Unfortunately, whenever a war breaks out, whenever we have to go over and bomb another

country, it creates unease with the American public and they're looking for somebody to

comfort them and tell them that everything is going to be okay and that is typically

what a president does.

It's what George W dot Bush does.

George W. Bush would not have won reelection had he not started wars in the Middle East.

I mean even before the nine slash 11 attacks, his approval rating was in the toilet and

then shot way up after that happened because he emerged as the guy that's going to heal

the country, you know, come put your head on my shoulder where everything's going to

be fine.

I'm going to take care of you.

Trust me.

And people did unfortunately.

And then he went ahead and lied about the intelligence and attacked Iraq.

And because of that, people got scared.

They thought that Saddam Hussein was somehow the big bad guy that we needed to take out

and they voted for him again in 2004.

Trump's hoping the same situation can save him here except the differences.

At least George W. Bush had the Pentagon and other intelligence agencies willing to phony

up data to paint Saddam Hussein as some kind of global threat.

And now the Pentagon, at least at the moment on this one particular issue, has enough good

sense to say we don't have any reason whatsoever to go over there and attack Iran.

Trump Told Michael Cohen To LIE During Congressional Testimony - Duration: 5:02.

So obviously the biggest news in the country right now, the story that everybody is talking

about is the Buzzfeed story, saying that Michael Cohen was instructed to lie to Congress about

the Trump tower Moscow project at the request of Donald Trump himself.

Now obviously if this story is accurate, this is a huge deal and not necessarily just because,

oh, it's Trump tower Moscow, right?

The real issue here is that if Donald Trump did order Michael Cohen to lie to Congress,

then that's actually three separate felonies all rolled into one.

So that in itself is a big deal.

But here's the thing, let's go into some of the specifics here.

According to text messages, company emails and other various documents that have been

obtained by the Special Prosecutor, Robert Mueller's office, they have enough evidence.

Oh, including multiple witnesses from the Trump organization who have all corroborated

the story separately.

Uh, Michael Cohen was told by Donald Trump to go to congress shortly after the election

and lie to them about when the talks for the Trump tower, Moscow project actually ended.

As we know now, the talks for Trump tower Moscow actually continued well beyond the

presidential campaign, but Trump told Cohen to tell them that it ended long before the

campaign, and if you recall a few months ago, uh, when Robert Mueller said, hey, Michael

Cohen lied to Congress, this is what that lie was.

That's what he knows.

Now, Michael Cohen is also coming forward.

He's going to be testifying in front of Congress, uh, the house on February seventh.

So in just a few weeks we're going to hear from him himself whether or not this story

is accurate.

And of course that also depends on whether or not we can believe Michael Cohen.

After all, he did lie to Congress.

Once that Donald Trump's request, he may be willing to lie to Congress again to save his

own butt.

But at this point, Michael Cohen's got nothing to fear.

I mean, he knows he's got his prison sentence.

He knows he's going away and there's nothing he can do to fix that is also nothing else

that he can do at the moment that would increase his prison sentence.

His fate is sealed.

All he has left to do is to flip on the president and roll over and give them every piece of

information that they need to impeach him, which honestly at this point I believe is

exactly what's going to happen.

In fact, we might see the wheels of impeachment begin moving shortly after Michael Cohen's

February seventh testimony if he corroborates this particular buzzfeed story, but here's

the thing, impeachment does not mean removal from office.

The Senate does not even come close to having enough people willing to remove the president

from office in order for that to happen, but the house could impeach him.

The house could vote on articles of impeachment past them, and therefore the president at

that point, much like Bill Clinton was in the nineties, is impeached, just not removed

from office.

What would happen in that particular situation then?

If the Senate doesn't vote to remove or convict, Trump just stays in office as an impeached

president.

How's that gonna play out in 2020?

You know, how are Republicans going to feel about having a nominee who was impeached for

obstruction of justice, perjury, witness tampering, a bedding perjury?

All kinds of things that just emerged from this one particular story that would be a

scandal plagued nominee who would be ripe for a primary challenger to come in and get

him off the ticket or Republicans in the Senate could, and this is the longest shot that I

don't think has a chance of happening, could determine that Trump is far too toxic to have

at the top of a 2020 tickets and so maybe you wouldn't get enough, you know, 15 I think

maybe to flip a and vote to convict and removed from office, and then you end up with president

pence who may not have the same baggage as Trump will wait until the final molar report

comes out.

To be able to make that determination.

Pence is also not a fighter like Trump, which attracted a lot of the fragile, a masculine

people in this country and so he doesn't stand a very good chance of even being able to win

an election on his own.

Bottom line is this.

This is bad for Trump, but it doesn't mean that one that collusion did happen, or two,

that he's going to be removed from office, but what it means is that his fight to stay

in office in 2020 just became nearly impossible.

Great Britain.

Not so great anymore.

just wait till you see it on the news.

Breaking news on Brexit.

British Prime Minister Theresa May losing a historic vote

on her plan to leave the European Union,

the Parliament overwhelmingly rejecting the deal

in a vote late tonight in London.

Today's defeat was a landslide.

Theresa May got a shellacking.

The right voted no.

The left voted no.

It was the worst failure of government in Britain

by the numbers in the history of Great Britain.

Good Lord. What a mess.

I bet Mary Poppins floated down, looked around,

and just turned around, like,

"Well, you've really shit the bed now.

I'm out, bitches!"

So, with this vote,

Theresa May has become one of the UK's least popular people,

which is impressive in a country that also has Piers Morgan.

Right? She wanted Brexit.

No one's voted with her.

And now that her Brexit plan has been voted down,

the country is faced with either calling the whole thing off

or going through with Brexit with no exit plan at all.

Yeah. It's basically like the whole UK suddenly realized

they don't have a condom, and they're like,

"Well, we know what the smart thing is to do,

but we also really wanted to get screwed, so..."

Moving on, Netflix--

they're the streaming service that turned

every Blockbuster Video into a seasonal Halloween store,

and, uh, they just made a big announcement.

Big news today out of Netflix,

raising prices for U.S. subs as much as 18%,

effective immediately for new users.

It's the company's biggest increase

since it launched its streaming service 12 years ago.

The price for Netflix's most popular plan will jump the most,

to $13 per month from $11.

That's right, Netflix is increasing its prices,

which, I'm sorry, is so unfair.

Do they even care about how this is gonna affect me

and my mom and Kibuuka and Xolisa

and all the other people using my account?

No, they don't care. They don't care.

I mean, before, I could divide $11

by the 11 people who have my password.

But $13? That shit makes no sense!

Now I'm gonna have to give two more people my log-in details.

So if anyone wants to join my account,

it's tnoah, and then the password is...

(speaks foreign language) Okay? Yeah.

Obviously, all caps.

-Go crazy. -(applause)

But, look, I-I will admit, I do get why Netflix is doing this.

Right? Netflix just spent $100 million to buy Friends.

Yeah. That's a lot of money.

That's almost as much as Don Jr. spent to buy his friends.

Oh, and, speaking of the Trumps,

it is now day 25 of the government shutdown,

the longest in American history.

And it looks like now even President Trump

is starting to feel the effects.

REPORTER: An odd feast for champions.

The Clemson Tigers football team

was treated to a vast spread of...

fast food during their visit to the White House.

Much of the White House resident staff is not working

because of the shutdown.

So, President Trump, he footed the bill

and treated the NCAA champs

to burgers, fries, and pizza.

Burger King, Wendy's, and McDonald's.

We have Big Macs. We have Quarter Pounders with Cheese.

We have everything that I like, that you like.

MAN: What's your favorite thing here, Mr. President?

Do you pref...

I like how-- I like how he busted himself.

'Cause, like, "We got all the things that I like--

that you like, that you like, that you like."

And, honestly, is there anything more Trump

than eating McDonald's by candlelight?

Like, I feel like that's him.

If you combine any fancy thing with any garbage-y thing,

that's Trump's style, right?

McDonald's by candlelight.

Caviar in a Porta-Potty.

Him in the White House.

-You know? -(cheering and applause)

It's just a mix.

But I will say this:

if the government shutdown means

that Trump gets to eat cheeseburgers every night,

then this thing is gonna last forever.

Buckle up, folks.

Trump Illegally Tried To Withhold Disaster Funds From Puerto Rico - Duration: 3:25.

Recently, Pam Potter, not the Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under Ben

Carson issued her resignation letter.

Just another person leaving the Trump administration, right?

Well, not exactly because as part of the story about Ms Dot pot not resigning, it was also

revealed that Donald Trump attempted to illegally block hurricane disaster relief funds from

making it to the island of Puerto Rico.

Here's what happened in October, Donald Trump tweeted out that Puerto Ricans, the Puerto

Rican government was trying to use these hurricane relief funds to pay off old debts.

I mean, right?

Puerto Rico's a financial disaster, and they wanted to use these hurricane funds instead

of helping the people who still don't have homes, they were going to use it to pay off

their debts and maybe try to get right financially.

So Trump ordered John Kelly and mick Mulvaney to not send a another dollar to Puerto Rico.

Here's the issue.

First and foremost, the reason Puerto Rico is in such a financial disaster is because

the big banks came in, their scam, the hell out of them took all their money, took their

pensions, took their savings.

That is the result of Wall Street greed, not mismanagement by Puerto Rico.

Let's get that straight.

First and foremost.

Second of all, the president saying, do not send another dollar to these people is 100

percent illegal because those funds were authorized by Congress.

The president has a lot of power and a lot of authority, but he does not have the authority

to override congress on that particular matter on budget issues.

He can't do that.

So by saying, do not send another dollar, Donald Trump was saying, do not follow the

rule of law.

Do as I say, because I have a grudge against this island.

Do as I say, because I saw on Fox News that Puerto Rico wanted to use the money to pay

off their debts instead of helping people.

And I'm just so against that.

No, what really happened, I'm assuming the Fox thing did actually happened, is that Donald

Trump was still pissed off at the, uh, I believe it was the mayor of San Juan who called him

out for his horrible hurricane response after Hurricane Maria hit the island.

And he still mad about that.

He still mad about that island, which is a US territory.

They're under our protection even though we don't give them any rights.

He's still mad that they weren't nice to him after they had just lost everything.

They didn't roll out the red carpets.

Maybe they didn't catch the paper towels.

He was throwing just right.

Who knows, but this is a petty man who has no problem with breaking the law.

Anytime it fits his agenda and that is exactly what happened here.

And as this story continues to develop, we're going to learn a little bit more.

We're going to learn more about the illegal things that Trump has tried to do to the island

of Puerto Rico because I promise you this story is not going away.

It may not be one that the corporate media wants to talk about all the time, but we're

going to continue to talk about it because this is important that island is still suffering

today and as long as Donald Trump stays in office, they are going to continue to suffer

much like the rest of us at this point.

After CANCELLING Her Flight Trump Delivers ONE LAST Surprise To Pelosi's Office(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 11:52.

After CANCELLING Her Flight Trump Delivers ONE LAST Surprise To Pelosi's Office

it's very irresponsible on the part of the present we'll go again we'll go

another time this would have been my ninth retaliation I don't think the

president would be that petty to you when Speaker Nancy Pelosi canceled

President Donald Trump State of the Union address he responded by grounding

her taxpayer-funded luxury flight overseas however Pelosi soon discovered

that if she hits Trump will hit back even harder once he had a special gift

delivered to her office just hours after ordering her overseas excursion canceled

President Trump added insult to injury by having Pelosi luggage loaded onto a

military liaison cart and had it wheeled down the halls of Congress and

humiliatingly parked outside of her office for her to collect a photo of the

carelessly piled luggage with a sign marked Codel Pelosi was snapped by a

tipster for the Washington free beacon similar to Trump's strategic grounding

of Pelosi's flight just one hour before takeoff leaving the confused Congress

will installed honor the United States Air Force bus the president had her

baggage redirected to her office in case she wished to check it in with a

commercial airline it's unclear if all of the bags were Pelosi or if the card

also included luggage belonging to her staffers however the message was

unmistakable leaving the speaker in an embarrassing position Pelosi is probably

waking up to the fact that if you hit Trump you'd better knock him out because

he'll come back swinging twice as hard it's possible she realized that she made

a mistake by pushing to cancel the SOT you addressed one Trump responded by

postponing her flight for the same reason she gave Pelosi and her

Democratic cohorts are starting to realize that Trump not only means

business but that he isn't intimidated by their underhanded and puerile tactics

in fact one of the reasons he was elected president is because he has no

problem getting down in the mud and fighting just as dirty as the leftist

opposition if Pelosi wants to use the government shutdown for her own

political gain she'll soon realized that this

Trump's game and he has the advantage when it comes to playing hardball

president Trump continuing to counterpunch Nancy Pelosi with a new

Twitter taunt as the shut down fight gets personal after grounding her

military aircraft yesterday the president slamming the House Speaker for

planning to go on an overseas trip during the government shutdown and

Pelosi's office is responding by accusing the White House of leaking

information about plans to fly commercial claiming it created a

security risk that caused the trip to be stopped the White House is pushing back

though calling the charge quote asinine and a flat-out lie

here's Pelosi earlier it's very irresponsible on the part of the

president we'll go again we'll go another time this would have been my

ninth trip I don't think the president would be that petty to you Sarah Sanders

firing back at Pelosi over the allegations saying it's outrageous to

claim the president would put lives in jeopardy meanwhile it's a tale of two

shutdown stunts for the media watches Pelosi gets praised for trying to delay

the State of the Union while Trump gets trashed for accessing her foreign trip

this is a case study and media bias data example it is a pretty good example and

when he was quiet for the day remember and she got all that press for a whole

day and the timing of the letter that your trip has canceled coming in a half

an hour before their to leave while they're on the bus that was gold

perfectly gold and so in I mean if you remember I did my sister test right and

she was like oh both of them Trump Pelosi tired of it that might be

how a lot of people feel but the media can't can't do that I mean come on and

then also when Pelosi says I don't think he would be that petty it's like the

South when you say bless their heart like that bless your heart Greg yeah I

think it could have been truck it could have been worse I mean Trump canceling

the trip is nice imagine if he allowed them to get on the

plane and then he waited until they were in the air and then rerouted it so it

flew in circles around the US for like 11 hours I don't know how long rubber

but imagine if he let him fly the air for 11 hours right and then he

goes okay let him land in DC and then they come back they land in DC they're

all tired the ambiens wearing off they're getting that a few drinks they

get out and like the dance is like wow I didn't know Brussels had a white house

this is amazing so I think that he actually did them a favor Jim Acosta

calling any one child like he's these you know he's basically the spokesperson

for Gerber baby food I think the whole idea of calling each other childish

doesn't work anymore it doesn't work anyway because everybody everybody is a

child now we're a lab we live in it we live in a time where it's tit-for-tat so

that's okay there's a really positive thing that's gonna happen I've said it

yesterday Nancy handed him the golden key get out

of the State of the Union it's boring think of it as State of the Union

unplugged go back to its roots acoustic acoustic an acoustic state of the union

the people save of the years send a letter then you have a rally everybody

wins and we stay here in New York we don't have to take the train and sit on

the Acela and listen to that bubble of booze wah I don't even know what I said

it's all about travel anxiety I don't want to go anywhere this is Newt

Gingrich talking about picking a fight with the president and then you can

react I don't know anybody who is more predictable at counterpunching you hit

Donald Trump he picks up a large log slams you across the head and says see

you made me irritated I mean she handed him a huge softball and said please

knock it out of the park I guarantee you he's gonna spend part of every day from

here on out finding a way to cause her pain so the president's plotting in the

Oval Office how else can I cause Pelosi pain I think this delights you by the

look on your face but I think he's causing himself a great deal of pain I

mean I was just looking at the polls today and it's it's pretty clear all the

polls indicate that majorities blame the president for what's going on and people

don't like the idea of shut down don't think it's a good idea to shut down the

government as a leverage point over building the wall that we know Mexico

was going to pay for and you know to me they think you know we should get a deal

we should be able to reach a deal so you know to Dana's sister's point it'd be

nice that people sat down and really thought about this

and really were able to negotiate do you think let me know but for here you have

a situation where you had Republicans and Democrats make a deal McConnell said

here's a deal it was the president who shut down the government so now you had

vice president Pence Jared Kushner meeting with Mitch McConnell they're

trying to figure out some way to help the president save face because that's

all this is about and when he does something and and and I think that

Pelosi was very clear and I think the State Department

you know when they had to say you know you can't go it's very clear he did talk

about the commercial itinerary in a way that would have endangered her life in

the life of everyone on there but guess what in the conservative media bubble

you get the kind of playground tit-for-tat oh it Adam Schiff was on

remember Adam Schiff the one that the president misspells his name with the

t's it's unbelievable that we are at this juvenile level but I think the

American people from the polls say enough of this playground behavior it's

not good it's not good governance and it's not who we are

well to that one gets a fancy started it how's that dr. Nicole safar wanna says

right now the polls indicate that everybody blames the president for the

shutdown if the president were to cut a deal get the wall and reopen the

government would the American people give him credit for ending the shutdown

and his base would be very ecstatic about the wall Fonda yes well of course

his base would be very happy but I'm sure that the other side who never

supports him would come up with something else and he would not get

credit there's an upside for the president here right I do agree I think

that they really need to hone in you know he is he has compromised he's

compromised on the cost of the border wall he's gone from 21 billion down to

5.7 he's compromised on daca I mean these are things that happen with this

campaign you know he's doing what he said in this campaign he lowered

corporate tax he bombed Isis he's bringing the troops home this he has to

do the wall he has to do something here if he forgoes the wall he's gonna lose

his base and the Republicans are really gonna suffer from this now this tit for

tat and it really is nanny nanny booboo but it's on both sides and it just is I

mean Pelosi is in Hawaii she comes back and she says she's gonna pull the reins

on the so to which okay and then he cancels her trip I mean it

is a back and forth I want to see them back in the white house get some of

their cronies getting the Oval Office lock themselves in and hash out a deal

like there's no ok let's just shake hands and let's move on with the day no

you stay in that office until you figured it out because you have 800,000

people not getting paid and when you're praising the unemployment rate how it

keeps going down but now all of a sudden we have employed individuals not getting

paid they're needing go fund me accounts they're having to file for unemployment

this isn't right I just want to point out that you just said this is all about

the president's wanting to make a political point it's not about elected

saying he was doing oh you're wrong he got elected saying Mexico would pay for

this walk no we're not near that and so you have him this is important you have

now Gary Khan the president's economic advisors frictional reserve bank chair

here in New York saying what's going on right now is slowing us economic growth

the president let's mrs. Trump fly last night you won't let Pelosi fly it would

be interesting to see an actual specific plan by the Democrats that because now

we have them on record saying that they're for enhanced border security

they actually say it now even though their leaders said it was immoral

remember it walls were immoral and now you have them backtrack you can say but

wait a minutes more so what I would like to I would be really neat to see a plan

a plan that actually shows a border without a wall I would like to see that

because the thing is if you want to deal you're gonna have to create money for

enhanced border right that's what be so the Democrats have to come up with a

specific deal right with this money that doesn't have any wall I would like to

see that well you think that's possible I would like to know want you believe

that you can do it without a wall then you should you should write it down

right now I want to you try it out I want to see this no

hard was making possible for going through than steps you know the added

funding in terms of security personnel the drone like no walls or favorite

radio hosts Howard Stern said doesn't work would you hear that from you only

when he wants to hear what he wants thank you god bless you and God bless

america

Trump's "Countrty" Tweet, Michelle Obama's Birthday - Monologue - Duration: 3:28.

-Let's get to the news.

During an interview with CNN yesterday,

Rudy Giuliani said that he never denied

that President Trump's campaign

colluded with the Russian government

in the lead-up to the 2016 election.

And then today, he said he never did an interview on CNN.

[ Laughter ]

President Trump misspelled the word "country"

in a tweet this morning. [ Laughter ]

So if you're keeping track,

he's now lost moderates, whites without college degrees,

women voters, and autocorrect.

[ Laughter ]

That's right. President Trump misspelled the word "country"

in a tweet this morning, which wouldn't be the first time

that President Trump messed up a country.

[ Laughter and applause ]

The owner -- [ Cheers and applause ]

"Coun-try. [ Laughter ]

I'm -- I'm coun-trying."

[ Laughter ]

The owner of an I.T. firm is claiming

President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen

failed to give him the $50,000 he was promised

for influencing polls in Trump's favor

and creating a fake Twitter account

called "Women for Cohen,"

and instead gave him a bag with $12,000 in cash

and a boxing glove that Cohen said had been worn

by a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter.

[ Laughter ]

Raising the question -- sorry, raising 1,000 questions!

[ Laughter ]

Who's the martial arts fighter? Why do you have his glove?

Why do you only have one? Why was it in a bag?

Are you broke? Are you broken?

What is Women for Cohen? Were you cheating on your wife?

Do you even have a wife?

Are you really a lawyer? How did you pass the bar?

Is everything okay?

[ Laughter and applause ]

"Here's -- Here's 12 grand and one glove.

That should cover it." [ Laughter ]

Today was former First Lady Michelle Obama's 55th birthday.

Unfortunately --

[ Cheers and applause ]

Unfortunately, when she blew out the candles on her cake,

none of us got our wish.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

According -- According to a new report,

nutrition agriculture and environmental experts suggest

that people should eat no more than one hamburger a week.

Said Trump, "In that case,

can I have three cheeseburgers, please?"

[ Laughter ]

"It's a technicality. See what I did?"

[ Laughter ]

"I got through on a technicality."

[ Laughter ]

According to CNN, freshman Representative

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be teaching fellow Democrats

how to use Twitter more effectively,

and it looks like they could use the help.

[ Laughter and applause ]

And finally, according to a new survey,

stay-at-home moms would make an estimated salary

of over $160,000 for their work,

based on the salaries of other professional jobs.

And stay-at-home dads would immediately be fired.

Trump Just Cancelled A Second International Trip And Democrats Are Up In Arms Over It(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 10:04.

Trump Just Cancelled A Second International Trip And Democrats Are Up In Arms Over It

just moments ago the White House announcing that its delegation that was

set to be led by Treasury secretary Stephen minuchin will no longer attend

the world economic summit in Davos Switzerland staying out of a

consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay and

to ensure his team can assist as needed President Trump has cancelled his

delegations trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland that from

Sara Sanders just a few moments ago this of course after the president canceled

the military aircraft for the Speaker of the House and Democratic Congress and

lawmakers to head overseas to a number of different stops citing security

concerns during the shutdown Nancy Pelosi has asked Donald Trump to give

his State of the Union in writing Trump's response canceling her trip to

Brussels right before takeoff hilarious in the letter he said he was sorry to

inform her that he's canceling the trip no no he wasn't sorry not at all he

basically stole her lunch money and then he ate her lunch still Trump should

accept her offer and send the address in writing a sheet with just two words

bye-bye then hold a giant event in the middle of America after all the people

elected Trump not Washington DC Nancy and the Dems can take shelter under

their desks and watch it all in iPads and Trumpkin site his achievements tell

some jokes just so the press has a reason to burn their hair broadcasted on

YouTube the media will cover it in highly flammable fact checks it'll be

the first peoples State of the Union if the media doesn't show it then we know

it's personal and political for this is historical and hysterical because one of

the Dems do then do they not respond when he does it anyway at a better place

with better-looking people with music prizes farm animals and face painting

and almost no carbon footprint think about that do they hold a response with

the same cardboard cutouts from before man Nancy just offered Trump an amazing

opportunity it gets him out of a really dull speech and it gets the five out of

going to DC a place with overpriced incompetent politicians and substandard

food which really is the whole point of this model all right originally we're

gonna talk about that the state of the union but we've got to talk about this

letter which is fantastic dear madam Speaker due to the shutdown I'm sorry to

inform you I'm sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels Egypt and

Afghanistan has been postponed we will reschedule this seven-day excursion when

the shutdown is over geez this obviously if you would like to make your journey

by flying commercial that would certainly be your prerogative Dana okay

some might say this is childish or I think one thinks this is childish

I think it's childishly awesome so this story broke during the 2 o'clock hour

and I had John Roberts on Peter Doocy and we find out that not only is he

canceling the trip yeah but the trip is supposed to leave in 30 minutes yes so

they're on the bus on the Air Force bus the Capitol plays ready to go she

already took her ambien till you're on the runway about to tape all sleeping

gets to leave trouble and all the things so I knew something was gonna happen to

do it because it was like just the timing I also feel like because the

president was silent yesterday in response to her suggestion that he

scheduled the State of the Union because of security but now it's actually just

because of the shutdown and her leverage that they waited until that 30 minutes

before that bus was supposed to leave in order to do it and it is kind of like a

reality TV show yeah so I think I will tit-for-tat there I understand the thing

about their security concerns she was going Afghanistan but here's the thing

what congressional delegation thinks it's a good idea to leave town when the

shutdown is entering its fifth week yeah okay actually just save them some major

and I think they're both doing each other a favor but one I want to get to

you because I know that you thought it was idiotic or childish but it's see

what makes us laugh should also bring you pleasure not funny happy that I'm

happy look I'm entertained I love this show I think it's great you know let's

make fun everybody but at some point you got to say you know

was a Gary Cohn economic adviser to Trump said today he doesn't understand

where this is going it's bad for the economy we see the economy being damaged

there's real consequence so yeah I love a laugh - I got no problems but I will

say this to Dana's point I think it was President

Trump who actually went overseas to a war zone during the shutdown in other

words Trump is being totally hypocritical while lighting in it by

saying oh I'd like you to be here so you can negotiate well wait a second didn't

he leave town he was gone Jessie but it was gone so I mean to me you what you

see today is no Trump's now saying let's bring back some diplomats oh okay

yesterday was let's bring back some IRS agents he is so on the defensive so

losing this fight right now that he is trying to lessen the impact of the

shutdown on the American people but he delights in boorish behavior skewering

Nancy Pelosi and making himself look unique Gregg's word child Jessie I got a

I want to just shift a little bit turn the offer that Pelosi is giving because

I believe he should accept the offer do it in writing and hold this rally but

you disagree with me yeah I'm Pro State of the Union I want to see the president

blast the Democrats and have Nancy sit next to Pence and squirm without being

able to respond and then maybe if she wants to she can respond with crying

Chuck at one podium afterwards and get hammered because I like the pageantry of

it and usually the presidents get a little bit of it you want to go to DC

just a minute Fuli what let's just in DC you want to see it trumpet the trumpet

Eric's yeah it would never stay there right

company's paying for it it would interest and you know I'm always on the

up and up at these things also remember the last time the

Democrats just sat on their hands yeah and they said the african-american

Hispanic American unemployment was at record unemployment at record lows so

there's there's political winds to be had for the president at the State of

the Union and she doesn't want the president to have the opportunity to go

make the case for the American people but what he did today was pure savage

Nancy Pelosi is petty but

she went low lower yes you can fly commercial like JetBlue flies I mean

she's been in Hawaii one her crew is in Puerto Rico she hasn't been at the White

House for a week and then she's going to Brussels in Afghanistan for another week

she doesn't want to end the shutdown she likes it she thinks she's scoring points

let me ask you something I know you're like Trump but was that an endorsement

of Trump to say he's going lower than then pull lower than low I guess

gamesmanship and one you can't say that what Pelosi did the other day with the C

of the Union was a great power play and this is child you know what the

government's broken the government's not functioning and to stand up there

pretend like everything is normal

exactly what jesse is saying Trump and Pelosi are made for each other

right so one goes one way one goes the other way whatever the bottom line is as

a parent it reminds me of a lot of the South crap Safire household or just a

bad telenovela the way that this is playing out and unfortunately we can

laugh at it it's funny but it's not funny because these are actually

supposed to be the adults of our country and so whether we he goes all it's for

the State of the Union it's gonna be the same thing it's a political episode

we're gonna see the Democrats maybe squirm a little bit it's gonna be a

Democrat bashing session nothing's actually gonna come out of it and you

know Nancy Pelosi spokesperson hurt she they came out and said that the purpose

of her trip was to express appreciation thanks to our men and women of service

you know how she can do that by staying here and getting the government back and

start boiling the Coast Guard because they're not getting paid and they're

also men and women in uniform I just wonder a little bit about this because

you know I used when I was at the White House I would do this thing called a

sister test mmm so I called my sister and say like what do you think about

this and if she said never heard of it I'm like oh thank god we're all right

but today she said something to me she sent me a text and she was like both of

them could they just get it together something like that and I wonder if

that's more of the of course we can laugh for a moment it is like really

funny but there are consequences for people that are Rand Paul made a

suggestion do we want to play that tape but do we have time or should I just

summarize it nobody's talking to me

prevention act' yeah I think that's a real affront to the American people and

what I would suggest is that Senator McConnell's in charge of the Senate

let's host it in the Senate if she this would be the first time in history that

the house would deny a president the forum of speaking if she's going to do

that let's hold it in the suit I do not like this idea I did this is boring

think it's even more boring it's even more boring don't host it you want to

see a rally and like Billings Montana no very green I want to get a few days in

the Sun you know we had a speech already in the Oval Office did it move anything

address it is a unifying thing for the country very few traditions you like

it'll be unified I think he'll just tell more distortions and lies and

misrepresent I'm also okay with it going back to a written thing that was the

original intent by the way you say succeed they're having a Super Bowl you

need a lot of security for that for - okay thank you

god bless you and God bless america
