Our President Trump Just Blew The Lid Off The Biggest Scandal In American History

President Donald Trump makes yet another move toward his major goal of draining the DC swamp.

His administration has managed to reveal another scandal regarding the Veteran's Affairs

hiring practices.

The Department of Veteran's Affairs allows their veterans to be given medical care by

Doctors and Nurses who are no longer medically licensed.

This is not just something that occurred once.

It is an ongoing practice that has been continually happening for the past 15 years and it's

against the law.

Back in 2002, the VA delivered national guidelines in which it allowed local hospitals to employ

medical staff after "prior consideration of all relevant facts surrounding" any revocations.

Under the condition to still possess a license in any of the 50 states of the U.S.

However, the guideline opposes a federal law passed in 1999 which bars the VA from employing

any healthcare worker whose license has been revoked by any of the 50 states.

Our vets are receiving medical treatment like second class citizens, while illegal immigrants

who pay nothing to this country are being treated by professionals.

According to a report by USA Today, Veteran patients are in imminent danger at VA hospital

in D.C.

They say an investigation has found that "Conditions are so dangerous at the Department of Veterans

Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C., that the agency's chief watchdog issued

a rare preliminary report Wednesday to alert patients and other members of the public"

The inspector general of the VA discovered that an operating room at the hospital had

no vascular patches to seal blood vessels and ultrasound probes used to map blood flow.

The facility had to borrow equipment and was running out of crucial supplies.

The inspector general concluded that this hospital serves the needs of more than 98,000

veterans in Washington and lacks the necessary inventory system.

Senior VA leaders were aware of the problem for months and hadn't done nothing about

it.

Michael Missal, the VA Inspector General said :"Although our work is continuing, we believed

it appropriate to publish this Interim Summary Report given the exigent nature of the issues

we have preliminary identified and the lack of confidence in VHA adequately and timely

fixing the root causes of these issues."

He rarely uses such preliminary findings.

Previously he used them in January 2015 when lapses were found in urology care at the Phoenix.

After Missal informed officials about the situation in Washington's hospitals, the

VA set in place an incident command center, sending logistics specialists, technicians

and managers to fix the problems.

The inspector general expressed that such actions are "short term and potentially

insufficient to guarantee the implementation of an effective inventory management system

and address the other issues identified."

He wrote"Further, shortages of medical equipment and supplies continued to occur…, confirming

that problems persisted despite these measures."

In response, the VA delivered a statement in a report release on Wednesday, saying that

the medical center director, Brian Hawkins, was replaced to administrative duty, "effective

immediately."

The statement noted :"The department considers this an urgent patient-safety issue," continuing

"VA is conducting a swift and comprehensive review into these findings.

VA's top priority is to ensure that no patient has been harmed.

If appropriate, additional disciplinary actions will be taken in accordance with the law."

David Shulkin, the new VA Secretary said to USA Today that he is accepting of outside

opinions in hopes that that may aid his goal to fix the ineffective agency.

This investigation started as a result of an anonymous complained on March 21, and discovered

194 reports of cases where the safety of patients had been compromised due to inadequate equipment,

through the course of the past three years.

According to USA today among the findings were:

In February 2016, a tray used in repairing jaw fractures was removed from the hospital

because of an outstanding invoice to a vendor.

In April 2016, four prostate biopsies had to be canceled because there were no tools

to extract the tissue sample.

In June 2016, the hospital found one of its surgeons had used expired equipment during

a procedure In March 2017, the facility found chemical

strips used to verify equipment sterilization had expired a month earlier, so tests performed

on nearly 400 items were not reliable The inspector general on the case said that

these practices put patients in "unnecessary risk," but didn't indicate if any of the

patients were actually harmed.

He wrote"The OIG's work is continuing and will include an assessment of whether

patient harm has resulted from any of these inventory practices in its final report on

the Medical Center."

Our veterans deserve the best of care for their service to our country.

Hiring unlicensed Doctors and Nurses is an inexcusable mistake that should be made right

immediately.

OH YES HE DID!!! Trump Just Declared April A New National Holiday!

Dem's Lose Their Minds!

Easter is only a day away, and with Holy Week fully underway the President has decided to

do something that most people will be surprised by.

But nonetheless, it is good news.

President Trump officially announced through a press statement that April 2018 is National

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

The press release is titled "President Donald J. Trump Proclaims April 2018 as National

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month" and reads as follows,

"During National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, we remain steadfast

in our efforts to stop crimes of sexual violence, provide care for victims, enforce the law,

prosecute offenders, and raise awareness about the many forms of sexual assault.

We must continue our work to eliminate sexual assault from our society and promote safe

relationships, homes, and communities.

Sexual assault crimes remain tragically common in our society, and offenders too often evade

accountability.

These heinous crimes are committed indiscriminately: in intimate relationships, in public spaces,

and in the workplace.

We must respond to sexual assault by identifying and holding perpetrators accountable.

Too often, however, the victims of assault remain silent.

They may fear retribution from their offender, lack faith in the justice system, or have

difficulty confronting the pain associated with the traumatic experience.

My Administration is committed to raising awareness about sexual assault and to empowering

victims to identify perpetrators so that they can be held accountable.

We must make it as easy as possible for those who have suffered from sexual assault to alert

the authorities and to speak about the experience with their family and friends.

When victims seek help, responses must be carefully tailored to the context in which

the sexual assault occurred and the unique needs of each victim.

To better assist victims, the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women

has developed the Sexual Assault Victim Intervention Services Technical Assistance Center (SAVIS

TAC).

This new resource will help community officials and organizations appropriately respond to

sexual assault by expanding their understanding of the type of support likely to be effective

in each unique circumstance.

Participants in the SAVIS TAC initiative will use available funds to provide intensive training

and resources to service providers.

With these resources, service providers, including rape crisis centers and other sexual assault

and domestic violence organizations can build organizational and staff capacity for providing

comprehensive sexual assault victim intervention services.

Together, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we recommit ourselves to doing our

part to help stop sexual violence.

We must not be afraid to talk about sexual assault and sexual assault prevention with

our loved ones, in our communities, and with those who have experienced these tragedies.

We must encourage victims to report sexual assault and law enforcement to hold offenders

accountable, and we must support victims and survivors unremittingly.

Through a concerted effort to better educate ourselves, empower victims, and punish criminals,

our Nation will move closer to ending the grief, fear, and suffering caused by sexual

assault.

The prevention of sexual violence is everyone's concern.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue

of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim

April 2018 as National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

I urge all Americans, families, law enforcement, healthcare providers, community and faith-based

organizations, and private organizations to support survivors of sexual assault and work

together to prevent these crimes in their communities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of March, in the year

of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America

the two hundred and forty-second."

The timing is interesting as the House and Senate recently voted on and passed H.R. 1865,

the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act of 2017.

It is a bipartisan piece of legislation that gives federal, state, and local authorities

and prosecutors the ability to hold websites accountable for supporting the sale of sex

trafficking victims.

H.R. 1865 is expected to be signed by the President soon but has yet to be.

Over the last year the administration as well as the president's daughter Ivanka Trump,

in her capacity as a special adviser, have been tirelessly working to bring the modern

slave trade to the mainstream media as a topic of consistent conversation.

Both Trump's have met with lawmakers, stakeholders, and actors in the field who are experts on

the issue to brainstorm ideas on how to combat this terrible issue.

While many look to the administration and say they are doing nothing on the issue the

facts speak for themselves and it is clear they are taking sexual assault, sex trafficking,

and modern slavery very seriously.

Regardless of what people think of the president and his administration they are taking real

positive steps in the right direction on this issue.

Aides Describe Trump As Increasingly "Volatile And Isolated" - Duration: 3:59.

According to recent reports that interviewed aides for the President of the United States,

Donald Trump is increasingly becoming more isolated.

He is essentially as they describe it fuming around the White House all day long.

Now according to the aides, there are several reasons why Donald Trump is basically worse

than he's ever been.

In fact, in the interviews they have said that the kind of emotional state of the White

House, the emotional state of the president, and the tension inside that White House is

actually the worst it's ever been since Donald Trump got sworn in.

One of the biggest reasons, they think at least, is because Hope Hicks is now gone as

the White House communications director.

Hope Hicks was a very close confidante of Donald Trump.

She was one of the few people that kind of helped to keep him calm, keep him centered.

She did a poor job of it, but at least hey, maybe she tried every now and then.

With her gone, Donald Trump has nobody to confide in, nobody to calm him down, nobody

to talk him down from some of his more insane ideas.

On top of that, the aides also point out that the fact that Jared Kushner is basically a

bumbling idiot causing headache after headache for the president.

That's also making Donald Trump a little more volatile than usual.

He wants Jared Kushner gone.

He wants Ivanka gone from the White House.

He just doesn't want to be one to do it, so he's been trying to get Chief of Staff John

Kelly to work on a way to get rid of Jared and Ivanka that makes it looks like Trump

is keeping his hands clean in the whole matter when in reality he's super pissed at them

all day long, and they're making life miserable for everyone in that White House.

I've run out of sympathy for the aides and the White House.

I know it sucks, but I know you guys are trying to find new jobs, but if you're still there,

if you're still staying in what is essentially a horrible relationship, at some point it

does become your fault.

I know it's tough to leave.

I know it's tough to find a new job.

I know it's tough to start over, but if things are as bad as you say, you have to do that

anyway for your own sanity, for your own health, for your own well-being.

Leave Donald Trump.

Leave the White House.

Leave politics if you have to if you can't find another job, but don't stay with this

guy just because you think it's going to further your career or give you a brighter future.

The aides that have left the White House aren't fairing so well in the political job market

right now.

The longer you stay, the more toxic you become.

Trump is a cancer not just on the country, but on the White House itself and in everybody

who works there with him.

He is infecting you.

If you continue to stay there and then you leave and you go find a new job and say, "Hey.

Yeah.

I worked at the White House with Donald Trump for three years."

It's going to look a lot worse than saying, "I worked at the White House with Trump for

two months before I decided this isn't normal."

My advice to these aides, first of all, please keep leaking these stories because they're

phenomenal and we need to know just how volatile and unhinged this man is, but two, for your

own sanity, please go find another line of work because this job is going to take its

toll on you like you can't even imagine and leave you with a black mark that no other

employer is going to want to touch.

First Roseanne, Now Another Major Pro-Trump Actor Is Infuriating Libs With Huge New Show! - Duration: 5:06.

First Roseanne, Now Another Major Pro-Trump Actor Is Infuriating Libs With Huge New Show!

America has once again come together to show Hollywood that what we will support pro-Conservative,

decent content.

That was shown to them very clearly after the smashing successes of the pro-Trump Roseanne

re-boot that broke records earlier this week.

The show, which was a remake of a classic comedy, came back into our lives with big

success, breaking records and surprising liberals.

The all original cast showed the world that you don't have to be politically correct

to make good on television.

Their success has in fact drawn not just views, but executives to examine why exactly we are

watching this show.

Previously.

Hollywood has been a liberal monopoly and conservatives were wary if that could ever

be changed.

Roseanne might be bringing back with it another conservative favorite that was previously

snuffed out in the prime of its life.

The Daily Caller reports that Fox Entertainment is considering bringing back it's former

hit "Last Man Standing" in the wake of Rosanne's success:

"Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing, could be next in line for a reboot on Fox thanks

to the massive ratings from Tuesday night's premiere of 'Roseanne.

Over 18 million viewers tuned in to see the blue-collar Conner family return to the small

screen, and that is at least partly attributed to the fact that Roseanne is a Trump supporter.

This, according to a report from TMZ, could open the door for Allen's conservative character

Mike Baxter.

"Last Man Standing," which was produced by Fox for ABC, was canceled in 2017.

Although at the time ABC denied rumors that politics played a part in the cancellation,

Allen wasn't sure that was the case.

'There's nothing more dangerous to me, especially in this climate, than a funny,

likable conservative,' Allen said at the time.

'That was the most dangerous thing, because he was mitigated on his show by a family of

women that had different opinions — but the guy was a likable guy, a principled guy,

just about work and ethics and all this stuff.

I think there's nothing more dangerous now than a likable conservative character.'

Allen, who always wanted Mike Baxter to be an Archie Bunker-type and 'push boundaries,'

may get a second chance to do just that.

TMZ's report suggests that 'Last Man Standing' now tops the short list, followed by 'That

70s Show' and 'Malcolm in the Middle.'

If it all comes down to Allen, the reboot is as good as made.

He told Fox News in January, 'I, along with the talented writers, wonderful crew and terrific

actors would definitely entertain the idea of bringing the show back as there is so much

gas left in the tank, more to be said, and laughs to be had.'"

Just how big a success was Rosanne, you might be wondering?

Here are some of the statistics that Daily Vine reported earlier in the week, provided

by Yahoo about how many viewers the conservative-friendly sit-com brought in:

"The first episode in the double episode opener is reported to have drawn 17.7 million

pairs of eyes and have a 4.9 rating in adults 18-49.

The second episode at 8:30 PM rose even higher to 18.6 million viewers and a 5.3 in 18-49.

For the 8 PM hour, Roseanne averaged a 5.1 in 18-49 and 18.2 million viewers.

To make the success even more impressive is the fact that this broadcast shows an audience

that was up 10% from the May 1997 finale telecast 21 years ago and topped the viewership of

the final 12 telecasts of the original run's 1996-97 season.

Despite the obviously pro-Trump main character, Roseanne scored as the highest rated show

on entertainment television in 6 years among adults 18-49 and TV's highest-rated comedy

telecast on any night in 3 to 1 or 2 years– since 9-22-14.

It is the top scripted telecast this season only behind the post-Super Bowl episode of

This Is Us."

The limousine liberals that run the left coast have all bought into the theory that their

idealistic and unrealistic visions of how they think life should be, displayed on our

TV screens, day after day, will make us want to strive for a better world.

In reality, it's just alienating their audience and making way for the more relateable genre

of programming.

What we might have hoped that the entire nation would have learned from the Trump election

is that the silent majority might not be as loud and obnoxious as their counterparts on

the left, but when something great comes along, they show up and support it.

That's what they saw a peak of with "Last Man Standing" and it's what they saw in

a big way in November of 2016.

Hopefully Hollywood will soon understand that any time the target audience is hardworking,

taxpaying middle Americans, conservative values will win the day.

President Trump Has Some Very Special Plans For Easter This Year - Duration: 2:55.

President Trump Has Some Very Special Plans For Easter This Year

The 45th President of the United States has some pretty awesome plans for Easter this

year.

Reportedly one of President Trump's favorite holidays, the commander-in-chief will spend

his second Easter in office at his Mar-a-Lago club, closing out the November to April social

season in Palm Beach.

Trump is expected to fly from Ohio, where he'll be giving a speech on his infrastructure

plan, to Florida early Thursday evening.

His schedule has him arriving back at the White House on Sunday, just in time for Monday's

traditional Easter egg hunt on the South Lawn.

President Trump will join First lady Melania and son Barron, who spent the week at Mar-a-Lago

relaxing as Barron has been off from school. Here's more from Newsweek:

Donald Trump Jr. is also in Florida, and was seen at a Palm Beach CrossFit gym he's been

known to frequent.

Trump Jr.'s wife, Vanessa, was also nearby on the beach with her children, despite filing

for divorce this month.

Trump typically attends Easter Sunday mass at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea,

where he was married to Melania in 2005.

Last year, churchgoers were required to go through metal detectors but were reportedly

surprised to see the president show up five minutes before the morning service began.

Mar-a-Lago also hosted an Easter brunch and egg hunt last year, that Trump attended with

his children and grandchildren. The visit will cause road closures and delays in the Palm

Beach area beginning Thursday morning.

All forms of travel, including pedestrian, will be prohibited near the golf club and

marine security zones will be put in place.

A 30-mile no-fly zone will also be in effect with some exceptions: A local church, NewSound,

has been given permission by the Federal Aviation Administration to use a helicopter to scatter

Easter eggs.Last year, Trump ended his visits to Mar-a-Lago after Easter and returned again

in November for Thanksgiving.

During the summer months, the president prefers to visit his property in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Trump will return to Washington D.C. on Sunday with Melania to prepare for Monday's Easter

egg roll, The White House's 140th.

The Easter holiday is a time to reflect on the nature of grace.

Although we make mistakes as human beings, God, in his infinite mercy, is forgiving.

And with the previous administration, we as a people definitely strayed from our best

for eight years.

But now, we've course-corrected and, by and large, things are looking up.

Roseanne's Surprising Reason She Supports Trump Is From 'Who He Set Free' - Duration: 6:15.

Roseanne's Surprising Reason She Supports Trump Is From 'Who He Set Free'

This week some 18.3 million Americans chose to tune in to watch the reboot of the 90s

sitcom Roseanne.

To put that number into perspective, it may help to know that more people tuned in to

watch the new Roseanne than tuned in to watch the farewell episode of the original show

when it originally aired in 1997.

Remember 1997 was back when people still watched network television on a regular basis, back

before widespread social media use or the prevalence of the internet, yet the reboot

of this same show blew those 90s numbers away.

The debut of the show reboot aired back-to-back episodes on March 27, 2018, scoring a 5.1

rating in the key demographic of adults age 18-49.

The Tuesday night two-episode revival of Roseanne launched with the same emotional flare that

made the original Conner family working-class comedy a 90s cult classic, updated for the

millennial age and set in the Trump era.

Those numbers mean something and should speak loudly to top decision makers as they represent

the size of the potential threat to their bottom line should they choose to ignore them,

as well as the size of the potential profits should they choose to pay attention and meet

them head-on.

It is no secret that Hollywood holds President Donald Trump in abject contempt.

As a result, these top decision-makers have been making content for and by people who

share their opinions of loathing and contempt.

Yet the new Roseanne should be a much-needed wake-up call.

As TableMag.com puts it "there is a large audience of Americans who are sick of sneering,

condescending, authoritarian right-think that pounds away at the thought-crimes of people

who work their asses off and send their kids off to wars while falling further and further

behind on their car and mortgage payments."

The show shows Roseanne Barr reuniting with her on-screen husband Dan played by John Goodman.

The pair face new challenges as a working-class family in middle America as their unemployed

daughter Darlene played by Sara Gilbert moves back home with her two children, along with

the recently widowed older daughter, Becky, played by Alicia Goranson.

Roseanne and her on-screen sister Jackie played by Laurie Metcalf, clash over the election

of Donald Trump to the presidency."He talked about jobs, Jackie!"

Roseanne says to her "Nasty Woman" T-shirt-clad sister, who vocally supported Hillary Clinton

but walked into the booth and voted for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

"He said he'd shake things up!

I mean, this might come as a complete shock to you, but we almost lost our house, the

way things are going."

Moments later, just before the family eats dinner, Roseanne says a prayer — she asks

Jackie, "Would you like to take a knee?" — in which she thanks God for her son D.J.'s

(Michael Fishman) safe return home from his military service in Syria and "most of all

Lord, thank you, for making America great again."

Barr, the namesake of both versions of the sitcom, agrees and offered some words of praise

for President Trump on Twitter Friday evening.

Barr tweeted – "President Trump has freed so many children held in bondage to pimps

all over this world.

Hundreds each month.

He has broken up trafficking rings in high places everywhere.

notice that.

I disagree on some things, but give him benefit of doubt-4 now."Barr posted the article

mentioned above from TableMag.com discussing the reboot of her show and the tweets were

related to the discussion that followed regarding her show and its relation to President Trump.

The series of tweets followed a proclamation issued by the White House issued by the White

House on Friday declaring the month of April to be "National Sexual Assault Awareness

and Prevention Month."

The Trump administration stated in the formal announcement – "We remain steadfast in

our efforts to stop crimes of sexual violence, provide care for victims, enforce the law,

prosecute offenders, and raise awareness about the many forms of sexual assault.

We must continue our work to eliminate sexual assault from our society and promote safe

relationships, homes, and communities."

TableMag.com goes on to state –

"Roseanne is the first decent argument that Donald Trump has had in the culture business

since he got elected.

It's even more powerful coming from a comedian like Roseanne who, bless her soul, may be

the single most important feminist symbol in America, relevant because she belongs not

to the moneyed and privileged chattering vanguards but to the working class.

Roseanne herself knows Trump and appears to personally dislike him.

But she's given him this arguably undeserved gift because she also agrees with him on several

key issues, like trade and political correctness.

She also understands that Trump plugs in to the frustrations of millions of Americans

who've been getting shafted for nearly three decades now with neither Democrats nor traditional

Republicans doing much to help them out.

Almost for certain, the success of the new season of Roseanne will lead many bien pensants

to call the comedian a crackpot or worse.

But Roseanne needed just one night to remind us of why she's the single most popular

television star in America, or maybe the most popular woman in America.

Good luck to those who will now try to turn a legitimate working-class white feminist

Roseanne's success sends yet another reminder, as if the travesty of last November wasn't

enough, that most Americans will reward anyone who merely takes the time and the trouble

to acknowledge that they exist."Barr herself stated it was important to her "to have

that dialogue about families torn apart by the election and their political differences

of opinion and how we handle it.

I thought that this was an important thing to say at this time."

Intel Officer Explains Why Obama Could Be 'First President In History' To Be Hit

With a FELONY INDICTMENT After months of the liberal media ridiculing

Trump over his claim that Obama spied on him during the election, Trump finally got vindication

this week.

America learned the truth on Tuesday that Obama did in fact unconstitutionally spy on

Trump throughout the presidential election, leaving Barack Obama with his pants down yet

again.

Now former intelligence officer Lt. Col Tony Shaffer just revealed that Obama's wiretapping

was not only a federal crime, but says that the results of this investigation will likely

result in Obama being brought up on FELONY CHARGES.

The colonel's dire prediction about Obama's future is sending shock-waves through the

black hearts of liberals all across America today, as it's now thrown a monkey wrench

into Obama's plans to stage his "political comeback" this fall.

In a recent interview with Trending Today USA, Lt. Col Tony Shaffer called 'Obamagate'

an "order of magnitude" even bigger than the Watergate scandal because the incident

included "using nation-state resources for purposes of political gain."

When asked if Obama could be arrested for violating the law, he said that it would be

the "first time a former president could be indicted for a felony."

"…I think it is very possible that he acted outside of the scope of his duties,

responsibilities and authorities to turn the resources of a nation-state on a candidate.

This is, as I've said before, soviet-dictator level wrongdoing," he added.

Shaffer said that Obama using government resources to spy on Trump was for the sole purpose of

getting Hillary into office, as Obama hoped the wiretapping would produce enough "dirt"

on Trump to sabotage his presidential run.

Given Shaffer's lengthy military career, his rise to the top of the American intelligence

community, and his current senior position at the prestigious London Center for Policy

Research, his prediction about Obama shouldn't be scoffed at.

Being brought up on felony charges would completely destroy Obama's plan of making his political

comeback this year, as he'd be trying to figure out a way to keep himself out of prison

instead of spending his hours obsessing with ways to bring Trump down.

The Hill reported on just how extensive Obama's spying truly was, as this unconstitutional

move wasn't just limited to listening in on Trump's calls.

They reported:

If these reports are accurate, it means U.S. intelligence agencies secretly surveilled

at least a half dozen Trump associates.

And those are just the ones we know about.

Besides Manafort, the officials include former Trump advisers Carter Page and Michael Flynn.

Last week, we discovered multiple Trump "transition officials" were "incidentally" captured

during government surveillance of a foreign official.

We know this because former Obama adviser Susan Rice reportedly admitted "unmasking,"

or asking to know the identities of, the officials.

Spying on U.S. citizens is considered so sensitive, their names are supposed to be hidden or "masked,"

even inside the government, to protect their privacy.

In May, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Acting Attorney General

Sally Yates acknowledged they, too, reviewed communications of political figures, secretly

collected under President Obama.

After getting away with whatever the hell he wanted over the past 8 years and wiping

his butt with the Constitution, it looks like Obama's cockiness might just be his undoing.

He might have gotten away with his antics in the past, but things are vastly different

now that Obama doesn't have all his minions blocking all investigations into his crimes,

as was the case when he was president.

If this colonel's predication is in fact true, Obama's little plan to keep trolling

Trump with his little shadow government from the headquarters of his D.C. home could soon

be coming to an abrupt end.

How poetic would it be that after spending 8 years pandering to terrorists and trying

to destroy America that Obama could live out the rest of his life behind bars in an orange

jumpsuit?

Sounds like perfect justice for America!

Trump SWEARS He'll Lower Prescription Drug Prices - Duration: 6:52.

President Trump doubled down on his campaign promise to lower prescription drug prices

for American citizens.

But Americans are skeptical to buy his promise, especially considering how entrenched, absolutely

entrenched, our lawmakers are with big pharma money.

Big pharma passes around so much money, Farron, that ... I mean, it's startling, the amount

of money.

So what ends up happening is finally somebody in The White House says "Oh my god.

Look at the markup that pharma is doing here.

A pill that costs 50 cents in Europe costs $50 in America."

We've known that for ages.

You and I have done stories on this over the ... What are some of the markups?

I mean, these markups are amazing.

I look at Celebrex, 100-milligram Celebrex is a 21,000% markup.

Right?

Take it from there.

I mean-

You got Lipitor, highly popular medication in the United States, markup, 4,696%.

Paxil, markup, 2,898.

Prilosec, which so many Americans are on every single day, the markup on that one, 69,417%-

Which might kill you in the end because it's a PPI, and now we're finding out PPI is causing

a whole host of physical injuries.

Okay, so Trump comes out, of all people, and says "You know, we're going to do something

about this."

At this point, what you have is you have five states ... Under his plan, you'll have five

states that are allowed to go to Medicaid and say to Medicaid, "You're charging too

much money," and that makes the market hopefully respond.

We should see some activity there, shouldn't we?

If that really happens, if it really happens.

Well, yeah, we should.

To be honest, I have very ... I don't even know that I've ever said a kind word about

Donald Trump-

I've never heard you say a kind word.

... but I will say if anybody can do this, it might be a guy like him.

I don't want people to think I'm suddenly on the Trump train here but if you think about

it, Donald Trump isn't the kind of guy who has spent enough time there to be completely

corrupted, as both Republicans and Democrats are, by big pharma money.

So it might be possible.

And he may be so naïve that he doesn't understand that he can't do anything about big pharma

making a 70 ... Prilosec, 69,000% markup on Prilosec.

$69,000 ... I mean 69,000%.

It may be he's looking at this, he saying "I can get something done," maybe he's so

naïve that where he doesn't understand that big pharma owns and operates Washington DC.

Well, see, and that's part of the issue here too though is that ... Trump has said this

several times.

This is not the first we've heard of this.

He does understand also that his approval ratings are bad.

42%, it just hit this all-time high of 42%-

It's like that's a big deal, he's 40 [crosstalk 00:03:03]-

Right, and we know that he is obsessed with these poll numbers.

He wants people to love him.

Yeah.

This could be a way.

I know it's to serve-

Oh, this-

... his own ego, but if it still helps the American public by not-

But-

... making us pay a 70% markup-

The only thing that solves this problem ... You remember the pharma bro?

Okay.

Pharma bro gets sentenced to prison for ... I forgot what.

Was it seven-

Seven.

Seven years.

Seven years-

Yeah.

... okay.

People think he was sentenced to prison for marking up that AIDS Drug like a gazillion

percent.

No, he was sentenced to prison because he tried to steal money from rich people in a

Ponzi scheme.

So really, it comes right down to it, it's going to take a lot to really move this ball.

Endo ... Look, this is a great example.

$270 million to resolve an antitrust case ... This is amazing.

People don't realize that, but you have companies like Endo that ... You have these drug companies

that ... what they do is they pay generic drug makers to delay the release of cheaper

medication.

This has been going on for decades now, but the fines aren't working.

If we want this practice to end, we're going have to have stricter punishment.

Give us an example of how this goes.

Well, right now, especially with this case, you have Endo who makes these LIDODERM pain

patches.

What they did is they reached out to the generic company because their patent was expiring

after 10 years as it does so the generics can flood the market and lower the prices.

They offered the generic company ... They say "Hey, look.

We're going to pay you $100 million, $200 million, whatever it is, to just not do that

yet.

Give us two more years, give us three more years of milking consumers.

We'll pay you more than you would make from making this generic.

We'll make more money, you make more money, everybody wins except the consumers."

That's what happened here with Endo.

Teva pharmaceuticals is also on there.

Teikoku-

Okay-

... is in there.

Okay, but the way it works is you have to have a generic company that says "You know,

I can make more money by keeping my product off the market than I can on the market."

A company like Endo says "Okay.

Let's do the calculations.

If we keep the generic out of the market and we keep the prices down, we're going to have

a window of a couple of years where we can make hundreds and hundreds of millions of

dollars.

So is it worth it to us ... " I think the exchange at one point was about $60 million.

One of the generic companies says "Yeah, I'll take $60 million."

Well, in doing that, the Japanese drugmaker who actually was involved in this process

... they make a lot of money, right?

Isn't that what this about?

You keep the consumer having to pay more money by keeping generics out of the market.

It is absolutely.

It's the scam ... it has a name.

It's called pay-to-delay and it's been around for decades.

This is how they operate.

This is why when we talk about stories about Trump saying he wants to lower prescription

drug prices, it's not just a political thing because until we get these people who are

engaging in these scams ... until you get them in prison, they're not going to stop.

They'll break-

[crosstalk 00:06:19]-

... the law all they want.

The statute provides for prison time, understand ... Antitrust, these statutes provide very

specifically, for somebody doing this, the right to go to prison.

But the fines that come out, the settlements that come out, nothing ever really happens

like that.

If you can pick up another couple of ... $500 million by doing this, by having some generic

stay, "Hey buddy, you stay out of the market.

You shut up.

We're going to pay you just to be quiet."

If you can do that long enough, you make a ton of money.
